Perfect Maharashtrian food. Fabulous bhakri and mutton I just love the food from this place and they home delivery quite neatly so highly recommend
This restaurant is a good option if you are craving homely veg / non veg food, to be delivered in a short time.
We have had pithla bhakri, sev bhaji, jeera rice from this restaurant - and it was very tasty. The food has a very homely taste and the portion size is adequate.
What a seriously underrated place! We need more places like this - serving high quality, super tasty food. I've never been a big fan of Maharashtrian food, but this place has changed that for me. I've tried their Chicken Sukka - huge portion, tasty masala, and can be eaten either as a starter or with chapati. Their chicken masala in the mains is a star in itself, with a thick, medium spicy, and very flavourful gravy with the typical taste of Maharashtrian coconut masala. Their biryanis are also incredibly tasty and filling, and served with a side of gravy that can be mixed with the rice, or had separately like a soup.
Absolutely LOVE the food from here.

Not at all bad. Ordered chicken thali and gotta say, chicken was really good. It was oily though but I kinda was expecting it since thalis have somewhat oily gravy. Definitely would recommend it.
We ordered one chicken sukka for starter. Chicken was nicely cooked. Masala was unique. Overall nice dish. Then we ordered a Chicken Handi with Bhakri. The chicken was a little bit harder, but it should be fine if you are Maharashtrian. Rassa tested nice. Bhakris were well cooked. Overall really nice restaurant with Maharashtrian flavour. Pocket friendly. Quantity was enough for three people.

Me and my friend was craving for mutton... We ordered half mutton handi,mutton mejwani, chicken fry and paya soup ... From soup to main course it was perfect my favourite was mutton mejwani I loved it....chapati's were very soft indrani rice n gravy was 😘😘😘😘......thecha was complimentary .... manager was very attentive nice guy... Due to taste n manager I will visit soon wish I could give them more than 5star
Tried chicken tawa rice from this place. It was delicious, perfect amount of spices and the chicken pieces were juicy as well. They serve a raita with it and must, say it's very nice as well, just like the icing on the cake. I wasn't sure about their quantity but the quantity is good enough. Must try.

Had been to Pune for a day and was exploring authentic marathi food and Maratha Mejwani just gave us a perfect treat!! An awesomely prepared chicken curry and basmati rice in the marathi chicken thali just made my day! Highly recommended if you want something simple and tasty, this is the place for you. Great cordial staffs around to make you conformable and enjoy your food! Keep it up guys!

We usually order lunch from here. It very pocket friendly yet delicious. Two people can easily have lunch with single meal. The quality of roti is excellent.

A delightful experience of mutton curry, mutton keema and chapathi, followed by chaach. staff is friendly and efficient, and the place is cozy and clean. the owner suggested to squeeze a fresh lemon into the mutton keema, and viola, it was culinary heaven! i came out happy with a blissful palate and a happy wallet.. a surprisingly inexpensive and delightful experience!
Ordered the Mini Chicken & Mutton thali from this place yesterday with quiet a doubt, but the food which they delivered was so freakin good. I wanted to eat a proper Maharashtrian non veg so I even took bhakri instead of chapati & to be honest they were soft and properly cooked unlike most of the places that do not serve a proper bhakri. The chicken and mutton curries were giving a feel of being home cooked so u can guess how happy I was. The rice was also good. YLoved your food Maratha Meejwani if I could I would love to give you more rating👍👍

Visited with colleagues.. It is a small no-frills place but the food is awesome! The mutton thali here is at par with any other mutton thali speciality restaurant in Pune. In fact, the quality of mutton (freshness and tenderness) is a tad above others. Kheema and Mutton sukkha were outstanding. Only negative was the bhakri which was very thick and very dry. Chapatis were nice home-like.
The chicken thali ordered by my friend was equally good!
Of course this is not a restaurant where one should expect AC, but yes, a desert cooler in this scorching heat would do wonders to the dine-in experience!

An average looking restaurant with no Ac seating however good and comfortable seating for about 30 people or so is located in one if the happening streets of Pune, so if you had a lazy Sunday at home or looking for some authentic meal post a few beers, this is where you can head to for some authentic Maharashtrain home style food.
The theme is pretty simple which gives a very homely feeling and is made of bamboo sticks which somehow manages to keep the place cool.
Their menu is pretty simple and sorted with the local food options. Upon ordering, our lunch started with a glass of kokam sharbat which was the exact refreshment needed after a long drive. Their primary focus is on Mejwaani cuisine which comes from the core Vidharbh area and is succulent with its taste.
We tried the Mejwaani special mutton thali with jowar bhakri. The mutton gravy with mejwaani preparation is worth a try, mutton keema was the best part about this thali which was one of its kind and mutton sukkha was equally impressive. Spicy and full of masalas, it tasted out of this world.
Obviously we expect a thecha with this thali which was enough to make me sweat for it was utterly spicy and tasty.
To calm us down post this spicy meal we ordered ourself some chaas and then solkadi.
We ended the meal with shrikhand which made our experience real sweet and calm.
They seem to be serving fried fishes and in gravy too however we couldn't make best of it coz the thali got us full and then they had limited options with fish as that is not their core focus.
Even after eating all the spices, it doesn't feel heavy on the stomach nor does it disturb the digestion. Which gives us all the more reason to visit again.
All in all, a place I would want to visit again.
Had mutton Curry with bhakari. The taste was lingering even an hour after finishing the food. Mutton Curry is totally recommend. Do try their veg dishes too

Maratha Mejwani; a traditional restaurant has wonderful food. We sat inside the cozy set up in chilling 15 Degree temp and had a gala dinner in this Pune climate.
The special was Chicken chukka with some lip smacking taste. Everything was fantastic! We also had a Non-Veg thali, yummy! The chapati, korma, all of 'em. Especially the chicken stock all had my taste buds tingling...
Didn't had to wait too long, order was right on time with the hunger pangs on..
5 ain't enough, 10 it is worth the trip off the Gaikwad Wasti main road near Koregaon Park to eat here!
Good food. Love their small clean setup ! Was looking for a casual dinning place and it just appeared on the way home. Got it and made my order, but when checked online I realised it was 4Star rated on Google Maps and Zomato.
Ordered Mejwani Chicken and Chapatis.. The chicken was gooe, but ran short of gravy and taste wise it was good only that it was slightly extra salty. The chapatis - they were out of the world, every single bite of chapati you take will remind you of your mom ! Best chapati.
I tried their egg curry nd a paneer sabji... Frm the abv two, the egg curry is really a lip smacking 1 bt paneer sabji disappointed me... In my opinion if u want a lip smacking egg curry in a nominal price of around ₹120 then sure give it a try!!
Guys I am from Delhi and working in Pune. The food at Maratha Mejwaani reminded me of home. Awesome taste. Anyone who does not come back to eat may be abnormal.
Had it home delivered. Very neatly packed. The chicken sukha and chicken tava rice were very tasty and well prepared. Chapatis were good too.
Will surely visit the restaurant.

The non vegetarian food was really delicious , wouldn't say much about the vegetarian food. But yeah the non vegetarian is definitely worth a try .
