Unique styles of waffles with mind boggling combinations. The unique dishes are the waffle dosas. Everyone will drool over this amazing delicacy. Very pocket friendly and amazing taste will make you visit this place over and over. Try the Mac and cheese, you will not be disappointed. Thumbs up to this unique style of food. Will surely visit again.
The visit to this place has been wonderful.
We could try Paneer Sriracha in Mac n Cheese, which was basically a pasta. Then we had Hong Kong fries and lastly in deserts, Black forest Pancakes which was small pancakes having black forest topping on it.
All of these were tasty and made our tummy full.
We had been here during rains and the outdoor seating was a bit wet, the owner should do something about this.
Well everything else was good!
Worth a try once and you will visit again for sure, it is that kinda place.
This quaint Cafe in kothrud is up with some amazing stuff at very pocket friendly rates. We tried 1) Grubbie special fries: yummy with cheesy sause and fried onions topping .For INR 109/-
2)Angry Albert pinto: spicy Mac n cheese
3) Delhi style waffle chat: personally I didn't like it much because it gets soggy till the time it's served.Nice attempt though.
4)Madras masala waffle with 3 sides and dosa batter based waffle.Recommended!
5)Peanut butter and nuttela waffle: I'm not a big peanut butter fan but for those who like it..go for it.
We also tasted there new shake :the key lime shake: it has mint and basil leaves an is very refreshing.

I always need something savoury if there are many sweet items on my plate. Generally, many waffle places don't have option of savoury dishes but the newly opened 'Grub Shub' has it.
'Grubshub' recently opened their 1st branch in Pune at Karishma society in Kothrud. They've a really good and wide variety in the menu. The place is not very big but it's nice.
Now coming to the food, I tried :
⏺️ Coolers
1. Tamarind and Soda [Rs.129] : It had that very peculiar tangy taste of tamarind but at the same time it wasn't too sour so that you can enjoy it's taste.
⏺️ Ice cream Soda Floats
1. Raspberry Float [Rs.139] : It is something new to try if you're bored with regular coke-floats. The raspberry syrup with their in-house soda was topped with a scoop of vanilla icecream.
⏺️Shakes
1. Smooth Operator [Rs.179] : This shake was really good. It had the taste of strawberry cheesecake. The crumbs of biscuit were giving a very good texture to the shake. Overall it was creamy with perfect sweetness.
2. Key Lime Pie [Rs.179] : This is their signature shake. It had a prominent flavour of mint with a slight tanginess. The freshness of mint was giving a nice taste.
3. Hazelnut Cappuccino [Rs.129] : I felt both the flavors were not that prominent which made it little less enjoyable.
⏺️Fries
1. Grubbie Fries [Rs.109] : Both, taste wise and quantity wise these fries were really good. Fries were mixed with their special masala, yellow cheese sauce and was topped with fried onions. The sauce given with the fries was accompanying really well.
⏺️Mac n Cheese
1. Angry Albert Pinto [Rs.159] : This is a spicy version of classic mac n cheese. Mushrooms in spicy balchao sauce were added in the pasta. It was then baked nicely with lots of cheese.
⏺️ Sweet Belgian Waffles
1. Chocolate Overload [Rs.179] : For all the chocolate lovers, this one's for you. The waffle was literally overloaded with lots of chocolate ganache, white chocolate ganache, sprinklers and chocochips. Even after adding all this, it wasn't too sweet which made it enjoyable.
2. Wow Waffle Tukda [Rs.129] : I loved this desi fusion. With right amount of sweetness and the perfect consistency, the basundi was delicious. It was then poured on waffle and was garnished with lots of almonds and pistachios.
⏺️ Chatpata Waffles
1. Fully Loaded Tex Mex [Rs.169] : These waffles were simply superb. Savoury waffles were topped with spicy rajma, onion-tomato salsa with bell peppers, cheese sauce and sour cream. It was served with tortilla chips. #Recommended
2. Chipotle Mushrooms [Rs.149] : Well cooked mushrooms in creamy, cheesy and a bit spicy sauce were topped on crunchy savoury waffle.
⏺️ Dosa Waffle : This section of waffles is something new, different and you can definitely give a try.
The 3 types of chutneys which were served along these waffles were just amazing and tasty. 'chilli-garlic', 'mint' and 'tamarind'
1. Madras Masala Waffle Dosa [Rs.79] : The potato dosa bhaji was sandwiched between two savoury dosa waffles and then a masala and coriander was sprinkled on top. Dosa bhaji was good in taste and the waffle tasted delicious with this bhaji and the chutneys. #Recommended
2. Cheesy Waffle Dosa [Rs.99] : This dosa waffle had a lots of cheese on top with chili flakes, coriander and some spices. Personally, I don't like that much cheese in a single plate but if you like cheese you can try this one out.
Ambience : The place is not very big but it's lovely. They have given an industrial look to the kitchen. You can either seat inside where tables are adjoining to the wall or outside.
Nice and funky place with totally different menu which sets it apart . They have fries , many type of waffles , shakes and few drinks . I tried the grubby fries which was tasty . Chocolate shake was thick and fresh . Will definitely try waffles on my next visit. 4-5 tables available to sit.Service is quick
Grub shub has an amazing combination of Indian and western food!! Its trendy and funky. They have a variety of waffles, loved the taste!! Also tried the fries. Even they were good. Drool worthy food!!

After success in Mumbai,Grub shub is ready to serve in Pune with their heart.A piquant place opened in Karishma society,Kothrud if you’re searching for some good savoury waffles.The staff being helpful in all ways,also giving recommendations.
Ambience is cute as the Grubbie,their logo ambassador is cute.Grubbie is a character on basis various dishes are named.They also have plakards to click pictures and also a selfie wall.
Now it is a one week old cafe,they are running on many exciting offers.

Key lime pie shake-Nice fresh crushed mint leaves with blended vanilla icecream giving a thick texture to the shake is what I loved the most.❤️#Recommended
Raspberry float- Raspberry syrup with vanilla icecream and soda added to it giving a good texture and raspberry flavoured taste.
Tamarind & soda-Addition of soury tamarind annd pinch of rock salt with soda is a good combo one should definitely try here.
Smooth operator-A lusciously thick strawberries shake with digestive biscuits,vanilla icecream to give a creamy texture to the shake won my heart too.❤️ #Recommended

Chocolate overload-A perfect crispy waffle for chocolate lover with drizzling of mix chocolate chips and coated with melted chocolate.
Wow waffle tukda-A thick creamy rabdi poured on the ghee soaked warm waffle topped with pistachios to give the feel of Shahi tukda.A must unique try dish for a perfect dessert.#Recommended
—Dosa waffles—
Fully loaded tex mex-A fusion of mexican and South Indian to give you a very ultimate taste.The warm crispy dosa waffle topped with spicy beans,mexican sauce,sour cream to add the thickness and melted cheese with bell peppers and nachos to the sides.A very unusual dish I loved the most here and also the taste was super crunchy with cheesy toppings.#Recommended
Cheesy waffle dosa-A melted mozzarella cheese with seasonings topped generously on the warm crispy dosa waffle.The dosa waffle was peculiar in the taste and well herbed.#Recommended
Madras masala waffle dosa-A masala dosa waffle stuffed mashed potato bhaji (subzi) given with the 3 different chutneys.The chutneys were superb as they were prepared in-house using grandma’s recipes.#Recommended

Grubbie fries-Pepper tossed fried with oozing cheesy sauce topped with fried onions is what Grubbie wanted to make us taste😋.The fries were super crispy and didn’t sog at all.Sided with spicy mayo.#Recommended

Angry albert pinto-A cheesy hot mac n cheese tossed and prepared in goan spicy mushrooms sauce and topped with lots of stringy mozzarella cheese.I really loved the pasta as it was a very unique and combination won my heart.#Recommended

Opening it’s doors to Pune, and making all the way from Mumbai.. Grub Shub is a place destined for quick bites or for some chit-chat times with friends.
Ambience: Located in Kothrud, its a cute and tiny lil place in Karishma Society lane. The interior is filled with funky and sort if Puneri quotes. You can grab a table outside and to savour the tasty food.
Food: we ordered classic mac n cheese and sweet and chilly sriracha fries. Both the munchies were super tasty and I enjoyed my evening hogging on those crips whilst have some conversation with my friend.
They serve really amazing pastas.
And the waffles are just too good.
Definitely worth a visit.

Grub shub is a Mumbai outlet recently opened its chain in Pune. This place is remarkable. The quick bites and desserts that they serve are superb. Quality wise I totally loved this place. The new concept of waffles in different forms is what I liked the most. The taste of the food was perfect. The service was quick. The staff was friendly and courteous. The place is pocket-friendly as compared to other places.
*Chatpata waffle*
Fully loaded tex mex .. Waffles stuffed with spicy beans, Pico de Gallo, spicy nachos bits on the top and sour cream finish in the end. Amazing concept

Madras masala waffle Dosa
A waffle made out of Dosa batter stuffed with a mixture of potato masala, mustard and ... Of curry leaves served with masala hit chutney.
*Sweet Belgian waffle*
How can I miss their Chocolate overload waffle?
A perfect sweet dessert waffle topped with rich chocolate ganache, white chocolate ganache, dark chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips. It was drool-worthy. Must try for all chocolate lovers.
*Classic Shakes*
You must check their menu they have great varieties of shake. I tried them
Snickers shake-
The goodness of the entire snicker bar in a shake. It was thick and chocolaty.
*Grub shub shakes*
Smooth operator - Goodness of strawberries, white chocolate sauce, cream cheese, digestive biscuits, vanilla ice cream, and milk. Totally loved this one. Yes, it was so smooth sweet and perfect.
How about some food after a lot of waffle and shakes?
They have a really good variety of fries.
My favourite was chipotle tex mex fries- fries reloaded with spicy Mexican chipotle mayo. Yummy.
I had Soda at the end it was perfect.
Overall, A must try outlet if you're in or around Pune. It has two outlets in Pune one in Kothrud another one in wanowrie. Go visit now.

Grub Shub has nailed the concept “Fusion food" for me.
Pros:
1) Extremely well curated menu with a variety of dishes to choose from
2) Generous proportion size.
3) A great place for quick bites.
4) Quick Service
Cons :
1) The only issue is of four wheeler parking.
With a lots of restaurants opening up in Karishma Society, I think grub shub truly stands out for its experimentation with food. It's a small place for grabbing a quick bite with friends.
Coming to the food part, I had
🔺Chipotle Chicken Waffle : HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I was a bit skeptical before ordering a savory waffle but I was totally wrong. The waffle was crunchy above it sat a generous mixture of shredded chicken and mushroom slices which were cooked in various spices and above it was the Chipotle sauce. One bite of this made me go crazy.
🔺Mac n cheese Pasta : This was one tummy filling cheesy pasta.
🔺 Angry Albert Pinto : A spicer version of Mac n Cheese. I really liked this fusion dish because Mac n Cheese is always considered to be on a bit bland side. This one had a burst of flavors suitable for Indians.
🔺 Spicy Chicken Burger : A nice crunchy burger with cheese, lettuce and mayochup ( Mayonnaise and Ketchup). It could've been more spicer.
🔺 Nutella Shake : The milkshake had a nice thick creamy texture. I loved it ! Although it had a nutty-aftertaste I enjoyed the drink with my meal.
Verdict: If you're a adventurous foodie do give savory waffles a try. Don't miss out on their amazing shakes
Will be definitely visiting again for more.
