The Garden of Eden symbolises a place replete with happiness, a paradise which is what Garden of Edesia is, albiet with a similar name.
AMBIENCE (4/5): Seldom do you come across a place that leaves you spellbound and in awe. Garden of Edesia manages to do the same, with a dash of panache and a hint of sophistication. The open roof bar cum sports screening restaurant has a large open space spacious enough to fit in a sizable number of patrons. The large sports screen, bar counter and music are bound to make you tipsy, enthralled and groovy in that order. The use of plants accentuates the beauty of the place and lends it a cool atmosphere. I particularly liked the wall garden which so effortlessly manages to add more charm in the decor. The fountain in the corner attracts attention and the overall decor looks fantastic.
FOOD(4/5): I tried quite a few dishes and was left mesmerized by the end of the meal.
STARTERS:
1. LI COTTON PANEER: One of the best starters I've had, this fantastic combination of soft paneer stuffed with cheese had me drooling. The paneer was fresh, succulent and perfectly marinated. Stuffed with cheese and cooked to optimum, it was the perfect way to start the meal and alleviated my hunger. The accompanying chutney was fresh with flavours and complimented perfectly. Highly recommended.
2. CHEESY STUFFED POTATOES: Skinned potatoes, scooped out and stuffed with a medley of veggies in a fiery sweet chili sauce, this unique appetizer was rather delectable. The stuffing was sweet, spicy, with a fresh taste and the appetizer was served with a lovely side of fresh salad.A must try if you're bored of the regular appetizers one gets at most restaurants.
3. CHAR GRILLED PANEER: Soft fresh cottage cheese cubes, grilled on skewers and tossed in Barbecue sauce, this was a viand! The flavours made a riot on the palate and the paneer melted in the mouth. A generous portion of salad and dip made it all the more enticing. Not to mention the beautiful way of presentation which impressed me.
4. STUFFED CHEESE GARLIC NAAN: Beware! This is no regular naan. No, this isn't a cheese naan too. This is something much more delicious, so much that you can eat a naan by itself as an appetizer or as bites with your drink. The naan was generously stuffed with cheese, and topped with finely chopped garlic, baked to perfection. It had a lovely taste of cheese in each bite which was felt evenly throughout the naan, even the ends. I am impressed by the chef's attention to detail. Another must try!
MAIN COURSE
5. PANEER ROJALI: A thick curry of paneer cubes tossed in a rich, mildly sweet, creamy gravy, this was heaven personified. The curry had a perfect blend of Indian spices, coupled with a pleasant aroma and I just couldn't wait to dig in. Along with the cheese naan, it was simply dope.
6. THAI GREEN CURRY: A lovely Thai curry, whipped up with plethora of exotic veggies like broccoli, bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms in a sweet coconut broth, this Thai curry was a total bliss! Team it up with some rice and you're good to go. The consistency, taste and aroma hit all the right notes and produced the sweetest music.
DESSERTS
7. CHOCOLATE MOUSSE: Freshly whipped cream with some chocolate essence and garnished with crumbled cookie & mint, this dessert was lit. The creamy texture of the mousse felt like velvet and the presence of chocolate was like a cherry on the cake.
8. CRÈME BRÛLÉE : This exotic French dessert, also known as burnt cream or Trinity cream, is a dessert consisting of a rich custard base topped with a texturally contrasting layer of hardened caramelized sugar. The top layer was properly flambeed, rendering a nice warm custard with a cold center. The dessert wasn't too sweet, neither bland and felt superb. I liked this one better and was the perfect way to finish a scrumptious meal.
BEVERAGES:
9. COLA BANA SHOLA: A quirky take on the regular Cola, this had a very intense taste with masala infused in the cola.
10. KIWI MOJITO: A kiwi version of the conventional mojito, this was a rejuvenating mocktail.
11. VIRGIN MOJITO: All time favorite, cool minty chiller to save the day.
12. 3Ls: My personal favorite here. A lovely concoction of lychee, with a dash of lime juice, served chilled. Very refreshing and great to wash down the food.
13. PINACOLADA: The all time favorite beverage made from cream of coconut, pineapple juice, blended together with ice, garnished with a pineapple wedge, this was a delight. I just felt the coconut flavor was dominating the taste and not balancing the pineapple flavor.
SERVICE (5/5): An excellent staff! Very courteous, attentive and warm. The service time should be improved though.
VALUE FOR MONEY (5/5): Great food, lovely decor and live screening of matches, it doesn't get better than this. The place justifies the price tag with the experience it provides, in quantity, quality and taste. With the zomato gold offer, you can save some extra bucks. Will be back here for more.
Until then keep following me on zomato and instagram (link in bio) to know my food journey.
