It is one of my favorite sea food counter,whenever I crave for sea food I visit this place specially surmai fry. Its just yummy. Service over here is also nice and at reasonable price fish is available.
This place is my go to place whenever I crave for seafood. It is a small family run joint and specialize in seafood. There is no option to dine in and you can go for a take out order. The Surmai (king fish) and Pomfret Tawa fry is simply amazing. The portion size is quite good compared to the price. On the weekends there may be some delay due to rush, however you can call them and order in advance and then go collect it.

My fav hidden gem of this city. Named after the young gun son , Hrishikesh seafoods is run by a maharashtrian family who are always kind enough to attend to my demands.
A small quaint take away paradise in erandwane. Been visiting them since the last 6 years now courtesy to one of my friends who introduced me to them. Addicted since then.
Surmai fry - off the chain. Absolutely brilliant. Make sure you take it with the fried oil and have it with chapattis. Value for money.
Pompfret fry - an entire one at a reasonable price which outside would set you back double the cost of what they charge.
Prawns biryani / Kolambi biryani - a taste unique to only to them and huge pieces of prawns served in this.
Prawns masala - 5/5
Bombil fry - 5/5
They use over 100 ingredients in the masala that which in itself is insane. You have to chat with Nitin and understand the details of their beginnings and the hard work they have put in. Wish they open in Kalyani nagar side someday. Would save me the travel.
His wife is busy with not one or two but 4 burners at any given time and sheβs fast and she knows how to fry the best fish ever. Would highly recommend this place for sea food lovers.
Will add in pics of the pompfret and biryani next time I visit them. Till then enjoy the surmai.
it's on of my fav to order seafood.. prawns masal is one of the best dish...Bhakari(type of roti)is as soft as cotton...yum yum... I love sea food and .. yes will always prefer Hrishikesh seafood for the same....

Best for the seafood lovers. The quality and the quantity of every seafood dish is worth satisfying and delicious.. Though it provides with a take away system, the prices are very reasonable.
Awesome seafood with authentic taste. This is just a take away junction. Don't go by appearance of the place. It's hard to find such a tasty seafood even at any upscale seafood restaurant. And that too at such a pocket friendly price. Absolute delight for fish lovers!

We all know that eating fish these days is very very costly affair..if you would like to grab extremely fresh, lip smacking , quality , pocket friendly variety of fish don't waste time in hunting other fish joints in the city... Hrishikesh sea foods is your destination....
Today I was having craving for Surmai fry so called Mr. Gavate and requested them to keep 2 big pieces of Surmai aside :-)
Generally he doesn't accept orders on phone but yes I am special and always get royal treatment :-)

This place has awesome sea food ... Their chicken dishes are good as well. The rates are very reasonable and there is no compromise on quality whatsoever , the sea food items are fresh.. I have tried their Surmai fry, pomfret fry, prawns masala, prawns curry, chicken curry, prawns biryani and all these items are delicious... The place is very hygienic and they use good quality oil.. Highly recommended for your next sea food takeaway !!

Very good. I was in search of authentic / reasonable / homely food. And search ends here. They serve fresh fish/prawns. I tried fish and prawns and they were very good. This is take away joint. Must try!

One of the very few places to get good hygienic 'seafood' take away at reasonable prices.
Best part about this place is, I doubt if there is any other place giving a tasty seafood at unbelievable price. We ordered for 5 plates of chicken masala curry (chicken was cooked properly but curry was not exceptional), 7 plates of Surmai fry (2 medium sized Surmai slices in each plate, excellent taste, a must try) 3 plates chicken sukka (very unique taste, nice blend of typical malvani spices) and the bill was just around 2.5k. In any good restaurants this could have been more than 4k. Around 35% reasonable than any other good restaurants.
I heard that they are good at all fried dishes but can improve on their curries. I will definitely rate this 4 only if they improve their packaging. It was difficult to carry fried fish in foil paper containers, better if they provide us plastic containers for all items.
If you have a good place to eat delicious food with little bit of wine or for that matter any good drinkπ then this place is a must try for all non vegetarian foodies.
Whenever we pass the signal of mhatre bridge, the smell of fried fish, which resist to stop and order fish.Though the place is cosy and congested even there is no place for parking they have awesome taste for any dish you have order. Must try Bombil fry, its nice and crispy,tasty.In such small price will get good quantity and quality.
Hrishikesh Seafoods- This is a small takeaway joint near Mhatre Bridge, Karve Road.At first sight, you will be little dubious about going there. But you halt there for a while and you be pulled there by mesmerizing aroma of spices. I got Bangada fry and Surmai Curry for today's lunch. Bangada fry was to die for.Fresh and crispy very well prepared, was a bit spicy but awesome in taste. Surmai curry was equally good. It had 3 pieces, gravy could have been little thicker.You could feel fresh spices and overall preparation was rocking. The place was clean and all item are prepared in front of you. There was little delay in serving the order, is acceptable as you can see only three people struggling to complete these orders. Cost for 2 Banagda Fry and 1 Surmai was Rs.320/- only
We visited the joint at 1330 hours sunday afternoon. Fortunately the holy month Shravan had started so we experienced low crowd.
We ordered the following:
1. One Pompret fry, which was good.
2. One Surmai fry, which was very good.
3. One Chicken biryani, which was good.
They have different sizes of fish servings which are priced accordingly. They even showed us the serving size before taking the order.
The takeaway food was piping hot even after 45 minutes of packing when we finally served.
I can say that Hrishikesh must be one of the best fish joints in Pune.
A small sea food joint that is easy to miss if one doesn't really look for it. There is no place to sit and eat, so take the food home. I am a fan of sea food, and have tried many places in Pune. This place is inarguably the best sea food joint in Pune. The quality of the raw fish could have been better, but it is still the best and the cheapest in Pune if u want to eat fish to your heart's content

It's a small joint near Mhatre bridge .. Was little skeptical whether to go for it but smelling the aroma of fresh spices decided to order .. We ordered for surmai fry and malwani gravy .. The lady gave us extra masala ( spice used for fish fry ) to try it out with rice ..
To my delight the fish was extremely nice in taste and well cooked . Typical superb home cooked food ..
I will surely recommend it for fish lovers .

It has a special Malvani taste. All fish varieties are asum. They serve prawns curry with every plate, I did not like with chicken plate. I think there should be chicken curry with the chicken plate.
We just happened to find this place on Google. We drove from quite far to try it but It was absolutely worth it. The food was absolutely great. It's a small family owned place. They prepare the fish right there in open kitchen view. The surmai fish thali was simply brilliant!! U must go try the food here.

Ordered on the phone and it was ready in 15 min as promised. I ordered pomphret (fry) and prawn curry. Heavenly. Well priced and conveniently located, I will be a regular here.
Fish fry (Surmai -Indo-Pacific king mackerel) is excellent. Rate is also quite reasonable.
