This restaurant serves delicious food. I have been staying in Pune enough to identify restaurants serving generic tasting food just by looking at the menu. This one however, stands out. Should definitely try their thalis.

1st impression was not good...its next to busy road ... food and drinks rates are not exorbitant ... me and my friend ordered kala masala chicken handi (half), 4 roties and half jeera rice ... kala masala chicken handi was excellent. service could be slow on weekends. can be awkward for family even when separate section is available. 5 star are for kala masala chicken handi.
Nice food quality and good for bachelors family might feel bit weird there..

We have been here since two years now. It has been a regular joint for all folks. Amazing owner, explicit service, all in all the best place to visit for a team party and friends party. Good lawn, good service, good food and descent price

I must have passed by this restaurant atleast 100 times but never thought of going there. It seemed a low cost bar and hence I assumed that food would not be good enough. Few days back I was informed about chicken kala rassa by Shaunak Shirgaonkar and he even reminded again. So I thought lets give it try.
There is a seating area in open with grass lawn on one side. That area is for drinks & food. The main hall has AC which is for family as they said and dont serve alcohol in that. The person at cash counter looked at me and my friend and thought that these guys are here for booze. So he told us to seat outside :) . This was expected.
We did not get menu and the RM(he looked a teenage boy) directly asked us what we want to order. Anyway we were sure on what to order so I did not ask for menu. He asked if we want it spicy or medium-spicy and we said spicy. Then he said - " Sir.. aap nahi kha paoge. medium bhi bahut spicy hota hain". We took his words and decided for medium-spicy. He asked if we want boiler or gavran chicken. Obviously we went for gavran coz its not found always.
The gravy was great and spicy as promised with lot of pepper in it. The chicken was good too. We ordered half handi which was more than enough for both us. Again this was suggested by RM. He checked periodically on how is the taste and if we need something more.
Being in the bar area, it was too dark. I dont think they even thought about "ambiance" but it was good enough and I will not complain due to the great taste of food. The 230/- for half handi is slightly high considering overall setting.
Taste is good, Tried Veg & Non-Veg both. Big size is good for a group of 4-5 people. I really liked their Kala Rassa, they offer unlimited rassa wati with big thali. Slight slow in service. A/C room, but infrastructural & seating can be improved.
This is always a Go-to place if you wanna have tasty chicken, gavran chicken.... liquor is also available at cheap rates.
Cons:
Too many mosquitoes.... could be ignored considering the tasty food which is served.

Good food, kaala rassa available. Roti, bakri and chapati was steaming hot. It's a Bar cum restro but family room available. Good staff.
Nice place to have Saoji dishes on the name of kaala rassa. If you are from Nagpur then you will like the taste.
Ambiance was quite Good. Nice lawn with soft music was the + Points. food was OK OK kind of. My Stars are only for the location and lawn!

This is a very humble place and serves awesome black curry speciality of the Marathwada region in veg and non veg.
