Pune railway stations 6 platforms, has disabled friendly access and when the new metro start it will have a inter connectivity to change . The station is slowly improving on cleanliness and is far better then before. There are several connecting trains to Mumbai, Solapur , Baramati and local trains run upto lonavala. Ample space for paid parking , toilets are so so in cleanliness . some Food options towards Platform no 1. Cloak room available, elevators available to reach platforms. It’s a buzy station overall.

One of the busiest railway station. Big parking space and separate space for bus stand, pick up cabs. Waiting hall, Cloak room and charging points at required places are there.

To much of road digging activities going on for too long a period. It's truly hectic and dangerous to move along the city and suburbs due to rubbles and trenches everywhere.

Pune Junction railway station (station code: PUNE) is the main railway junction of the city of Pune, India. It is one of the major railway junctions in Maharashtra. Pune Junction consists of 6 Platforms. It also has a Suburban Train Network. This station has three footbridges with a skywalk. Elevator service is available on the footbridge. Plans are being made to upgrade the station to greater standards. The station is powered by a solar power plant and emergency diesel generators. The 160 kWp solar power plant generates around 2.4 lakh units (kWh) annually. Funded by Persistent CSR, Sunshot built the plant in June 2016. This project was replicated for the Hyderabad Deccan railway station.

Pune is the second-largest city in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai, and is an important city in terms of its economic and industrial growth. Once the hometown of Marathas and a centre of power for the Maratha Empire, Pune’s rich and glorious past has made it the cultural capital of Maharashtra. Home to many colleges and universities, Pune has made its mark as an education epicenter, winning itself the title of “The Oxford of the East”. Pune has emerged as a new start-up hub in recent years with information technology (IT), engineering and automotive companies sprouting. The city is also known for cultural activities such as classical music, spirituality, theatre, sports and literature. In 2018, the Ease of Living Index by the Indian Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry ranked Pune as the most liveable city in India
