Visited this place for many times. A good place near katraj bypass highway at Vadgaon bridge. Offers good drinks and cocktails with variety of quick bytes and rice and noodles type dinner dishes also. We have tried most of their cocktails and chicken starters. Go for it. And it's pocket friendly as well.
This place is good and serves a great fun ful environment to the customer. The food taste good and the service is also quite good. The service provided by this restro is good and it serves the best it could. So must visit place.
A fairly decent restaurant on the outskirts of Pune in narhe area. They have good ambience and quiet atmosphere very contrary to the area it is in. Good to enjoy drinks with your gang. The waiters are friendly.
Menu options better than other restaurants
The taste is genuine too . We tried some Punjabi food.Good quality and good
quantity ,visit again soon.
Visited last Saturday with my team while returning back from a road trip.
Pros:
- Good food, all items were properly garnished (Veg non veg all good), authentic taste and quality
- Humble and upfront waiters
- In budget
- Though bar is there you can visit with family, good ambience
- Clean washrooms
Cons:
- I don't know why they were serving food which is not hot enough (might be rainy weather because we were sitting outside under the roof but the water in the finger bowl was also not enough hot that's why I am mentioning this)
- For all things we have to ask like Salt-pepper, lemons, proper spoons for different cuisines
- Chairs were bit high end which looks good but while eating it's bit uncomfertable
Overall a nice experience as they have managed us with good heart.
Must try - Caramel custard
A good place on a easy to reach location. The food quality is very good with a very nice staff. North Indian dishes especially paneer's are good treat. They organize biryani festivals and awadhi Biryani is awesome....being a vegetarian I can only say about aroma and flavours I got in veg Biryaneeezzz....:D
chaavni has hosted many of our office parties..the ambience is great vit outdoor seating..it is definitely on costlier side..the food though is good.. service is nice..andhra chicken fry, hot wings, lemon chicken are great starters.. chicken chettinad and murgh musaallam are good main course dishes.keep it up guys
The food is really good.
It was much better than I expected it to be.
They have a lot of good options.
Nice ambience.
The service is quick.
A good place to have a peaceful dinner with your family and friends.
Perfect ambience for a date.. one of the best restaurant in narhe-ambegaon area for non veg food.. veg food is pretty average though.. staff is very courteous and quick.. bit costly
Chhavni, nestled on the convenient bangalore mumbai bypass near Wadgaon budruk is the only A grade restaurant in the vicinity.
They serve Indian, Chinese and Continental
We order for Chinese comprising Veg Manachow soup, Paneer chilly, Fried rice and Hakka noodles. The person taking the order was not suggestive though but very polite.
Rating
Food -3/5
Service- 4/5 for the waiter serving helped my kids sit on the sunken sofa seating
Ambience- 3. 5/5
Location- 5/5
Atleast for me.
All in all an evening well spent.
One of the best place near katraj. Serves you the best quality. Reasonable rates. Loved their food. Quite good place. Service is good. Staff is police.
One of the best place near katraj must have try . Great ambience and great food too 😊 in rainy season great ambience. . Family and friends for both great place
Finally a good place of Sinhagad Road. We had been here for enquiring for the banquet. The food is good. Really tasty. Cannot point at a specify dish as the overall menu is good. Service is a bit slow but worth the wait. Parking is available.
I went in there for good food and ambience! And I was content with both of it. Been there for a couple of times. Bar service is good but it's not the same with food. Horrendous food service. Had to wait 30 35 minutes. But still ends up as my favorite restaurant on sinhagad road and also my dad's!
Recently attended a birthday party at Hotel Deccan Pavilion...... Tried paneer masala and veg tawa, I loved veg tawa, it was really great....
Fantastic experience to word it!
We had heard lot many praises about this restaurant but we have to experience it to realize it. Real quality food, superb ambience and what hospitality! The staff was polite and courteous and the service prompt. One of the best chicken biryani for some time. The starters too were really good. Keep it up Chef Ajeet and Chef Victor!
I would definitely recommend you to my friends and colleagues.
Very Good Taste. We tried veg dishes and all of them awesome n yummy 😋. A must go place in Sinhagad road area. Ambience was also very nice.. Service was quick and satisfactory. Courteous staff and good food can make your evening wonderful
We celebrated my wife's birthday at Chhavani. The hotel wasn't our primary choice. Untimely October rains forced us to choose this local destination over original hotel of choice which was in Viman nagar. The experience however was no less delightful.
The ambience is too quite and laid back for young couples but for a fine dine family restaurant it is perfect. The food was amazing and the staff was well trained. We tried the chicken Afghani kebab on the managers behest. The Kebab was simply amazing. I suggest anyone who visit this place to try it out. The only sad thing about the place was the lack of good wines. They have just one type of red and white wine and that's it.
Specials: Chicken Afghani Kebab
Chavni in Hotel Deccan Pavilion was a wonderful surprise. We were not hoping for such a good place in an area like Narhe, but needed a quick fine dine restaurant.
This one was a pleasant finding. Very attentive and generous service, mild soothing music. We had pure veg and all the veg items were really good. The star of our evening was the melon mocktail , amazing blend of watermelon lime and mint. I loved it !!
Will definitely visit again and beige on some non veg dishes next time.
Overall very nice place for some relaxed fine dining.
'Unexpected'
It's one of the good restaurants in this area. Been here a numerous times for work meetings.
Good indian food although oriental lacks authenticity.
I Recommend - prawn thai curry and rice . Tandoori on most days is well marinated but sort of dry.
Food- 3.5/5
Service-3.5/5
Ambience-3.5/5
Absolutely stunning ambience.. Reasonable alcohol rates and an exotic variety of delicacies..
Must try the cajun paneer, chowmein and kung pao mushrooms!
Very good ambience, spacious seating arrangement. Prompt staff and the very decent food..
Much more than expectation.. Probably best in the area.. Little expensive, but worth every single penny.
Very loud music which was only unpleasant part of visit.
Awesome ambience.. Great Food n Variety.
Unique dishes.. Great place to hangout with friends.. Away from the city.. Nice place to spend time with family.
Must visit.
You really don't need travel far for a nice Dining experience in Ambegaon/Sinhagad Road area.
Had been to Chhavni twice so far..
Service has improved and is even better now.
Food is 10/10. You wont get most of the recipes outside.
Ambiance is quite good especially the bar section.Nice place to visit with family as well as friends
Ambiance n taste both r really good, need to work on service though, paneer pasanda n fried rice were really yummy.
Ambiance - 4*
Food - 3.5*
Service - 3*
VFM - 3*
My first visit was just when it was inaugurated..... At that time the food was ok types... But recently the restaurant management has been changed....
My second visit was on last weekend. (02 Nov 14).
We were in a group of 15..... We reserved the table in outside section just next to the bar counter.
Being on the busy Highway you can feel the noisy surroundings including the loud music playing on the bar counter.
We ordered.... Soups- Sweet corn veg , sweet corn chicken, spring onion cream.
Starters-veg panner rechad(Goan style), veg dim sums, veg dry manchurian, Kerala pepper chicken, Pasta.
Mocktails- Straberry Passion, lime lemonade,
Main course- Veg Sabji Meljhol, Mutton Roganjosh, Rotis and Naans
Rice- Dal Khichadi, chicken Fried rice.
Desserts- Gulab Jamun.
After the change in the management the food quality has improved a lot including the quantity.
The food was served hot and quick.
Overall....
Food: It was really nice with sufficient quantity for the 2 to 3 people. Quality and the taste has improved a lot.
Staff: Clean and nice.
Service: It was quick and served hot.
Ambience: It has two dining section. AC section and outside sitting area.
Value for money: worth spending. Being a only hotel in this vicinity of this kind of quality and ambience.
The ambience and the food quality served here is superb. The order is being served on time. There is a range of food options both veg and non veg to choose from.
Although the food is superb, the quantity served is very less... Only two people can have from the single dish ordered.
Good place for dinner in the vicinity of sinhgad road with varied options on menu...Loved the food and ambience....Even the service was OK..
Considering the dearth of good hotels in this area, Chhavani is a very good place. Outside seating is nice but the tables are a bit small.
The food is really good. Had read the reviews about slow service so ordered starters and main course together.
Overall I would recommend it.
As delightful as an oasis in a desert, is Deccan Pavilion on Mumbai-Bangalore by pass.
We have visited it 4-5 times now. The food is tasty and menu quite elaborate. The outside seating can be painful, for nothing else but the mosquitoes (especially if you have a small child with you) and the sound of heavy traffic outside.
The servers are slow and the wait for your order to be served cannot be unbearable. The plethora of the dishes on the menu is bound to satisfy your craving for variety. The sofa sitting inside is uncomfortable and somehow adds to the ruining of the entire experience.
The attitude of servers is also something that needs to be checked, as there seems to be no manager around, you can hear a lot of "loose" talk from the servers. Some even go out of their way to annoy you by informing you that "Poh Pia" means "spring rolls", I agree to the fact that they need to inform their customers, but they can always do so in a more polite manner. I had to tell off someone for being rude.
I visited them 4-5 times purely because of the food. . .great taste and love the way they present their food especially the poh pias with rice noodles. Overall a good place to visit, if you can put up with below average servers for the tasty food.
Completely agree with Sudip and Nikhil. It takes ages before order is served. I had been to Chhavni recently with my wife and had read the reviews on Zomato. So we ordered starters + main course at the same time. But it doesnt matter.
Food is excellent but veg starters are very less in quantity. For those who want to taste chicken in completely different style, Chicken Kabulse is the dish for you...
I am giving 2.5 Stars for the Chef....... And 0 for the Managment.....I agree with Nikhil and I have same experience.....The waiters keep you waiting while you are prompting for you next order like roti or any starter... They are not staying close to the concern table....I was there on 17th Feb 2013 at around 9.00 PM.......Thanks in Advance and hope I will get a wonderful service and you will give me a chance to increase my rating ;)
Surprise package on Sinhagad road. Good menu n platters are awesom..prefer AC seating..
Loved the food, forgave the service.
Go for the Hunan styled Wok tossed Squid.
