The nice cozy place nestled in Shivtirth Nagar , Kothrud . This place has a nice ambience with good music in the background . The food is worth giving a shot . I would recommend Manglorean Chicken roast to start with . Nicely marinated chicken with burst of flavours . Chicken Dhaba style is not be missed ..you should enjoy it with Butter roti or Naan . It has nice and tender chicken in a medium spicy handi like gravy .
The staff is polite and friendly ...and can help you in customisations etc . Overall a great experience

सोbar was on my visit list since they had opened. But being very close to my house the visit never happened until today.
Visited today with family for lunch.
Ambience: A modern ambience makes you relaxed completely.
Food: They have menu from all around the world.
We opted for Joozeh Kababs for Starter along with Paneer Hyderabadi & Chicken Rara as main course served witj Naan and roti.
The quality as well as quantity of food served was excellent.
Will be definitely visiting this restaurant again.
Service: I would like to specially mention that the service provided to us by Gajanan our server was excellent. He is a over charged , friendly server. Always focussed with eyes on all table he is serving and inquiring about requirement by his own before being called..

This place has a covered outdoor seating and a decent ambience. Also I liked the concept of their bar where you can sit on the swings while you gulp down your drinks and also order some get - along starters. The menu is pretty vast offering a lot of food and drinks options. I really loved the taste of all the dishes.
Blackcurrent Mocktail - This one was as usual tasting great with the perfect amount of sweetness. It compliments well if you order dishes which are slightly to the spicier side. Mocktail lovers should definitely try this.
Starters :
1) Thai Finger Rolls - This was similar to spring roll but the filling inside was a bit different. The filling consisted of Cabbage, broccoli, carrot which were wrapped and deep fried. It was served along with she wan chutney which completed the dish. They were topped with kurdai which had become bit soft maybe due to the moist weather.
2) Green Garlic Veg - I really loved this starter alot and would highly recommend it to vegetarians. The veggies were very crispy and the green sauce also had the right amount of garlic. Too delicious to be true❤️ Amount was also satisfactory.
3) Thecha Naan - This was really spicy and literally your lips burn after eating even one piece. It is actually meant for the real hot and spice lovers. Others shouldn't try 😛
Main Course :
1) Paneer Tikka Sizzler - This dish really was perfect for a filling meal for 2 people. Keeping it pretty simple, they just served rice with marinated Paneer pieces and a small cup of gravy and fried papad alongside. I really liked the idea of gravy because generally we do require more of gravy. The Paneer chunks were soft and also the masala was really delicous!
2) Burmese Khowsuey - One of my favourite dishes, I expected bit more from this. It was just above average. Also the most essential topping - peanuts were missing but they served fried noodles instead so it was okay.
3) Punjabi Paneer Chop Masala - The gravy was very similar to the Paneer Tikka Masala from the sizzler. The taste was really amazing as I already mentioned. Normally the appetizers are supposed to be the best in bars but I found the main course here equally scrumptious.
Desserts :
We tried the fried Icecream for the first time. This concept was really new and it made me curious to know the process. So the basic idea is to store the icecream much below the temperature at which other icecream are stored. Then they are coated with a layer of cornflakes or something similar and then deep fried for a blink of an eye. The taste is really good. We also tried the coconut roll. It was really bland and tasted like coconut barfi which was not even sweet.

1. Ambiance: Spacious ambiance with comfortable seating arrangament. Fresh light comes very well inside the resto, makes it feel very fresh.
2. Service: Very well maitained staff makes it very easy for customers to order the food and have it well in time.
3. Cleanliness: Entire ambiance was clean and neat even it was raining heavily.
4. Food: From veg to non veg and Mocktails to Cocktails, you ask and they serve you.
We got to taste following food items.
1. Tabei Kebab: Chicken kebab cooked to perfection was medium spicy in taste
2. Golden Fried Prawns: this is the best side dish one can have with the drinks. Spicy prawns fried and serve hot.
3. Green Garlic Veg: This is the best option for veg foodie.
4. Tech Naan: Spicy lovers this is for you. Green chilli paste placed on Hot naan.
5. Mutton Toganjosh: Authentic Roganjosh was served. Medium spicy with dark brown gravy.
6. Murg Musallam: This was the king of all dishes. Full murg musallam can easily serve 4-5 people.
Even their drinks were amazing and can refresh you immedietly.
So next time you are in Kothrud and want to have good food and drinks must visit this place.
I always prefer to visit this place with frenz because only reason is that ...it offer reasonable price ...good service and good food quality.The staffs were way more friendly and dedicated to the customer.,........................................................................

सोbar is a place you can go to just to chill with your friends over drinks and food. They have a nice outdoor seating area with a bar as well.
Some new additions are going to made to the menu which I tasted the other day.
In the cocktails, I tried the Kiwitini which was a super icy, kiwi flavoured vodka cocktail. This could be given an extra something with a garnish but it tasted nice.
I had the Golden Fried Prawns which were goold old plain and simple prawns fried in batter along with schezwan chutney. They would go great with your beer. In the vegetarian appetizers I tasted the Green Garlic Veg and Thai Finger Rolls which were pretty good and the Thecha Naan which was super spicy with lots of green chilli thecha. In the kebabs, we had the tabei kebab and murgh rozali kebab. The Murg Rozali Kebab was creamy and very tasty with a medium spicy marination.
Their new sizzlers are quite decent - we had the Chicken Shaslik and Paneer Tikka sizzlers. Both tasty and well prepared. We also had butter naans along with Mutton Rogan Josh, Punjabi Paneer Chop Masala and the Murgh Musallam. The first two curries were the standard stuff but the murgh musallam was just huge and crazy good. It would take at least 3 to 4 people to polish it off.
The Burmese Khao Suey was surprisingly quite nice although they are specialising in Indian dishes. Even the red thai curry looked great although I couldn't taste it since I was stuffed to the brim.
In the end, we tried their new desserts - Honey Glazed Coconut Rolls and Fried Icecream. The rolls unfortunately were a miss. The fried icecream was pretty much brilliant. Two scoops of vanilla icecream literally fried in dough and drenched in good old chocolate syrup.
All in all a nice pub in Kothrud with quite a versatile new menu. I hope to visit again.

I visited Sobar for lunch on a Saturday. The rains made the ambience even more enjoyable! They have a really pretty decor, especially the swings at the bar. Here are some of the dishes I tried:
1. Cocktails - I loved the watermelon red wine sangria! The watermelon is a good addition to it, and goes well with red wine.
2. Appetizers - The chicken tabei kabab was a flattened kabab. The flavours were good, but I felt it was a little bit dry. The green chutney served with it fixed this problem and the combination was great. The golden fried prawns were the best munching snack I didn't know I needed! Perfectly crispy and yet not too oily, these are great to eat on the side with some drinks. The murg rojali kabab is a rolled Kabab with stuffing and is really soft, rich and a bit creamy (I recommend this)! Thai Finger Rolls (vegetarian) were basically like spring rolls, but the stuffing had Thai flavours to it. I felt this was a little too salty for my palate, but the spicy dip balanced it out. The thecha naan is a must try if you love spicy starters (it is quite spicy, and the spice tends to linger on after you finish eating too). The green garlic veg was basically crispy fried vegetables in a green sauce (loved the garlic flavour).
3. Mains - the chicken shashlik sizzler was really good, the chicken was really well cooked and the sizzler char was a good flavour addition. The Murgh Mussallam is every non veg lovers dream (the gravy and the marination are spot on in terms of spices and flavour). The know suey was also good, though it could improve on the curry.
4. Desserts - honey glazed coconut rolls were fried rolls stuffed with a coconut filling - the honey and coconut combination was too sweet for my palate and I couldn't eat more than one roll. The fried ice cream was good, but average.
Overall i think Sobar is a great place to hang out with friends over a few drinks and some good Indian cuisine!

Recently ordered their Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani.. must say .. never had such one before. It was very good.. right spice.. good pieces.. and green gravy. I definitely recommend this joint to my friends !!.

Have been to this place many times. Its an amazing place in Kothrud with nice decor. The bar counter is the best with swings. The food and service here have never disappointed me. They have a good cocktail menu and trust me the cocktails are really good. In food Dum Matka Kabab, Mangalorian roast chicken, pastas, burgers are really worth giving a shot. They have good offers throughout the week.
I was on a business trip to pune and I was staying in the same area. On the night I arrived o had quick dinner here. I decided not to experiment and order basic butter chicken and garlic naan and it was delicious. I received fantastic service even when it was 11.45 and they were almost closing for the day on another couple of evenings during my stay I sat at the bar and enjoyed some amazing cocktails and masala peanuts. Absolutely loved it here and I couldn't have been made more welcome or comfortable. Staff was really friendly. 10/10 thank you so so much. We'll be back soon highly recommend
On my last evening in pune it was a Saturday they had lovely band performing Bollywood songs. It was like perfect end my trip.

Ambiance is verry different and nice . Loved the bar which had swings instead of regular boring high chairs.
Bar Manu is pocket friendly. They have happy hours Monday to Friday all day long.
