More than 100 years old restaurant in Pune is famous for its Misale Pav. I really enjoyed it. The ambience is very old but Misal Pav is tasty 😋. One should visit at least once. Also try "kharvas" first milk of cow after giving birth to calves.

Vaidya Upahar Gruha is a heritage pune institution. Established 114 years back in the 1910. They serve mainly puneri misal and few other beverages and snacks. The misal is not spicy and not for the ones who are looking for chili water in the name of misal. Their misal gravy is of green color and different than other places. They also serve deserts like kharwas sheera. Misal is served with bread slice and not paav. The prices are comaprable. The ambience is old and there can be lot of waiting due to rush. It can be visited if you are in the area for the taste of the misal. Ambience 3/5 Food 4/5 Service 3/5 VFM 3/5 Overall 4/5

It is a 110 year old place serving one of the tastiest misal I have ever tasted in Pune. Don't expect the burst of spices in your mouth when you take the first bite of misal.

You can experience their rustic setting, admire the architecture and relish their delicious misal pav and poha. An important restaurant in Maharashtra which truly deserves a heritage status.

This is one of the oldest missal house in pune city, one must Genuinely try it. The location has its own speciality and considering cost factor it is not that costly and spiciness is zero compared to other missal and main USP is its taste and location and Good Quality of food . Its closed on Saturday but open of sunday but it's better you visit on weekdays

Entering this place was like going back in time. Had misal bread slice and it was good. However, unexpectedly it was a bit sweet, and I am used to spicy ones. Taste was balanced though. Place was clean, and service was quick. Would recommend for mild / delicate taste lovers. People with spicy tastebuds can give it a miss, but still worth trying once.

This is a unique place with unique food and interior. It's simple food and simple people all the way through. They serve traditional items like misal, matar usal, chivda, kharvas, etc. The chairs, tables, walls all have a story. This is a restaurant straight out of a different era and the staff is quick in their service and witty. The misal is different as in it's not the usal red misal but made with green chilli paste which is flavourful and doesn't give you a heartburn for some reason. Also try their kharvas and taak.

Its a walk in to an early 1900s place... Established in 1961 it's traditional small eatery that serves very good misal.. Not the spicy red tari wali, but one that uses green chillies and coconut in the tari and served with bread slice and not pav. Good for an early Sunday breakfast..

Typical old fashioned MISAL JOINT. Just loved the kind of traditional look and feel of the place unique and authentic taste of the misal here. Don’t go here if your are in a hurry. This is an experience to observe, enjoy, relish. I didn’t find them slow. I find them nicely relaxed, comfortable in their own work, doing a good job consistently and knowing it. Nice to find such a place where almost all misal joints are getting modern, sophisticated, swift, automated, stylish etc etc. Do visit if you are foodie. You can’t miss this “experience” Tried misal Batata bhaji (pakoda) Solkadhi Everything 5/5 Ambience and experience 6/5

This place celebrated 100th year in 2021. So congratulations to them. Timings -7am-11am/3pm-7pm Ambience - Beautiful if you like the old style food houses with huge wooden log ceilings. White marble table (some now replaced with black granite) n simple wooden chairs. You will find a couple of grandpa's walking in happily with their friends. Personally I feel it adds to the vibe of this place. The owner that the counter had this amazing calm and expression of contentment on this face. Food - Misal, Patal Bhaji, Batata Bhajji, Kharwas, Taak. Surprisingly they don't serve tea being in Pune. We ordered for Misal served with 2 bread slices. Misal is batata bhaji topped with sev and usal. Now, somethings about the rassa. It's made in green masala, a bit sweet, garnished with fresh coriander a little grated coconut. The usal is like a broth very soupy and watery. Unlike the laal bhadak and tikhat one may be used to. This one is the Brahman style cooking. The batata bhajji is a hit. Hot crispy and delicious for a winter morning in Pune. All said I would prefer the regular Laal Bhapka Tikhat Misal to this one. . Pricing - 40-80 range. We paid Rs.220 for 2 Misal and 1 Batata Bhajji. They accept Gpay/Paytm . Seating & Hygiene - Seating area looked decent and clean. About 20 people could easily fit it. Parking is just around on the road as most of the pune lanes. It's not wheelchair friendly it has about 6-7 steps to get in Do visit this place just to experience this century old place even if u love spicy food like me ; once a while it's fine to taste a different kind of Misal

Got to know about this from Indian express article. This place gives feeling of old pune. Seems popular around but difficult to notice. Had a misal, bhaji and kharvas on sunday morning. Misal is very different from regular misal spots. Very economical.
