Visited this place for a lunch and was amazed with the variety they offer. Being a veg place I thought it wouldn't amaze a non vegetarian like me but I totally loved it and would recommend it to everyone.
Food was a delicious. Courteous staff. Live Music, flutist. Really enjoyed food taste and music. Ambience is also good.

If you want a restaurant that has more than just paneer-mushroom starters or your typical run-of-the-mill dal makhani then look out for Sawai Veg. Located on Sinhgad road, this vegetarian restaurant has enough good food to satisfy someone who longs for great non-meat food the way Christian Bale longs for Santa Fe in Newsies.

Sawai is pure veg indian restaurant located in sinhgad road the place has beautiful ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating, the place has a large menu card which offers varieties of dishes in veg food and will suprise you that how a veg dish can upto this amazing level.
Coming on to the food which i tried here:
1)CHEESE SONERI KEBAB:This was kebab coated with bhujiya sev and stuffed with cheese, the kebab had a mild flavour with spicy bhujiya shev, this was really good for cheese lovers and vegeterians.
2)PANEER ROJALI KEBAB:This was paneer marinated in creamy and tangy masala and was stuffed with minced paneer, the paneer was soft and juicy and literally melt in mouth, a must have dish for everyone.
3)KASTURI MOTI MASALA:This was onion based gravy mixed with crispy fried koftas and had a tangy taste like pickle, the gravy was flavourful and really well prepared.
4)LAJJATDAR TIKKI MASALA:This was gram flour based tikki mixed in a creamy thick coconut based gravy, the tikki was slight dry but the gravy was really superb.
5)VEG MARATHA:This was spicy thick tomato based gravy with flavour of coconut and vegetable kofta in it, the dish was balanced with spices and coconut a must try here for spicy food lovers.
6)TRIPLE SUNDAE:This was a combination of different ice-cream and well sweetness a must have.
If you thought there are less Indian food options for vegetarian people then visit Sawai Veg in Sinhagad road. You will be amazed at the variety and taste of these lip smacking Innovative vegetarian dishes.

Without a doubt this is my favourite veg restaurant in Pune. They have a huge variety of menu to select from and different dishes to taste as well. Each dish will be better than the previous that's for sure. I love their pepper garlic soup and i recommend that u should try this. This soup is an excellent example of how skilled the chefs are because pepper and garlic both are very difficult ingredients to work with. Too little won't give u a taste and too much will over power everything. But they have managed to get that balance perfectly. I even enjoyed their Chinese as well as their Punjabi dishes. They have a variety of naans, rotis and kulchas. Their ambience is also very cosy and the staff is very friendly. They will recommend u dishes if u r confused and will ensure that u are having a good time. They always have a live flute player which adds to Ur mood. It's soothing environment makes it perfect for a family dinner. If u happen to go there on special occasions like diwali or Ganpati they will surprise u with complementary sweets like shevai kheer or a delicious plate of jilebi. In short Sawai is a must go restaurant!
Well, we happened to gatecrash Sawai Veg with around 20 heads (on a Saturday night without having a pre-booking).. The staff was courteous enough to not only accomodate us, but also serve a wonderful "dining experience".
The soups are well diverse in taste.
The Sawai Special starters were absolutely delicious and indeed are worth trying, infact you can just enjoy the starters.
Even after having a belly full of starters, the main course was good enough to keep our mouths working.
5 on 5 for the food
4 on 5 for ambience
5 on 5 for the staff

Planning a family dinner? Sawai veg is one of the best option.
Started with makai tikki, uniformly fried and served with schezwan chutni, moved on to kati kebab which were chapati rolls with mix veg stuffing. When it comes to main course, Veg Akbari was a bit sweet but delicious. Veg Barbeque was a nice combination of crispy veggies with gravy. Ultimately we had triple sundae which will take you back in time with three favourite flavours chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Topped with waffers and jelly, it was like a sweet ending to our evening.
Service and presentation is very nice 👌

LUNG FUNG SOUP:
A thick and clear sou with all the Chinese vegetables. Seasoned well with pepper,garlic,salt,soy sauce. The strong dominant flavour of garlic is on point.
SUNDARI and PANEER BANJARA KEBAB:
Sundari kebab means mushrooms nicely marinated and coated. And also stuffed with finely chopped veggies. Mushroom lovers are going to love this.
Paneer banjara kebab is one of the authentic dish cause the Indian spices used are in proportion not excessive amount of spices. Nicely grilled and marinated also the paneer was fresh. Medium spicy.
VEG OREO:
Also it can be said veg oreo sizzler as its served in the sizzler style. Now you must be thinking Oreo is sweet so yes i had the same doubt but only the outer part the texture is similar to the oreo biscuits but stuffed with veggies similar to kebab. The stuffing inside is moist and a bit sweet and spicy.
VEG NURANI:
The name itself justifies that must me something rich in flavours. VEG NURANI is yellow paneer gravy with rich flavours and cheese grated on top.
And again Paneer was soft and the texture of gravy was bery thick and consistent.
CHAMAN CHAKORI PANEER MUSHROOM:
This was the show stealer unique and different.
Red medium spicy gravy combination of paneer and mushroom. The best thing of this dish is they haven't played with the actual/base taste of both paneer and mushroom.
FRUIT PUNCH:
Fruit punch is my favourite drink from this place.
Super sweet, super fruity. You actually get hint of taste of all the fruits. Thick in texture.
Also had their dessert known as Raja Rani.
A combination of every sweet item an Indian can opt for like kulfi,berries, cherries,dryfruits and in-house Icecreams.
The staff is very polite and also their service is quick.
Also the pricing are descent. The quantity and quality is totally value for money.

A perfect Veg restaurant that stands up for its versatility and amazing veg food. It is spread over quite big area, having multiple seatings. Highly recommending to families also has parking facilities.
Sawai has some really interesting veg gourmet food. When you are bored with your regular Butter Paneer Masala from other restaurants, Head on to Sawai veg for some really unique veg mains and starters.
Starting with food
▪Kung Pao Soup
This kinda looked like the veg clear soup.
The flavours were nice and the hot exotic flavour of garlic was on point. Definitely recommending to star over your meal with some hot soup. Not very heavy but light and satisfying for sure
▪SUNDARI KEBAB AND PANEER BANJARA KEBAB
Sundari Kebab included stuffed mushrooms nicely marinated and grilled. I'm personally not fond of mushrooms as such but the Sundari Mushrooms were lovely.
Paneer Banjara Kebab was marinated Paneer grilled with veggies and served hot. Lemme highlight this point *Paneer was super fresh and soft which made starter even more better. You could literally feel the freshness in the first bight
▪VEG OREO
Loved this one! The vegetable cutlets served on hot pan with steaming hot sauce and some freshly cut veggies.
It tasted somewhat like manchurian balls but definitely the sauce takes a level up of the taste
▪VEG NURANI
Richly scrumptious Paneer gravy with grated cheese goes perfect wuth your butter naan.
As i mentioned previously, the Paneer used was super soft as good paneer raises the bar of the dish.
They have many new variants in Indian gravies, do explore the menu.
▪CHAMAN CHAKORI PANEER MUSHROOM
The dish itself looked very interesting .
Deep fried small rounds of puris were placed on the bed of the lovely red gravy made using Paneers and Mushrooms. Flavours on point not at all bland.
Quantity is pretty good.
▪FRUIT PUNCH
Fruit punch was a mocktail made from fruits (obviously 😂) the name justifies to it because as you take a sip, it results in punch of sweet and tangy flavour.
Really impressed with the mocktail.
Would like to explore the mocktails more from here.
▪RAJA RANI Sundae
Combination of icecreams a d kulfi with cherries, dryfruits, jellies is just way to perfect and soul satisfying ti end your food. The presentation is done so well.
They have many options available in Sundae, do try one.

The place is huge with a beautiful sitting arrangement outside and inside.
The service is quick.
Kung Pao soup - The soup was thick. It has lot of veggies. It was cooked properly. In every single slurp the flavors were amazing.
Paneer Banjara kebab - The paneer was soft and fresh. It was perfectly marinated. It was spicy, tasty and delicious.
Veg oreo - They are cutlets more like Manchurian balls in taste. They were served in sizzling pan with soy sauce and tomato sauce in it. They were crunchy, yummy and outstanding.
Chaman Chakori Paneer Mushroom - The paneer was soft and fresh. Its semi solid sabji. It was spicy, little tangy and good.
Veg nurani - The sabji was topped with small Puris. It had a lot of veggies. It was medium spicy, tangy, luscious and awesome.
Raja Rani - The icecream had Malai kulfi on side, Butterscotch and Gulkand in between with lot of jellies and dry fruits. Everything together tasted Lovely.
Fruit punch - It was thick. Its made of different fruit layers. The taste was mind-blowing.

Most popular restaurant on sinhagad road and one of my family restaurant. before i talk on food and other things i want to mention "Sawai Veg is amazingly improved now". i used to go to this place since 4-5 years but now sawai veg better than before. Veg savio: A perfect Chinese veg starter, crispy fried noodles on top and some delicious crispy fried vegetables and mainly paneer if you are lucky enough to get it when you having good food with good family. dish name starts with "Veg" but it contains paneer too(Just an a answer to FAQ), MUST TRY!!
Lemon coriander soup: Flavor of lemon was so perfect but flavor of coriander was bit less. not my bowl of soup.
Veg Barbecue: fried crispy vegetables with a yummy sauce but sauce was not like barbecue sauce which really confused my head but trust me this dish is so so tasty, give it a try!
Kati Kebab(VEG): The most fancy dish on the table, garnishing of the dish was impressive. taste was pretty good.
Makai tikki: Accurately matched with taste i imagined in my head, perfectly fried tikkis with few whole corn and mashed boiled corn. just like my mom cooks for evening snacks, Recommended dish.
Paneer jungi(Special): official main course of my family dinner parcel orders. Sawai bit changed this dish, serving style and more impressive garnishing and improved taste. All just perfectly balanced when improving the dish.
Veg Akbari: As named, this is a mughlai style dish, mix vegetables cooked in rich and sweet sauce but must try dish! sweetness of this dish is so different. Must must try! for People who don't like spicy food and for people like me who just want to eat different types of food.
also had hydrabadi biryani which was pretty ok.
At last had a dessert "Triple sundae" typical three scoops of ice cream jelly and chocolate sauce, a good dessert to end the feast.

If you're looking for a nice family restaurant in the vicinity of Sinhgad road, Sawai Veg is a great choice.
I visited them for lunch and had a very good experience in terms of food, ambience and hospitality.
The place is very well maintained and has plenty of huge windows alongside tables that added so much charm to the whole experience.
The pricing is just right, neither cheap nor steep and totally fitting the experience.
If you visit them, here's what to try:
Pepper garlic soup (₹175) - With tons of garlic and just the right amount of pepper, I can't even begin to tell you how delicious this soup was. If you're a garlic fan (like me 🙌), you must order this.

Paneer Rojali Kebab - Huge stuffed paneer chunks are marinated in a spicy tikka masala. With the accompanying spiced onions, this makes for a robustly flavoured starter.

Aloo Nazakat Kebab - Your classic tandoori aloo halves are stuffed with a beautiful cottage cheese mix. This was absolutely brilliant in flavour, further enhanced by the accompanying chutney.

Cheese Soneri Kebab - These were deep fried cutlets stuffed with cheese and coated with plenty of shev. These kind of paled amongst the rest of the appetizers.

Spinach Malaysian - Crisp spinach kebabs were tossed with a sweetish sauce and a generous smattering of cashew nuts. Something different, worth a try.

Shanghai Paneer - Chunky Paneer cubes are tossed with bell peppers and onions with classic Chindian flavours. Good stuff.

Kasturi Moti Masala - If you're bored of the usual Indian curries, this is something different to try. Cheese stuffed crispy rolls are served within a brown gravy. Different and tasty.

Paneer Rashida Masala - Paneer chunks are coated with chickpea batter and deep fried; and later tossed in gravy. While I loved the gravy, I would have preferred the paneer without the batter.

Dal Tadka - This one rocked in terms of both presentation and taste.
Ambience is good. In starter we ordered Paneer Shanghai which was delicious and paneer was so soft enjoyed it. In main course we ordered lajjatdar tikki masala and lachha paratha. Both were extraordinary, especially gravy was very unique ,never had such taste. Enjoyed dinner at savai.

It was pretty long since I visited this place.. Sawai Veg is one of the good places on Sinhgad Road. I totally love their new ambience too, traditional and cosy. To match with the ambience they have a flute player playing live every evening. He was exceptionally good, that evening. This creates a soothing aura in the restaurant.
We started with some new starters and a soup, which have been added in their new special menu.
The #soup was sweet corn & coconut milk based. Cream of corn with a twist & all freshness of coconut. It was lightly spiced but with good sweet_ish flavour. Very refreshing to set your cold evenings well.
#Veggie Oreo tikki, was a continental tikki served with a spicy tangy sauce, with went well with the tikkis. It was semi crunchy, like nice crunch was their on the cover and soft from inside. This starter served on sizzler plate tasted different & nice than some usually veg starters.
#Spinach Malaysian, this was near to kung pao with a twist, it had strong flavour of spinach. A starter was strongly flavored, and cashews added a good crisp. It was nice.
#Paneer rozali kebab, they are creative in making a veg version of Rozali kebab but it lacked a kick. The coating Paneer and filling Paneer both were mild. I think one of these should be a bit at spicy side, they can try a Paneer Cheese mix filling though. This definitely needs improvement. (same was conveyed to the manager on tasting)
#Aloo ki najakat, aloos are my fav. I'd prefer aloo over Paneer. Again, the aloo coating was really good. They were cooked well, the filling was okay okay too but they can improve to make it the best. But, me being a potato lover I liked it 😍
#Lajjatdar tikki masala, this was one amazing veg curry I have ever had. This again had a hint of coconut milk. Which gave it altogether a different taste. It was on sweet side but damn it hell delicious. Smooth, thick and fully rich. #MustMustHave
#Paneer rachado masala, Paneer in thick brown Gravy with slight cheese was very average. This did not appeal me much.
Assorted #Rotis were soft & enjoyable with the curries served.
#Thai fried rice, this rice made in long grained rice was loaded with some crunchy veggies, made in just perfect amount of sauces and spices. Not bland not too spicy but just right. I loved it 😍 #MustHave
Rice was serve with a Thai #curry, which was a good combo. Curry loaded with veggies was lump free but was not much near to an authentic one. They need to work on the recipe to get to close to perfect.
The chilled fruit salad served with custard & icecream was best way to end this dinner. It was delicious, thick, rich and flavorsome. As perfect as a #FruitSalad should be 😊 one of the #MustHave from the list.

In main course we had
Lajjatdar Tikki Masala and paneer rochado masala :- lajjatdar Tikki masala is superb tikkis served with coconut milk onion greavy had superb taste went well with garlic naan and rumali roti
Paneer rochado masala was more on a spicier side but taste was good..
Thai fried Rice & Curry :- Aah this is Superbly done flavorful rice and Thai curry was mind-blowing, we opted for smaller portion as we we're too full
We ended our meal with fruit salad and ice cream it was good.
The portion sizes of each dish is enough for 4 people,The new menu launched by this place is just superb, good food good ambience and soft music will definitely make your dinner a memorable one😊

Excellent food, great ambience, retro feel, garden and ac sections. Lemon coriander soup & cream of mushroom were good. Shanghai Paneer was excellent, it's similar to paneer crispy but the sauce is different and good. Rumali masala khakra was very good. Kasturi Moti Masala a vegetable roll that is covered in roti with red gravy has very good presentation and great taste. Rumali roti, butter nan and Butter kulcha were also good. Reasonable prices and decent quantity. 50 to 100% discount offered to serving armed forces soldier's which is a great gesture.
Me and my cousins decided to go out for dinner and considering all the traffic we finalized Sawai Veg as it is near by and the ambience looked good.
Soup : Lemon Coriander was nice in tasty.. Sweet and tangy taste it gave

We ordered 2 dishes in starters and both the dishes were good
In Main Course : 1 sabzi was ordered as suggested by the manager and it was really good in taste. Roti and Kulchas were soft and fully cooked.
The ambience is good and not too noisy. The restaurant is fairly priced and the overall service is good too. To add on they also gave us one complimentary vegetable dish and it was okay too
I love good veg food specially dal in any form. This place has one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. Food quality was exceptional easily beats a 5*. The presentation and quantity was way way above. Who ever is in charge of this needs ten oats on the back. Simply loved it. A must go if your here . They also have a aamras festival and the mangoes are sweet and tasty

One of the best Pav bhaji you can taste here .the decor is royal and there is a artist who perform very nice basuri all the time in the restaurant it feels good ..service is very fast..and the taste is A1 ..I love to go here Every time for pavbhaji..

We were looking for a place to have lunch and came upon this place. We were apprehensive but we decided to try it out. We ordered Palak paneer, dal makhani, naan and roti followed by buttermilk. Palak Paneer was fresh, balanced and the paneer pieces were literally melting in mouth. Dal makhani was out of this world with the flavour of ghee in it. It reminded me of the authentic dal makhni of north. We finished off our meal buttermilk which was again very fresh and yummy with a perfect balance of salt and cumin. One of the best vegetarian restaurant in Pune. I will surely visit again.
Nice ambience. Food quality is good. We ordered Lemon- coriander soup as starter. It was ok, not great. In main course Sawai kofta was great.! With makai roti it tested superb. Kofta was soft and fresh. Dal madhani was good but can be more tasty. But overall experience was great. Would like to visit again to try more dishes..☺
Have been to sawai veg few times. But summer is the season when I like to visit this place as they do serve aamras. Swai veg serves aamras puri along with little bowl of batata subzi and pulao.
Five big sized puris are served with a bowl of amras.cost of extra bowl of Aamras is little high. But wont mind going there once in a season to njoy king of fruits.

About restaurant, it's crowded on weekends and we've to wait for 10-20 minutes. Ambience is good , it's small place but good. Music and Tabla arrangements are there at evening on most of days, it makes surrounding more nice.

‘Sawai’ is a title of honor used in India. It is one of the must visit place on Sinhgad Road. This place has a nice ambiance. The interior is based on classic peshwa theme. Good place for family dinner. Even in hot summer days you feel relaxed here. I came here many times with friends and family. I liked the Pav-bhaji, mastani & their speciality in veg starters. I recommend to have a ‘Special Pav-Bhaji’ & Mastani. In summer they have variety of fresh mango dishes such as ‘Aamras-Puri’ and in dessert special mango mastani. The service was also good.
It is located on Main road of Dattawadi. Ambience is fantabulous. They don't have candle light dinner but lights make it great. Taste is considerable. Service is excellent.
Sawai is one of the popular restaurant on Sinhgad road. We visited this restaurant on Sunday evening so we had to wait for 20 minutes to get place. They have indoor and outdoor dining. We got place to sit in indoor dining. Interiors of the restaurant is good but I found that it is bit congested due small space. The live flute music was really good. The food is good with variety of cuisines available. Staff is just average.

This is a decent place with good food options. I came here with my family had a nice time. The ambience is really nice with live music. The flute player was excellent and the music was great. The food too was nice. I loved the starter and the soups. The crispy veg starter was really tasty and a must try. The quantity is great and the food is reasonably priced. The starters and soups are excellent but the main course wasn't upto that mark. It wasn't bad but I expected the food to be great after the starters. But overall, the food is good and a really nice place for family. Do try this out.

I was invited by Radio One's Team and MJ Meenal was there for tasting some of their most talked about dishes.
At first glance place is huge with indoor and outdoor sitting area, with fort like interiors showing up the richness of the place. I just peeked in to their huge menu and to my surprise they almost covered all the types of cuisines and t was not that pricey as well.
Mr Vijay the Hotel manager was there to attend us for the todays lunch. We started with Sawai Special Soup: This was unique combination of Minestrone and Sweet Corn Veg Soup with grated Cheese fresh Cream. The soup had noodles with fresh boiled veggies crunchy enough to cut the sweet taste of the soup.
Appetizers: Spinach Malaysia: Googy Spinach Tikki was decorated by crispy veg. I found this bit on greasy side but tastewise it was good.
Kathi Roll Kebab: Marinated Cottage Cheese stuffing with fresh veggies in roomali Roti. Total Indianized Version of Kathi Kabab.
Mains:
Paneer Jungi: This was vegetarian version of prawns jingha. Very well decorated, deep fried onion rings were placed on top, loaded with Small paneer chunks in an onion gravy. Nice spice level with good amount of butter. This goes with Laccha Paratha.
Sawai Maharaja: This is one of the special from the chefs closet. It was huge in portion size and two different gravies served in one plate. One was sweet with Cashew gravy much similar to Navratna Kurma, and the second one was with the onion gravy medium spicy with veggies. This can go with Butter roti and kulcha.
Veg Biryani: All my non-vegetarians friends, let's not start Wor(l)d War III on this.!!! Even we vegetarian have biryani!! This was something different from the other veg biryani served at other places. The rice was red and the vegetables as well. Although this was not as per my palate, didn't liked it much.
Desserts:
Honeymoon special: Let me list out the contains of this, Kulfi with three types of ice creams (Butterscotch, Chocolate and Kesar Pista) some fresh fruits cuts along with Jellies chunks and to decorate wafer triangle and cherry on top.... Oh gosh! It was huge and newly married couple can definitely sweep it out..!

I had a pleasant experience at this hotel. The ambiance was lovely, and the presence of a flute player added to the soothing atmosphere created by the online music. Visited on Monday for dinner. Very nice ambiance, right on the Sinhgad road and on the ground floor makes it easy for elderly and differently abled people.
Everyday live music is played by a flute artist. There are options of sitting indoor in ac hall or in outdoor.
Food quality is really great. Starters are well cooked and the portion is sufficient compare to its price. Soup had perfect taste and thickness.
Menu ranges from Indian, continental to Chinese. Punjabi gravies have lots of options. The one we tried was yellow gravy and it was good enough for 4-5 people.
Garlic naan was delicious and it goes well with Punjabi gravies.
In rice also they have good options available, the rice quantity was optimum.
Overall it's a good option for premium veg. Food restaurant.

The place has valet parking which is convenient for the visitors. The outdoor seating is good and the food is also okay. The service needs improvement as the specific order given was not served and had to be repeated. The major flaw is the entry to the restaurant which has steps to go down and have led lights on the pathway which get into the eyes and tend to blind the patrons. It is very risky especially for the elderly people which risks a fall. This needs to be addressed at the earliest

The service is quick.
Kung Pao soup - The soup was thick. It has lot of veggies. It was cooked properly. In every single slurp the flavors were amazing.
Paneer Banjara kebab - The paneer was soft and fresh. It was perfectly marinated. It was spicy, tasty and delicious.
Veg oreo - They are cutlets more like Manchurian balls in taste. They were served in sizzling pan with soy sauce and tomato sauce in it. They were crunchy, yummy and outstanding.
Chaman Chakori Paneer Mushroom - The paneer was soft and fresh. Its semi solid sabji. It was spicy, little tangy and good.
Veg nurani - The sabji was topped with small Puris. It had a lot of veggies. It was medium spicy, tangy, luscious and awesome.
Raja Rani - The icecream had Malai kulfi on side, Butterscotch and Gulkand in between with lot of jellies and dry fruits. Everything together tasted Lovely.
Fruit punch - It was thick. Its made of different fruit layers. The taste was mind-blowing.

This is one of the best restaurants I have visited. Food quality is yummy. Service is fast. Staff is friendly. This is veg restaurant. Clean, hygienic. We had ordered Paneer Butter Masala n butter roti n nans. The Naan was so thin. I just loved their naan. We had also ordered Sizzling Brownie. The size of brownie was big compared to other restaurants I have been. They do provide extra chocolate sauce along with it.

I enjoyed the Aamras Puri thali. Mind well that this is only a limited Thali for Rs.400. All items in this thali are limited. It contains 5 Puris, a katori of pulao, a katori of potato dry Sabji, two pieces of Hara Bhara Kabab, a bowl of Aamras with a few Alphonso mango pieces, raita, pickle and one roasted papad. Actually just a katori of the potato sabji is not at all sufficient for 5 Puris. Besides only a small katori of rice is just insufficient. At the price of Rs. 400 at least all items except Aamras & Puris should be unlimited. So quantitywise this Thali is insufficient for lunch or dinner.
I recently visited Sawai Veg and had a fantastic experience. The food quality at this restaurant is truly exceptional. It's undoubtedly the best place in the area for a family outing.

Great ambience, you have choice to enjoy outdoor or indoor seating. Good for groups and family. There is silence background music running along with live fluet gives cool and calm relax tension free great experience. You have good reserved parking space for 2/4 wheelers.
