Tried puri bhaji and gulabjamoon combo and loved it. The quality and quantity were too good.
Yesterday, we were craving for some good South Indian Food and wanted to try a new place. After surfing Zomato for some time stumbled on a newly opened place called 'Thambbi'. The food pictures looked good and had a few positive reviews, so decided to give it a try.
The place has ample of space and a nicely done interior.
At first we ordered Podi Idli. The fluffy Idlis were on point & the Podi was a delight to our taste buds. #Recommended
For the mains we ordered Andhra Masala Dosa & Rawa dosa. The Andhra Dosa was absolutely delicious served with Sambhar, Coconut & Tomato Chutney. It is similar to Mysore Masala Dosa but had their special Andhra Masala instead. It was one of the tastiest Dosa I have had in a long time. #HighlyRecommended
Rawa Dosa was crispy and had a good texture. The sambar, I felt was a little tangy for my taste, but yummy. The servers were well informed about the dishes and were quick with their services.
We ended our meal with filter coffee. I asked the server to make my coffee a little strong and the result was perfect. #MustTry
Thambbi is nice South indian restaurants and they serve North Indian food too. But according to my experience they are best with South indian cuisine. We had Butter podi idli and Dahi wade and believe me they were delicious . We usually go to Thambbi for the Butter Podi Idli because they have such an awesome Idlis
I was in this area few days ago and found this Thambbi casual dining south Indian restaurant.

This is our go-to place for South Indian food. The quality of food is excellent and the price is very reasonable. Butter Podi Idli is the best dish on the menu.
There are two downsides of this place:
1. Waiting time: You have to wait for a long time before your order comes to your table.
2. Ambience: If you care about ambience, this place is not a place you'd like to visit.
If you're like me who don't care much about above two, this is a must visit place.
All in all, it looks like the owners know how to serve the best food but don't know much about running a business.
Awesome South Indian restaurant is Pune. Serving hot South Indian famous breakfast items. Try their medu wada and onion uthhappa.... So the filter coffee served differently is good to try.
Past week I visit this out to try their famous epic thambbi dosa, damnn it was Hugh. Moreover, it had 3 varieties like Andra Masala, Cheese And Green Chutney. Overall it is more than enough for 3 people and it tasted pretty well actually.
Then I tried Dil Khush Dosa which was something different since it was filled with a lot of cheese and veggies served with Yummy sambar which was really good in taste and was full of flavours.
Lastly I tried there homemade ice-cream which was really amazing.
We had thali here.
It was really authentic South Indian meal.. Puri, sambhar, rasam, kurma, bhaji, chana masala, chaas, papad.. taste is really good. Must have for authentic South Indian food. Completely satisfied

Just loved this place for South Indian dishes. If anyone is looking for South Indian just come here for the yummy varieties of Dosas and uttapam. We visited thambi frequently. Staff is very cooperative. Ambience is good and clean.
The food was really tasty. They offer a wide range of south indian breakfast and lunch options along with a few North Indian dishes. I had tried their thatte idly, wada, Andhra masala dosa. All of them were so good especially their Andhra dosa was their USP. Do try it out you will definitely love the subtle spice element added in it. The atmosphere was not that great when I had visited the outlet as there was some construction work going on and hence it was difficult to figure out the entry for the restaurant. Otherwise the overall experience was good π
