A 5 - star place for people who want to taste different maharashtrian regional dishes... Authentic recipes and one of a kind menu!! ....
Heads up for people who prefer spicy food many dishes are on the sweeter side.... But authentic in their own way!
Please go with an empty stomach!
Excellent place to have rare available Maharashtrian/Konkan cuisine. Very few places will give you such a different Maharashtrian fare. The menu is designed well with many dishes that were not known or rare to find in a normal resturant. Ambience is nice and quiet. Tried some starters and well as main course. Loved it.

Excellent place for some delicacies from Vidarbha, Kokan region. Refreshing change. Menu is compact but preparation is very tasty.
We had Shev bhaji, nagpur spring rolls, kothimbir vadi, solkadhi, kalan (tasty health soup), masvadi. All well prepared, presented and served.
Overall - A great experience again second time. Strongly recommended.
Suggestions:
1. Arrange lift asap for elderly guests as staircase only situation limits guests who can choose this restaurant and miss the nice experience.
2.Solkadhi is quite sweet which can be balanced by reducing the extra sweetness.
3. Service speed : can be slightly improved from kitchen side , for creating delightful experience.
Ok, Not a typical restaurant.. If you want to try something different than typical punjabi food. Try this.
Little overpriced.. a/c and Non a/c section.
Located on the first floor and no elevator. So it's difficult for senior citizens..
Located in Digambar hall premises..
Food was awesome.
I went on weekdays so there was no crowd.
They had a very unique and homely menu. I missed those dishes which i used to eat in my hometown and i am glad that now i know a place where i can get those whenever i want.
Best option for Veg people... Starters, main course and dessert... everything is awesome.
Kaap - Suran and Batata... Nagpuri spring roll and Masala Bhakri must try.
Solkadhi - very nice.
Ghavan, Tandalachi bhakti ... 5 stars
Shahlyachi bhaji, Fansachi bhaji and Maaswadi bhaji with Indrayani bhat.,.. Tasty.
Jackfruit ice cream, Saandan - very nice..
Ambience is nice. Staff is co-operative.
Parking inside.
Please visit once as it has different menu
Very good place for maharashtrian food. You get different items from all part of Maharashtra.
Food quantity and quality both is good. Service was also very good.
I went for breakfast and ordered Kol pohe, kat wada and Misal was good.
Most of the items contain coconut.
Visited this restaurant during weekdays.
Ample parking space for two and four wheeler is available.
If any one has to test maharashtrian food then you must try this restaurant. We tried Piyush and solkadhi. Test was awesome.
For the lunch, we ordered valvaval and thandul bhakri /ghavan. Test was like home cook food. Overall dining experience was good. Service was quick enough.
Quantity wise some people might feel less quantity for two peoples and also feel little pricey if compared to normal punjabi dishes but i think both are justify able considering authenticity of food.
Must try....
Thank you team for serving the authentic maharastrian dishes... Appreciated!!!
I have visited this place many times and still feel that I need visit it again as you cannot have all the menu tasted in just one or two visits. The complete menu on the card is worth tasting and a faast for all vegetarians. In most of the restaurants we get the same repeated Punjabi menu but here something different is available for your taste buds. Worth trying.
Good Maharashtrian food.
We had a variety of food. Some were good while some can be improved in taste.
Desserts really needs improvement.
Overall we all loved it.
Must visit and encourage the venture 👍🏼
Lovely and clean ambiance, great food and super quick service.
Saandan is indeed a place where you relish the food to the heart’s content.
We had ordered Jalgavi Bharit, Nagpuri Spring roll and Vadabhat, Kaap, Mango Saandan, Ghavan and Shahalyachi Bhaji I.e. tender coconut vegetable, Solkadhi and Mattha (buttermilk with spice). Everything was served in a very elegant and presentable manner. Nagpuri Spring rolls and Kaap were very tasty. Bharit can be improved as it was not enough spicy. The Solkadhi and Mattha were good. Shahalyachi bhaji is little on the sweeter side but it is something we must try.
Service was super quick.
Overall, a must try restaurant for typical Maharashtrian Veg Cuisine.
Over all experience is nice.
Though the names of Recipes are traditional.
Food was not that authentic.
Amazing authentic maharashtrian food from konkan. Try there kulith pethle with indrayni rice, tender coconut bhaji, kaap, piyush. Ambience is also good.
Puran pooli in desert is amazing, soul kadhi, patodya chi bhaji with indrayani rice. Friends loved this place. Kothambir wadi.
Also tried today 24.4.23 - puri with amrass
Every time we go there, it always surprises us with there unusually taste of good vegetarian food.
Visited Saandan and was pleasantly surprised at the unique cuisine. The menu was vast and every dish tasted like nothing I have had before. It opened up a new vista of taste for us.
Sol Kadhi whipped up the appetite with its wholesome texture and deliciousness. Tomato Che Saar and Kalan were an introduction to how soups can be very different and tantalize the taste buds.
Nagpuri Spring Roll was tasty, given the very unusual filling. Kaap that had thinly cut potato and yam pieces, sprinkled with masala was my favorite. Crisp and very tasty.
In the main course, we ordered Jwari Bhakri and Ghavan with Pat Wadi Rassa and Tender Coconut Bhaji. I was so impressed by the overall taste, especially the Tender Coconut Bhaji, which was a first time delicacy for me. The balance of taste was remarkable. The Jwari ji Bhakri complemented the Pat Wadi Rassa very well.
Topped off the gastronomic experience with Sandan Mango, a delicacy that will stay with me till my next visit.
This restaurant opens up a new Maharashtrian cuisine experience. Good service with an explanation on exactly what you are opting for from the menu. Ethnic ambience with beautiful frames from Pandharpur, hygienic and good seating arrangements with an AC and non-AC section. Prices are very reasonable for what you get by way of taste and quantity.
Visit it and you will love what you get.
If you are vegetarian, looking to taste Maharashtrian authentic dishes from different place then you can visit this place to taste different food other than paneer or malai kofta.
It is located above digambar hall kothrud.
Ambiance was good and service was also quick. They have various dishes available from various region of maharashtra like Kokan, marathwada, Vidarbh.
We have tasted solkadhi, mathha, bhendi kurkure, kaap, jalgavi vangyache bharit, tender coconut bhaji and was really good.
Overall Good Food ..More inclined towards Konkani Food which Coconut 🥥 Base. Ambiance and service is good ..Bit pricey from budget perspective.
