Hello🌎 People today's review is on ✍️ Emah The meaning of ema:Chilli Spice With chef pema, who masters her skills,at 4 specialised cuisines 1-Tibetan 2-Nepalase 3-Bhutanese 4-North east(Nagaland) We cudn't be happier to try out such an varied cuisine. As leh,a trip deeply cherished by us,we never ever stopped loving momos or thinking of them! When, pune boasted of this being in their kitty,we cudn't be happier. Just 3 months new, this one is a healthy baby! Dishes will inspire you! What we tried!👇 Tibetan 1)Poached veg momo-These hand-made momos are served with a spicy dip made with sesame and chillies. Made more healthy in a good portion of spinach in the plain flour dough. The stuffing has a good portion of carrot, cabbage, onion, garlic, ginger, cilantro. Flavours are on the dot! Utterly unique juicy & delicious! 2)Nepalese jhol momo-Truly famous and much adored steam dumplings served with the jhol which is a achar soup. These momos r bobbing up n down laced with powdered sesame which gives a nice kick of chilli and tanginess. A good after hint of whole spices made into powder, dry red chillies and peppercons.Whhtay jhol! This has a healthy dose of seasonal vegetables. Made more healthy in a good portion of beta-carotene(carrot),in the plain flour dough. 3)Stuffed tingmo-Once they r properly proofed n steamed, all the layers of bun open like a flower. Made with seasonal fresh greens, pokchoy becomes the star...the steamed bun is almost addictive and truly wholesome. Tibetan 1)Phing-tse-glass noodles-These transparent glass noodle jewels also known as phing just melt away...if these are not those then the dish will change...and but ofcourse this had the correct flavours.Generally phing is made from potato, sweet potato or tapoica starch. With a good blend of vegetables, with happy potato screaming eat me,and the spice level being so comforting,in which good chunky plain steamed rice, acts as an assurance, heyy all is good!Almost like a perfect couple! And will come in the comfort food categoary. 2)Bhutanese-Ema dacchi-A hearty delight flavours coming from EMA-Chilli peppers DATCHI-Cheese These cheese delight made with just one sort of bright non-spicy green chilli which provide the heat with just a dash of their inhouse, sesame and chilli paste, which they retail too...goes a long way in each bite when mixed well here again the main staple being plain steamed white rice. Cheese shud just not be stringy...made with locally grown cheese. 3)Mothuk-A good combination as food for the soul, sends by the heavens above! This has a medium spicy broth, with stuffed momos a good handful bobbing up n down and the seasonal vegetables, just swimming by in the broth! Now piece de resistance They have a tiny delivery kitchen with a art creative wall also known as a Creative mural! Must see! Happy Eating!

I had visited this place various time, maybe the most number of times before and the food quality was awesome. This place serves authentic Naga food and the Pork is to die for. So, a 5 star for that. But, I had visited this place this week in the evening again, for some reason, the specs guy at the reception was super rude and did not answer any questions about the food items sportingly. We were there to try bamboo shoot for the first time and wanted to ensure more quantity of shoots than pork which he very rudely denied. Then I politely mentioned that we are a regular, to which he again was rude and ignored and suggested to just order. It was almost like “just shut up and order and leave” The other staff members were always welcome to questions, customising as per request like spice level and ingredients. I understand this is not always possible for every item, but being rude was a big NO for us. We cancelled our order and sorry to say, but you lost a regular. But, thanks again for service delicious food the many times we visited.

I happened to stop by at Emah's- The himalyan kitchen and being very inquisitive about Tibetan and north eastern cuisine, I decided to try it out. I was guided by the owner, who helped me decide my to go order and her recommendations were bang on. The chicken naga curry with steamed bread, chicken thukpa, grilled pork ribs and assorted momo's (chichen/pork) with bhut jolokia dip were filled with authentic asian flavours never tried before. The pork pickle is something I had never even heard of before and upon trying it, it's definately worth a buy here. All in all my experience here has beyond words. A big shout out to the staff of emah himalyan kitchen and the owner for serving such homely, reasonable, hygienic and flavour packed food.

Couldn't have been a better day than to order from them. The Pune weather is just perfect to savour the hill food, as if you are actually in midst of the cold weather while digging your teeth into the sumptuous treat that this place offers. Had my eye on them ever since I read about them in the local paper. The non veg shapta had the right cooked pieces and the right amount of chilli and ginger flavor. Naga chicken in bamboo shoots is equally interesting with chunks of super soft meat and the health benefits that the bamboo is known to offer. Team it up with rice and you have a lip smacking delight. The tibetan spicy wings were not too spicy on their own, but when teamed with the sauce given by them they were enough to make the bite spicy hot. Try their sauce at your own risk. A very very very satisfying meal.

Simple yet delicious. They don’t have a huge variety but everything is authentic, steamed, soupy, and just the right amount of seasoning. Their pork preparations of thentuk, thukpa, tingmo, shabale and others are just delicious. Their vegetarian options are just superb and simple.

This is the first time I've tasted such yummy yet authentic Naga/North east food in Pune. Have tried the Naga Pork, Shabale, Thentuk and Mutton momos. Everything surpassed expectations. Hands down best North east food available in Pune. The portioning is really good and worth every penny

Really enjoyed this authentic meal from Pema's Emah! We got crispy fried pork, chicken thentuk, pork and bamboo shoot curry, pork with vegetables and chicken curry. All had distinctive flavours that are not found in other cuisines. It was such a wonderful meal as it tasted so different from other Indian flavours. Thanks Pema!

Ordered some spicy naga pork with bamboo shoot and it was amazing. Loved the portion and real fermented bamboo shoot. If anyone in Pune is looking for some Assamese or naga style pork curry, this is the place.

The food is amazing and delicious no doubt. The only thing which I didn't like is the way they behave with the customers, I usually go there and eat, they don't give a humble gesture instead they just sit on their phones and don't attend customers humblely. Though I like the food, I won't be visiting there again due to lack of hospitality.

Pros: -Awesome authentic north-eastern food. - Everything was Yumm.. Cons: - Price is very high and not reasonable €> • Portion is also less in terms of price. - One has think to order again...As the price is high it becomes to order once in a year and surely people will try to cook like that at home because of high price
