While looking on the internet "about things to do in Goa" I read about this restaurant. Everyone recommended this place for authentic Chicken Cafreal and it was delicious and flavourful (flavour 4 out of 5). Bombil fry was delicious but the Prawn Balchao was not that good.
Staff are efficient and this place is easy on the pocket. Not sufficient parking spaces specially during rush hours.
A Must visit.
The place us situated in Saligao ..on the way to calangute, It is slightly towards the inside of the main road so you gotta take a right once you are there and you will see a big board that says Florentine.. so the thing that I like about the place is how welcoming and nice the staff is.. and also the ambience of the place is superb..fresh airy and kind of aromatic from all the cafreal thats been cooking in the kitchen .. our favourite food there is the chicken cafreal .. hands down.. it’s one of the best I have had ! So yeah that’s all Id like to say.. visit florentine and taste their chicken cafreal and you ll be back with a smile on your face..
My friend in Goa recommended this place to have authentic Chicken Cafreal. As it turned out, when you enter this place, you will smell an aroma which is of chicken Cafreal. Chicken Cafreal is really really tasty and flavoursome. You will see everyone is eating the same. I would recommend having Serradura as a dessert. It is very not too sweet but very yummy. The price is very nominal. Must visit places in Goa.
We tried their speciality Chicken cafrel with chicken fried rice and buns. Unique taste and excellent service.
The staff explained us the different options and about their specialities. Peaceful ambience.
I’m visiting this place for the second time. The first time was about 2yrs ago.
Chicken Cafreal with Poe is a must try. We also tried Prawns butter garlic and that was fresh too. King Fish (surmai) was not fresh and fell short of the expectations built during our last visit. Overall positive experience though due to atmosphere and service quality.
A local secret this place is a must visit every time in Goa. The food is amazing and fresh staff is very friendly and nice. The in house bread (poi) is so good just perfect with their super delicious and famous chicken cafreal. We ordered kingfish Goan curry with steam rice and that was 10on10 the curry was so good. The kingfish and rockfish fry masala were outstanding. 100% recommended simple clean so yum 👍
Chicken Cafreal with Poi bread is my personal favourite here. Also tried Butter Garlic Prawns, Kingfish Fry, Serradura.
One of the best authentic goan restuarant
We wanted to try authentic goan dishes and decided to visit here. We ordered Chicken Vindaloo and chicken cafreal. Cafreal was excellent, the Vindaloo gravy was something unique that I've never tried before. They also gave us extra gravy for the cafreal which was great.
Then for dessert we ordered the caramel pudding and bebinca cake. The bebinca was absolutely delicious, the best one I've eaten.
Heaven For Non-vegetarian. Traditional hotel serving Portuguese style food.
Chicken Cafrel is their famous dish.
It doesn't have much ambience, facility but this place has it's own charm.
Food is pocket friendly too. Sorry guys, If you are vegetarian like me then you will be disappointed as there is nothing good for you. 😅
My friend ordered chicken cafrel
while we order
Fresh Lime Soda(5/5)
As nice as it should be
Veg Xacutti (2/5)
three-four piece of chopped veggi and 95% of liquid gravy
Goan Bread/Pav (5/5)
Traditional Pav to have with veggies
Paneer Chilly Starter (0.1/5)
Ultra disappointing. Only rubber kind paneer and onion. Not even chilly.
Schezwan Fired Rice (4/5)
It tastes medium spicy and good.
Desert -Banana Caremel with 3 Ice cream scoop (4/5)
2piece of banana on which there will be honey/Caremel and 3 flavored Baskin Robbins ice cream scoop -alphanso, strawberry and Vanila
Desert -Seradura (5/5)
Cream with biscuit dust spread on it, it's there trademark item but overpriced.
Low key local place with yummy food! The rava fried chicken, chicken cafreal, and all the seafood dishes are great!! Even their Chinese is pretty good!
And definitely try their chef special seafood platter! You get 4 times the amount of delicious and varied fish that you would get somewhere else in the same price!
And delicious Serradura for dessert!
We went there to have dinner. We tried Chicken Cafreal with Poe and caramel custard. Chicken Cafreal was really good as we tried it for the first time. Cozy and nice environment. The service was good as well
If you are in Goa you must try the Chicken cafreal one of the best in Goa staff is friendly and the service is amazing
Heard about this place from a friend & was eager to try the Chicken Cafreal that this place is so famously known for. Wasn't disappointed... they have good starters and main course options and the food is really good, both quality wise and quantity wise. Ideal place for groups, families and friends!
Overall good ambience, there is AC seating upstairs & the staff are efficient. Located close to the stunning gorgeous & famous Saligao church!
The best place to enjoy AUTHENTIC CAFREAL AND CARAMEL CUSTARD. I visited it again after 4 years and taste stays the same. Fast service with well spoken waiters. Parking is still issue ,very limited space .
The Famous Cafreal place in Goa.
The restaurant is very old and serves one of the best Chicken Cafreal in Goa. We had ordered Chicken Cafreal, Prawns Rava Fry, Chicken Chilly and Chicken Liver Fry. The Cafreal was spicy and good but the they only give very gravy, but the highlight of the night was the Liver fry. They were really damn good.
Parking is limited and a bit tight near the restaurant so better to pack on the main road.
The ambience is really good, and the service person are good but the service is really slow, especially for Cafreal gravy.
The Caramel Pudding dessert is great.
Though Worth Visiting..!!

The last i visited Florentine was in 2019 right before the pandemic and I had fallen in love with place, vibe, food and the whole experience.
So this time my expectations were high, I did see the same old friendly faces in the staff but there has been change on so many levels. While change is understandable, this time it lacked both in terms of the food & overall experience.
We ordered in the classic chicken cafreal which can rather dry and since we were 4 each recieved a tiny gravy bowl with it. Lacked in terms of flavour and hence mainly the 4/5
The bombil fry was top notch just like the calamari fry.
The cocktails were pretty decent too.
The quantity of seradura and taste of the creme caramel were rather disappointing though.
Overall it was a good experience.
Every time we visit Goa, this place is a must visit for us. Famous for its Chicken Cafreal, the birthplace of the delicacy, you can enjoy other Goan delicacies as well. Besides Goan, they also offer other varieties of food. And, it's quite affordable. Ambiance is typically Goan, service is good and staff is courteous.
We had a good dinner at GOA after a long time.
Their seafood soup was really good.
Then we tried their seafood platter the gasket was awesome.
Chicken cafreal was good.
There mutton xacuti was really good.
One thing that surprised me was the pricing of these food.
Amazing authentic Goan Food. Also you can get your Bottle and pay corkage !
Must visit.
Don’t eat any Chicken dish ! Order seafood and they have a Bun, really good.
