The restaurant was highly recommend by a friend, and v were surely not disappointed. The efforts taken by the chef were evident in every bite of the dishes we ordered. The staff was accommodating and affable!

Best place for authentic Goan food at reasonable rates.
Very good and helpful staff.
Thanks Anthony
Probably the best place to go for Goan dishes. We have tried Pork Vindaloo and Prawns perri-perri preparation- both were really good. Nice ambience service

Very welcoming staff..great ambience, goan music...and authentic goan food to die for! Loved the chicken cafreal and stuffed crab..will definitely come back for more
Great Food & Awesome Ambience.
Wl definitely recommend.
We were there first time for Valentine's Day dinner but surprised at the low occupancy. FB page said 20% discount but we didn't get, probably our fault that we forgot to ask for it at the time of the bill :-(
Exceptional food. One of THE BEST restaurants I have been to and we have been coming to Goa for 12 years. Food is gorgeous, very fresh and tasty. Service is excellent too and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
Amazing food, excellent ambience and very good service. The Goan Style Chilli Chicken, Prawn Paozine and Mutton Sukha are must have for appetisers. We tried the Mutton Xacutti and steamed rice for our main, excellent flavours and tender meat. Had the Banana Moira for desert and Coconut Bread pudding.
What a great place to be in north goa - the food and the hospitality its truely amazing, i will recommoned this place to all my friends and family members.
The best Goan Food I've eaten- authentic ! And the service is impeccable !
Thanks Sahil to bring this up.. Food was great.. Enjoyed the evening
You may include some more authentic Goan dishes.. I missed vyala chi bhaaji
Now I know Mums kitchen has competition..
All the best..
All the best..
Stopped here for dinner. Currently with low tourist flow the place is very peaceful. Food was excellent. We ordered Mushroom Xacuti, Peas Pulao and Sol Kadi. All of them had excellent taste and were freshly prepared. Would recommend this for a perfect Goan meal.
We went to this place as it was close to our hotel with little expectations. The food was really good esp the chicken cafreal and the fish balchao.
Taste:4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Cost: 900 for 2
This happened to be the best place I visited in goa this time...super goan food...beautiful arrangements and good service too..worth the try.
This place is right next to Sinq prive, goan food is really amazing. We loved the place, and visited this place 4 times during our trip. Chicken xacuti is mouth watering, Sol kadi was really tasty. veg and king fish thali was the best. Awesome ambience and service too. Will definitely visit this place next time as well.
Good food, simple ambiance, good service.
The stuffed crab was yum. The clams were good. The xec xec crab was amazing and the fish curry was average. Over all good food and reasonably priced. Location is very convenient and is walking distance from the Taj holiday village and Aguada.
The Goan thali was absolutely amazing. It lit our mood and we were delighted. Staff was humble and courteous. Ambience is calming. If you ask me, it's the best place if you want to try authentic Goan food. Loved it, will suggest it to anyone who visits candolim.
If you want authentic Goan food which is value for money then this is the place to go. I like prefer to go here for lunches. I usually for prawn balchao or crab š¦ or pomfret which is excellent. But today went for the Goan veg thali since I was a veg today. The thali is good for a vegetarian. For a non veg I would suggest to just order off the menu and not go for the thali. Overall good experience. Chilled out. Thankyou Soi for always delivering the best in service and food. #shruti_a_healthy_way
Well this was a discovery of an absolute gem in sinquerim. Kudos to chef Diago to have followed and mastered age old recipe book called Susegad.we ordered prawns pulao, sungta lonchem(prawn pickle), modso&prawns fry, tomato & bhindi curry and kismore. On the side to give additional tang was tendli pickle. The goan twister cocktail at the start was outstanding and had set up the mood and appetite to go for it. Every bite was amazing and had to acknowledge the chef and the service staff who were from manipur and extremely polite. Ambiance itself lifts your mood as one enters. Just cannot wait for the next visit. Strongly recommended for those who have the taste for an authentic goan experience.
Had my first Goan thali at this place and it was totally worth it .. kishmoor is a must try .. I would recommend a prawn thali over fish thali. The curry was just perfect .. all over a complete satisfying meal .
We absolutely loved our meal at Soi - truly authentic Goan fare!! We ordered the day's special - Chonak in Cafreal Masala along with 3 different Thali's to try the variety - Vegetable Thali, Prawn Thali and Kingfish Thali. Honestly, few of the best Thali's we've had in Goa. Also, the service, ambience and music is amazing, so kudos Soi Team :)
Beautiful place. It's on the SinQ prive property on the busy aguada siolim road. We found it on zomato and thought of giving it a try based on the good rating here. Must say, the best fish fry of my entire Goa visit. Yummilicious Goan fish curry. The staff is very courteous and the food is great.what else one wants!
Very tasty Goan food, warm and friendly staff enjoyed the soi prawns and poi was delicious, must try it for sure. We had an enjoyable evening š
A must visit place for experiencing authentic Goan cuisine. Loved the pork vindaloo & the stuffed calamari. Definitely gonna come again.......

Perfect place for Goan food. This was my second visit. Ordered Fish Thali and Chicken Cafreal
Both were delicious. Fish in the thali was without bones which is another thing I liked. Ambience is relaxing with soothing Goan music.
Quintessentially Goan- the thali is a must try at Soi located bang opposite the Taj Holiday Village. A perfect afternoon setting with very attentive staff and service.
Been to this place last Saturday.. Nice Ambience, friendly staff..and here you get best goan food.. Must try there thali which is available only for lunch..If you are in Goa or planning to visit.. this place should be there on your must visit list..my best wishes to Team Soi..Keep doing good work..Cheers
If you end up in Goa by somehow, this is a must go place and add it to your travel diary. Must try goan thali with some beers. Searched for authentic goan meal and found this one to be classic. Awesome ambience that compliments the taste. š
I was in search of authentic Goan food after being disappointed with restaurants appearing like ancient villas, but only serving Chinese and North Indian food. This hotel showed first on Google maps, and also had the highest rating.
After visiting it, I know why the hotel stays on top. Authentic Goan dishes, the ambience, and the politeness of staff don't fail in winning you over. I'm so glad I visited this place in Goa over any other.
But as few reviews mention, the price isn't on the lower side. This is a somewhat expensive restuarant, but the food is worth paying for.
Worth visiting ā¤ļø
A late-night chance visit led us to Soi during our recent stay at Sinquerim, Goa and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Goa tour!
Situated right above SinQ Nightclub, it's an unassuming place. The decor is a mix of old world charm and modern touches.
Food- some suggestions:
1. Sungtache Lonche (Prawn pickle): If this doesn't send your tastebuds into a tizzy, i dont know what will. Packed full of flavour. One of my favorites. The traditional Goan Prawn pickle will not disappoint. Worth a try definitely.
2. Chorizo Chilly Fry: A classic when it comes to Goan fare. Cooked to perfection, during our visit. We loved it.
3. Chonak fillets Masala Rawa fry: The chonak is a local delicacy. And Soi does fry them well. Must try.
When it comes to cocktails, do try the Patrao Sour- a feni based local cocktail.
The staff is courteous as well. The pricing is decent. We loved the experience and would be back soon! Thanks Soi!
We visited this place for a celebratory dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the Goan food at this place. We ordered the drumsticks Goan style which was my least favorite. However other than that everything that we ordered was really good. Starting with the Goan saugsage chilly, to prawns masala fry, to chefs special chicken, the surmai Goan fry, Goan prawn curry with steam rice and finally the chicken vindaloo. We really enjoyed ourselves. The only request to the management is to use a little more sturdy glasses. We had 2 kids and both hurt themselves as the glasses they we're using cracked while they were have iced water. The glasses were really thin and gave way due to the temperature fluctuation.
Have to give 5 awesome food n cocktail all though not been pleasant experience at gate by un groomed security guard for parking my be from Sinq night club but immediately some other staff make it up. Talking about food as mentioned in other review it's really awesome very nice cocktail been suggested peanut masala for munching all though they serve Thali only for lunch still other dish like stuff crab n Tiger prwan very much impressed. Have eaten softess Nan ever over nice experience will surely come back for Thali.
If you are in Goa and you are planning to visit Fort Aguada this is the place where you should plan your lunch. One of the most sought out places for traditional Goan cusine with sufficient quantity with awesome taste. Been here with my friend in August, 2018. Yes, this review is super late.
The dishes we ordered were Crab Xec- Xec , this particular dish is spicy with red thick gravy intertwined with the juices in the crab meat is a definite try. The quantity is also pretty good.
Another dish was "Stuffed crab" which is mildly spicy and you would like to have it just as it is and it will definitely suffice your tastes for crabmeat.
Goan Rice is also must try for rice lovers as the rice has got sweet aroma and in my opinion is cooked without salt. With this rice we ordered "Chicken Xacuti " perfect with rice/roti as per choice.
Surmai (King Fish) Fish Thali has got the combination of veggies and was not that appealing as compared to other dishes that we ordered but keeping budget in view and hunger this one is a good option.
If you want authentic Goan food you must go there, It's really amazing and delicious food. Thank you soi for such a amazing experience.
Food recommendations chicken cafrel, kingfish Curry and don't miss sol kadi.
Such an amazing place. In a matter of 3 days, we had 5 meals. Their Chinese preparation, North Indian Food, Goan Thali, Munchies and Cocktails, every thing they make is so good. This place is a must visit in Candolim. The ambience is good, spacious, and well lit. A must have at this place is Pina Colada with their Masala Peanuts. The staff is very polite. Some outdoor seating as well.
Soi has a new chef now and boy does he know his vindaloo from fejiado !! The food has definitely gone up notches . They also have a new thali menu for lunch which is absolutely magnificent and the best thali that I have had in Goa till date . Besides the kingfish , Modso and Prawn Thali they also have a huge Veg Thali which is value for money and yummy . I recommended Chef Diego to introduce a pork thali but it seems that he has to take management approval for the same !! For lunch please do book and go as you may have to be in queue. If you enjoy Gian food In itās true authentic flavors then Soi should be your go to place . For recommended dishes of the day ask Anthony the matireād and he will let you know of the specials of the day .
We had the Goan prawns thali and goan veg thali. Prawns thali had 4 prawns dishes.. All of them were very different in their make and needless to say we were really impressed. Full marks to the chef and the team.
Located at Candolim, next to Sinq Lounge. Good Ambience, famous for authentic goan food. Serves fish/prawns/veg thali at a very affordable cost for less than 300. I had ordered prawns thali, liked the prawns curry.
They also serve alcohol š
Superb experience.. Yummy food.. We tried their Thali, Soi Prawns, chorizo chilli fry.. Excellent food.. Staff is very friendly and good.. Excellent chef.. Highly reccomendable.. Infact we were staying at Taj but use to enjoy Soiās Goan Cuisine..
Must visit for excellent authentic Goan good. Tried the prawn thali which was outstanding . The calamari peri peri was so excellent. Good service and authentic food. Not to be missed.
Hidden gem! King fish thali and Prawn thali are outstanding. This was recommend by locals and now I know why it was awesome. The chef has put in his heart and soul into the dishes. MUST visit if you crave for Goan food!
Been here twice - the first visit was 2 years ago. Happy to see their rating going up as they truly deserve it. Today we tried Soi special prawn which was extremely yummy and different..Goan fish curry had all the flavours in the right proportion and their breads were fresh too. We ended our lunch with an after meal kokum drink which had a perfect punch.. Their interiors and staff members deserve a special mention as well. Will definitely visit again.
Fantastic service, ambience & food! We dropped by this place based on a random search driven by hunger! And I am glad we made the right choice. Thali was excellent and offered the best value for the money. Prawns fry was delicious. The fish used is very fresh! Overall a great dining experience.
There is a quirky thing about first times. They can make or break a heart forever....and you wont find solace ever again. OR the first time will simply sweep you off your feet and leave such an indelible impression that you go back again and again in search of that unfulfilled gluttony. My visit to Soi was something like this. We were staying at the Taj Fort Agouda but frankly never liked their overpriced food. I guess that is an acquired taste. Hence we three..me, my DW and my hungry kid went out walking on a Sunday afternoon in search of some simple Goan food. The brisk walk along the shadowed lanes of Calangute is never tiring but then we were hungry. We were early for Sunday afternoon and hence a few eateries were still cleaning up. A few more steps and we found Soi hidden at a cosy corner 1st floor rain battered goan house. "Best Goan Thali" attracted me as I had heard about it a lot and wanted to try. So here we climbed up the stairs....
The ambience is purely Goan...splashed with Mario graffic all around and a beautiful foot tapping goan number playing in the background. We ordered one King Fish Thali, One veg thali and one Sea Bass in Butter Garlic for my kid.
The food was delivered in 10 mins...piping hot and beautifully spread across a steel thali with small katories. For my kid the chef had prepared special plain dal with absolutely no chillies and a wonderful sea bass with butter garlic. The aroma itself was appetizing. It was now time to dig in. The fish thali came with a huge seer fish rava fry...one king fish goan gravy...one prawn coconut fry...one kismur, a veg sabji, fresh salad and solkadi. The veg thali had similar stuff with creative veg alternative like egg plant rawa fry crispy and spicy. I have never had such delicious fresh seer fish, and such tasty kismur in Goa. Food was so balanced to the palate that my kid finished his entire fish with rice and the plain dal. They customized the dishes for us just like any fine dine place would do. The chef came down personally to inquire on the taste. We were bowled....clean bowled and all this in less than 500 per person. I am definitely going back for some pork vindaloo and other Goan stars in the menu before I leave for Bangalore. Cheers! SOI TEAM.
Was craving some local Goan food. Came across this restaurant after reading the reviews on Zomato. And it didnāt disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious. Enjoyed every bit of it. Will surely go back again. Highly recommended
Perfect goan food..Loved the rawa fried kingfish
Ambience was amazing..A bit overpriced though but worth it ! Staff an service both are good , one of the best restaurant in that area
My family(group of 7 adults, 2 teenagers n 1 toddler) including me bsolutely loved the ambience, the good service n most all amazing food, taste, quality n quantity. They were so good 90% of the times, I would give them a solid 4.5* but dint want to give just 4* but yes you gotta try them. For the prices charged, the quantity, quality n taste was bang on. The crab Xec is a goan dish, crabs were full n the dish was so yummy, we literally digged into the crabs with our bare hands to enjoy it. The chicken sukhem very good too.
The drawbacks the mashed potato as a side that accompanied the pork chops was weird, it tasted as if fried in ghee. The pork chops was not bad but definitely would have been better had it been cooked in a thicker gravy sauce.
If you going here for a special occasion call n inform in advance as they have limited desserts options n cant arrange a cake or a pastry last minute
I took one of my friend for a lunch at this lovely restaurant as i had tried soi in Dona paula. The food in soi candolim is better than soi dona paula. We ordered fish thali and tiger prawns with cheese gravy. Yum yum yum... We left the restaurant with a smile on our face. Highly recommended.
This place is like an hidden gem in candolim.
The decor is super funky with graffiti on the wall and a retro red scooter. A nicely maintained classy place.
I wanted to try some authentic goan food for dinner so I ordered:
Special soi prawns: Perfectly cooked prawns cooked in a coconut based gravy. This was absolutely delicious.
Fish curry with steam rice: spicy King fish curry with basmati rice served as a perfect combo.
I had one of the best dinner experience here.
Great all the way, classy interiors, lovely bar, warm welcome and quick service.
We walked in rather late on a weekend, the kitchen was about to close but still the server was very attentive and guided us through. May be we got a little excited and over ordered.
- stuffed crabs : this was nice, albeit a little spicier than expected
- tisriya masala : amazing taste, must have !
- fish masala : good surmai, unique gravy
- fat Goan rice : different, interesting. Can be given a shot.
Happy we walked in and tried a new place without any recommendations from friends. Now I have a place I can recommend. Paid about 500pp without drinks and dessert.
You havenāt tasted Goanese cuisine if you havenāt eaten here. Very lightly crowd but amazing lip smacking Goan cuisine. Chef Diego stirs up an amazing taste leaving the taste lingering in your mouth of Soe prawns (signature dish of the chef), warm poee (Goan bread), sol kadhee, alle belle (crepe roll with jaggery & coconut filling). Service is extremely courteous and Hospitable. Must visit- Soi Goanese cuisine, opp taj holiday village, candolim beach
Fantastic place for Goan food... tried quite a few starters and they were amazing ...stuffed squid is a must try..would definitely recommend this place and will surely be back.
Authentic goan food love it
Goan chilli and xacutti really love it
Service is also good and friendly
Only issue is no kids menu but for adults excellent
This place has some great food on the menu and the staff recommendations were absolutely on point. Tried the prawn peri peri and chicken xacuti, both were finger licking good. Special mention for Ajmal who recommend these dishes.
A local Goan food place which is located almost at the end of busy candolim road. This was my second visit and the place didn't disappoint. It's a beautifully done place which has a fine dine setup. They serve some authentic Goan delicacies. we ordered for Fish curry, chicken cafreal, Poi and some fruit based mocktails. everything except for Fish curry was up to the mark. The service is prompt and the place is very neat and tidy. A lovely experience here.
We love love love Soi!Ā
Also found this place when we visited Goa few years back....on recommendation of friends, went here for dinner (since it was close to the hotel we were staying at). Loved the food, staff and the place (ended up eating there multiple days on the last trip). Fast forward two years, we went back and nothing has changed. We love this place, we ate here again multiple times and even got take-away one night! The staff are great, friendly and efficient as always. The food was great in flavor....we have tried it all - rawa fry fish, caphreal, prawn dangre, balchao (too spicy for me, my husbands favorite), tisreche sukhem (my all time fav with some Goan bread). You must also try the Prawn Paozines!!!! OMG, these little bad boys are finger-licking good:):) Go to Soi, you wont regret it. The chef is local, he knows his Goan cuisine! Thank you for opening this place for travelers like myself who long for great homemade food when we visit home.
We went to Soi for dinner as it was well rated and close to where we were staying . The place was packed and we waited for our table outside where we were served the drinks. There was no system to take a note of people in waiting and we realized this when people kept walking and sitting inside while we kept waiting for our turn š
Eventually we got a table , the ambiance was good and the service was average. The food was ok . We ordered starters which were not that great - moong salad and Goan chilli paneer . The main course was better - the xacutti was decent . Overall a cozy place with good ambiance and average food. Pankjesh Sharma
Located right outside Taj village, this place offers goan food at reasonable price. The prawn baluchi was nice. The prawn kismoor turned out to be a bit of a dissapointment because it was made with dried prawns. Even the veg baluchi chops were nice. The moong Ros (daal cooked in coconut oil) was different. We tried the tamdi bhaaji which is basically a red colored spinach family saag. If you are a Bengali you might relate to this dish as 'laal saag bhaja'. We tried the Goan pao, and it went well with the prawn baluchi. Bebinka, the sweet dish stole the show. If you are looking for a neat, less crowded place for Goan cusines, this place will not disappoint.
Me & a couple of friends with their children visited this place because (a) we wanted some quintissentialĀ Goan food (b) a nice sit-down place to enjoy it at (c) and some place where their kids could be comfortable. While we ordered away at the Vindaloos, Vodkas, Feni n Fish, the kids suddenyl craved for Fries and Pizza. Of course, not on the menu. While our attendant was a bit perplexed as to what to do about that, one quick call to the manager and explaining the situation had him obliging without batting an eyelid - luckily for them they have multiple outlets and kitchens he could source it from. But as soon as our food arrived, the kids got their orders too and were only too happy! And when they're happy (and there's Prawns n Feni) well... everyone is happy. The food is pretty decent, but sometime the courteousness of the staff and their willingness to go an extra mile to keep customers smiling goes way beyond the quality of the meal! Thank You, Soi!
Too good Goan food, Goan music, ambiance,
Everything is to 5 star rating.
Staff is very cool n friendly.
Supeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr
Fantastic ambience with excellent decor and great service. Food is authentic Goan and tastes incredibly good. No visit to Goa can ever be complete without a visit to Soi.
If you want to have a taste of authentic Goan cuisine, in a relaxed, cozy ambience, then Soi is the place for you! With 2 outlets - one in Panjim and one in Candolim (which is the one we visited) - this casual dining eatery must be on your list when in Goa. We started off with some cool cocktails which were quite decent and refreshing. The starters of Chicken Cafreal and Veg Balchao Chops were quite spicy, yummy and full of typical Goan flavors. For main course, we ordered a veg gravy, a chicken side dish (Chicken Xacutti, I think), local Goan rice and a bread basket which had three types of freshly baked breads - Poi, Katrey & Pao.
The food was sumptuous, filling and satisfyingly authentic in taste & flavor. But, if you are someone who can't have spicy food, then I suggest you take the waiter's recommendation, as most dishes of the Goan cuisine contain local spicy masalas.
This is my third visit to the place and each time the experience has been consistent. If you are looking out for an authentic Goan cusine in a place that is away from the crazy crowd of north Goa then this is a place adding on to your list.
Food recommendations chicken cafreal, Goan fish curry. Also don't miss out the sol Kadi a refreshing cool drink to get you started.
Loved it. The food, the decor, the service. Will certainly go back there. I tried the cauliflower and cashew caldin, was delicious. We got to sample some authentic Goan cuisine.
Small fine dining eating outlet right next to SinQ. Unlike the other restaurants where the place is mostly crowded and loud, this place brings in a lot of cultural ambiance and music in a more calm decor.
We tried the Prawns pulao which for me was very bland, Prawns masala pao which was my favourite, golden fried prawns, crab masala, kulfi and fenny mocktail.
Overall a pretty decent food and drinks with excellent service hand down.
Soi located in the same premises that hosts the all popular sinq night club is one of the best places in this part of Goa to have a taste of the local cuisine - the place has neatly done interiors with a mix and match of things and a decent seating to spend quality time with family while we enjoy some delicious food.
Coming to the food this is the pace to be for anyone wishing to try a majority of the Goan dishes such as Xacuti,Balchao, and the delectable rawa fish fry.
My suggestion is to try their shark Xacuti with plain rice or any choice of flavoured rice.
The prices of items are slightly on the upperside but still all that matters is good food and good things come at a price.
Located just in front of Vivanta by Taj Holiday Village, Goa. Athuntic Goan food serve here. We have had Chicken peri peri, Chicken cafereal, Goan prawn curry and all were amazing. Excellent ambiance. Live music. Amazing cocktail. Must visit.
Awesome food , great service , lovely atmosphere and relaxing music. All that you hope for in a hotel . The pork chilly is the best thing at this place .
The beef roast and beef chilly is like heaven at your doorstep
Soi is like a blessing in the highly over-rated North Goa (the calangute to candolim stretch). If there is anything like authentic Goan food, you will find it here for sure. Pictures will tell you about the delightful experience I had.
GREAT GOAN CUISINE
The food was really good and service was perfect!!! If you are looking for Goan food it's best place to dine. We tried many local places like fisherman's clove and so on but couldn't felt any authenticity in food , the price is not so high. Really worth it
Very nice ambiance peaceful and very good staff they know what hospitality means
We r pure vegetarian so first we thought we should go or not but we felt happy at last
Nice food
We tried salad sprouts too good healthy
Appetiser we tried Okara filled with coconut
Ask for home made pickle they don't serve anything with it but it's good to have power pickle with it
Mocktail of the day is too good
We tried virgin mogito
Thanks
I loved everything about Soi. They serve the authentic Goan food. The food is tasty, ambience is good, staff is courteous and it's still not very heavy on your pocket. We had pork chorizos, chicken xacutti, Goan fish curry with roti and naan. A must visit place.
Being a goan , it was the best Goan food ive ever had, everything was made beautiful. The flavours just burst in your mouth. I had orders the chicken xacuti, chicken sukem, ambot tik , the unpolished rice, chonak rawa fry. Everytime I go to Goa now , il be going there for sure.
The BEST PLACE for GOAN FOOD. This place is way better than Mums Kitchen even though it's not so raved about but it's a MUST GO if you wanna have authentic Goan food. And completely worth the costing.
Have been to this place twice and have decided that every time i go goa, this place is must visit. Vegetarians please give it a skip, for non -vegetarians this place is heaven, must try their stuffed crabs, peri peri squids and fish curry rice..
Its an absolute fine dining experience and one will not be disappointed..
This place is a fine dining experience. The ambience is really nice with antique items used as wall decoration.
The service very nice and the waiters very cordial.
However, being a place that is advertised as a seafood place I would say it misses the mark. The fish and prawns we ordered was old and not fresh. The flavours were good but nothing that was pleasing which could make me go back there again.
Was there today and the place is beautifully done up. Considering its coming up from the house of *SinQ* the place had its SOP in place and so did the food. The food did not disappoint one bit, if you are looking for authentic Goan food. This is the place to be. PERIOD.
Very good experience, the dinning room at the first floor is decorated with old ustensile and goan artcrafts, and the vegetation around the house is luxuriant.
After having the piri piri prawns for appetizer we attacked the serious part and it was in our case a Xec-Xec crab. It took us 40 min to eat it (for 2), a lot of fun and it was succulent!!! To sweeten this we drank some Sol Kari and after some caramel pudding and bebinca for dessert they offered us some local digestive.
No wrong note for this lunch.

If you're in Goa near calangute, this is a must try restaurant for authentic goan cuisine. Great ambience, delicious food & courteous staff! Solkadhi and tivall is awesome.. Enjoy ur food with goan music š.. Peaceful place.. Must try.. Stuff crab škeep it up soi..
There are places that serve good food and there are places that bring together all the right elements. The place, the music, the menu, the service, the food and the drinks. It just all came together for us here. The prawn buns were reminiscent of baos and were very special. The crab starter was really good. We also ordered fried king fish, dried prawns were nice but may not be to everyone's taste. The chicken cafereal(SP?) was nice and spicy. Anthony is very cheerful and welcoming. He accommodated some fussy orders and was very attentive. We ordered Feni based drinks which got a mixed response from the table. I'd recommend that you taste a bit of Feni before ordering a drink. The bartender was nice and accommodating as well. Since we had consumed a lot of starters, we did not have an elaborate main course but the prawn curry was average. I'd think that the dishes that they do exclusively are the ones to go after. Overall a very good experience and should be planned when looking for a nice long and laid back evening.
Our last and best meal in Goa. A meal to remember. Great fine dining restaurant with a lovely ambience, extremely polite staff and food you'll remember.
Caldo Verde soup- best soup I've had in a while.
A paneer starter - very tasty, but we didn't catch the suble Konkan flavours in it.
Goan masala dal with rice - heavenly.
Caramel Pudding -very rich and heavenly.
Won't miss this place when I'm in Goa next.
The restaurant Soi is above SinQ night club. Probably this is the reason we found the restaurant sparsely crowded at 2100 hrs - peak season time. However , our quest for exotic food aided by good reviews brought us to this place.
The menu was so tempting we decided to have a full 3 course meal. Started with sea food soup, main course of soi prawns , chicken cafreal with bread basket and finished with bebinca. Every dish was worth it's price. The soi prawns were more than amazing and we did mention this to the chef. Bebinca with ice cream was a perfect way to finish an awesome meal.
A must visit place for foodies.
Great food. I got some takeaway. Had their house special prawns. What a delight and the massive crab xec xec. Soft and succulent. Along with some Goan bread. Brilliant food. Amazing service. Great music too. If possible can you please pass on the message to the entertainers that I witnessed the best version of angie I've ever heard on the 4th of December 2016. Thank you.
I was looking forward to doing since it opened last year but sadly I was disappointed. They claimed to serve authentic Goan food but it was sort of adapted for the tourists. We had the prawn danger which was as thin as a bhakri.
The staff was courteous. The ambiance was good. Cannot really rate the food as I don't have a comparison as it was my first Goan meal. I liked the food. Overall the place is worth trying out.
P.S. I'm a vegetarian
Was looking for authentic Goan food and I wasnt disappointed.. Tried Soi Prawns as a starter and Goan curry with some local fish and rice.. it was amazing.. I would highly recommend this restaurant...
Nice restaurant, lovely food...the lobster was a bit small, meat was tender and the rice items was nice, very nice ambiance with good service
Excellent food and service . We like to try out the local cuisine rather than eat the same stuff irrespective of where we are . Zomato led us to Soi for Goan cuisine . Although the setup looks upscale the prices are more than reasonable . Service was impeccable . Now for the food . Luckily this served only Goan food and not the smorgasbord of Indian, Chinese , continental etc. I had pomfret rawa fry and mutton sukka . Both were lip smacking . My family had vegetarian dishes , one was a dal and other was pineapple in mustard gravy . Both were good.
There was live music and they were very good . All in all a lovely experience away from the din and bustle of the regular goa.
Soi is quite an interesting place even though the location is nothing great and parking surely is a hassle. But this place has some toothsome delicacies to serve with amazing cocktails.
A must visit when in Goa but do take your driver along.
Not a huge fan of goan food . Visited soi and candolim Goa for experience after reading amazing reviews .
The place is located just opposite taj village resorts .
Had macefrel cutlet and it's was good .
Ambience was good though the place was somehow empty when we visited .
Super place opposite the Taj Village. Must have the fish curry + Teesriya Masala + Poi + Bhangda Fry + Prawn Potato Cutlet
Avoid the Prawn balchao it's too sweet!
Well priced and super Goan meal
One of the few places in north Goa where you get traditional goan food. A must visit whenever you are in and around north Goa. This place is quite easy to find in Candolim area.. Near Sinq nightclub.
We ordered pomfret racheado, prawns kismoor, surmai rawa fry and tisrya sukhem alongwith watermelon and jalapaeno margharita and beer. Hadn't tasted such fresh fish since long. The rachaedo masala was delectable and left us wanting for more (lil spicy though).. Both prawns and tisrya were fabulous. Typical traditional goan taste which I loved :).. Had bebinca for dessert. That wasnt great I would say..
All in all a fabulous place to have fish.. Will visit again next time we are in Goa..
SOI, a very decent and classy place to have authentic Goan food in North Goa, easy to locate, right on the road. On first floor, with the glass walls on two sides, the place is bright with natural light. Colourful painted wall depicts the culture and festivals of Goa with the long Bar Counter with ample stock adds to the lively ambiance. Bright red scooter, which is prevalent with goan lifestyle is placed near the entrance. The wooden floor again gives the feel of goan lifestyle.
We were in Goa recently so went there for lunch and enjoyed the traditional goan food.
STUFFED SQUIDā¦.a very popular seafood delicacy with goanās done with goan spices, vinegar, onion, cook the Squid and stuffing separately then filled and cook for few minutes was relished thoroughly. STUFFED BHENDIā¦..stuffed with grated coconut and spices.
TAMDI BHAJIā¦..red spinach cooked in goan style. PRAWN KISMOORā¦.Dry prawns done with coconut and spices. GOAN FISH CURRY with RED RICEā¦.Goan style fish curry made with fresh coconut, tamarind and spices was delicious.
