Fine dine place with very good ambience. At first looking at the menu feels overpriced however the quality n quantity both justifies the price. Place is inside Jiva Resort. Greenery around the resort makes it a good place to spend quality time here with family or friends and cherish the food. Must try their grill section. Recommend chicken in banana leaf.
In August 2023, we indulged in a delightful two-day retreat at the enchanting Jiva Resort. The culinary experience was nothing short of spectacular, with an exquisite array of dishes that left our taste buds dancing with joy. The restaurant's ambiance was a sight to behold, boasting warm wooden interiors and luxuriously comfortable seating.
Nestled in a picturesque setting, Jiva Resort offers an idyllic escape for those seeking natural beauty and serenity. Without a doubt, it's a place we wholeheartedly recommend for your next getaway. And, to add to the charm, we had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Ali, the restaurant's manager, whose exceptional hospitality and warm demeanor made our stay even more memorable.
The food was really delicious, we had Chicken Nawabi Butter Masala and Plain Naan (2 pcs are served) 😋 Its slightly on the expensive side, and they charged 18% GST in total which is not the case with other Restaurant in an around! The washroom is immaculately clean and hygienic! 👍
Awesome food. The restaurant is has nice interiors with wood and seating is comfortable. Tandoori Chicken was tasty and flavourful. The biriyani is one of the finest in Meghalaya I had. It is located in a scenic place. Also a recommendable place to stay. The garden is well maintained and there is also a children's play area.
Love every bit of my visit. From the environment around. The various decorations are very eye catching. The food was upto the mark. No complaints when it comes to quality and quantity. The price very much justifies the quality with quantity, the wait time depends on how hungry you are because it will feel like a lifetime if you're very hungry but just 15-20 minutes on any other day. Would very much recommend, hands down.

A beautiful decorated & well maintained restaurent in Mawsami area . Ambience is wonderful & so is the taste . Tried North Indian food as well as Chinese all was awesem . Gulaab Gaalib didn’t worth but brownie with icecream was good .
Jiva Grill is situated along with the Jiva Resort near Sohra. Though the boards for the restaurant & the resort are placed separately on the Sohra road, they are at the same location. A decent place with a great ambience this side of Shillong. Worth a visit for the ambience. The food was okay, though as is usual, the gravy was more or less the same for most of the vegetarian dishes. The toilets were immaculately clean, as is the case in all the Jiva outlets I've visited.
The place is situated within the Jiva Resort. They have maintained a wooden look, although the construction is modern. The food is okay, not as good as other Jiva restaurants, to be honest, but better than the restaurants in the area. It is a little pricey, again, for the area and also for the chain.
The staff is helpful and polite. We reached here after our double decker bridge hike, and were drained. They served fast and hot and we loved it!
Perfect set up to enjoy the winter!!! Spacious and quite a variety in the menu. However for fish items they use only basa which was a let down. Service is quite prompt too. Must visit if you are in Cherrapunji...around 20 mins drive from the double decker root brige entrance. Options available in chicken,fish and pork.

Ambience, food and service all would rate 10/10. The food was delicious and of very high quality. The resort is beautiful, picture perfect! Service was excellent. Washrooms are clean and well maintained.

Food was not up to the mark. It was quite reasonable though. Hygiene is totally prioritised in there.

They served one of the tastiest foods I ever had. Portion size is great, taste is awesome. We ordered banana leaf grilled fish and chilly garlic noodles. Both were great. They had chilled drinks. Overall a very good experience.
Best food. Scenic views. Huge garden.
