Feels a lot better place gives u the feeling you are some where in london or any western country and local kashmiri tracks playing in the back ground gives u amazing feeling and vibe...its a must visit place and beautifully organised by the makers but the tarrif is on the hugher side belive me if there will be cut off of 40%in the tarrif menu there is no bettar place than this...It is partinent to mention that the crux is that if u r promoting kashmiri culture you have a social obkigation too...If Roohi Ji re strucure the tarrif that will be the leaf on the hat
Lovely ambience a place where you can sit and relax and enjoy your tea..Interiors done beautifully..a serene view and a great place to hangout..Well done Roohi you deserve all the accolades
Well #ChaiJai is quite a nice place to visit. Awsome theme with blend of traditional and modern touch.
Well behaved+professional staff and above all provides a good feel to your taste buds. Super Like
Must visit and feel the Nunchai at #ChaiJaai
Awesome place to visit with traditional kashmiri aroma I loved the way they serve the noon chai in carved samovars and the outside view is also great ....must visit place
Enjoy the traditional Nun chai Chai Chai #chaijaai
I gave a order to them and to be really honest I was surprised by their quick delivery and their service is very good
We had visited Kashmir for the first time and had gone for our first anniversary, we are from Surat (Gujarat). I loved the ambience the staff and view and chai and food everything about this place. I just can’t forget the Mosiac cake I don’t know why it’s not even anywhere on the feedback and their pages it’s out of the world dessert. Don’t miss it. If possible can the chai jaai share their Mosiac cakes picture with my review on their page or somewhere. Or share me then I might post it with my review.
I’m a major tea enthusiast, so this place obviously had to steal my heart. I love the food over there and kahwa is my all time favourite. The ambience is lovely and so is the staff. I absolutely love this place. Also the red velvet cake is a must try!
Chai Jaai literally translates to Tea Room and this quaint little tea room is a must visit in Srinagar. Their kahwa is highly recommended, especially in winters. It's a sweet experience with the servers pouring out the kahwa from samovar into dainty cups for you. Noon chai is another recommendation at Chai Jaai. They offer an interesting variety of Kashmiri breads and cakes to go with your choice of tea - and there is a wide choice of teas available.
Personally, I love the décor of Chai Jaai. There are beautiful ceramic ware on display along with various interesting curios. The walls are adorned with beautiful traditional Kashmiri painting. Chai Jaai overlooks the Jhelum on one side, and makes for the most picturesque tea table.
One of the prettiest cafés to which I have ever been
Decked with knick knacks and so many historical pictures to be seen.
The café in itself is a visual delight
Complimented by a beautiful river side.
The menu is very true to the local taste
And whole theme is very traditionally based.
I tried the kehwa tea with some snacks
Enjoying the ambiance which is very relaxed.
A beautiful café as if something from ones dreams
It deserves my highest praise by all means.
So I visited this place called @chaijaai which in itself is dream come true!
Kashmiri to the core it is with all the hardwork they put in.
The best Kashmiri menu with the amazing blends!! Never dare to miss their HARISSA ONE OF THE BEST I EVER HAD.
I have to applaud the aesthetics and the overall vibe of the place. If I had to write a review regarding how this place looked, it would be a 5/5 and asked for food i ll give 4/5 BUT if asked about value to money i ll give 2/5 because you have to pay 350 Rs for a pot of tea.
OVERALL RATINGS WILL BE 4.5/5 ONLY BECAUSE THEY ARE PRESERVING KASHMIRE CULTURE AND AUTHENTICITY IN MODERN WAY.
A must Visit place if you want to spend Quality time with friends. The Quality of food is simply amazing.I had A special Lavasa pizza at chai Jaai, and it was amazing. The namkeen Chai,Harisa are the other delicious items which you should try out at chai Jaai
The first cafe that I visited when I arrived at Srinagar. Chai Jaai introduced me to my first ever Kahwa. It was heavenly. Had red velvet cake along with it. It was an absolute delightful taste.
Beautiful place overlooking the jhelum. Lovely Fusion of kashmiri and western food. High on flavor and ambience. Kahwa with fresh gulkhand, makai tsot with honey or just English breakfast. Totally worth it❤️
For all the chai lovers, this is just the place for you . Kashmiri Kahwa is a must try. They serve tea and kahwa in the most authentic way. Serving more than 50 variety of tea, this Insta worthy place is just the right place for you. Every corner of the place is beautifully decorated. Red velvet cake , vada pao, chicken pizza, kulcha with chai were delicious. The hospitality is truly amazing. The staff is courteous and will be generous to explain all the preparations made by them. Highly recommended and must visit ❤️
If you wish to spend a peaceful evening in Srinagar then Chai Jaai is a perfect place. They serve amazing Kahwa with a view of Jhelum & Sufi music in the background, which sums up to a perfect evening.
Visited the cafe on christmas and due to the festive it was too crowded.
I recommend you to visit on a normal day. Overall their ambiance was beautiful with tea pots and cups all around. I ordered a Mosaic cake and a pot of kahwa and definitely it was worth it .
Cinnamon roll and Zafran kahwa literally was amazing. It’s a must visit place if you visit Srinagar and wanna try the best Kahwa. Ambience decor is superb as well
Really nice tea shop in Srinagar! The place is stunning on the inside. You go upstairs to see a lovely tea room decorated by intricate murals! The tea is really delicious and the presentation is really true in nature. Space is clean and full of light. The team is super friendly and helpful. Good spot in Kashmir with good vibes!
Had a great experience, I ordered 1 pot of masala tea and pizza, both were damn good in taste.
One must try masala tea over here, as this kind of taste is rare to find in Srinagar.
We visited Chai Jaai for morning breakfast. They have various varieties of tea. The english breakfast was decent and one other unique dish we tried was the Kashmiri breakfast which had Kawa tea ☕, Naan 🫓 and omlette. It can be shared between 3 people.
It was worth visited. Do check this out
What a beautiful place it is.
If you want to have a taste of traditional Kashmiri Kahwah..this place is for you. It serves the best Kahwah with different flavours. This place serves the traditional Sweet and slated Sheeramal also. Apart from this, it serves tea time cakes, pastries, and snacks. Apart from this, you can have breakfast options. The ambience is wonderful. The show-stopper of this place is beautiful crockery. Must visit places if you are in Srinagar.
If you happen to be in Srinagar, please do not miss this place. The prettiest cafe I've ever come across and some great kashmiri chai and some good food.
The USP of Chaai Jaai is it’s lovely ambience with aesthetic vibes and totally insta-worthy.
They serve the authentic Kashmiri noon chai, pink tea, Kahwa, Sheermal, etc that is all the local Kashmiri snacks and chaai.
They also sell lovely tea pots and mugs. They have a small library, you can have your chai with a book. The interior is really amazing but the taste of chai is not superior.
You may find better taste elsewhere easily.
The negative is that they don’t have AC in the scorching heat. In summers during noon, it becomes really difficult especially for tourists to sit and enjoy due to extreme hot weather.
The prices and service are just fine.
But a decent Tea shop to spend some quality time with your friends and loved ones.
Chai Jaai is a tea house located in Srinagar near the Jhelum river bank. The ambiance is beautiful with tea pots and cups all around. The walls are painted with Kashmiri floral art. You can even find books here. But the aircondition was not switched on and it was hot in the first floor.
We ordered the Zafrani Khewa which comes in a Kashmiri pot. The Khewa was amazing and the flavour of Kesar was spot on. Best to be tried with Gulkand. Next we had the Sermal, a Kashmiri biscuit.
Next we had the house made Red Velvet cake. The taste was spot on and fresh. The Masala Tea was great as well.
The outlet needs a little bit of cleanliness from flies which are all over. Also food needs to be touched not with hands. Overall a good experience.
We had kehwa which was amazing.. English breakfast was too good. Interior is picturesque
Amazing place, just amazing!
Must go place in Srinagar.
Great Tea Room in Srinagar.
The assortment of teas are great. The noon chai ( traditional Kashmiri namkeen chai is awesome... it’s pink in colour) The decor is pretty, you overlook the Jhelum Bund( riverside walkway).
Food is okie, standard fare.
Price: expensive.
But worth the visit for chai, conversations and catch ups.
They could have invested in creating a washroom especially for ladies. They share their washroom with another restaurant and it’s not that great.
I like this place very nice and for the menu too, too much nice love it
Lovely place to have some tea, snacks and pastries. It specialises in tea. We tried their noon chai which was amazing, along with some sweet shirmaal bread. We also tried the Uzbeki naan with mutton kheema, roath and walnut fudge. Everything was great. The ambiance was also good. Must try once.
I visited this place in May with my wife. I find this place aesthetic and clean. I ordered a Kahwa combo Sheermal, paneer pakoras with Red Velvet cake. Both were delicious. I highly recommend this place. The main drawback was the washroom; there were none, need to visit Mughal Darbar restaurant washrooms. The ambiance is beautifully decorated with colorful plates.
Not easy to locate. Back side of Mahatta and Co . Very good Kehwa and food . Instagramable place. The art on the walls and the French windows add the glamour quotient.
