I went there last evening - not quite knowing what to expect. To say I was happily and pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. The people there are very polite and genuinely care about your comfort. Since I avoid dairy, I requested for garlic bread to be made using olive oil instead of butter - which they unhesitatingly agreed to - I really appreciate them for this - because very few restaurants do that. The garlic bread was crispy, with just the right amount of crushed garlic. They served it with a spicy dip - made in-house - amazing. The space, garlic, olive oil, and the freshness of the bread was what good, soul food is... the felafel I ordered was amazing too - except I forgot to ask them to toast the pita first (since that is a personal preference - I wouldn’t hold it against them)
What was truly amazing was the hummus - so creamy, so rich - redolent with Mediterranean and Lebanese flavors - in fact, this is one of the very best hummus I have tasted. Kudos to the chef for this one
All in all, a lovely meal. A place I will go to every time I visit Surat.

Awesome variety of menu especially for Lebanese food which is not so commonly found in Surat. Everything I ate was upto the mark. Fancy mocktails & good Italian meal. The staff is very courteous. Over all an amazing dining experience. Very good quality standards.
A new concept store on the university road. The food especially falafels are superb in taste. The sides are awesome too. Staff super friendly and the service was very quick.Overall, a very good concept store.

Ambiance is above average i must say. Walls are beautifully framed and decorated.
And now the food,yes its yummy. Labenese dish are g8,Do try the labneh platter. Or on the lighter side go for garlic pita hummus. Pink Pasta had a good rich taste. Manakish ,similar to pizza is also a great food choice.
My favourite here is the Hungarian paprika rice.
Obviously prices here are little higher, but at the same time quality of food is a level up.

Mouth watering Lebanese food. The hummus was exceptional and so were the platters served. The only issue is that seating isn't very comfortable and the ventilation lacked for some reason.The service was excellent and rates nominal. In conclusion, a good concept café.
Garlic rice and hummus were too good. The ambience was superb and so was the friendliness of the staff along with the service. But the rice seemed to be a bit raw. It may be because of the sunday rush. Overall, a very good café located in vesu.
Love love love food lab! The food is GREAT. The only issue with place is seating arrangements. The seats are really uncomfortable. But the food is incomparable. Lovely.
I love the interiors and the high seating they have... but as a designer I know for sure not everyone enjoys it ! But against the FOOD I bet no-one is gonna complain about the seating! The wooden shelves on the display wall are showstopper !

The falafel platter we called for, the hummus is too good!! for anyone who likes a smooth creamy hummus should surely go here. In the platter, they have these Tabuleh fries which was something different and yummy!
The fries that we ordered were well cooked and crunchy, would surely order them again.

Lovely ambience, great food, such pleasant staff and good location. I guess this is the place i would go to for a casual meet up with good friends or cousins who are picky. From small plates to big they have you covered whatever you feel like eating. I usually go for salads or pita pockets but the pizzas and manakish aren't bad either. A 5 star from me.
The place is quite amazing with good ambeince. The manakish, mocktails,shots with a fusion drink is fabulous. Rates are comparatively reasonable. Outer and inner look is quite appealing.The food with a music is quite happening.

This was my 1st trial for lebanese food. I ordered YushiFuzz for mocktail and lebneh platter for snacks. I loved the presentation of food and mostly the mocktail. They use dried ice for the fog and one of the lab instrument for service. Lebneh platter contain lebneh rolls, dips, salad and garlic pita. The green dip and hummus dip were lovely even the pita. Ambiance was great, the have use the wooden texture and new instruments. One of the I loved was the review wall idea and the staff wearing the lab coat. The seats are quite uncomfortable to sit and little improvement on mocktail taste is required else all is good.
Definitely going again to try new mocktails☺️

This is an excellent place wid a very positive ambience.

This place is quite appealing from outside and also has a great ambience. The food here is also good. In drinks, mojito is really good in taste. For salad, falafel salad is really good and I would recommend if you like Lebanese food. In staters, the classic garlic bread and nachos grand were really good. The margarita pizza and arrabbiata pasta both are delicious. Overall this place is really good.
Been finding a place in the city to get proper Italian style pizza or as they call it manakish. The sizzlers are also worth trying, a good variety of mocktails too.
Best food and staff. Super satisfied! Calm and good ambiance and music. Just perfect as one of the hangout spots. Reasonable rates and lots of varieties to offer.

Have been here more than a couple of times, and i got to say this is one of my favourite places to have food at. James Bond pizza is delicious. I order it frequently and flavoured test tube shots are good too. Apart of over prices, i’d say this place has its charm.

On my several visits here, I've not been disappointed by the food. Great hummus and falafel. Also tried : sizzler, pasta, pizza, nachos and bruschetta; all of which are pretty decent. Could give their drinks a miss though.
The ambience is very casual and calm, the servers even calmer, resulting in very slow service.
Also the seating is very uncomfortable.

Introducing a good Lebanese food to Surat... smart quirky ambience but very inconvenient n uncomfortable sitting on high chair and small tables.... service wasn't great..... food over all was good.. rating is given for food only.... can't say sure short if it's a must go restaurant... if they hv good staff u vl hv a good experience but if they r out of staff or over crowded then don't expect any thing other than food to fill ur empty stomach..... pizza is a must try there and the hummus..... not suitable for a dinner date or a corporate dinner meet.....

Stunning interiors , green wall and sitting arrangement is very nice.. let's talk about food..I ordered saucy fries it was yummy and mix pasta was just awesome. As the name of restaurant food lab feels like we are in chemical laboratory because waiters who work there they wear laboratory white coat. beverages they give in test tube. From chemical reaction I took gypsy mojito (lime and mint combination wins my heart) & it comes in measuring tube..this idea is just fabulous.. food lovers must visit once...

Pizza was over cook so thin crust has became biscuit. Other things like seating and decorum was nice. Looking forward to visit again.

The ambience is very peaceful and cranked up, all at the same time. However, one thing to note is that the seating is not very comfortable.
Regarding the food, I ordered the choco shake, sushi Falafel, and siciliano clay oven pizza.
Choco shake in the menu describes it to have chocolate chips on the top, but apparently there weren't any. So I asked them to provide those separately, which they kindly did :p
Sushi Falafel were pretty bland, but I suppose other Falafels are probably good.
Siciliano pizza was pretty flavorful and savory.

The ambience of the place is lit, for a small space like theirs. The name food lab suggests that the place would have some interesting choices to offer, but it is quite the usual. We were a group of 5 people and the sitting was quite uncomfortable. Apart from that, the food was quite good- we ordered a berry daquiry which was quite interesting, with the fumes coming out like in a sheesha! We ordered the paneer shashlik sizzler which was indeed yummy and some pasta which were alright.
Overall, it is a decent place to be, with decent food!

I Visited the restaurant with my friends . The staff and Surrounding actually let you feel to be in the lab .The innovations in service is impressive. I like the food taste and presentation. The only thing I didn't like was sitting arrangements although quite fancy.. but the comfortless for longer period is still not there . The elders were juggling to get comfortable on high chairs. For new experience and tasty food one can't be wrong with this place.

Okay, so this is my first visit to well known restaurant in town because of its uniqueness. My first impression was like yea it's something different. When I entered the restaurant I found it a bit small. Tables were definitely not comfortable for all age groups. I ordered cheese manakish and moroccan falafel. I got my order served a bit late as it was sunday. Food tastes good. Price were little high. Staff were friendly and helpful in choosing best item. Ambience was good. My rating for this restaurant is GOOD.
Nice place to be in the evening.... The decor doesn't light up in the afternoon. The seating is nice gives a look of a pub in the front. The back tables could have been a bit bigger.. Had Manakeesh, a thin base Pizza and Hungarian paprika rice..Purplebread19 , both tasted good and were light on stomach!!.

One of the finest places in the city! It is moderately priced for the food it offers. The thin crust pizza, falafel bites, bruschetta and a test tube shot! Everything was so good that you end up eating more than your hunger. What I like the most about such places are their interiors and the way of their presentation. It is worth your money for sure!

he Wooden Industrial Interior spaciously occupying the areas was a heart winning sign.
The corner walls fill in shelves with slates, journals, frames and a lot more things that certainly give you a laboratory feel.
Keeping the ambiance and the staff behavior in mind, this place manages to cover the negative marking. 4/5
Nice place with good interiors. Tried pasta and falafel platter. Both the items were good. Did not try much as we were short of time but planning to visit soon as have heard the sizzler is quite interesting here.

Well, it's one of the best restaurants I've been to in Surat ( TGB and Taj not included ). Garlic peta bread and hummus is the best of the lot. We tried something like a pizza on a peta bread. It was decent enough. We tried garlic bread as well. It wasn't that great and you can give it a miss. We tried sizzler as well, and I didn't eat sizzler so don't know how it turned up. But yeah, from the presentation it was looking delicious.
The only problem I faced there was the seating. The seats weren't comfortable and the place is too cozy. It seems as if they've tried to adjust more than the place can hold.
Staff was pretty good, well mannered and knowledgeable.
P.S. I would like to revisit the place.

I am really happy that finally surat is coming up with some really fancy restaurants and since a long time I have seen people giving reviews about food lab. So I visited this place yesterday night.
The food lab is a Mexican, Italian and Lebanese restaurant.
I personally enjoyed the place.
The restaurant is rather trendy and it has wonderful interiors. It has a low lit and wonderful playlist. It is bit small And packed. Sitting is little un comfortable.
Staff/ service- they are very slow even for taking orders. We had to ask them thrice for taking the order. Waiting is 20 - 25 mins.
Food- we ordered alfredo, food fab special, moonlight and choco shake.
Overall the quality was just average. I didn't like food lab special. Quantity and quality is not appropriate for the price they ask for.

We went here for lunch and were surprised to see it was fully packed on a Tuesday afternoon.
The place has a nice feel to it.
We ordered a mix pasta, a regular Falafel and the barbecue sizzler.
The mix pasta was very good with an almost perfect consistency of the sauce.
Then came the sizzler. I was slightly disappointed with it because the sauce on top was really sour. The rice also had kaaju which would have blended better with a more asian dish probably and the paneer was not very soft.
Although I would like to add that it still didn't really taste bad, it probably wasn't meant for my tastebuds.
The falafel was really good. It was very fresh and the hummus was perfect. The pita was soft and the vegetables crunchy.
The food was delivered in time and the prices were also fair.
Would love it if the waiters and the manager learned to smile that's all.

Liked the place. The food is good. Ambience nice. Service pretty warm and friendly. Cleanliness needs to do a lot of dusting here which is important part of maintenance. Worst part ...washroom is not available. Food and service will cover your points though... we suggest to improve on hygiene factor.

To be honest the waiters in lab costume was something new I saw there, and the place is good in terms of ambience. Now talking about food I would say it was good the hummus sauce I think could be much better and more original, otherwise the food taste good. I would recommend this for a casual meet.
