Two days back with a team of 5 members went to Marriott( The Urban Blend). We went for Chennai vs Hyderabad #IPL match.
Both veg and non-veg Items are delicious and especially french fries better than KFC.
Serving and treating people is also good, particular “Pavan” who served food for us is very kind and polite.
Nice place to hangout with friends.
Only i felt bad is after sometime they switched off AC. Being such a five star restaurant they should have done that, rest all good.
Loved it beyond imagination! Every single item has such a great visual appeal followed by the mesmerizing taste! You'll look at it and expert a certain taste but it'll be much better than the expectations, we had the buffet and although the each items seems tiny, it's extremely satisfying and we felt our bellies full. And the service is excellent, so thrilled by the experience...😃🍽️🍴😄👌

I have visited this place with my colleagues few days back for a lunch buffet. Ambiance is simply amazing and hospitality is top notch.
Coming to food, they have a great spread of buffet for both vegetarians and non vegetarians, started with amazing chicken soup with shredded chicken pieces and pepper. Murgh tikka and and fish were too good. In veg, Achari paneer tikka and Gobhi manchurian was the 🌟. They served amazing pizza and white sauce pasta too, salads spread were also amazing. Egg white salad, nachos and many other options were included.
Main course: Usually I skip this part but as the spread was quite tempting, so I tried it and it didn't disappointed. Chicken garlic was really amazing and complementing really with naan. Mutton was good too, pieces were really tender. Biryani was decent too.
Dessert: I was completely full with all those amazing starters and main course but ice cream is something for which I always save some space in my stomach. Chocolate brownie and pastries were decent too.
Overall we had an amazing time at this place and loved the buffet spread. This place is value for money and highly recommended to all the food lovers.

Urban Blend is located in Holiday Inn Express Hotel. I've recently visited the place with one of my friend. The Ambiance of this place is awesome. The price was also reasonable and the food was worth it.
We tried their buffet which is priced at 750. The starters, main course and deserts was too good. They're serving almost 68+ items. I'm looking forward to try the other food items as well.
Our team went to urban blend great food and great service we enjoined our great time there we have plan to go again and reasonable price and great place salad buffet is also great and Indian desert was very nice and I like mutton in non veg clean and prefect fish plater was very great

Was here in chennai last weekend because of some work and was craving for food and landed in this place through zomato. As this place offers some great food in decent pricing.

Service was on point, as the waiters were very courteous.
Had their lunch buffet, as it offers a huge spread of items and every thing was very delecious from the salads to the deserts. Dum ka murgh was too mainstream and the paneer butter masala was scrumptious to eat and not to forget to mention their ginger chicken was good too. The only thing that should be improved was their mutton masala. Was not able to taste all of their deserts, but ones which i had tasted were great.
Overall a great place to visit.
Great ambience and food. Customer service is on point and friendly. Will come again when I am here at Mahindra World City. Clean place and well maintained as well.

The Indian food here is amazing. Just landed and came straight to the hotel and went to this restaurant for some food. Severely sleep deprived, the chicken soup woke me up. Definitely coming back here to try some more of the sushi and pasta.

Cliches are cliches for a reason, and perfectionism is at the heart of this easy-to-miss little quaint newcomer. just entering the hotel, I headed straight for the infamous restaurant with supposedly great sushi, which since the time I landed in Chennai, my friends spoke about it in a mysterious albeit boastful manner wherein they found a great place and its still a bit masked from the common man. First impression of matched tables contain surprisingly lengthy menus with variety for every palate to tick off everything from delicate sushi like the volcano to juicy, tender burgers.
While I tried the risotto alla pollo with perfectly cooked arborio rice with juicy chicken and the sushi(volcano) which had the best mayo and crab fusion,my friends went for Indian and had some mutton pepper fry which, I always say, if a mutton is cooked tender, the chef should always be a positively appraised.
After or during a long busy day, a cozy ambiance with delectable food with variety feels like a beautiful welcome for your body and soul.
Overall a very nice restaurant. Buffet not bad but the dishes from the menu are better. It serves alcohol, which in these places is difficult to find.
I had a delicious chicken salad here which i have not tasted before in other restaurants...rate is high can reduce the price...ambience is good😊
As there is no better option than this place I can say it's the best restaurant in Mcity. Been here thrice and I haven't seen more than 3 or 4 people there. Overpriced because Taste and quality is not upto the mark, as the restaurants of Holiday Inn are well known for their food standards. One Can go here cos food will not disappoint you but don't expect for the best.

Just amazing. Loved all the dishes. Tried buffet and felt like it was worth the price. The variety of dishes are just mouth watering and delicious.

I have stayed in many branches of holidays inn's and I never had a liking for their food. However this place was pretty much good ( maybe coz my tastebuds are dead by eating the same food in my office)
A place where they had just one waiter ( all in all alagu raja) who took care of tending 10 tables. Only after some 15 tables got filled, the second all in all alagu Raja waiter came. I just wish they hire more ppl here
Coming to the food, it was surprisingly good!! I wish they give some proper starters for veg, as they just gave a fried cheese finger ( seriously?) We had the pasta with vegetable sauce ( which tasted like rasam at start), channa masala and the usual noodles pulav Bla Bla Bla
This was also one of the few restaurants that had more vegetarian options than non vegetarian ones ( only 3 to 4 non veg sides compared to more than 7 veg sides.. Yaay)

One would think that eating at least once a day at the same location for several weeks gets boring very quickly, as the menu holds no more secrets. That is not the case at 5 Spice, where I have been coming almost daily for the past month, while staying for a business trip at the adjacent hotel).
I am always excited to enter the restaurant: I know that Mr. Vamsi and his team will be very welcoming after my day at work at a nearby company. I also know that Chef Rajesh will artfully prepare and present the food (and more often than not, he will also come say 'hi' and brush up his French). The menu has a wide range of options, from Indian to Western, and fusion, both veg/non veg, for endless combinations of dishes.
The lunch buffet (also sometimes available at dinner time) offers a variety of dishes.
If only wine could be offered with the meal, my rating would be 5! What a shame the liquor license does not apply to the restaurant, where a glass of wine would nicely complement the food!
Note: I hear there is a new menu coming out soon, but I will not be here to try it. Come check it out!

Had an opportunity to taste their lunch buffet on two occasions, both times I came out lipsmaking. Though the spread is huge had items across various cuisines, the few stood out.
Perfected food in every aspect from veg to non-veg. We had gone there for lunch buffet. initially started with a soup perfect taste with the necessary ingredients and i wanted to have another but restricted myself as i had to try others dishes also. Every cuisine was there...I started with breads then went to rice and the amazing pasta also the biryani was mouth watering i went for 2-3 serving...the Paneer dishes were so creamy and was so soft that i felt like they were melting in my mouth..finally with the rest was with the desserts..their varieties for mouse and cakes and ice creams were toooo many and finally ended with ice cream.
Last night I had a great dinner experience in this restaurant. Food was soo tasty. Excellent service. Good hospitality. North indian dishes and international dishes everything is fine. Overall it's good restaurant.
Fantastic place for Lunch and dinner.. In addition they also serve excellent quality of Continental, Chinese, and Indian food. kebabs are so delicious, The location is major advantage of this place.. we had been to this place with my colleagues who are regular visitors here and they kept on saying that this place has maintained excellent quality.. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Chengalepattu Mahindra world city area..

Starts from starter ( Aloo Tikki, Chick Lolly pop) and continued with the main spreads. Very decent place to hangout. Very friendly service etc.. I will come back 5 Spice !!!!

Restaurant at Holiday Inn Express. Very close to our office, we naturally wanted to try. Lunch treat. the interiors are good. but when we went, the chairs and tables were fixed, they can't be moved around - that was surprising. the buffet was good, though the varieties were less when we went. can't it's a little costly too.
Nice work on the presentation. The ambience is good. The welcoming attitude staff serves politely. The food has taste, good quality i can say. Leaving at iris court the only good option in the nearby area. The interiors are newly designed and add grace to the over all. Experience.
Good Chinese food.
During a visit to Mahindra world city for some work, a colleague took me to this restaurant in Holiday Inn. At first i thought it would be an expensive affair. the interiors were done up pretty well, barring the fixed tables. The servers were quite courteous, dressed well. I could observe the chef and manager interacting frequently with all the diners. Tried the lunch buffet, though there was a limited spread, i was impressed by the variety, with a mix of north, south and western cuisine. Overall an excellent experience.
I keep traveling to Chengalpet on work every month or two. Happen to visit this restaurant in Holiday Inn. It's been 3 to 4 visits now and I notice that the food quality has improved. No suprise when I got to know that there is a new chef. The buffet lunch was good. The surprise was the special menu for the evening. The tenderloin was excellent. Would recommend this place especially for the a la carte

I was with colleagues on my way to a business trip to Chengalpattu, and we were short on time for lunch so were looking at a quick but hygienic place for a bite. The idea was to get into the food court of Mahindra World City, when we droved past the Holiday Inn Express and decided to try it out.
They have this attached restaurant called 5 Spice (no relation to the famous chain of Chinese ones in Mumbai I'm guessing!) and we decided to have the buffet on offer. The seating is limited, the decor sparse and there was a small buffet setup in one corner - so small that there was a queue of people waiting to help themselves and the thought in my mind was that anywhere I had to queue up for a buffet (like at Indian weddings :-) was not going to end well.
Surprise, surprise, every single dish - and there were hardly 10 in the main course, and a couple of salads and desserts - were simply superlative in terms of taste. And this was seconded by my colleagues. We actually ended up over-eating (so much for frugal lunches to avoid feeling sleepy on workdays :-). The best dishes were the chicken biryani and the mutton curry - this coming from someone who avoids mutton (but not other red meat) usually, should be huge. Even the two desserts were pretty nice, as were the two salads on offer.
I complimented the chef, and my suspicions were proved right in that this was a standalone restaurant and not part of the Holiday Inn group.
In an area like mahindra world city, this restaurant is a bliss! The staff is very courteous and the chef comes over to your table for a personal touch. Crispy lamb with hummus was amazing! 5 spice delight pizza is definitely a delight and for desserts I had molten lava. The service was swift and this restaurant is totally value for money. I will definitely come back again and try more variety of food.
The place was a real surprise when it came up at the most unexpected venue - Mahindra World City. the hotel is really bright, neat and posh. the designs and colors are really differently patterned. i did like this hotel on the very first impression. i went there for non- veg buffet. they had a wide range of dishes to try but the major drawback was that the re-filling of the items that were over were extremely slow while the items were substituted for some other dish instead of the same item. the options were really less for veg-buffet as my vegetarian friends had to keep staring at me most of the times and sit idle. the rates are neither cheap nor costly. a very nice place for a comfortable hangout :)

Lunch buffet was great. Service is fantastic. When I complained that there were less options for the vegetarians we were offered 2 Veg dishes of our choice out of the A’lacarte Menu for free.
This place is the right choice for the food lovers in Mahindra World City.
