This place serves very tasty dishes and they are presented really well. Have visited a few times with my family and relatives. My grandpa just loves the Lung fung soup from here. All the cuisines are tasty and well- prepared. The sizzling brownie with icecream is a must try. Their service was great as well.
One of the best place in the city to hang around with family and even friends. Their starters are worth giving a try as they are not just yummy but also available in different sauces.
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special bar drinks, the cucumber/cilantro infused vodka martini and the K&P Aquarium was great (even took photos so we could try to replicate at home).

Sometimes alternative turns out to be better than original idea.
We decided to go to newly opened restaurant as from outside it was looking nice and our experience is newly opened restaurant always serves good food and service is excellent. Somehow we were not able to go there and then we landed in Monis as a second choice!
Monies we had visited long back and memory was not so good, however we were famished so decided it is nearest one, so let's go.
When we entered we were in for a pleasant surprise as interiors were changed and looking nice.
Before even finalizing starter we ordered masala papad which was nicely garnished with freshly cut tomatoes, onions and coriander.
Starter Veg danadari(makai) tiki came in a traditional mini handcart and taste was matching with all decoration.
Next starter cheese chili toast was perfectly toasted with right amount of chili !
In main, we had veg kadai, veg chaman masala with laccha paratha and butter fulaka and all were delicious.
I will say Monis turned out to be blessing in disguise and definitely changed our opinion. Reasonably priced (1870 for 6 )and quality of food and service is ‘ value for money’, so worth a visit!

Monis is a huge place in thane. It has a beautiful ambiance and a large fish tank to give you company while having food.
Veg wontons soup and corn tikki was delicious. Sizzling Chinese sizzler was good too. French fries had a good presentation style but lacked salt the only thing which was disappointing.

Paneer Reshmi Kebab - dear vegetarians, I'd prefer veg over non-veg anytime and please do not listen to those chicken lovers. The reshmi delicacy is a perfect appetizer for paneer lovers. Small triangular soft juicy pieces of paneer cooked in tandoor in cashew coated marination.
Veg Gold Finger - deep fried bread fingers with a light mixture of veggies served with cute lil sesame seeds on top.

I had seen a listing of this restaurant on Zomato and read the reviews of people praising it for serving good food for years. I thought of ordering something for Nizami Chicken Roll which was a chef specialty.
Nizami Chicken Roll: Being a chef specialty I was expecting it to be good and it exceeded my expectations. Size of the roll was so big that it was cut in 2 pieces to get delviered. Roti was soft and tasty. Inside it had chicken pieces with sauces and some vegetables. The chicken was tender and the taste was amazing. It was one of the best rolls I have had. Full of flavors. It came along with green chutney which was good in taste and salad. For the price of Rs. 320 it is very expensive but if you don’t mind the price and want a good tasting wrap then go for this one. You won’t be disappointed. 4.5/5 on taste. Recommended.

Was one of Thane’s prime restaurants of the 90’s. Particularly known for their Mutton Sandwiches and Seafood items. We had ordered a Chicken Sizzler, some Chicken gravy and some butter naans. Did not fail to delight even today! :)

It's totally a family fine dine place with some amazing food and great drinks. It's bit away from road and is not visible easily. But as soon you enter there's this big service standing to help you. We had Herbal Fiesta and 3g both were amazing drinks, loved it. In starters you should definitely try five spice roast chicken, chicken crispy, and prawns hara bara. Five spice was a very different kind of a dish which had too much of flavourfulness. In main course we had chicken Maratha which was spicy curry style chicken with butter roomali roti. Finally heading to desserts we had a normal cassata, blueberry kulfi which I personally tried for the first time and love how it tasted. Monis special sundae was my favorite dessert here.

Visited this place after a long long time due to the construction of the road adjoining the hotel. I surely missed this place as it was my family restaurant for quite a number of years during my childhood.
As I could see, the interior has been changed a bit, and the place is bigger than before and majestic to say the least.
This is one of those restaurants where everything one orders is delicious.
Service was one parameter where this restaurant beat every other in the viscinity by a mile ! The service time was less than 4 mins for any dish I ordered as If there was a magic genie sitting in the kitchen creating dishes out of thin air !

It looks very normal from outside but as soon as you enter this place you will be mesmerized with its ambience. It is quite a big place with beautifull decors and interiors. There are two sections here.

Location:- It is 15mins walking from thane station or rickshaws are easily available to get you here.

Prawns are my favourite dish to have amongst seafood. Here the prawns were made with a butter garlic touch and was scrumpticious.

Tandoor chicken was served on a banana leaf ina plate. It was perfectly grilled and delicious to have.
5. Roomali Crispy
Huge !!Huge crispy chat papad one can ever have. This is the best thing i have came across till now. It was so pleasing in taste.(Highly recommended)
6. Roasted chicken in five spices
The square slices of chicken were made up with 5 types of spices which made this dish so tasty.

Located at about a distance of about 15 mins from the station,this place is definitely a gem. They have been serving from the past 39 years and I'm so glad i got to try this place out. Ever since the moment we entered, the staff greeted us with a warm smile and constantly assured if we were comfortable. Lovely hospitality indeed! Had heard that they are quite famous for their seafood but unfortunately couldn't try em,but definitely going back for it. This place has a lovely vibe to it. Also, they have a fish tank next to the seating arrangement which is definitely an eye catcher.
What we tried:
📌3G Mocktail : More than a treat to the tastebuds, this was a delight to our eyes. A perfect fusion of guava,granadine and grapes this is a must try when here! Pretty sure this will astonish you people. I must say that the liquid nitrogen enhanced the overall presentation.
📌Litchy punch: This was yum but put us in a dilemma regarding the ingredients used. It had this lovely flavour of litchy and other stuffs unknown to us which perfectly complemented well. Also, the quantity is hugeee.
📌Chocolate Monk:This tasted like our regular chocolate shake. But had mild flavours, you can skip this one.
📌Crackling paneer with spinach: I had tried this at a different outlet and instantly became a fan. Tried of your regular starters? This is a warm change. The paneer used is of superior quality and aah, the melt in the mouth texture of spinach was to die for!
📌Danedar Tikki: I assume this was a new addition to the menu. It had this crispy sev coated outer covering filled with some veggies and cheese. Didn't manage to impress me as such.
📌Veg Sesame kebab: It's the usual one with an overdose of Sesame as the name goes,filled with some veggies and an overdose of peanuts. Definitely recommended!
📌Paneer Khurchan: To all the paneer lovers out there, this is a must try! Gravy full of flavours and succulent pieces of paneer, this is a dish which has to be tried. When paired with garlic naan, it proved to be a heavenly combo.
📌Veg Lajawab: It's the usual gravy based dish loaded with veggies. The masalas used are different i think which enhanced the flavours.
📌Sizzling Brownie and Malai Kulfi : No matter how stuffed our tummies were, there's always room for desserts! Simple and loaded with calories (count happiness) you can never go wrong with this one.
Overall, we had a very good time here. I have been to several restaurants but this one has somehow managed to acquire a special place. Maybe blame it on the old world charm or the lip-smacking food or the warm hospitality, they are best at what they do! Do visit them when in Thane.

Visited this restaurant for dinner and was surprised that it was fully packed even on a weekday. Even though it is a bar cum restaurant this place is visited by families even with kids. The kids have a small.play area too. It even has an in built acquairium which attracts kids to it.

The sauce in which it was made was a bit spicy , the tender Chicken was cooked so good , finger licking chicken , absolutely loved it.

One of my favourite food item from this place , the fusion chicken was so good and juicy . Covered in some mysterious sauce , one of the best appetizers I had .
📌 TRIPPLE CARAMEL FRUIT
Ending my such a wonderful meal in a very high note with a sweet and mouth watering Dessert.
The caramel custard with lots of fruit in it was so satisfying to it .

So lets talk about being what initially i thought of being a common traditional bar and restaurant kind of place but turned out to be quite a surprising as well.
Monis is actually not what it looks like from outside. Don't judge a book by its cover kind of place. Well by the first look from the outside of course it does feel like ohh is it really the place where i want to be, but once you enter inside, there are 1000% chances of getting amazed by the ambience, people and the food of course.
A big place with perfectly aligned seating arrangements for the tables and chairs and courteous staff makes the place quite a noticeable.
Seperate sections for the bar and restaurant as well as for the families as well. And yes talk about the ambience and the dim lighting and the fish tanks, some carved inside the walls and some kept outside and well maintained as well.
You'll have to give it 10 out of 10 for the ambience of course. Considering such beautiful scenes inside.
Now must mention is the service they provided, it was such timely and courteous all the way till the end.
They will make you feel like you own the restaurant and you can ask for anything and yet they are so much courteous to answer the queries very much politely
Now if coming to the food, what we had included,

Considering all the starters, they all are to be recommended by me at least
I mean the quality of the food served was such amazing and every dish that has been served to us was timely and hot and fresh as it needs to be

Well all of the Mocktails are so much refreshing and drooling
And the best part was the presentation they had kept. It's by far amongst the best presented Mocktails I've seen. The glasses are quite weirdly interesting but simple.
And not to forget the flavour and the taste of every Mocktail was as described in their menu.

So we ordered, Green Thai Curry along with Steam Rice.

Thai Curry here in not among the best ones I've tasted by far but this is the best thai curry I've ever tasted
The amount of vegetables put into and the coconut milk blend was so much perfect and the taste and the flavours are so much awesome. Really so much satisfied with this decision.
At last we wanted to try some of their unique desserts that they claim to have been changing everyday. So at that day they had some of the variety of kulfis. So we ordered,

2. Peru Kulfi
And
3. Fruit Salad With Ice Cream
Again the presentation was the deciding factor alongside the taste
So overall we had quite a satisfying and tasty experience here and considering everything, the service, staff and the food and the presentation it's worth giving this one a complete 5 stars.

Monis is located 12 min ride away from Thane Railway station at Naupada in Thane West. The place is huge. Has a children's play area too. More of a family restaurant. Decently maintained.
Monis is more of known for its North Indian and Chinese food. I'd suggest go for Indian. That's great. Also dont really opt for mocktails. Cocktails can be a replaceable option for mocktails.
About food I'd suggest the below:
Chicken kebabs
Cream of chicken soup
Veg Russian Salad
Also on their table their separately place a chef's special menu go for that. That's nicely done in every aspect.
For desserts try their flavoured kulfis.
It's a family restaurant. And a bar on the other hand. Don't expect pound music. They play gazal instrumentals which do sound great. A little dull environment maybe because I visited in the afternoon. But otherwise good place. Well done monis management.

You could see the glee light up in my parents eyes on the mention of monis. Monis one of the oldest restaurants in Thane city. Maintaining vestiges of its old splendor, the in-wall aquariums are still present along with the plush velvetine seating, dim lighting and mellow music. The valet, doorman, dressed in their finest, both have a constant smile and low bow, reminding me of the opening scenes of Titanic movie !

They have got huge space. It is near to thane railway station like 10-15 mins walking. They have these huge fish tanks which makes the place look pretty cool. They have playing area for kids as well. Staff is well-behaved.
If you're looking for dinner time with family this one is perfect place to go. There's not much noise and just light music is on. Also they have got hell lot of food as well as drinks.

Visited this place on a Tuesday night for dinner. I wanted to try our this place since a long time as I had heard quite a lot of good stuff specially about their sea food. Finally I had the chance to try it out and I wasn't disappointed a bit.
The ambience is that of a fine dine restaurant. It's very pleasant and comfortable. The service is excellent. The staff is courteous and they gladly suggest the best of what they have to offer as per your preference.
The fish and meat served here are tender, juicy and super fresh. The quality of food served is excellent. Also, the mocktails are splendid. The man behind the bar sure does his job exceptionally well. Fishes available were Pomfret and Bass. I called for the below: (All are a MUST TRY)

What an amazing experience it was last nite. Everything I had was just yummy.
This place is wellknown for its seafood and fish being my favorite tried fish items here.
He had lot of things. We started with
Green exotic soup- this soup was very tasty as well as yummy. It had baby corn, broccoli, mushroom and chicken pieces in it. The aroma of the soup itself was so tempting that couldn’t control as soon as it was served just grabbed it. Must try.
Tawa fish was a starter which had pomfret cooked on a tawa . The fish was marinated well and cooked very nicely. The fish was very fresh and soft. It was served witj pudina chutney and onions.
V ordered mocktails:
Herbal fiesta which was mixture of pinapple basil limca and lime
Kiwi spl was kiwi juice lime and sprite both the drinks were delicious
Next we had was murg dilkash kabab where the chicken was stuffed with cheese where each bite gave a lovely cheesy taste. The meat was cooked very well and spices were just proper.
Multani mushrooms. I have seen such bit mushrooms for the first time. The mushrooms were very were marinated and coated with gram flour.
In main course v had fish curry goan curry with steam rice. What an amazing combination it was. The curry was spicy and sour. The fish was soft and having it with rice was just wowwwww. We had it with a roasted papad.
We ended our dinner with sizzling brownie which was as usual wowwww.
The interiors of the place was well maintained they had a huge fish tank and a slide for the kids. A light music was played in the background.
Overall a very nice experience.

This is almost 30 year old legendary restaurant in Thane located at prime location. I visited this place on a weekday evening.
It is a family restaurant with soothing music and dim lit lights and comfortable seating.
The service is great and staff is cordial.
Starters: Masala papad
mushroom tikka - Mushrooms are marinated with spices and served with salad.
Paneer chilly oriental - Spicy and comes with sliced hot chillies. Paneer very soft and seemed fresh.
Cheesy poppers - Comes in an attractive eye catchy small bicycle. Amazing dish to order.
Exotic veg sizzler in main course - Mixed veggies served with fries, rice, cheese corn and mashed potato.
Triple fruit dessert: This is truely a fantastic dessert to order. It comes in layers with top layer of custard / cream and fruits at the bottom. Truely filling and cherry on the top of your meal.
Mocktails: Lychee punch - It comes in milk base and goes on sweetness.
Tropical spice - Perfectly done and truely recommended.
3G - Guava juice with lime.
Overall a great restaurant still standing strong with amazing food.
Recommendations - Cheesy poppers, exotic veg sizzler, triply fruit dessert and tropical spice in mocktail.
A perfect dine-in place, easily locatable in Thane, Monis is a place with a decent decor and lip smacking food. The Ambience is pretty calm and composed with dim lights and slow music . It was Chinese dish with chicken tossed in the devil sauce and veggies in it.
Chicken lababdar kabab
The chicken were cooked in tandoor with the white batter and the kababs were loaded with cheese.
Mutton rogan josh
The mutton was properly cooked and the gravy of the Rogan Josh was super smooth and perfectly balanced with all the spices.
5spice roast chilly
The chicken in this dish were grill pan siered with veggies and spices. This dish is on the spicier side .
Ended with the dessert
Black forest ice cream
It was frozen in nature but the taste of dessert was good it was more like ice cream cake.

Prawnz Koliwadi : I have tried this dish at many places.But those places couldnt actually compete with the taste of Monis.Good Quality big and fresh prawnz were used.The prawnz were well cooked amd marinated.
Cheese Corn Balls : Small balls like patty made up of cheese and corn.These were the normal ones.But The texture amd quantity of cheese added made it different from others.
Chicken Lollypop : Though m a chicken lollypop fan I try it wherever I go.The texture and platting of these lollypops was just amazing.The Chicken was well cooked and tender soft.The Gravy ie the paste used for marination was well cooked.The Chicken used was fresh and of good quality.And was easily Chewable.
Chicken Dilkash Kebabs : Though not a big kebab fan but still i tried them over here.They were good.

Monis Bar and Restaurant is a casual family dining restaurant located in the heart of Thane. Even though I am living in Thane for the last 22 years I had never been to this gem of a place.
It is one of the oldest restaurants of Thane and has it’s own fan following. I had been here on a Tuesday evening for dinner and the amount of customers present spoke a lot about the standard of the restaurant.
The restaurant is fairly old yet elegant. They have maintained it very well. Even though the restaurant feels old it isn’t spoil or damaged. Kudos to the management for maintaining the place so well. The service provided by Mr. Robin and Mr. Jeevan was very nice. Mr. Jeevan knew the menu very well while Mr. Jeevan made sure that we were not left waiting before serving the food.
The food menu is so vast that it will take atleast a 100 visits to this place to complete it. Each and every item on the menu looks appealing. It’s not extremely modern but it’s not extremely outdated as well. Seeing the menu, the place is perfect for any person of any age group looking for a peaceful and tasty dinner.

One of the oldest and very popular fine dimes in Thane. Extremely courteous and well mannered staff right from the valet , gate keeper to the top guys. The service is really quick even on busy days. Food options are many in starters as well as main course and they have a great variety in sea food too. A must visit fine dine in Thane.

Moni's is one of Thane's oldest Fine-Dine Restaurant & Bar. It has been recently renovated and the new ambience is really pleasant and welcoming. The staff is very helpful and polite. The food is very delicious. We tried the crab-chili soup which was so yummy ! Chicken Kandhari tikka was good as well. They have nice cocktails and mocktails. I've had caramel Custard at many places, but the one I had at Moni's really stood out. It had good flavour and consistency. Over all it's a fantastic restobar.
Visited so many times..ambience is aesthetic 90s vibe. Food is tasty. Service is quick. For the family must visit🙌
