Sheetal Grillé is of the legendary restaurant in Thane. Right from all the important occasions to the casual family meals have been celebrated at Sheetal Grillé.
We've tried almost all the dishes at Sheetal over the years.
Our personal favourites are the Non veg Tandoori Platter : A humongous Platter consisting of a variety of Kebabs all grilled to perfection served with an amazing onion salad.
The Chicken lazeez is something you definitely have to try in the main course. Order it along with a Butter Naan and you're sorted for the day.
Even their dum biryanis need a special mention for being full of flavour.
Coming to the Chinese cuisine, the Chicken Crispy is by far the best we've had in Thane.
And the usual chicken fried rice and Manchurian hit all the right spots.
The staff is very cordial and go out of their way to ensure you've had a good meal.
The ambience is very peaceful and makes for a good meal with your near and dear ones.
The only thing Sheetal Grillé lacks in is in innovation. With all the new restaurants that have come up in the recent times, they need to bring some variety or innovation in the menu in order to entice the diner. Hope the management Sheetal Grille - Royal Inn takes this into consideration.

Best place for seafood lovers.
We had biryani, butter chicken and paneer all tasted good and server was really good and prompt . He customized our food. Only thing is portion size was little less than what we expected as prices are little high but can't deny the fact that food was tastyyyyyyyyyy.
Good food with good quality.. Expecially the starter was really nice.. Can't wait to try more starters 😍 Ambience is nice.. Staff is polite and friendly too❤️

This is a very calm place and near to highway. We tried butter garlic prawns, chicken kadhai , naan kulcha, soup and kulfi. Taste is good. Ambiance is nice. Quantity and price is a mismatch. Parking is a challenge. Good place to try though.
What a royal experience you can have over here a pleasant environment with a good crowd very good ambience good staff suggest some new dish which were pretty good and tasted very good.. recommend for dates
Best restaurant in the vicinity. The food here is so delicious. Quantity served is also upto the mark. Indian bread especially butter naan are cooked so perfectly. The ambience is also good and attractive. Loved this place.

It is a fine dine restaurant near castle mill. It is a very old restaurant and need to upgrade its look to match up with other Fine Dine restaurants who attracts youth. Food is good and service is also good.
Good food, good ambience, little higher waiting time and order receiving time, ordered palak paneer and methy malai. Palak was good but methy malai was just like sweet dish, no need of separate sweet dish, food quality good.
A really good ambience, with tasty food and a courteous staff. This place is one of the few good hotel-run-restaurants. It loses out due to the congested location though.

This is very old restaurant in Thane, kept it's taste alive since a long time, I recently visited this place with family, they accept zomato gold , which is like a cherry on the top! Try their Sea food which is great to taste and also their kababs....

This is a fine dine restaurant with nice ambience and courteous staff. Food quality is very good and offers zomato gold. Must try: Fish Tikka (Rawas), Gosht Dum Biryani (Mutton). Fish tikka was excellent. Well marinated.
Mutton was well cooked in authentic spices. Recommended for family get togethers.

Great food, great service at an affordable price provided you are a Zomato Gold member. Lol.. kidding!... Go for it Thane people it's one of the best place that you can enjoy food. Drink menu seems like a lil overly priced but one beer won't do much of a hole in your pocket.

A good place, with a good Tandoor, especially the Kalmi Kebab was really delicious, the Chicken Chilly was really tender and soft. The Fruit Punch is a strict no-no. Sheekh kebab was too ordinary
Though had a minor inconvenience with the billing, as I was charged extra. Except that, the staff was good! If you live in Thane, and want to go to a regular restaurant, this really is a good choice!

Have been visiting and ordering from this place for years before food delivery apps even existed and this place has never changed at all in terms of taste, quality and quantity. It's just amazing. They had a bogo offer on zomato - amazing deal and had chicken achari(was a little overcooked) and chicken makhanwala(definitely try it out) - both great in taste, just amazing. Do try it out!

If you want to try mughlai and kebabs then sheetal will make you feel good and happy. sheetal tikka will melt in mouth once you ingest it. Yum sheetal is for sure.
Seafood is what I was thinking of having last week and finally I made it to this place. Food is wow.
Special mention must be made of the very courteous staff, especially Mr. Bhola (sorry I don't remember his name) who very sincerely took feedback of every dish served with a big, genuine smile.
Fan of paneer dishes? Sheetal grille is the place for you. The serve the best paneer dishes. Must try is paneer pasanda. They have medium portion to the dish (not too much not too less, perfect for two). Do not miss dish is veg manchurian, you can order veg manchurian dry as appetiser or as beer snack, the manchurian balls come in bite size portions, and is tastier than it looks. Add ons to the mains,thumbs up to garlic naan/ garlic cheese naan. The service and ambience is well maintained. If you are not willing to leave out of ur home, there takeaways never disappoint.

A very good place for authentic north Indian food. For starters you must try Malaysian chicken kebabs which is a very unique preparation stuffed with mushrooms and onions. Also try their Fish Steak in Schewanz sauce and fish finger with tarter sauce for starters. For the main course a must try is Butter chicken, dal tadka and Mutton Bhuna Ghosh. Finally end the meal with a delicious sizzling Brownie with ice cream. A very courteous staff.
Decent place to have dinner with your family. The quality of food has decreased but it is still better than many other restaurants in Thane.

Located just next to United 21, this restaurant is very conveniently located from Majiwada, Eastern Express Highway.
Wanted to visit this place since long and finally made it here. The staff and service is very warm, friendly and prompt. The ambience is mediocre but good place to enjoy and talk with others on your table.
For starters tried the Masala papad and Chicken Chilly. Went for Murgh Balti with Lachedar paratha and Dal Khichdi for the main course. The best part was the food taste with no much pinch on your wallet.
It's a no frills, delicious food and not so heavy on your wallet restaurant which is worth going. Definitely I'm going next time soon. Till then, it's "Happy Eating".

The variants in both veg and non-veg be it Chicken or Mutton were fresh, well cooked. The paneer was very soft felt as if melting in mouth. Could not try their desserts as we were full after the main course.

This is my favourite place for tomato soup...they have an old world charm of simple uncomplicated hotel food...the spread is limited but always well prepared! Try this place if you are around, you won't get disappointed!

Just been to this place. Paneer tikka masala was awsome and also I would suggest u guys to try sizzling brownie with hot Choclate it is yummy and it's must have.

Chose Sheetal Grille for a small celebration with family and it had a grand meal :) The veg monchow soup was average but the starters were amazing. Had ordered Paneer tikka for my vegetarian father and a non veg platter for the meat eaters. The platter was huge and comprised of fish, chicken and mutton . The starters were very nicely done with the right mix of spices in marinade. We had also ordered a veg triple schezwan rice which also good. The portions are huge for the price making it value for money and an ideal place to go in large groups.

I came here for the second time as I was totally impressed the first time I visited here & also I didn't happen to write a review. The ambience is pleasing and has a perfect family dining set up. Service is absolutely satisfactory with smiling staff & decent speed of arrival of food. Coming to food, we ordered:

Nice mild soup sans any spices and condiments. Doesnt fill you up.

Usually, almost every restaurant serves good manchow soup. This place is no different. Crave worthy totally.
•Nonveg Platter: 4.5/5
This platter is not apt for less than 4 people. It has murg reshmi, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, chicken hariyali, sheekh kabab, and one fish starter. Prawns was the only item missing that's why cannot give full rating, but otherwise the platter is kickass.
•Veg Fried Rice: 5/5
After such a sumptuous platter, the fried rice tasted divine. Fresh french beans nicely put together in fried basmati rice. Loved this one too.
Even if I want to, I cant find any faults in this place nor in their food. It's just exactly how you would like a family restaurant to be. Next time when you're with your family & thinking of eating out, you know where to head.

The year 2000 saw the birth of one of Thane city's phenomenal fine dine restaurants at Royal Inn Hotel (now Ginger) which is aptly described in Zomato as a hidden gem serving cuisine from around the country and more.
And after almost 16 years Sheetal Grille is still going strong with a more revamped n upgraded menu that includes Indian, South East Asian, Indo Chinese and continental food.
The restaurant has a classy ambiance with light earth toned Italian marble everywhere, neatly laid tables with white covers, a small bubbling indoor pond which is very soothing and good lighting combined with a very neat inner layout that creates a sense of calm relaxed space.
The menu is comprehensive and you are spoilt for choice as almost everything veg or non veg is worth trying.
They have a good bar menu with few basic mocktail options as well.
If you want to skip soups or are a non drinker then try the mocktails like Green Apple Mojito or pina colada, they are well made, not too sweet and go well with the starters.
The usual soups like Veg or non veg Manchow, Hot n Sour or Sweet Corn are finely made and can whip up your taste buds !
Special mention has to be made for their paneer dishes as they so far have always served the softest n juiciest malai cottage cheese, so any paneer starter is a good idea.
Paneer Tikka dry or Paneer malai kebab: both dishes have nicely marinated cottage cheese, medium spicy, cooked fine in the tandoor and good quantity as well.
Tandoori Mushrooms or Veg Kebab platter: these guys are good with kebabs veg or non veg so the platter lets u taste all in one dish and the Mushrooms are a must have if you like them nicely roasted with red tikka masala.
For the carnivores the chicken tikka dry, Reshmi Kebab or the non veg platter are all worth trying. The platter has sea food as well.
For the main course:
Paneer Tikka Masala: again a must have as the masala is smooth, creamy, right amount of spices and softest cottage cheese.
Paneer or Veg Makhanwala: these dishes are tricky as the gravy has to be perfectly balanced and not too sweet and here they do it just right.
Good quality ingredients, spices n veggies give a nice aroma and go well with rice dishes or flat breads.
The above dishes in non veg version are equally well made with nicely cooked n juicy meat and fine marination.
The tandoor flat breads like naan, roti, kulcha or paratha plain or with butter have always been well made.
The Jeera rice has nice long grains and right amount of ghee n jeera/cumin, it's very aromatic and cooked perfectly.
The Indo-Chinese here should not be missed !
All the favourites in veg, paneer or chicken version are bang on flavours without the overpowering use of sauces or food colours.
Manchurian, chilly or Schezwan dishes all have the softest balls (veg or chicken) and the right amount of seasonings.
Basic Fried Rice or Schezwan rice should be tried if you are going to stick to Indo-Chinese cuisine here.
Majority of the dishes are well priced and have enough portion sizes which is a great combo !
Sheetal Grille is a fine place to enjoy with family or friends especially for celebrating special occasions.
The service has always been nice, warm n cordial which makes it all the more appealing.
Along with Monis, Mantraa, Oriental Spice and Satkar this is among the top five oldest fine dines in the City.
Amazing ambience and decor ! Big place , good staff n superb food .. the fish is one of the best n fresh in town !! With parking assistance it makes your visit all the more better !!
The place is within earshot and yet it was our first visit in so many years.
Went on a weekday and there wasn't much rush. Got a comfy place for 2.
We had a long crave to eat sumptuous butter chicken which was fulfilled in here and I must say it was really very delicious. The taste got us remain nostalgic to the good old days. We did not try much but I am preety sure rest of the menu would taste good.
Having said so they get negative marking on their service it looked like they were taking good care of their regular customers and overlooking new ones. It was very frustrating as we were not attended for very long time. The management should take a keen note of their service.
Good Food with good Ambience. Sea food Starters are Excellent here. For family outings highly recommended. Don't forget to have Falooda Rabdi Kulfi...yummy.
Great place for family dinners. Really like their Roti basket that comes with a variety of rotis and naans. Also the sea food plater is a must have.

This place had the best quality of food, my last visit was a disappointment though and thus the rating.
It was where as a family we would go if we were ready to forego exotic dishes for the standard dishes but because the quality used to be excellent.
Naan and butter chicken was excellent.
Kulfi falooda rabdi was out of the world, had it for the first time and will be on the look out for this dish wherever i go!
Fish fingers, prawns koliwada and gulab jamun, these dishes i never eat anywhere readily but that was our
standard order here.
Didn't like the fish fingers and the reshmi kabab was not what reshmi kabab looks or tastes like. I have fond memories of having the juiciest rehmi kabab here in the past. Even the tartar sauce was weird.
Even pinacolada and fruit punch was slightly sour and too sweet respectively.
Cream of chicken - chicken was not well shredded, there were chunks but it was well cooked.
They forgot to get our masala papad. There was quite a bit of confusion even though the place had just 2-3 groups of customers.
As all members advised that it's next to Ginger Thane which gives an easy option for all to have their dinner and breakfast here but still had a good attendant who took maximum care for having some best dishes at their space - so all in all enjoyed both during my stay as didn't wanted to venture Vivana Mall with the traffic chores .......
A very nice ambience to start with. The manchow soup was too good and so was the paneer starter followed by it. I went for the indian food and it was more than decent. The quantity is sick so watch out before ordering too many dishes. Also you can look yo have a peaceful dining here
Its one of the oldest family restaurant in thane. visited today with family for lunch. ordered non veg starter platter out of which mutton seekh was amazing, tangdi chicken was juicy. main course if going with family then one should order murg mussallam, one plate enough for 4-5 persons. we loved it best compliment with butter nan, to end one must try their in house brownie sizzler. food quality good, service good ambiance satisfactory.

This place is very quiet unlike other places. Mostly this place is good for a family dinner. These guys doesnt use artificial Colors and Aginomoto (MSG) thats what the Captain told us when we asked him about the Tomato Soup Color. This was a good thing which inspired me to write about this restaurant..
Recently we tried "Faluda" in desserts which was ok. They had served Malai Kulfi and Shevaiya in a plate. Asthetically I would give 2 out of 5. Tastewise i would give 3.5 out of 5 for this dish.
I would recommend this restaurant for a peaceful dinner with your family, people can try it atleast once. These people should do something to attract youngsters.

Went here on the occasion of my Dad's birthday. Excellent ambience and since we went really early (7.45 pm) for our dinner we were the only ones there. Limited options but the food tasted good. Service levels are ok, and nothing extraordinary but not a problem either. The staff is Very very friendly and the music in the background (old hindi instrumental) is soothing. Makes for a great family dinner, amidst a very well lit restaurant. Kudos !
It's a regular family favorite of ours. The options here are limited but the quality and the taste is just what you need. The staff is very friendly and there are no complaints about bad service or about the taste. All in all, one of my favorites.
Have visited this place twice, on two functional occasions and have returned home with a happy tummy and a smile! Food quality, sitting arrangement, ambiance, service all deserve an applause, Though this place is on a higher side compared to other places in Thane, this is a must must try especially on special occasions!
Been here on diwali night.. the staff is good .. and so is the ambience .. a nice family restaurant... good and hygenic food quality. The chicken makhanwala and paratha was lip smaking... havent tried out much though,seems like a nice place to visit.

A very pleasant decent restaurant near Khopat, Thane.
We visited this restaurant to celebrate birthday party.
We reached around 8. Not much crowded, and we did get a nice comfortable place.
Waiters reached to our table and were available and attentive all time during our dinner.
We ordered a fruit punch, lungfung soup-had red alot of reviews about this one.
Lungfung soup was wonderful. I had tasted it for first time. It's a Chinese dish, kind off Manchurian taste but not so spicy and it was garnished with egg white froth. It was looking wonderful!
Then in starters we had Chicken chilly milly, which was quite interesting dish. It was a tandoor dish tasted good not so spicy again.
In main course we had Chicken Lazeez and Chicken kadai.
Both did disappoint a li'l bit.
The lazeez was with base of yellow gravy, looked bith different here also kadai chicken grevy was expected to be a churned and blended paste whereas it was chopped vegetable grevy. The pieces in lazeez were seem to be same of tandoor or roasted one's.
Nevertheless, the jeera rice and dal tadka combo won the dish of the day.
A very light and tasty delicacy to wrap up your final slot of hunger.
Finally we had pan which were offered near billing counter.
Overall was decent experience. Can be tried some day! The service indeed is royal can be a bit heavy to yout pockets. Enjoy!

I have been to this place many times and have always loved it a LOT. Here are some reasons why!
Went there for a Sunday lunch with a group of 7 people. They have a courteous wait staff, especially the captains and the concierge. They always make sure they give good attention to the customers.
We had a foreign dignitary with us and he was craving for some good butter chicken. We started the lunch with Masala Papad. Followed it up with Roti Tokri, Butter Garlic Naans, Chicken Makhanwala (Butter Chicken), Chicken Lazeez and Paneer Pasanda.
The Paneer was nice and fresh, chicken was cooked to perfection, and the spiciness was just right. The highlight of the meal for me was the Butter garlic Naan. Beautifully roasted garlic cloves, on a nice crisp naan with a dollop of butter was simply delicious!
Would recommend this place to every foodie in Thane.

I am a regular at Sheetal Grille for last 10 years. All these years this restaurant has really maintained its Food quality and taste. If our family decides to eat out, one of our most common place to dine is SG.
I had my daughter 1st birthday celebrated at Royal Inn with Sheetal Grille menu. The guests were all praise about the food. We were able to hand pick items from the menu, since we had tried most of them.
The staff is very courteous and do give good suggestions if you are confused on which item to order. Great Non vegetarian food. Highly Recommended.
I've been going to this restaurant since I was was about 5 years old and would love to play with the small pool placed in between. Have been here countless times. The food is exceptional, but not really great. The Punjabi dishes are superb, but the biryani very normal. The Chinese starters and main course are excellent again. Good ambience and staff.
QUALITY TO THE MAX....Sheetal Grille is one of those posh restaurants wherein your taste buds are given a treat of a lifetime...make no mistake...this place is renowned for its ambience and food quality...it also has a banquet hall for events and we had chosen them as the venue for my sister's threading ceremony about 8 years ago...needless to say..all our guests simply relished the food and it was something to behold...Sheetal Grille to me stands for quality in every department and in every possible way...say no more

I was craving chiken with some rich cashewnut gravy with all those aromatic spices and it was lunch time, so i just called up my freinds and we visited this place as it was already on my wishlist.
1. Ambience and Service - The ambience was subtle, pleasant and was quite relaxing with mild soothing music playing in the background. The service is on par and attentive.
2. Food- For starters we ordered murgh tikka, murgh adraki and murgh seekh kebab.
The classic murg tikka was juicy and tender with sufficient coating of creamy marinade.
The chiken adraki kebab was cooked to perfection with strong taste of ginger which literally overpowered the kebabs.( Ginger lover will love this)
The chiken seekh was a dissappointment as the chiken was salty,rubbery and way too dry.
For the main course we ordered Chiken achari
Masala, Chuken Tawa, chiken dum biryani, chiken tikka biryani and rotis.
The chiken achari masala comes in a yellowish cashewnut gravy with whole bunch of chopped garlic and aromatic spices.
The chiken was tender and the flavours were rightly penetrated inside it.
The chiken tawa comes with a nice thick gravy (may be onion and cashewnut based).
The gravy is loaded with masala and it bursts with flavours.
Both the biryani were good and were lacking salt and the biryani masala was on the sweeter side and was not served with any form of yoghurt based raita which usually other restros do.
3.Value for money- Well food in here is quite unique and they add their own twist to mughlai and north indian dishes and considering the quantity, quality and presentation it totally comes under a value for money restaurant.
Well i would have given 4.5 out of 5..but that chiken seekh stopped me from doing so.

Ambience is good.But it won't make you feel fresh. Taste is good but it doesn't offer any good spicy dish . You can definitely tell them to make it spicy. Food quality and quantity is also good enough. In all its very nice place for family dinning.
This place is favourite for dinners for everyone in the family . The ambience goes very well with the music played in the background (its soft music). The hotel has variety of dishes to offer which are excellent, ravas tikka-chilymily kabab-veg,nveg platter are really good but you have to beleive me- chicken biryani is the best you wil ever have ! The staff is really awesome, they help us in making the dinner better. When in thane city with good bucks in your pocket do try this old classy hotel- Sheetal Grille !
We selected from a long list of restaurants thanks to ZomatoApp ! Superb kolivada fish fry and curry! Enjoyed the authentic taste ! Vegetarian dishes were average and not upto the expectation! Overall a good experience !
The panner Satay is my all tym favourite for veg and also dal fry with extra tadka and for non veg I am spoilt by choice ,it could be Indian or Chinese
Nice place for a calm lunch dinner .. With soothing music .. The menu is also widely spread .. Mocktails are must try .. Water melon mogito is nice .

We have been to this restaurant many times...it's a nice place to have a dinner with family & friends. very calm & soothing ambiance with old Hindi instrumental music playing in the background... Coming to the food.. Very nice typical moghlai food. My personal favorites are chicken banjara kabab & chicken tikka... Very nice butter chicken & lasooni... Basically food is nice.. Service is fine too.. They have paan waiting for u on the counter to the exit door... Also very important they have valet parking.. Overall nice experience.
I stayed at Ginger for two weeks most of the time i had my food at Sheetal Grille. All the items were good. The service was excellent as well. Only Con was the Breakfast menu having only limited options. Not sure about parking facilities.

I visited this restaurant today. It is a great place. The ambiance is pleasant, peaceful and elegant. The food is really delicious. The service is quick. The staff is friendly, polite, and helpful. It is a good place for having quick lunch/dinner with family, friends or even business associates. The prices are fair. Overall it is a value for money experience. Valet parking us available. However the traffic around this restaurant is horrible. However I would recommend it. Five stars from me. Looking forward to visiting this restaurant again very soon.

the place was very nice actually. recently renovated, as they said. we had goan prawn curry... which was delicious. and tandoori pomfret, rice, roti. food was very satisfying.
coming to the crew. the manager was very helpful... helped us to decide the menu. waiters are watchful and caring.
we went for lunch though, so we missed the lighting effects.
Nice servings and buffet options tie up Ginger hotel besides. I enjoyed the meal with friendly service. Good ambience.

The experience was pleasant, but not extraordinary.
We ordered Hot and Sour Veg Soup, which was splendid and served hot.
For starters, we had Papad Roll, Babycorn in Hot Black Garlic, Chicken Tikka and Chicken Pahadi Tikka. While the Veg starters were fantastic, no complaints there, the Non Veg Chicken starters could have been a little bit better. The Chicken was a little stiff, and difficult to cut, and more chewy than I would like.
For Main Course, we went for Veg Fried Rice, which can be a LOT better. The rice was dry, and even though it was not oily at all (Pretty healthy), I am someone who prefers Fried Rice be tasty, not healthy.
We went at 7pm on a Sunday, and were surprised to see no crowd whatsoever. For the most part, we were the only family dining in the restaurant, which was nice.
Loved the ambience, casaual, clean, spacious and attractive. The food was awesome - everything we ordered was great - Indian starters, chinese starters, and butter chicken & dal in main course. Must try this restaurant.
Its sad to see the sorry state of a legendary restaurant....one upon a time there used to be waiting and the ambience was just lively...today it is in a devastated state....we went after a long time post its renovation and thought we might get waiting but to our surprise it was empty. Food still stands out tall but the ambiance and and atmosphere has just vanished.....sorry to see this....very disappointing.....it needs a big revamp at the earliest....will pray for you.

Food is very good
Service guys are polite
Ambience is decent
It's Right on the main road and parking is available on the main road itaelf on the days when it us not busy.
Pricing is like any other restaurant in its class
Now for what xan improve
Time taken to serve - We were the ONLY 3 people in the restaurant
Clinginess of the server - Yes, i love that ypu are polite but please let me have some time with me family without hanging around too much tryung ti engage us in small talk
Time for the bill - CMon now, three people, ONE bill shoildnt take more than a couole of minutes. I actually qent next door to buy auto parts, where i waited my turn for about 7 minutes, took another 3 -5 Minutes to buy what i needed and come back and still there was no bill!
Wonder what happens on busy days!
Having said that, i would go again and give them another chance. I've been here before as well and i woild go again!
Perfect family restaurant. I have been visiting this place since the past 15 years. The quality of food, amazing service and pleasant ambience and even most of the staff is still consistent over the years. Overall, a value for money experience.
I have been visiting this place since 10 years now,it’s simply amazing and very underrated,the ambiance is very delightful and the food amazing,service here is also good,it has been our go to restaurant since we first visited here,the staff,everything is just perfect, don’t overthink trying this place out!
