Tried the Chicken Biryani (Kilo). Was impressed with the packaging. It's not your typical biryani, the method of preparation and ingredients are a bit different, it's an acquired taste. But good nonetheless. Bit on the spicier side, but I'm not complaining - I liked it!
Tandoor Tawa Aur Karahi are famous for their Mughlai and North Indian Cuisine. The menu was wide and finally decided to settle on Murgh Maharaja, Butter Rotis and Thums Up. It was a rainy night so delivery took 1 hour from when the order was placed.
The Murgh Maharaja was simply exquisite in taste. It was an awesome Chicken Tandoori cooked in Rich Medium Spicy gravy. The pieces were big, juicy and delicious. Gravy had an amazing thick texture with Kheema pieces, cream and whole spices. The ingredients used were of rich and highest quality. The quantity was a delight.
The stuff was hot when it arrived. The Butter Rotis were soft and went really well with the gravy. They had a good amount of Butter on them. The packaging for all the items was great. It made for one lovely meal and looking forward to trying other options in the menu already.
Great flavour, taste and good quantity. packing was also very good. looking forward to order again for different dishes.
I love tandoor tawa and karhai..their ambience is unique..their kebabs are really juicy and tasty!

It's was wonderful experience as we were searching for quite sometime for decent restaurant on Ghodbunder Road [Thane to Borivali route ] and couldn't find anything other than cafe or Chinese joint before this place for lunch.
Place looked kind of lame from outside as it was just 2 PM & all the decorations weren't visible in daylight. But once we entered the place simply rocked our minds. [Would love to know history of this place as I noticed images hanged were of Nawabs & Nizams from southern India. Signs & places from pre-independence era]

Tandoor, Tawa aur Karahi as the name goes was quite a intriguing name as we stepped into the restaurant.
Serving north indian cuisine, this place surprised us with the food we ordered.
Called for the Tawa fish to start off. Tender whole fish marinated to perfection was quite heavy enough leading us directly to the mains.
Pepper chicken with Malabar parotta as a combination went well. Authenticity in their food is which it stood for. Coming back surely to try out other stuff.
The place was amazing. I had an amazing experience there. The decor was nice. The ambience was superb. We had a lot of food. The quality and quantity of the food was good. The behaviour of each and every staff was appreciable.

Tandoori chicken was really nice. It had a different burnt charcoal flavour which went well with spicy tandoori masala...and yes they do not add colour to their tandoori..it was cooked well...just needed a few more minutes of cooking and it would have been more juicy and tender....

A hidden gem in the Godhbunder road of Thane, near suraj water park. I did saw this twice while passing Godhbunder road and wanted to visit the place because the name and the logo of the restaurant was very catchy. Finally one fine Sunday afternoon, I arrived at the restaurant and I was totally amazed to see how the place was set up. When you enter, you can see live tandoor grills and Chef working on it. I always love kitchen with transparent kitchen, that shows the hygiene level that is maintained in the restaurant. Then the dining area has amazing light set up and wall has nice vintage feel to it with some beautiful old photos hanged. The place is nicely set up, full marks to that.
Coming towards food, let me tell you what I tried.
Soup:
Paya Shorba - Paya cooked for longer duration, all you get is a clear flavourful paya soup. I was expecting paya peace, which was not their but, still the flavours did the justice.
Appetizers :
1) Chatpata Masala Papad Cone - Papad roasted and moulded in cone shape filled with sukha bhel. Thoughtful and very nicely presented. Good way to start of your meal.
2) Fish Tikka (Highly Recommended) - Tender fish nicely marinated with Indian Masala, lemon and Tandoori Curd spices and grilled in Tandoor. Lipsmaking and Delicious.
3) Jhinga Tandoori (Highly Recommended) - Prawns marinated with ajwain flavoured yogurt and garam masala then roasted in tandoor. Lipsmaking and Delicious.
4) Mutton Gilafi Seekh (Highly Recommended) - Minced mutton mixed with bell pepper, boiled egg and spices. Perfect as it should be.
5) Chicken Black bean sauce (Highly Recommended) (Chinese) - After try all Indian appetizers, gave a try to Chinese appetizer. It did not disappoint the palate. It was juicy and delectable chicken complimented well by the black sauce.
Mains :
Murg Dakshini (Highly Recommended) - You can feel the rich south indian flavours as soon as it hits your palate. Amazing gravy and delightful.
Mutton Rogan Josh: Perfectly cooked mutton with perfect Gravy as a it should be.
I would definitely recommend, if you are ordering any Gravy in the main then please try it with ULTE TAWA KA PARATHA. It's superb and rarely found in any restaurant. It a Hyderabadi concept of making paratha that is soft and delicious. Lovely and must try it.
Dessert :
Chocolate bomb with hot chocolate syrup (Highly Recommended) - I was willing to try few more desserts but, this dessert was so, awesome that I did not want to try any other dessert and change the taste of the palate. The chocolate was rich and highly indulging one. Loved it the core.
Overall enjoyed the experience and hospitality. Would definitely recommend you to try it. It will not disappoint you.
Food is really delicious, especially the sarso da sang which was authentic although they are are famous for chicken Tandoori items.
Also they serve Masala papad in an aesthetic way and this too is worth eating.

Tandoor tawa and karahi situated next to Suraj water park on service road and hence not very difficult to locate.
The name itself is so catchy that one makes a point to at least visit once.
While entering you see the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant and will be guided by the waiters towards your seat. Lighting and seating arrangements are perfect. Infact would like to complement the management about the single table seating arrangement which is very good and also consuming lesser space.
Service here is prompt and serving time is also decent enough. Waiters are helpful and polite.
Now the main and the important part : Food -
➡️since I tried the concept of shorba for the first time, i liked it. Tomato shorba and chicken kalimiri shorba were Yumm..
➡️ Starters - paneer lasooni and aloo bukhara both of them were delicious. But I liked Aloo bukhara more than the other one.
➡️ For main course tried dal makhani with 3 different types of parathas - ulta tawa ka paratha, lacha paratha and paneer kulcha. All of them were good
But they could improve on their taste and make it more crispier.
➡️And had chocolate ball with hot chocolate syrup which has dry fruits in it which was again good enough but the either the sauce could have been more slightly hot than served or the chocolate ball should have been soft.
Overall a beautiful experience & would surely visit once again.

Galouto kebab with paratha is another standout dish that shouldnt be missed...
This is the best restaurant in ghodbander road for mughlai food.. I specially love the kabebs and biryani and curries here. We tried mutton galoti kababs with ulte tawe ke parathe this time and it melted in mouth.. it was a nice try..
