It’s a great outlet with complete South Indian vegetarian menu. It’s neat and clean. The best is that I loved in this place was Thali. It comes with a number of vegetables and the flagship South Indian papad. It’s a cosy restaurant. If you’re looking for a fine dining then this is definitely not that place. It has a very traditional look resembling a South Indian environment. I had tried coin idlis and number of dosas in this place too. They were good. So if you’re looking for an Indian food in Korum mall, you can better go in this restaurant. Generally this place is not that crowded but you may require to wait for few minutes in the evening time
1) Mysore Sada Dosa: classic Mysore Dosa
2) Appe: These sweet appe were full of ghee and had a cashew in the centre. So soft and fresh! But this is not a dish that you can finished on your own, slightly on the heavier side.
3) Filter coffee: Classic south Indian filter kappi 😀
4) Onion Uthappam: This was nice and soft and sweet. Loved it.
Decor is good and true to the South Indian essence. Service was good too. Overall I had a good experience here.

Overall a great place to visit and have comfort south Indian food. The service is great and staff is friendly and courteous. Must visit place.
Banana leaf is located on the 3rd floor of korum mall, which is 10-15 minutes ride away from the Thane station. In all they have 6 outlets located in Thane, Ghatkopar, Malad, Andheri, Borivali & Santacruz. All these outlets are famous for their South Indian cuisine. Each and everything is served on the banana leaf, which makes it even more aesthetically pleasing. Ambience is pretty decent. A picture of Ganeshji made out of banana leaf is the highlight of this place. Staff is friendly and courteous, prompt service is also there. Everything cooked over here was served fresh. A perfect place to have some good time with your friends and family and enjoy the authentic south Indian food.

Banana leaf is a chain of restos serving authentic delicacies from southern India. I visited here with some of my close friends and had variety of dishes.
For the very first time we tried soup variants from south indian resto. They were Jeera Milagu rasam, Jain Thakalli Parippu Rasam. The soups were different from the regular ones you get in other resto. They were strong and will defntly clear your throat.
In south indian resto it is a sin not to have idlis. We tried idli starters. Palak Medu Vadai,Hyrabadi Tomato korma Idli,Mugai idli these are were tossed in different gravies. The best was hyderabadi tomato korma idli.
Paneer chatpata dosa, Rajni dosa, Kara masala dosa: the dosas tasted authentic and all were very good. Paneer 65 here is a bit different from other restaurants basically in south indian style.
Veg chettinad,Kai curry korma,Mushroom sukka were some of the main course veggies we had. Veg chettinad is highly recommended.
Appam,Neer dosa were the south ind8an breads :p.
Dakshin biryani, Kalan biryani are the biryanis served in clay pot and tasted best with raita.
Desserts you can miss on pineapple sheera and akhrod halva. Delicious and filling. Do save room for it.
Rava kesri, Semiya payaasam were the other two we tried. It was decent.
Not mocktails but juiced based drinks you can get here. We tried a few viz Pomegranate lemon mint cooler, Coconut punch, Fruit punch
Avacodo somoothie: all were perfect and had good blend of what it was meant for. Coconut punch and avacado are highly recommended.
The ambience is pretty cool to give a south indian touch. Thalis are served with banana leaf and you are meant to have food over it only. Staff is cordial and prompt to requests.
Do dine here with friends and family and indulge in some authentic delicacies.
Happy dining 😊
Banana leaf has been my favourite since years . I simply love their sambhar and chutneys 🤩🤩 It’s super tasty . Once again we’re here but was were in confusion what to order ... this time after gazing at the menu quite a some time we decided to try the Banana Leaf Special Thali . It was unlike other thalis !! It was indeed special ... we lovvvvved every dish on the thali ! But Malabar Curry stole the show ... it was finger licking good 😋😋 . Without a doubt it is a must must must try !
Had an authentic South Indian thali, taste were better than expectations for a South Indian restaurant, but however their staff didn't look professional and polite. Nice decoration, ambience and good feel inside this restaurant. Overall experience is satisfactory and do recommend to visit

We have been searching for authentic South Indian cuisines & were excited to visit "Banana Leaf", situated on 3rd Floor, Food Court, Korum Mall, near Cadbury Junction, Thane west.
The decors are pleasing to eyes & well lit, spacious comfortable seatings. The staff are friendly & suggestive to try their exclusive dishes & savour the authentic flavours!! The service time is ok & you can customise the level of spiciness required to suite tastebuds!.
Let's take a glance at the mesmerising food & drinks we had tried here!! The menu is self explanatory & tempting to know the different dishes!!
We started off with couple of chilling drinks like Evergreen, Mumbai Skyline & Twising Grapes Juice, we liked Grapes Juice the most, all the drinks were super cool to sip up in intervals & served in a trendy glass!!
We had Mulugutawani Soup, it was a southern classical style lentil soup garnished with rice & lime wedges. It was nutritious & fine taste!!
Paniyaram of the day, was exclusive, & worth to have!! The variants are awesome!!
We also had Cheese Potato Medu Wadai, it was totally awesome & hadn't tried like this before!! The blend of cheese, mashed potatoes & medu wadai was tempting for more of it!!
Banana Leaf Special Achari Idli, was again lip smacking dish, with extra spiciness & twist if Achari flavours tossed up in idli & served on eye catchy Banana leaf!!
We also had Thakkali Masala Dosa, it's a must try dish!! It's quantity was good enough, & chutney alongside were yumm!!
Next, Vej Malbar Curry, was a traditional curry of mix vegetables cooked up like Dakshin style & taste was impressive!! Good to try out!!
As well Hyderabadi Soya Curry, had good texture & spicy enough!! The quantity is good for sharing!!
For sidings, we had Neer Dosa, it's taste you can enjoy in South Indian Restos only!! Must try!!
We had Appams, were steamy hot & good to have!! Taste is good just like other dishes!!
Later, we had Vej Chettinad Biryani, it was wholesome in quantity & aroma was craving too!! Certainly highly recommended dish!!
For dessert, we had Madhurai Halwa, it was melting with every bite, looked appealing & !! Sweetness was good & served in style!!

Banana Leaf was as usual a very delightful experience. Today was a normal menu day but last week we had a gathering of about 15 people. The restaurant manage Mr Abhishek Shetty was kind enough to allow us to deciDe our own combination for the thali. It was a grand success and every person present loved the food. Kele it up Mr Shetty and team.
