Hands down ...this has to be one of the best outlets for vadapav. Its very economical to have on the go. The vadapav they serve is always hot and with lots of chutney coming to the chutney, the chutney is something extraordinary. People go crazy over the chutney. This place never disappoints me

Gajanan Vada Pav is something that is close to our hearts. I have grown up eating this Vada Pav as it was just opposite to the lane of my school. It tastes the same every single time. It serves many snack items but it is very famous for Vada Pav. The Vada is always hot or medium hot when served. It is served with Yellow Chutney, Dry Garlic Chutney and Mirchi Thecha which adds magic to the Vada Pav. It is at very affordable prices.The outlet is always crowded as they do serve many other food items like Samosa Pav, Bhajjiya, Patti Samosa, etc. If you love Vada Pav, it is a must try place !

One of the best vadapav outlet in thane. Although they serve various other snacks as well, vadapav and their special chutney is the most on demand snack Here. Located near station, it does not have a place to sit and dine, but you can stand and have there as well. It is served on a leaflet. Most of the times, you nay get hot vadas. The speciality or USP however is the yellow chutney and the green Mirch chutney which makes an amazing combo. If you are craving for vadapav, this is the first place you should be in.

This is the Best Vadapav i have had so far! The fried chillies with Besan chutney gives it perfect and different taste. I always recommend this place for Vadapav Lovers. Some unique style started by them. But now many places follow it!

A friend of mine from Thane once asked if I had Gajanan ka vadapav and I was like "no". That's it, the very moment, I was taken to this place and the order was placed - vadapav, bhajji (aloo and pyaaz) and nimbu paani. The first bite that I took sent me down a spiral - the vada was so fresh and tasty combined with yellow besan ki chutney - its a heavenly combination. I literally ate at vada pav in seconds. Next was the plate of hot and crispy bhajjis and to gobble them down with Nimbu paani. I guess this place is now like a catch up place for me and my friend in Thane. Food when combined with special memories makes it a more remembering experience :)

A true Thanekar is a big of this place and especially the Chutney! Any season any day any time there is a lot of crowd! Coming to Thane and not having Vadapav , ssly? The chutney’s served here are not normally what we see but something new. They have besan ki chutney and thecha and together the blend was great and loved the taste.
We also tasted Samosa over here which was not that spicey but proper in taste and balance and actually liked it

The vada is not that special but the chutney was good. I think it's made off chickpea flour(besan) I may be wrong but tasted good and green chutney made up of chillies and it was spicy. They will serve you the Vada pav in paper with a leave on it. I think the USP is the chutney and the serving style. Taste of vada in avg, chutney was the star of the show. All an all it was a good experience.
When you are in Mumbai or nearby places. You always wish, "भाई कुछ और खाए ना खाए एक वड़ा पाव तो जरूर खाना है". And as soon as you hit the road you will notice every food joint is selling Vadapav but only authentic ones will satisfy your craving.
With this I walked almost 15 mins from Thane Rly. station (west) towards Naupada and Reached Gajanan Vada Pav.
They served Vadapav with besan chutney and Thecha, trust me it was worth walking for 15 mins.
Apart from Vada pav they serve Samosa, Bhaji as well.

After 4 - 5 years i was finally able to go to this restaurant. I actually stay in Navi Mumbai and i have job here as well. So one of my friends from Thane used to get this Vada pav to the office. He used to get enough for 10 - 12 people.
And we used to love it. The highlight of the vada pav from here is the basean ka chutney. I am not aware of who else has this chutney but that is what sets it apart. I was going to Vikroli for some work so I took a detour on the way home.
The chutney is so yummy 😋. Just brush the vada pav with it and it's totally worth it. Even in the afternoon it's very crowded. If you love vada pav and if your in Thane you can't miss this.
The rate is also pretty reasonable I took 8 of them for ₹160. Took some home for family members. Try it and let me know.

The place is a bit far from Thane railway station, even though they have opened an outlet near station as well. Their speciality is their own recipe which is made up of chana dal. It is tasty though. Something new. Although their speciality is Vada pav but I liked their Samosa pav more. Both of them are priced at 20 Rs each. They even serve Nimbu Pani, which I would recommend along with Vada pav or Samosa pav.
Due to its popularity it is always crowded.
