We randomly decided to visit this place which is situated in the Yeoor Hills of Thane. The ambience is way cozy and you gotta be vibin' with it. The environment is pleasing. Moreover, the food here is delicious as well. There is variety of food served here. We had a Chinese Starter which they recommended and also their Chicken Triple Rice. It's was super delicious. Even the staff here is so welcoming & warm. Love it! A must visit with you friends, family or your loved ones.
So we was looking for a new place to.explore and suddenly this restaurant popped up on my notifications. Seeing it in yeoor I thought of ignoring but then said why not lets try. I do not regret my decision now. A really good place with an amazing ambience and good food along with courteous and friendly staff.

It's appropriately priced and just good to be at.
I love the way this place looks. The location is brilliant too - in the heart of the Yeoor forest. Always feels like I’m far away from Bombay when I’m here. The little koi pond and other touches add to the quaint appeal of this find.

An easy escape from the chaos of town. City forest is a crazy place with vintage looks and earthy feel. Good food, polite and helpful staff coupled with the drive up to Yeoor hills! Nothing can match up to this ambience. It’s not a much explored place for corporates but this place to totally recommended for a big group as well. The prices pretty much match the other resto in town. Recommended food would be the India / Maharashtrian ones because they are experts in it.
This place is a real gem hidden amidst the chaos of Mumbai. Natural forest kind of ambience, amazingly polite and helpful hosts, superb food and I can go on adding the superlatives.
We had cheese chilly and cheese chilly mushroom for starter which were nicely spiced and a lil diff than the regular Chinese dishes.
The dal and paneer pahadi were outstanding.
Even the cocktails were all pepped up.

The service was up to the mark.
From outside it looks small and not up to the mark but once inside the ambience makes you feel comfortable. It's a nice cozy place. The staff is extremely friendly and very polite. The food is good and service is also prompt. They have happy hours offering some good deals. The distance from the Upvan Lake is hardly 4 kms, so not very far to reach. Being Wednesday though, the place was almost empty. Will visit again during a weekend.

City forest is one of the amazeeee restaurants in entire Thane! It is so beautiful from inside as well as the decor is too good. The food is very tasty (licking fingers). The bar is amazing too. The quality as well as quantity of food is superb! Must visit! Worth for all your money.

Coming to the food the quantity was good and the taste was also good like to the other North Indi & Chinese restaurants. The veg Manchow soup tasted like a Flour water not at all good. Ill recommend Butter Chicken also Paneer Tikka Masala for veg and any North Indian Sabji would be good as the base gravy masala is mostly same.
I personally loved the Mocktail-Cracker & in Drinks Strawberry Martini. I also ordered Virgin Mojito but it was a miss. Half glass full of mint leaves n it ruined the lemon flavour to the core(check d picture).

We actually thought this was a Forest restaurant and reading the reviews we gave it a try.
On the first look before entering the restaurant we were in 2 minds to even enter as it looked like a small row house to us. We went pretty late in the night, but since we traveled all the way, we still managed ourselves to get in.
As we entered, it gave a Goan feel. We went on the mezainne floor and settled in. Non Ac, half open air mezainne had completed wooden logs decor. Very natural and look and feel, and to our surprise, we did not feel thr heat as well. It was extremely comfortable to sit without AC. Spacious and easy for kids as well. Ambience was nice and safe for kids.
We ordered Manchow Soup, Potato Wedges,Stuffed Mushrooms, Fish Fry, Cheese Chilli Starter, Paneer Tikka and Chicken Lollipops with some beer and wine.
The quality of food was very very good.
Taste was perfect. All the starters were blended well in right spices and oil. We repeated almost everything.
The Cheese Chilli Starter was one of the best. Summed up our dinner with a Dal Khichdi l, Egg Masala and Rotis which was yummiest.

City Forest is a very nice place. It is located in the Yeoor Hills of Thane near Upvan Lake. The furniture is completely made out of Wood which gives this place a very Unique feel. I visited this place with my Family and loved it.

I really don’t know where to start from, everything is good about this restaurant.
Ambience: it’s one of the most unique restaurant in Thane I feel. A ground plus one structure and having different set ups inside, outside and upper level is the best part of this place. It immediately gives you a feel of sitting in some Goa restaurant being in thane. The upper level also has a projector screen for live cricket/football matches. I’ve seen group of friends, couples for dinner dates and families, it’s a place meant for all kind of gatherings.
Owners of the restaurant - you will find the most humble and kind family running this restaurant with utmost care and hospitality at its best. They really know how to treat their customers well.
Drinks: you will find a wide spread menu, they have everything, like absolutely all good brands of beer, whiskey, vodka, wine, etc. they also have happy hours and various other offers on drinks.
Food - again you will find a wide spread menu offering you so much variety of food to have. Everything from veg to non veg, North Indian to Chinese, tastes amazing. The quantity and quality of food is good.
The effort one will take just to visit this restaurant at Yeoor will be absolutely worth it.

Tucked away from the city's hustle bustle, we stumbled across this tiny place in Yeoor. The exterior may not look much, but the interiors and spacious and warm. The use of space, surroundings and wood set the mood. The staff is attentive and suggested the best deals and food offerings. We settled in for a Pomfret tava fry, spicy prawns curry and baby corn Masala with rotis. The food was quick, extremely tasty and well presented. Loved it and for sure taking a few friends along for a longer visit.
PS: SGNP has started a fee for vehicles and people since 1st Jan 2019.

It tasted very delicious and tasty. Though we ordered the Half-one it had much quantity 4 people can easily have the half one.
Then to finish off gravy(as i told you it was having lot of quantity) we ordered plain rice. With rice it tasted even better.
To finish off with our lunch we ordered Sizzling Brownie. Brownies are all time Favourite sweet dishes to finsh off.
So overall it was one of the best experience. Looking forward to visit again.

We have tried 4 starters here
1. Cheese chilly (recommended by staff)
2. Panner , baby corn tikka (customised)
3. Prawns chilly
4. Chicken tandoori
Actually they have so long menu in every section that every one will get confuse what to try here so we asked their staff members to suggest some dishes
So they suggested for cheese chilly and specially customised tikka by our needs
Both tasted delicious
Cheese Chilly was dry and tasted so yummy and soft
Tikka was as good as chilly
Prawns chilly was sizzling in all those items
Covers were removed and then they were made in chilly that was great experience
I don’t recommend tandoori for explorer because it tasted as same as other common restaurants
But for tandoori lovers they have 3 types in it
And staff is so friendly, i hope that every couple will feel safe here
For family here they have common seating
If you have upto 20 peoples then you can have seating at ground side
Zomato gold is applicable here on drinks
A lovely place to spend time with family and friends. The ambiance is lovely and the staff is good. The food is lovely too. Had an awesome time and a lovely experience.
From outside, with it's white picket fence laced with plants, city forestt looks an inviting quaint little place. Once you enter through the doors, the place only gets better! With it's wooden interiors and warm lighting, it has a very elegant vibe. A few different seating areas, a couple fountains and plants scattered in the open seating area make sure that everyone finds a corner they like.
Coming to the food, this restaurant offers a wide selection of lip-smacking options. Most dishes we ordered were non-vegetarian as that's what the restaurant specialises in. A few must haves when you visit:
1) Prawn lemon coriander soup
2) Chicken Mumtaz kabab (MUST MUST MUST TRY!)
3) Tandoori pomphret
4) Cheese chilli (The only vegetarian dish we ordered. It was great as well.)
It's a great place to get away from the hustle of the city and have a good meal in a relaxed fresh atmosphere.

If you want to have dinner on weekends in a peaceful ambience then this is the place to visit and sit and spend some quality time with your family and friends.Ambience and environment was so good that you can sit for long time.
Now coming to food..we ordered murgh musallam and garlic naan...naan was absolutely delicious with thin crust and perfectly baked.Chicken dish was also good.
But the veg dish(paneer junglee) was average, it could have been better.
So I would prefer Non veg over veg whenever I visit this place.
Great place in a midst of Forest.. with all wooden interiors and a small in house waterfall with a pond.. sitting beside that was amazing..
Full bar option and Chinese, north indian, and continental cuisine available.
We tried Chicken jungle Kebab, Crispy Veg, and cheese balls for starters would recommend junglee kebab, Veg food was not that good.
For main course we had Chicken Gawthi and Paneer Masala with Butter naan which was good.
Then finally we had few mocktails. Pinnacolada, Death by Chocolate, and Fruit punch, Fruit punch was the best.
Overall experience good. Food was also of great taste with full Forest like feeling.

Situated in yehoor hills, it’s a long drive from the main city, but totally worth it as this little cottage style restaurant doesn’t disappoint.
Ambiance : entering, there’s a huge rustic style bar on the right side, there’s a lot of different places to dine inside the restaurant and one can choose depending on the number of people and amount of privacy one wants. We chose the most isolated part as we were six. The lighting is dim but just enough to eat. There’s an open stall that makes Chinese and street food right outside where we were seated. Adjacent to which was a manmade pond with fake animals.
Staff : the manager/owner was super polite and accommodating. The staff too was well versed with the menu and kind. Full marks there.
Food : other than hard liquor no other drinks were ordered so can’t comment on that.
For appetisers we ordered cheese pakodas, chilly chicken, chilly prawns, masala papad. The cheese pakodas and chilly prawns were so good that we ordered extra rounds of those two. For mains we had egg fried rice, butter chicken and naan and a green salad. All tasted incredible. Especially the butter chicken.
For dessert we chose Gulab Jamun, vanilla ice cream and kulfi.
The overall taste of everything we ate wasn’t really exquisite or unlike anything else we’d never had. It was ordinary but really good. Plus, you’d expect a place that far on a hill to be expensive but the prices were quite low. So I would really recommend this place.

Atop the Yeoor Hills, this restaurant comes as a suprise. With wooden decor and forest theme, you are sure to love the ambience.
Now, I visited this restaurant late night, after 23:00 and the road will definitely give you some chills. Here, I ordered Chicken Lemon Coriander Soup and Chicken Pot Rice.
The soup was very subtle for taste buds and had nice aroma. I would highly recommend it. Then, the Pot rice served was sumptuous and yum. The gravy was well balanced with spices and Chicken cooked to perfection.

Visited last Night with friends.... From outside it really feels like some small village house... But it's a really nice and pleasant place to visit... Awesome seafood, dim lights, supporting staff, and endless time to spend... I would recommend to visit once with friends or family... It is really a great experience...
Visited this place for my birthday dinner, along with my husband and daughter. As mentioned in other reviews, the doorway is nondescript, but the inside is a pretty spacious place. We chose to sit outdoors, there was also an option for rooftop. The decor is nice, staff friendly and helpful. The food was great as well. Perhaps few more options in the dessert section would have been amazing . Leaving that aside, the dinner was perfect. Would love to visit again.
We went to this place on a Sunday night. It was pretty much crowded. But we got a place very quickly .. thanks to the courteous staff. The service was very fast. We had pre ordered gawthi chicken and bhakri by calling them in evening that same day. So our main course was fixed. But the starters were very tasty. Do try their Paneer in barbeque sauce. Nice ambience and nice food . Thumbs up
Located in the lush green jungle of Yeoor hills, this restaurant serves some of the best non veg dishes.
The entry feels like we are visiting some Gaon ka Ghar. But ur opinion pleasently changes once you enter in.
They have 4 types of sittings, and we preffered the AC one.

The prawns were a bit charred and also low on flavours.

Generally, thai curry is coconut milk based but here the gravy seemed a bit different, though it tasted good.

To sum up, it's a very nice, cosy and different place you would find in a bustling city of Thane. You can surely go in with your bae for a date or a group of friends just to hangout and chill.
Would love to visit them for dinner, as suggested by the owner.

Being a Thanekar, me and my friends we visit yeoor hills quite often. This place was previously being run under a different banner or management in the past. The place now looks lively and vibrant.
One thing I can assure you that, the food served here is hot, delicious and mouth-watering as compared to the other restaurants in the vicinity. We were just two of us, yet we opted to order one dish after another. I am not a big fan of sea food, but my peer ordered a Pomfret Tawa Fry and she was of the opinion that this is one of the best fish she had in recent times. We also ordered Chicken Jungalee Tikka and Schezwan Lollipop and believe me they were scrumptious too. Lastly, we ordered Chicken Dum Biryani it was well cooked with the perfect blend of spices. We are looking forward to visit the place once again this weekend and I would recommend you guys too, will once again post my reviews.. Cheers! Happy Foresting ;-)

To start our meal, we ordered the Chicken Manchao Soup. The soup was flavorful and had a delightful balance of spices. It had tender chicken pieces and was the perfect warm and comforting appetizer to kickstart our culinary journey.
Next, we tried the Bombil Tawa Fry, a popular seafood dish. The bombil (Bombay duck) was expertly fried and had a crispy exterior while remaining tender and moist on the inside. The dish was well-seasoned and served with a tangy dipping sauce, adding a burst of flavor to each bite.
Moving on to the Chicken Lollipop, we were impressed by the presentation and taste. The lollipops were well-marinated, tender, and had a delightful spicy kick. They were served with a tangy sauce, enhancing the overall taste and making it a great choice for chicken lovers.
One of the unique dishes we tried was the Coconut Solkadhi. This refreshing and tangy drink is made from coconut milk, kokum, and spices. It served as a palate cleanser and had a perfect balance of flavors, leaving a refreshing aftertaste.
For the main course, we ordered the Chicken Angara Masala. The dish was packed with flavors and had a smoky and spicy taste. The chicken was cooked to perfection and served with aromatic gravy. It paired well with the Butter Wheat Roti, which was soft, buttery, and a great accompaniment to the flavorful masala.

We have tried prawns and chicken dishes which was awesome in taste.
Will like to recommend dishes - chicken murg musallam, Prawns rawa fry ( soft prawns to taste).
Chicken Banjara was good and can be made spicy accordingly.
Chicken Red Velvet was the best in taste😋.

Forest themed restaurant where everything gives good vibes and feeling of close to nature.They serve quite unique dishes and tastiest too.They also serve mocktails,cocktails and liquor too. Best is one can enjoy outdoor seating or Ac and non Ac sections. I tried Naan E Shaan and thats so unique where the filling goes in the pocket of naan.woww..Tried it anytime? Also Veg zaffrani is a must try and the concept is very different.Chicken handi is a lot quantity that can serve four.Enjoy some pleasant weather too and that completely free.,😀

A great cozy place at yeoor hills. Place has got proper Goa vibes. Good Food, decent priced drinks and nice music as well. A must try for people close by. Despite the summer it was pleasant in the evening here. Winters and monsoon times this place would be even better.
Firstly about the ambience. This is located in Yeoor hills which immediately adds a plus point! They have managed to create a forest like using raw wood decor and they done it well in the limited space they have. There is roof top with projection TV as well as Ac room at ground floor for small group. They also have outdoor seating arrangement. We visited during day time but I am sure at night this place would look cosy and beautiful

Food - We had chicken for lunch. All the variants they served were very tasty.
Valet parking is available. Ambience is nice. Not many auto are willing to go to this location. The chicken biriyani is best. The Masala papad is too salty.
Place is awesome on top of yeoor hills . Food is awesome and location makes it more awesome. Cost can be little lowered for few items so much people can come and enjoy.... nevertheless it was nice experience they have projector and music which was awesome.. they also gave a rose 🌹 which we both liked a lot.
The food was awsome...We tried all the fish starters I.e.Surmai n Bombil tava rava fry,prawns tandoori...In main course we tried Chiken gravy in agri style,roti and butter kulcha..The food was so tasty n in each n every dish the fish or chicken was so tendered and fresh n soft. A must recommended place.. Ambience is very soothing...The waiters were so polite and it is really appreciated.The service was very quick..all the orders were on table in very less time...very much timely order preparation....They have maintained the authenticity of each dish.Truely a worth place for the money we spent.
