Whenever I visit my friends place this is at my service as I loved the mutton sukka we ordered once and since than it's always on the ordering list for us with bhakri. Also you can try out the crispy fish fry

The decor is very soothing to the eye and makes the good food all the more enjoyable.

1)Chicken sukkha Thali..8.5/10
The chicken was an onion based dry gravy with a sweetish tinge of a flavour to it.
The accompaniments were Egg gravy, Chicken curry( no pieces) and refreshing Solkadhi.
2) Bombil Fry...10/10

Visited along with office friends to enjoy Friday lunch. Its a simple yet welcome place with nice photography on display. Place is a must visit for all fish lovers. You can enjoy a wholesome meal for a very reasonable price. The quantity is wholesome and extremely delicious. We enjoyed fried prawns and fried bombil for starters and surmai thali for main course. There is a nice selection of ice creams for dessert. Overall a must visit place for fish lovers.

I've tried their Bombil Fry (usually order 2 places 😉) their soft and crispy just the way my mom prepares them - 5/5.
Surmai Fry - Fresh, cooked with perfection. 4/5
Dal Khichdi - When I'm sick this is definitely on my list and specially with the bombil fry is doesnt make me feel like a patient.
Fried fish quantity is ok but the portion size 3/5 of the dal khichdi is less.
Service and Ambience is good - 4/5.
Whenever I've ordered the fish is fresh and if your a fish lover should definitely try this place. Thought I always done a home delivery but would love to visit this place soon. The feeling of home cooked food - Swad Garcha it is !
Been to this place about 4-5 times now. The ambience is average, comfortable. Service is decent. Keep in mind that this is not a professional chain of restaurants. It’s managed by regular folks who are very good at making delicious food. Have had prawns thali, egg curry & rice, dal khichadi & chicken thali. All the dishes were well made & tasty. Must point out here that the quantity of prawns in the prawns thali was less. Otherwise a good place for a decent meal. With Corporates offices coming up in the vicinity & an upcoming college, Swad Gharcha will certainly have more customers.
Good malvani food...very tasty and authentic.. But is a little on the expensive side.. Also don't always home deliver.. But if you are well planned this one is definitely a good option to order in from
Ordered for the first time from Swad Gharcha. To be on the safer side, I ordered just one Prawn Biryani.
First impressions- the biryani was accompanied by 4 additional pouches containing onions, kachumbar, chaach and a killer side dish of small sized shrimps.
The Biryani had 8 pcs of Prawns and that too of decent medium size. The taste was awesome.
The shrimp accompaniement was amazing in taste.
I felt a little let down on the quantity of rice though. Otherwise, everything was well liked by my daughter who ate away the last morsel.

Since our first rating and review , this place has changed drastically. Met the couple behind the venture who have kept their focus and grown substantially since then . Goodluck and keep up the momentum. The waiting period has improved. The food quality is very homely and fresh. We had ordered a fish thali , chicken sukha and egg curry. Loved the size of surmai. Egg curry was too spicy but taste was good. Rice bhakris were fresh and soft. Keep up with the quality always.
Good food. Prawns fry was good and prawns biryani was cooked well. So a nice place to order seafood. Order was prepared in a timely manner and was delivered by zomato quickly.
Best thing about this place is the SURMAI dish and it really feels like it is made at home..Tastes different than at other places and in a really good way.Also the veg thali tastes awesome .Plus point - Solkadhi😊✌️

Been there with office colleagues for lunch, we ordered chicken and mutton handi, taste wise was awesome, vade is one of my favorite. Solkadhi's taste was also awesome and Biryanis' chicken nd prons it was also a mouth watering. Overall we satisfied with taste nd cost. Will recommend this place. Its really worth to visit..

My first visit and that was a bang on . The owners a lovely couple with ever smiling and eager to assist attitude were next to me . I had already made up my mind to taste their surmai fish thali , and that was a perfect choice . A handful of a PC, fresh as ever fried to perfection. I recommend it to all fish lovers . That's what comes to my mind whenever I order food from Swad Gharcha( literally meaning homely flavours) . Especially there prawns masala is simply amazing. This quaint little joint managed by the Khanvalkar's is becoming popular day by day so much that they have transformed it from just a take away counter to a proper air conditioned restaurant. One can observe the professional setting of their kitchen, very much visible. Great going guys
It's a good joint away from the hustle bustle and just a few minutes drive from hiranandani estate... the food is something which you would crave for once u have tasted it ... the owners take particular attention to prepare it themselves .. and you can feel the love with which it has been prepared ... truly to say MAA no yaad aayi....
Just like the name it's best place for "Authentic Malvani Fish Food" if u wanna eat fresh fish cuisine this is the place to have....Started with Bombil Fry and Prawns fry which was perfectly cooked crisp with amazing taste...Trust me both tasted different and not like most of the other restaurants having same taste for all fry fish. Main course we had Paplet Thali, Bangada(black paplet) Thali, Surmai Thali which was really good. Best part about the thali is we also get a fried fish piece (as per size) of respective thali.Solkadi is a must try 👍. We also tried Chicken biryani and Chicken Rassa and Wada, it was good too...I would rate it as below

I visited this place to try out Prawns thali. As the name suggests- it had the Swad gharcha! If you are looking for non-vegetarian thali then please visit this place. The quality and quantity is fair enough to the menu price. I would love to visit again.
Visited this place multiple times. The food has not disappointed till date. Bombil, prawns, pomplet, surmai, chicken, and the veg - all the thalis are excellent. The tandul bhakri is perfect. Fish chutney adds great flavour to the thali.
The dishes have apt portion size for the prices.

PS : the menu currently on Zomato is quite old.. they do have more options(with revised pricing I guess). They have also opened up an AC section which is well made and big enough for team lunch etc
They actually mean it not only the food is like gharacha but the people here don't let you feel you are not at home but in a restaurant I tried kombadi vade which is a very famous dish in Malan and I didn't find any difference which I had at my friends home it was truly awesome and
Very delicious fish Thalis, also the price is very reasonable. Taste is really nice and like home made food. They have pan flavoured kulfi which is a good treat for pan lovers..

Good place for seafood lovers. Authentic maharashtrian food. Tried solkadhi which was not that good. Fish fry was good. Vade were crispy and delicious. Chicken kolhapuri was tender and tasty.

Fastest delivery in this area. Not a fan of their packaging but totally loved the service. I’ve only ordered chapatis from this place since this is the only restaurant that serves chapatis around Hiranandani estate.

It's a restaurant you wouldn't miss if your craving is for seafood.
The proportions are good and their recipe and taste is fantastic. Even the bhakari is soft and fresh.
The Solkadi is a great appetizer and too good.
All preparations were fresh so you need to preorder or have the patience to wait till your menu is ready to be served.
Albeit towards the higher side but so is their quality.
The staff and the owner are humble and give you personal attention.

If you are in and around Thane west near Hiranandani estate, Kolshet, Ghodbunder area then do try Swad Gharcha restaurant food. The food is tasty and similar to "Gharcha Swad ~ Your home food". We ordered Thaali's. All chicken, fish dishes were fresh, hot and delicious.
Coconut Fish Curry had kokum too.
Food here will satisfy everyone's taste buds in your family. Must visit.

I visited this Seafood Restaurant in the Hiranandani Estate area of Thane and I can't surely say that this a Hidden Gem.
We simply loved the Seafood especially the Surmai Fish Thali. One of the most delicious Thalis I have had in a very long time. We also loved Halwa Fry, Bombil Fry, Teesrya Masala with Malvani Vade.
They gave these cute little Ice Cream Bites after our Lunch and also they serve Kulfis. I loved the Strawberry Kulfi.
I simply cannot wait to go back to this Restaurant for delicious Seafood.

Have ordered multiple times from this food outlet, each time have got tasty non-veg food from this place. Also, here the solkadhi is also too good.
Food taste was ausum..Fish was dam fresh only feedback is management has to work on the "service" they provided especially on our visit dated 26-Jan-22. Even other families were also complaining on the same note. But thanks for the tasty food.

Reasonable pricing and excellent food.
A very small and busy place. One really needs to be patient as they are a couple that runs the entire show. Having mentioned that make no mistake that the taste will compensate for all the turmoil in your tummy during the wait for your meal.
