Harish Lunch Home a small outlet but again hidden Gem interiors in of Thane. Right Opposite Khopat Bus Stop. We had Bombil Fry and Surmai Thali both the dishes were well made and the Surmai was steamed and not fried which made it all the more nourishing. The Bombil fry was well cooked and less spicy served with tasty green chutney the quantity of this dish is a bit on the lesser side.
But again this restaurant is easy on the pocket and a must-visit if u are a seafood lover.
Harish lunch home is located at Kopat- Thane (W) which provides variety of dishes for vegetarians & non vegetarian both. It is popular known for thali dishes which are very flavourful and mouthwatering also pocket friendly. If you take thali you get to choose between roti/chapti/bhakari which is great for customers as they have wide range of options.
You have to wait for table but this wait will be worth when you will taste any dish.

We had the surmai tawa fry, bangda fry, prawns fry, bombil fry and a prawns masala for main course. The bangda fry was not good rest all were good. Prawns fry was the best. I would have rated the place 3 or 3.5. I give it 4 stars because you can't beat the price.
It was first time I visited any lunch home seriously and thanks to Harish Lunch Home it will not be last time for sure

As read many positive reviews about this place, so visited this place & order for surmai thali, the size of fish was good compare to the price, the most satisfying thing was taste of the fish & greavy, solkadhi served was bit watery but overall the food quality was good & value for money.
This place looks like a regular hotel kind off but the tandoor preparations theyserve are really mouth leaking experience, specially they serve tandoori lollipop highly recommended must try dish from their menu
Though the small outlet. Food taste is super awesome. Must try Chicken Tandoor Lolipop here. The mint chatni that we get with tandoori is also amazing.
Good food is the harish lunch home. I visit with my friends. I have to prawns biryani, bombil fry, chicken masala, fried rise the all food also tasty and good.
The hotel is best for Mangalorean food. The taste of food is great. But only negative point is the home delivery is too late and we have to wait a long time for food
I am a regular at this place is close to where i work and their thalis are really awesome. Nice soft bhakris crunchy surmai (seer fish?)/bangda (mackrel) the masala feel so homely. As it's visited only during lunch breaks i haven't tried anything else so won't comment on that. More on the tahli you'll also find the fish gravy, sol kadi and zavla (tiny dried prawns) pretty good.
Ambience isn't that great a small place they also hv an ac section which accessible from outside through a very narrow entrance. Do visit if you're in Thane and wish to grab a quick lunch.

I visited this place as we wanted to try out seafoods particularly along with veg Indian foods. The experience was amazing. The staffs are very efficient & kind. Ordered Chicken Handi, Roti and Neeta Rice with Sol Kadhi.
Chicken Handi was perfectly Spice (as it should be) Chicken pieces were cooked properly.Rotis were good so as Jeera Rice.Sol Kadhi was Little Watery and also there were no Coriander at all (Since I am Malvani I can distinguish better in Good and bad When it comes to Sol Kadhi).

Ordered surmai thali which was cooked very well. I didn't order the big size fish but yet the piece was of a good size. Value for money. Asked for rice bhakri instead of chapati which was good as well. Hoped to get paya soup which they didn't serve other than that it was a good sea food meal

I had ordered pomfret fry king size and tikka masala!
The restaurant is located about 1.2-1.5 kms frm my place and approximate time given for delivery was 30-35 mins.
It took 65 mins for the order to arrive. The wait was a little too long.
Well the pomfret was good. The masala was typical Maharashtran style and was finger licking good. The fish was very fresh and the size was good too. They also delivered extra fish gravy without even me asking for it.
The tikka masala was a little too spicy. Now i am a guy who likes spicy food,despite that i found it a little extra spicy! The chicken was very fresh and tender! The quantity was decent for 2. Only if it would have been a little less spicy the rating would have been a definite 4-4.5

The best part of Harish Lunch Home is food and thats what matters most!
We ordered all sea food items i.e. Bombil Fry, Surmai Fry, Pomfret tandoori and prawns koliwada! All were awesome in taste. (If you dont like spicy food, you need to mention less spicy)
Finally we ordered Chicken Lapeta, which was also very good.
Price is reasonable which is plus.

Ordered a full butter chicken with rotis. The quantity of a full butter chicken was more then enough for five people. It also has value for money and tastes good. Not sure bout ambience as took a take away. One can try for non veg dishes at a chepaer rate.
Went for a late lunch with friends. We ordered chicken manchow soup, buttermilk, chicken crispy, mutton kheema and chapati.
Chicken Manchow soup: Tasted average. Served with fried noodles.
Buttermilk: Tasted just as it should be.
Chicken crispy: Too crispy to even identify the chicken inside it. Not as expected.
Mutton Kheema: Yummy for it's pricing. It went well with the chapatis. A good portion enough for two.
Overall a good restaurant with good food at a reasonable pricing.

They serve a range of Thali's which are priced very decently. We tried the Surmai Thali, Pomfret Thali, Prawnd Thali and the mutton thali and we loved it. Prawns Sukkha that we ordered was out of the world. Bangda Pulimunchi was also nice and spicy. The Biryani here is also exceptionally well.
They are very well priced and maintain the food quality. Only area of opportunity is that most items in the Manglorean SPecial Items section was missing. A place that boasts of such good Mangalorean food, I would expect them to serve delicacies like Kori Roti, Neer Dosa etc...
After searching a place near khopat i saw these place small but decent . But really i tell you the food quality awesome. Chinken tandoori delicious. Chicken Masala also delicious but quantity very less .But enough for 2 people.
Harish lunch home is very near from my house , a small kind of restaurant , makes good food at cheap rates with good quality as well as quantity , i had chicken fried rice and. Chicken dum- Biryani , both were good . I recommend this place for you all , if you want to enjoy your food at home , because ambience is not that good but food matters !!
Random team lunch plan lands us at this place for a nice meal. we ordered thalis here few friends choose the pompret thali, few chicken thali but i choose the prawns koliwada thali. In thali they provide bhakri which is plus point as it makes the meal very much intresting, they have fried prawns and prawns curry along with dried prawns, solkadi,papad a proper traditional thali its bit on spicy side but thats how it is authentically!
While husby tried and rated Neer dosa, bangada fish curry manglore style to be awesome and a so-so chicken friend rice, the veggie me tried phulka s with mutter paneer, both of them were good but not great. Good place to go once in a while. Very pocket friendly and probably more good for non vegetarians. Yet to try more to figure out my veg dishes here.

The lunch homes are an ubiquitous part of Mumbai's culinary history. As much as the Irani cafes that have held their own for over a hundred years, or the new entrants - the dosa and pav bhaji wallahs with their innovative and fresh take on cheap and filling street food.
Harish Lunch Home is probably one of the oldest restaurants in the Khopat area. It used to be a thali only, women unfriendly, non AC place until a year back. They renovated, expanded and took over the shop next door as a dedicated kitchen, added an AC section, improved lighting, and voila. The new avatar can give fine dining restaurants a run! Their USP is simple - cheap, tasty food, without compromising on the quality.
On the menu are the usual suspects - Mughlai, Indianised Chinese, and Mangalorean food. Unfortunately I have only ordered in, and to "parcel" fish would be sacrilege. Even with the recent price increase of about 30℅, this is still the maximum bang for the buck restaurant anywhere in Thane! The staff is really helpful especially the home delivery ones.
My only negative feedback is the uncle on the phone who takes the orders. He seems rude and disinterested-it will put off anyone who's a first timer. But this isn't to undermine his ability-he successfully delivered an order placed at 12:15am. Along with a packet of cigarettes from the pan wallah!
Here's to a restaurant that's started well before Zomato and has well adapted to the needs of the new generation!

One of the best place for seafood lover, we quite often order for food and visit this restaurant, located 5mins away from eastern express highway this place offers quite lot with regards to taste.
Small restaurant unique glass window show kitchen few seaters as in couch, and good choices in the menu.. went in the restaurant and ordered for our favourite mandeli tawa fry viz Mumbai sardines pan fried with Indian spices with small portion of mix salad..
than we called for this dish don't remember the name though but yes it chicken was chicken breast stuffed and was silver foiled it looked like a packed hot dog but the way of cooking is they put directly in the tandoor(clay oven) once cooked they serve it in a plate with bed of cabbage and beetroot along with side portion of salad and chicken cut in pieces, loved the flavours & the aroma.. very heavy though.
We also called called for bangda(Mackerel) Rawa(semolina) fry which was quite good, crispy and cooked to perfection less oil and flavourful..
Egg fried rice.. perfect combination very less oil crunch veggies which is perfect combinations with egg and flavoursome.
We have also called for several deliveries at work place for chicken lapeta, bombile(Bombay duck), egg rice and its sets u off...

This hotel is a hidden jewel for fish lovers. They serve a wide variety in fish at a reasonable price. The fried fish served here is delicious and they serve a really thick slice of surmai unlike many malvani hotels in the town. They have a price range for the thali according to the size of the fish but it's worth every penny. You might not like the veggies that they serve in the thali instead of sukkat but it can be overlooked.
North indian and chinese food is also served here. Service is good. The hotel appears dimly lit and the kitchen is right in the middle of the corridor.
It's not a place if you want to enjoy luxury dining. The food served here is good and

Harish Lunch Home my go to hotel for ordering food for a night out when parents are out of town. Living in Kolbad the delivery is really quick.
One of my favourite dishes is the Mutton Kheema and Bhakri. A small place if visiting the hotel, does have a separate AC area, reasonable rate. Havent visited the hotel that frequently but ordered for home delivery quite a few times. And I assure the food is quite good and pretty sure you will not hesitate ordering the food or visiting the hotel many a times once you have tasted the food.
visited last week as one of my frnd had got promotion on his job so we had a small dinner party.. As it was 11.30 pm and we had to go to any restro as we were really hungry.. We were searching on a road and we saw harish lunch home was not closed, yesss we entered..
Good sitting arrangements and staff was very frndly specially one guy named Ganesh, he was very much frndly..
We ordered butter chicken, chicken malvani masala and chicken tandoori.. Oh my god... what a taste..
chicken tandoori was beyond expectation.. you wont get this taste even on Dhaba i guarantee it..
After lot of chicken dishes we ended our dinner with ordering Dal Tadka and jeera Rice and again it was very very delicious..
We were fully loaded that i took help of ganesh to stand up...lol....

Good food, non veg tastes good. Ambiance not that good. It's a place where you can crash in with your friends and have some food, it's not a family restaurant. It's cheaper as compared to other restaurants.

Harish Lunch Home is a fantastic spot, conveniently located opposite the Thane bus depot. The only hiccup is the parking situation. However, the seafood here is nothing short of amazing, and the pricing is reasonable. The welcoming staff members add to the positive experience, and the service is impressively fast. A must-visit for seafood enthusiasts looking for a satisfying meal.
This is in Khopat opposite the Bus stop. Good ambience (only in the AC room), tasty food and fast service makes this restaurant a nice one. Rates are reasonable. I love the chicken thali and chicken Singapore fried rice here. Starters are mouth watering. Service is very good. The owner sits at the cash counter and is friendly. Waiters are polite. Less space between the chair and table so you'll feel a little uncomfortable while sitting.
Limited seating, small food joint with almost no parking space but neat and clean. Had option of AC / Non AC Dining. Ambience is not like a cafe. Good part is food was tasty and had malvani, punjabi, tandoori, chinese dishes on menu and not too costly. Surmai thali costed ~320...and has 2 variants i.e king size and jumbo.
Oil used in frying fish was fresh as there was no foul smell which I encountered at many other places. The curry in thali had spicy sour taste and was balanced. Green chutney, rice bhakri, fried fish was all good. Sol kadhi would be rated 3.5/5. Size of surmail fish in thali and pomfret was beyond expectation at this rate. Chicken lollypop is offered in fried as well as tandoori options. Tandoori ones were well prepared. Chiken sukka had a tasty masala but had less chilli possibly because we were accompanied with a kid.
One of the most economical eatery in Thane. There are very few places which serves both Punjabi and Chinese food which is this good. I suggest if you are craving non-veg fist and low on budget this is a place for you. It is low on ambience and bit slow on service but they cover it up with taste of their food.

This place is a hidden gem.The Nonveg food tastes fresh every time i visited this place. Tried Mutton Thali this time and as usual the taste was great! Fish foods are the main attraction. There is close to none parking available for both bike & car.

Was travelling to Nashik from Mumbai and wished to have a nice sea food lunch near thane. I usually preferred malwani sea food restaurants in thane but I was a little late and most of the restaurants close down at 3.30 pm only to open again in the evening.
Hence, after a little search, I found Harish lunch home which served mangalorean sea food and thought of giving it a try. Have to admit that it was a winning decision.
Tried the Bombay duck fry and Surmai and prawn thali. Every dish was packed with extravagant flavours from coastal karnataka. The curry leaves and peanuts packed curry was to die for.
