Visited this place when it was just getting started.
This is small place for a group of 4-5 people. Seating is available for around 20 people.
This place serves one of the best bao's I ever had. The tasty sauce, the tender chicken and hand made bao's everything just blended in for a perfect recipe.
Apart from that the Chikdi which is chicken kichdi though it sounds weird it's one of the best thing I ever came across.
THE BEST: Smoky chaas.. have it once and let me know if you ever had any better thing in your life. The burp's literally gives you the charcoal and chaas flavour half of the day. I was simply in awe of this dish.
The peri-peri chicken was too good and the butter chicken with butter Naan was just awesome.
Just give a try to this place. It's my personal favourite.

Wanted to order from ChewBao since long after reading the reviews and their unique names.. Finally got to order as a quick snack before dinner... I wasn't disappointed at all..
Order was delivered by restaurant rider(self delivery) as it was out of zomato delivery radius.. Even after heavy traffic on saturday evening, delivery was within promised time frame.. 👍

Ordered online for chicken periwala BAO .well I know how authentic bao is made and taste like and it was just as expected .Great texture of bao and chicken was well cooked and tasty ,great packaging and quantity ,totally worth it ...please come up with more invention in same so we can try more often .keep it up

For me , chicken is the foremost when it comes to non-veg and along with it a dish that I truly cherish is butter chicken that I can eat all day !!This outlet had a different quirky name (I understood that bao is a type of food actually) and I got in and their dish better chicken struck me ....I thought it must be a spelling mistake , so I pointed it out to the manager and he said that it was a newly innovative dish that they have started serving . I ordered that and boy did they surprise me ! I was truly awestruck from the first bite itself and was amazed by their quality of gravy in the better chicken bao and add to it a freshly prepared bao you get a combination that's hard to resist . I truly enjoyed it in every sense Along with the well prepared chicken and woul recommend this to anyone who wants to try something unheard !!!
Am a huge fan of konkani type foods and one of the dishes that tastes best and authentic in the koliwada's is the chicken koliwada . Heard about this place from a friend of mine who recently visited this place as he moved into the locality recently . I was not sure about my choice of ordering chicken koliwada as it was a dish that was long ago lost in the koliwada's and was pretty hard to be found where it was made as authentic as possible . This place pretty much surprised me with their perfectly prepared newly innovated chicken koliwada !!!! I was so tempted that I ordered one more and finished that too . What made me attracted towards this dish was this was as simple as it could get but with a new age twist that caught me ! I would certainly recommend this to any chicken lover out there!!!
Was just there for take-away of some quick bites as I was running late and wanted to have my stomach full . Being an Ardent non-veg I ordered the chicken stripper bao for the time being . They were quick at service and I could straight away tell that they were freshly made from the awesome aroma of the well proportioned spice mixes that were hitting right my nose.The chicken was also perfectly made and coated with masala's that gave it a refreshing flavour and most of all ..... price being on the slightly higher side they sure did fulfill the expectations of one hungry guy , i.e. good taste along with stomach filling quantity !!!!!
Being a curious foodie I wanted to try something apart from the mainstream Indian and Chinese dishes .....so searched on zomato for nearby exclusives and found it and keeping fingers crossed went ahead and ordered the paneer periwala bao and along with it hajmola shikanji as an appetizer .....surely the zomato guy was a bit late with the delivery but still the packing of the bao was great and the it remained hot and as well as soft which indicated it was fresh and the paneer was also perfectly made as it had perfect blend of spices that made my stomach go calm from it's roaring !! 😁😁...... coming to the hajmola shikanji ....I think it is a perfect appetizer for everyone who wants to get refreshed and also created a bar of expectation which they certainly go above.....overall an very good experience . We started with lemon corriander soup.The soup was beautifully presented. The taste was a big thumbs up. It was mouth watering.Then we tried butter chicken bao.Oh my god!!! It was really amazing.The chicken was beautifully cooked and it tasted really awesome.Not only the dish but also the service done here is appreciable. The way chewbao present their food itself is simply amazing.Once we get out of the restaurant we feel that it was worth.
Chewbao thane outlet is one of my most favourite restaurants and its baos are the best.Each and every bite of it makes you realise the integrity of the recipe.Butter garlic prawns bao is my personal favourite.I recommend this dish to all my friends.The presentation and the taste of the dish is simply amazing.Not only baos but all the dishes of chewbao are high quality and mouth watering.
Chewbao is one of the best restaurants in thane and paneer periwala bao is my favourite.I have tried almost all the baos.The stuffings in the bao is really awesome.Each and every bao is so colourful.The sauces they use are so yummy. Chewbao was recommended to me by one of my friends.I went there for the first time with my parents.The ambience itself was so welcoming and perfect that I felt that we had come to a good place.We ordered the roasted mushroom and garlic soup.The taste was so awesome.The flavour of garlic and the aroma of the soup was mind blowing.Then we opted for Tandoori butter chicken.The layer of masala on the chicken was so yummy that we ordered the dish once again.Chewbao is really good in presenting the food.

Sounds like going to war. But it is so..... A little more spicy than its American counterpart... Gives you a kick as it hits the tongue.... Could have been a little lighter to be a true blood jalepeno item.Could have been a little less cheesy too.
I recently visited this outlet with my office colleagues as one them had recommended the baos here. We had the chicken koliwada bao and the kolaperi bao and were very impressed by the taste ! The chicken was very tender and juicy! This outlet has good potential and better taste!
Good place to hangout with friends for quick bites. Location very convenient but parking will be a problem in day time due to busy roads. Amazing ambiance, clean washrooms and good service. Excellent food but quantity not worth the price.

Didn't know the concept of bao the first tym as it's not that much popular . So just stopped by this place one day to have a quick bite and boy was I surprised! Being a first timer I had a quick chat with the manager and he recommended me to have the better chicken bao that I felt was something new , they saw they innovated the classic butter chicken and made it better! The aroma of the chicken made my stomach growl further for more and on having the first bite they proved their freshness by simply being so soft right from the first bite!!..Also the thing that instantly hit me was the beautiful combination of spices along with the chicken mixed with it that straightaway made it a vfm product . The chicken and panner dishes they serve here are one of the most underrated but awesome dishes at that price point in The city . Try around dishes here without hesitation and let the tasty dishes speak for themselves with everyone craving for more! ❤️❤️
Chewbao was recommended by my friend and he took me there, I would say it was a great experience. We ordered the stripper chicken bao and the chicken Kaoliwada both of them were very delicious and cooked well. I would definitely come back for more and would recommend this place to others.

Whatever 'sides' you order, the taste's going to be predictable. The Baos were really tasty! Although they didn't completely have the Chinese touch/taste, the Indian remake was lip-smacking!
Looking at the menu Better Chicken Bao really does catch your eye, and honestly I think it is a better way to enjoy Butter Chicken. You guys need to try the Better Chicken before you judge this place.

We went here on a Sunday brunch.The baos were great.The bun was nice and soft.There was a generous amount of in them and topped with lots of sauces .We also ordered a panfried bao.It had a crispy texture.The paneer bao was just heavenly!!! Amazing experience..definitely a go to restaurant!!!
Chew Bao is one of the newer outlets in Thane.It has a cool menu, serving amazing Asian, Arabian and North Indian dishes.To start with, we ordered both the drinks; Hajmola Shikanji and Smoked Chhaas.Smoked chaas had a nice smoky flavor,but Hajmola shikanji was the best.

This outlet is really a great place to spend your time along with delicious food. For starters we tried the stripper chicken - fried chicken strips crispy and perfectly cooked then we tried the chicken periwala bao - Punjabi gravy with some nicely infused Peri Peri flavour and honestly it was the best thing that I have had in a long time. Overall the quality of food was really great.

This outlet is a really cool place if you want to try something different .The baos here are really great ,prices are reasonable considering the service that they provide. We tried the chicken kolaperi bao - kolhapuri gravy with some Peri Peri flavour that cost us 200 rupees. Overall a very good place if you are into Desi fusion of an international dish.

I like the food, the India twist given to Baos is really nice. If anything you should try Chicken Kolaperi Bao. Cheese Popcrunch from the sides menu also pack a punch and are really cheesy.
I was at the outlet because my friend who loves Asian food forced me to, but believe it or not now I've become an Asian food fan as well, Cheese Croquette Bao is my favourite of the two which we tried.

This place. It's really nice. I had the cheese croquette bao filled with real tasty cheese and smoked chass. The chass is really cool and the croquette too. I recommend them to all.
It was my first time to chewbao. I ordered chicken tikka bao. It was looking awesome with aromatic golden pieces swimming in an incredible sauce. It was also delicious. The rates are pocket friendly. you must try it.

Chew bao Thane is the most amazing place where one can enjoy baos with a desi twist. I went there for the first time with my friends and I'm glad that my visit was not in vain. I tried the paneer periwala bao which is an excellent blend of Punjabi style paneer with the twist of Mexican peri peri sauce. This place is absolute bliss.
Going out and trying something new to eat has always been a challenge for me. But my daughter insisted and took me to chewbao, Thane. This was my first bao and I loved it. We had Jalapeno cheese bullets baos and Magik Mushroom baos. These baos had a wonderful taste and the price was pretty decent. What I liked the most was they serve Hajmola Shikanji and smoked chaas to drink which is truly a new concept. This place is worth going and the value for money is also good.
It was a great time with family. We ordered Magik Mushroom Bao,which is mushroom packed with Cheesy peri peri mixture and tandoored in clay oven and it was very tasty... We Also Ordered Paneer Periwala Bao punjab style paneer gravy infused with peri peri flavour!!! We also had a drink called Smoked Chass It was a superb refreshing drink!! For every foodie out there, this is the place I would suggest. A perfect place to try an international cuisine with some Desi mix. We tried cheese omlete bao- a Mumbai style cheese omlete inside the bao then we tried hajmola shikanji a prefect drink, honestly we were quite hesitant to order it at first but it didn't disappoint us. Overall it was a really fun experience.

Tiny place in a row of similar, hip eateries on the back street of Hiranandani Meadows. Excellent baos with delicious fillings, served in pairs and delivered quickly, with a smile. Think of this as an oriental alternative to a Frankie. Will be back for more. Many times.

This small outlet has a huge potential is what I can confirm with my visit to this place. It isn’t just about the BAO but a whole lot of fusion dishes which amazed me. The owner is coming up with a new concept and brand, named CHEW-LA; which will focus on fusion Indian dishes, retaining the Indian taste and adding flavours of different world cuisines.
Chew Bao is situated in Hiranandani Meadows, in the lane which houses a number of food outlets mostly for fast food. This place however has an advantage of serving both fast food and near homely food. Yes, the Baos are delicious but there is more to the menu which will appeal to the crowd. It’s a well deserving 4.5 for me.

MY FAVOURITES:
PANEER KHURCHAN BAO – This creamiest paneer bao was my favourite. I loved it better than the chicken bao to be honest. Coming that from me is a rarity. Also the spicy mayo to accompany was a delight. The best part about the baos at chew bao is they are soft, the filling is wholesome and they are fusion so you can have Desi taste in a Videsi bao.
BETTERCHIKEN BAO – Yes the butter chicken presented in a better way plus good to taste. As I love butter chicken I stuffed my mouth with this.
SMOKED CHAAS – Chaas is a great digester, but this was not just a delicious tasting chaas it had a smoky edge to it. I heard smoked chaas and thought that is something unique and I straightaway had to have it. The first sip itself had my eyes pop out with surprise, such was the effect of the smoke.
CHICKEN KOLHAPERI – Spicy as the name suggests, I was licking this gorgeous red gravy with my fingers once I was done with the cheese basil naan and kulcha.
SMOKED DAAL – Chew Bao has their smoke game lit AF. The daal was thick and dense and the smokey taste lingering all the way through. This daal tasted outstanding with the CHILLI BASIL RICE. By the way this chilli basil rice was great on its own as well.
CHEESE BASIL NAAN – if you have it on its own it is nothing less than a basil infused cheese paratha, and that’s what I did on my first bite. But trust me the kolhaperi with this naan is the go to combination.
SULEMANI TANDOORI LOLLIPOP – tasted as Mughlai as it sounds. The mixture of sweet and spicy was really playing well for me and hence this lollipop landed in my favourites list. Their pesto and normal tandoori were just okay in comparison to this one.

THE REFRESHING DRINKS:
No need to explain you about how a LEMONADE can help you in this heat, but another very fruity drink named the STRAWPPLE was a delight on all the spicy goodness that was going on.
That brought me to the end of my meal at Chew Bao. Do try their baos and the whole lot of unique smoked items which were absolutely brilliant to taste.
I got a major craving for baos so my girlfriend took me here for a treat. We ordered stripper chicken bao and paprika chicken bao along with green apple mojito and strawapple. The baos were served hot and were delicious. Sayali Jori

The baos are soft, the sauces are saucy and friendly to your taste buds, smells fresh and tastes yum. My friends love it. Ideal starters for house parties. Although I'm a hardcore non vegetarian, can't get enough of their delicious paneer baos.
Chikhdi is also one of my favourites from this joint. Would highly recommend.

Bao’s were really tasty ... it’s situated in kinda happening place in thane ... they dnt have much of a sitting but u dnt need that in that area .
I visited this place late at night, around 12 and they were still open. The options were limited as the outlet does not serve after their closing time. We asked for two different types of chicken Bao and only Butter chicken Bao was available.
My friend had praised this outlet so I was very keen on trying this out. However, I wasn't much happy with the output.
A baozi or simply known as bao, bau, humbow, nunu, bakpao, bausak, pow, pau, or pao is a type of steamed, filled bun or bread-like item in various Chinese cuisines, as there is much variation as to the fillings and the preparations.
Since it was a take away, the packaging was of top notch. Maximum of my scoring was for it's packaging. But I don't count it as value for money. They taste good. The Bao is soft and the fillings were also good but doesn't justify the pricing.
Overall, It's a must try. I haven't heard of anyone selling Bao but it was good try. I would however not try it again.
The baos are good. Worth trying. If you are not used to baos, you might wanna try other things from the menu.
The quality of the chicken is good. Nothing suspicious there :P
Amazing baos...this place never disappoints! Must try the butter chicken bao... A unique delicious treat! The bread is soft and tasty with a really tasty chicken filling.
Ordered from Chewbao recently and liked it quite a lot. Their menu has great food with a twist. The butter chicken Bao was amazing. I also had their chicken tikka biryani in peri peri flavour and it's quantity was very good. Another thing I liked about Chewbao is their perfect and attractive packaging. Will surely try it again!

Amazing place.. quick service.. smoked chaas, berry lassi, brocollicious soup and jalapeno bullet bao😍😍 is a must try.. and for non vegetarians..its heaven..💃 do visit..pocket friendly and also good for take outs.. if you are looking for something delicious to treat your taste buds.. then chew bao is definitely your destination..!!
This place was a pleasant surprise with the food served. We were on a lookout for a place that serves soups. This place has limited varieties of soup and we ordered two soups broccolious and roasted mushroom with burnt garlic. Both were amazing. Since i was always curious to try a bao, I tried the one suggested by the staff, Butter Chicken Bao, even that was awesome. The soft buns with butter chicken filling were quite to my taste.
I wanted to taste the salads in the menu, but they served none as there were no orders.
Another issue could be the stingy odour from the water body in the vicinity that makes dine in an issue.
To sum it all, it's a place to get good food and the good part is that they deliver, next in plan is to try delivery.
We wanted to try this place after a hearing a good review from our Thane friends. This a very small outlet and mostly provide take away service. They do have 2 3 seating arrangement. Service is little slow but its worth a wait as food is really delicious. They have a speciality of adding smoked flavour in various cuisines. Although the place its very much inside, one should must try their take away options (pacman themed packaging)

Bao is steamed bun, they make fresh Buns and stuff it with smoked paneer with spicy peri peri masala. Really mouth watering and must try.

Really delicious smoked paneer butter masala, you will get smokey flavour in every bite

Interesting fusion food especially the Baozi here which is pav made in house. Definitely a one time try. Going again is a personal choice. Nothing healthy here. Curries are oily and spicy.
Nice cosy place. Good food. I ordered the chicken Koliwada, long fries type yummy crispy chicken.
The quantity is good enough for 3 people.

Do try Smoky chaas and chicken tikka bao here I'll highly recommend.. And chickdi is good enuf to get u crazy
Their baos are great. You get two per serving, with a mustard (I think?) sauce. So far, I've liked all the flavors I've tried. Stripper chick, Peri Peri, and better/butter chicken are great.
The buns themselves are soft, chewy, and have their own flavor.
My only complaint is the hardness of the box they use to serve the baos, which become difficult to remove without cutting into them at least a little.
