Must visit Twenty Nine if you are in a bigger group. It is a very innovative concept and most of the dishes we tried were cooked well and gave us a taste of that State. We were a group of 7 and we could order many things on the menu
Veg Dumplings - 5/5 (Yum, I am a little partial towards dumplings)
Kashmiri Harissa Roll - 4/5
Chandarpuri Bonda - 5/5 (Must try if you haven't ever had it)
Paanki Chutney - 4/5
Potato Chops with Sanmeholi Chutney - 4/5 (Similar to Bonda, pick that over this)
Laal Hara Chaat - 4/5 (If you want a salad)
Appam with Vegetable Stew - 4/5
Puneri Missal Pav - 3/5 (I was quite disappointed with the taste and flavours of this one - can miss it)
Hyderabadi Mirchi ka Saalan, Laccha Roti aur Papad - 4/5
Pyaaz Kachori - 3/5 (it was only filled with onions, can miss it)
Rajma Chawal - 3/5 (It was highly creamy and a little sweet - can miss it)
Kesar Pista Phirni - 4/5 (not too sweet and a good consistency)
For beverages, we ordered the Punjabi lassi, Shikanji and Aam Panna and all of them were good in taste.
The staff was courteous, they even accepted our Zomato Gold though we forgot to mention it earlier and they even cancelled a dish for us.
Overall, it was a great experience and we wanted to still try other items on the menu. Would like to visit it next time!
Very innovative concept and well executed. Sizeable portions combined with Zomato Gold makes this an ideal destination if u have a good appetite. Also the food presentation is very well thought out.
Conveniently located at the ground floor of Sharanam Hotel on the service road of main highway, adjacent to RTO Thane.
Gets a bit noisy during the weekend.
A decently made restaurant known to a very few inspite of being a pure veg restaurant which are usually very famous, this place is not know to many and needs more awareness.
Located on the service road near thane rto, the interiors are pretty good, there should have been some soft music in the place as it gets very awkward there was complete silence when we came.
Inspite of section of the restaurant being closed, the service was too slow and the restaurant was quite empty being a sunday night. Service needs to be improved majorly.
So they serve different delicacies from different states, which are thier specialities.
We ordered khameeri roti and kasturi sabzi being a speciality from kashmir, the sabzi was delicious, roti did not like that much too much maida and not cooked well or maybe the khameri roti is that way, too chewy. Then ordered the standard jeera rice dal tadka which was also very decent.here they have roti and sabzi combos, dal and rice combo..

Very tasty and nice food. Very polite and nice staff. Enjoyed the dinner. Worth every penny. Will visit this place again. Must try Rabdi GulabJamuns.
A good quiet place with good ambience. Good for family and friends. Not crowded generally. Has decent options in jain food. The menu is balanced.. With selected preparations from different states of india..
Although they should consider adding an item or two every few months.
Paneer Tikka masala with kulcha was very tasty. Dum biryani was well cooked with right amount of spices and stuffing. Seekh kebabs had very good taste but little delicate. Mawa jalebi with rabadi was yum and good for people with sweet tooth.
Overall service - 5/5
Food - 4.5/5
Ambience is lit 😍
Nice place for dineout. Ambience is very very impressive. Although service is quite slow. Food quality can be improved little bit. They could add few more regional dishes to their menu.
A very soothing experience with a very simplistic ambience which sometimes is needed , food here was cooked with lot of love and so it tasted the best . We had Bhuna Kofta and panner tikka with Kerala parotta. I suggest a visit for its simplicity and authenticity as it has taste of all over India. Visit needed to explore its whole menu.

Very nice food, prompt service. No rush even on weekends so you can be sure to get a table. I recommend to go for the Tandoori Platter, skipping soup and the Vegetable Stew and Appam to follow with. For desert, you can depend on their awesome Jilebis any time of the year!
One can get here almost all the different types of indian dishes. We tried Kashmiri, kanpuri and Dilli. Quantity is great plus the taste is so satisfying. I recommend to try dilli ki tokri. Kudos.
If you bored of having routine this is the place to kick you tastebuds abundant variety of untried dishes and delicacy dessert awaiting we when when one of our friends recommend very nice concept and a pure veg restaurant for veggies.

Will suggest you a prior reservation.
The place was awesome..😍
The interiour was superb 😉
The food was delicious... 🤗😘 🤤
The only thing that was not good was time taken for the food to be prepared 😐
Going by the name..this place serves dishes from all 29 states of the country! So, you'll find great variety on the menu. The food is delicious, service is prompt (we went on a rainy weekday night..so there weren't many people).
I would love to go again.
Positively different experience, I ordered litti chokha with baingan bharta. This delicacy is a popular Bihari cuisine, made in sarso oil. Being an explorer I decided to eat the whole plate which I obviously couldn't. However the taste was authentic and the portion could serve two easily. People with less appetite can also accommodate 3 in one portion. The littis were cooked properly and bharta tasted sumptuous. Ambience was ok, it didn't matter to me as I was craving for some good food. 😀 Keep eating stay happy
India is replete with a diverse cuisine, thanks to the geographical terrain and a varied culture. 29 states has tried to capture the essence of this variety in its totality.Spices from the north, coconut from the south and deliciousness of the east and west, they have it all.
We started off with the Kashmiri harissa roll. Not sure if it was Kashmiri enough, but it was delicious. Diced paneer marinated in tangy gravy with spicy chilly and capsicum, it was rolled up like a burrito and tasted pretty good. It was spicy and had a great flavor.
Second one was the Dilli tokri chaat. Crispy base topped with stuffings, chopped onions and veggies, this one had a touch of spice and slightly tangy flavor. It was crunchy and amazing. It had a proper North Indian touch. This one had flavors of the Nawab. Shammi kebab comprised of mashed veggies, peas, carrots and more and was grilled just enough. It could have been spicy and flavorful.
The Crispy paneer is something that we had tried earlier. Soft paneer coated in paper and slight spice was served with green chutney. It was delicious but slightly oily. The oil could have been lesser.
For the mains, we tried the Bhuna kofta curry with kerala paratha. Balls of mashed veggies in a spicy gravy with a side of malabari paratha made for a great dish. The malabari paratha could have been softer and more flaky. The Kofta curry was fully loaded with masalas and tasted really good.Another dish that we have tried here earlier is the Paneer tikka masala with butter kulcha. A simple and basic dish, this one had spice and flavors with an adequate amount to suffice one person. The kulcha is good and the gravy is soothing.
Coming to rice dishes, the Kanpuri tikka pulao is the best that we have had. Laden with two different kinds of gravy on a bed of rice and two separately marinated paneer cubes, it was soulful and filling. The Dum biryani was served in an authentic style with a side of vegetable raita. It was aromatic and had a peculiar taste. Biryani is the ultimate way to end a meal and this one was pretty good. Our meal was paired with the lemon and mint cooler and the shatoot ka ras. Both of them were fizzy drinks and loaded with flavors of tangy lemon and a dash of pineapple, with apple. Both of them were pretty basic.
The place has some amazing Indian dishes with a very formal vibe. It makes for a great family restaurant and a nice place to spend your evening.

The place is a good treat for foodies who like to get a taste of different state cuisines. The ambience is also very attractive along with the friendly staff.
What a beautiful place this is... A very nice concept to bring on best foods of 29 states under one roof...
We tried the kashmiri food over here which was simply amazing especially the rolls..
Do visit this place with your family
This place has a good ambience.
They serve a variety of speciality food items from different states which makes it different from rest of the restaurants.
The staff is friendly.
The service is bit slow but manageable if you have a good company!
Coming to the food we tried-
• Masala papad- they serve 2 papads in one serving. Tasted good.
• Dilli tokri chaat- It was a must try! Absolutely amazing for chaat lovers. It was like a basket filled with samosas, chole gravy and many chutneys.
• Doodiya kebab- This was a good dish. It basically was seekh kebab stuffed between 2 paneer pieces with mint and sweet chutney. The combination was amazing.
• Paratha basket- For main course we ordered paratha basket. It consists of 12 parathas.
Paneer parathas, Aloo parathas and mixed vegetable parathas. I mainly loved aloo and paneer parathas.
• Double ka meetha- For desert we ordered double ka meetha. It was okayish.
• Masala chaas- Being a Gujarati this was a must try for us :P It was amazing again.
Overall we had a good time! :)
Very friendly staff and unique concept to serve food from 29 Indian states. Liked Sev Tamata and Bhakri while Indori Palak Puri turned out to be Palak roti. Khichiya churi was good. Overall nice concept and decent food. Will visit again.
The food is quite good here. Litti Chokha, Pyaaz Kachori are really good. This place has some of the best cuisines from all the states. Pure vegetarian but good 😊
A perfect place in Thane to taste the 29 States traditional Cuisines... Located at prime location with good parking facility. A prompt service by the staff.. Do taste Puneri Misal & Jodhpuri Kachori...
Amazing food !! Loved rajasthani dishes as well north east , do try tokri chaat and also chole bhature and sev tamatar nothing is out of the box presentation but the taste is not usual n yum .. so if we r thinking its the regular dishes n nothing special then u missing the most important sense i.e sense !!
28 states in different languages of their own state written on the wall impressed with it ..
Ambience was amazing. Service was up to the mark. Food and its menu was just outstanding. And talking about price it was just budget friendly. Overall I would just recommend everyone this restaurant . Staff was cooperative and I add this restaurant to my bookmark and one of my favorite.
I took my mom for lunch here and the food and service was good. I think because we went at lunch time we were the only ones there and the staff was able to focus on service to the point that my mom was just telling me that the starter we ordered was too sipcy for her and the staff herd this and upfrontly offered her a yogurt. I'm not sure if this level of service would be there had it been a peak rush hours but if it is then its a really good place to bring your family
Review under **** Category (please see link in my profile for classification) About 29 (as chain restaurant not this particular place)Concept is fabulous, delicacies from 29 states of India . The dishes are not authentic but customized to suit mass taste which may be ok, even Chinese or Italian restaurant also do that. But I would suggest to reduce use of modern ingredient like baby corn, paneer etc. Only very few of the Indian dishes have these things as original ingredient.Staff is nice but they don't have complete information about the dishes which is not a good thing for concept. They can make menu more interesting by showing state or something about that state against dish. Not all states are covered. I would suggest if they can start celebrating each state each month to have more variety from that state. Now about this placeVisited on weekday lunch, reasonably occupied.Ambience:- Sober..(4.0) Staff:- nice and smiling..(3.5)...(as said above don't have complete information about dishes) Service:- ok..(3.5)...Time taken for preparation Music:- Silent..(1.0) Tableware & Cutlery:- chinaware, good quality..(4.0)Napkins:- Paper napkins and wet towel at the end...(4.0)Menu:- Nice... (3.5) Food taste:- Tasty...(4.0) (but not authentic) Quantity:- Sufficient...(5.0) Presentation:- ok ...(4.0) Price:- Appropriate...(5.0)When I visited there was a group celebrating something which made place very noisy.Nothing about this place but in general I don't endorse serving wet towels, I feel it is unnecessary waste generation.
Interesting concept and great food.
You get to explore cuisines of almost entire India under one roof. Been there twice now and both the times have been completely satiated.
The best lachha paratha I have ever eaten!!
Hyderabadi mirchi salan, Kanpur tikka pulao, the potato appetizer with mustard, litti chokha excel.
Do try this place.
And with Zomato Gold an extra reason to go😜
Amazing concept it's newly opened with a different theme where you food combos from different states.. Taste is quite good.. Do try Hyderabadi mirch salan
Service lacks back...
Overall 4/5
This is one of the best restaurants in Thane if you prefer veg. Visited this one on Sunday with parents and it was very worthwhile experience.
To begin with I was wondering why is named 29, but once I was at the table and looking at the venue I realised 29 states 29 different dishes from each state hence the name 29.
The ambience is really good it's really simple and a very good place for family get-together. The staff is very courteous and attentive.
We ordered
Dilli tokri chat 4/5
It was really good the chat comes in edible tokri a very interesting concept.
Panner tikka with nan 4/5
It was good but not something I haven't had tried before but I liked the idea that Nan comes with dish itself so you don't have to decide what you want to have it with, this is same of very other dish they all come with an accompaniment bread to have with it.
Sufiyani dum biryani 4/5
It was one really good veg biryani I ever had the aroma of spices was literally mouth watering I am not a very biryani person but this one is must try.
All in all it was a good experience and value for money as well.
Would totally recommend it to visit your family.
To begin with has good parking place and very spacious restaurant. Unlike the common Sunday hustle bustle.. Place is not off shelf north indian fine dine restaurants.. Its nice :) Come here for great culinary experience specially for vegetarians.
Staff is very friendly. One asking for green chili, they said should we fry it little bit.. We said even better :) thats what one likes at dinner table.
Must try guys... Concentrate on main courses to try many of them from different states. Jalebi is sumptuous, classic one with rabdi...
The place is a revamp of the erstwhile restaurant of the group....d staff is very polite n quick at service....d main attraction is the theme of the menu where u hv one specialty of every state....but u really need to be exactly know what kind of cuisine interests ur taste buds...also there portion of main course is sufficient for two ppl...
Considering that we were just two of us we started off crispy panner which was a good dish followed by kanpuri panner tikka rice ...the rice needs to be more saucy have more gravy.... however d panneer tikka was cooked well...
Ambience wise the place is bright....not too many seats occupied on our visit....
This place is easily accessible as it is near Teen Hath Naka, Thane.
A pure vegetarian restaurant with a unique menu is what 29 is all about!
They serve combinations and you can also order extra breads if you want to!✔️
What we had 🙎🏻♀️
🔹Masala Papad-
A must try dish
🔹 Paneer tikka masala with Butter Naan -
A perfect main course! Highly satisfied
The quantity is perfect for two people
🔹Dal Tadka With Rice-
The Dal tadka was not that great!
Quantity perfect for two people.

Very nice concept and unique dining experience. Tried khichiya churi and Indori Puri palak...but the dishes were good. Worth coming back and trying other options.
A newly opened and a third outlet from this brand in the city of Thane which already is becoming one of the major food hubs of the suburban Mumbai.
The restaurant is located in the already known Sharnam hotel and they have taken over the restaurant space from the same.
AMBIENCE :
It is very nicely made, well lit and spacious with very comfortable sitting. Since this is a Pan Indian cuisine they have a wall displaying the name of the Indian states in their local languages, which was a very unique decor to come across.
SERVICE
Was above average, mailnly due to the kitchen, but the staff out in the dining hall was perfect and upto the mark. The captain and the servers were very polite, warm and prompt. The service was a bit slow mainly because i feel the kitchen was busy. But as a good will gesture they offered us a Veg dumpling and a phirni as a apologetic getsure which earned them full marks.
FOOD
POTATO CHOPS, uniquely named dish but it was a batata vada with the twist. The crust was nice and crispy and overall spot on on taste front.
VEG DUMPLING were average. I think the menu is not justified on this kind of pan Indian cuisine.
CRISPY PANEER was also different again very nice crust and paneer was soft and fresh.
TANDOORI BHARWAN KHUMB were good with green peas mashed masala to fill in the mushrooms and grilled . Taste wise they were good and also different, not the typical of what we get elsewhere as mostly bharwan kumbh is cheesy.
The dishes we found on very authentic regional front in terms of taste and presentation were,
CHOLE BATURE
AWADHI PARATHA
RAJMA CHAWAL
PUNERI MISAL PAV
KHAMEEE ROTI WITH KASTURI VEG, it was basically a mix veg preparation punjabi style. very rich and tasty. The khameer roti was also soft and nice.
MATKE KI DUM BIRYANI was a miss of the day as one can get better biryanis elsewhere.
DRINKS included
PUNJABI LASSI, the main point about this was the consistency. We are used to get the thick lassi everywhere but this was a thin watery one, but perfect in term of taste.
KALA KHATTA SHERBAT reminded of the childhood times roadside gola . Great taste.
MY PICK from the menu goes as
POTATO CHOPS
KHAMEER ROTI WITH KASTURI VEG
CHOLE BATURE
AWADHI PARATHA WITH LAL MIRCHI
PUNERI MISAL
KALA KHATTA SHERBAT .
To conclude, even if this place offers veg only option, it will surely win the hearts of many mainly due to the great taste of food they offer. Have seen people seeking Pan Asian or even World cuisine, but this restaurant has come up with the theme of tapping of already very diverse plus our vast food culture, which individually I am very much proud of.
So a total thumbs up from my side on variety and taste of food.
Newly opened in thane it serves only vegetarian so it's the one of finest for them.
pretty cool idea of decor has been shown on wooden planks. you'll get all types of food from gujrati to kashmiri. It's pretty bright and give feels good vibes. Punjabi dishes are so good in here. service was good. And it's a value for money.
Tried:
1. Hyderabadi Mirchi ka Salan + Laccha Roti - Salan was light on spices & well made. Roti was crispy.
2. Indori Puri Palak with Khicha churi - It's actually Palak Paratha with Moong stuffing. This was well made
3. Phirni - Yummy and had a nice texture.
Though they served non-jain by mistake instead of jain as requested by us, they were quick to apologize and gave an alternative.
Ambience - Lovely. The high ceiling works well to create an openness
Prices : Reasonable given the variety , ambience and quality of food.
Will visit again.
Had been their today evening for dinner. Nice spacious place well furnished.. relatively vacant for a Saturday night.. around 50% of the capacity. Ordered pyaaz kachori n shami kebabs in starters.. kachori was excellent something different worth a try.. shami kebabs well made but not out of the world as mentioned in some of the reviews..Main course bhuna kofta and Malabar paratha.. totally vfm.. desert jalebi rabdi .. excellent.. All in all a very nice place serving innovative dishes.. extremely reasonably priced.. will definitely visit again
P.S- Mgmt. please increase ur advertising budget seems ppl aren't aware of u... I HV seen places not even half good filled up to the brim on weekends
Today we were looking for something Indian and this place comes to our Zomato suggestion list...The name 29 caught our eyes and when we went through its concept we were mesmerised ( all regional delicacy at one place).
Located in the heart of Thane i.e. panch pakhadi beautifully interiored with mirrors and hanging lights. Spacious and perfect place for family dinners.
Staffs were very polite and helpful and were ready at your service they even helped us in deciding our orders which turned out perfect☺️
We ordered
*Staters*
———— A four star platter———-
1) PYAZ KI KACHORI directly from land of dessert Rajasthan , the filling consisted of sautéed onions, mashed potatoes and lots of spices which was deep fried in oil. Only place where they can improve is that the crust can be lil more crispy.
2) PANEER HARRISA ROLL consisted of paneer chunks covered in harrisa sauce served with coriander and Besan chutney.
3) CRISPY PANEER it was grilled and then coated with churis of papad as a coat. We really didn’t like this one because of its burned smell.
4) TOOKRI CHAAT this was the best among all shaped in a bowl with fillings of potatoes, peas, banana chips, samosas with varieties of chutney.
My overall rating for STATERS were 3.5/5
——MAIN COURSE——
BHUNA KOFTA CURRY with KERALA PAROTTA
The koftas were made of mix vegetables and crushed paneer, the gravy was spicy and served with the soft parathas . I will give them 4/5
—-DESSERTS——
Misti Dahi from my place I.e. sweet Bengal😍 for this I ll give them 5/5 because Kolkata ki yaad dila di.
—-DRINKS——
They have varieties of it but the best was SHATOOT ka RAS a mix of mulberry apple and pineapple juice served with soda which was truly soothing and best in this soaring heat. It deserves 5/5
P.s. They have everything in Jain menu as well😄
Totally recommend this for dinners with family and friends so that more of us will connect to our regional taste over foreign ones.
Writing reviews after 2nd visit to this hotel. I loved the concept of restaurant where different dishes from 29 states of our country are served . As of now i have tried tomato soup in soup category as they have “soup of the day” concept. The taste of soup was awesome or in other words ( अगदी घरी तयार केलेल आईच्या हातचे Tomatoचे सार)
In starter we tried ‘kashmiri harissa Roll’. The quantity is good enough for 2 ppl and it was really tasty as paneer pieces were soft.
In main course we tried ‘bhuna kofta curry with Kerala parotta’ and ‘khameeri roti and kasturi sabji’. In “Bhuna kofta...” the kerala parotta was similar to lachha paratha and was very soft. Khameeri roti was butter naan garnished with green herbs.
Rice:- Palak rice; it was served with matka dahi and fried chilli. The taste was Ok.
Desserts:- we tried “Bengali Misti Doi” which was ok in taste and serves just 1 person and “Gujarati Baked Dessert” which is boondi mixed with rabdi. The quantity was up to the mark.
Simple but nice ambience. Awesome theme to have all states of Indian food..
Starter : paanki with chutney, papad churi since they didn't had khichya churi
Mains : inanyat-e-kashmir
They have uniquely created all states best dishes
Go on people enjoy all food there.. Atleast you should try all the dishes, go with big gang..

I liked the place and the concept of bringing the delicacies from all over India under one menu card.
We ordered Dilli Tokri chat, veg dumplings and paratha basket. The food was great and the quantity was good. As dessert, we ordered phirni, which wasn't as great since I have had better ones outside.
Being from K'taka, I looked for a special dish from K'taka which, disappointingly, wasn't on the menu. However, on pointing this out to the staff, he explained that the menu will be revised after 6 months and the required inclusion will be made.
The staff is polite and the service is prompt.
I would strongly recommend this place, if you want to have a pure vegetarian meal.
Had been to this restaurant for a family dinner (it was my mom's birthday) and it was amazing to say the least. The decor, the ambience, the staff, the food - Spectacular.
Moving to what we had here:
Soup of the day (Tomato shorba) was exceptional. It is the tatsiest tomato soup I've had till date.
For starters, we had the Dilli Tokri Chaat which was just perfect and Doodiya Kebab, which, being the Paneer fan that I am, I found delicious!
For the main course, we weren't too hungry (with all the tasty stuff that we had eaten) hence called for a single dish and it happened to be the best part of the meal, Hyderabadi Mirch ka Salan with lachha parathas.. I regret not having enough space to savour it all the more!
Since it was my mom's birthday we needed a good dessert and the staff made it special for us by serving phirni with a candle on it.. The gesture was as sweet as the phirni!
To sum it up, it was a lovely experience.. Definitely visiting the place again! 😊
I went here twice. Service here is very good and staff takes care of your choices.
Whereas my expectation on food was far higher in terms of authenticity.
Pyaaz kachori (Rajasthani) was given with dry redchutney on it ( Maharashtrian style) and red chutney Paste ( onion tomato chutney - tasted like South Indian chutney).
Khameer roti from Kashmir too was not very authentic.. tasted like any other roti.
Jalebi was a heart winner -Crisp, hot and rabdi was beyond perfect -not very sweet.
Though it did not taste as authentic I loved the food as there aren’t any more such restaurants in thane mulund. So I will surely keep visiting again.
Ambience - 5/5
Service - 5/5
Menu - 5/5
Food - 5/5
We had ordered for -
1) Soup of the day - Tomato Soup.
2) Starters - Masala Papad, Doodiya Kebab, Dilli Tokri Chaat.

Each and every dish from the mirch ka salan to appam and stew was pulled off immaculately. I would highly reccomend this place!!

Super place. went for In laws Anniversary & the food was superb everything we called for was amazing from soups starters to main course to deserts. We asked to taste a palak soup since we had a kid along the portion was as good as normal Restaurant would serve. The palak soup & Kesar Firni was complementary. The staff is very courteous & they also charged service charge for which they did say if we wish not to pay they will reduce the amt. but with such food & staff there is no question. A must visit.

29 - Twenty nine is a restaurant newly opened on service road. The restaurant serves delicacies of 29 different states. I won't explain in detail about the restaurant as the same has been explained by the others in their reviews.
The best thing about the restaurant is that the main course gravies are served with the roti of their own state. Every dish is served with a gravy or vegetable and a roti combo.
Bhuna kofta curry with Kerala Parotta: The saffron curry was thick in consistency and came with 4 kofta balls. The spiciness was mild and came with two parottas.
Litti chokra & Baigan Bharta: This was served with two vegetables and 3 stuffed breads. These stuffed breads looked like ladoos with a thick crust. One of the vegetable was crushed brinjal while the other could not be identified. This was slightly spicy than the previous.
Masala Chaas: good
I will surely visit again and add a more detailed review after my next visit. The service was good and my visit was worth it.

The decor at this place is done by writing the Regional names on wooden planks.
Doodhiya kebab -highly recommended from the Chef himself. Must try
Kanpuri Tikka pulav- topped with two different paneer gravies . One is Malai Paneer and the other is Paneer Tikka . Quantity is sufficient for two people.
This place gives you a positive vibe. It's bright and spacious.
Ambience is good.
Service is good and quick
Good food, good ambience and different concept...you get to relish food of 29 states on India under one roof. Hope to visit them soon to try different states :)
Well, kudos for the concept they brought on the table. Representing every State & UT with their special dish. Served fresh on to your table. The food quality is nice and fresh, one of the best I've ever felt. Thought the typical taste of the delicacies is a little bit missing but nothing so bad that it should stop you from visiting this place. A must when you have people from different tastes going out for a lunch/dinner. Super awesome staff, managed our experience really well. Has some really good talented folks who will suggest correct choice as per your likings. The biryani was a bit disappointment but still get a 3/5 for they preserved the essence of making it the original classic style.
How do I even start to write about this restaurant.
Actually this isn't a restaurant but it is a place which serves you some prominent dishes from all across India under one single roof.
In a single night I tried food from - राजस्थान, उत्तर प्रदेश, बिहार, दिल्ली, पंजाब and trust me I am not kidding.
Before writing specifically about the food I would really like to appreciate the fact that Mr. Nishekh Jain ( The Owner) I guess took a lot of effort behind bringing into reality the whole concept of 29.
Not only the owner himself but the entire staff including the Chef and the one involved in the management are very knowledgeable about their dishes and recipes.

Update 9th September 2018 - Google Maps location and its actual location doesn't match we had to roam around for 10 minutes before we could find the place.

It is situated just 500 meters from the RTO office, so after having a terrible experience there we went here to fulfill our hunger.
They have a wide variety of dishes from all over the country. The service is quick and the staff is polite.
We had Chole Bhature, Punjabi Kadhi Chawal and Chaas.
The serving size is a bit small and not enough for two people.
P.S. They are a Zomato Gold partner.

This hotel has 29 states Famous dishes in their Menu.

Menu has lots of variety. One dish from each of 29 states of India. That's why the name.
Food was very good. But seems a bit overpriced.
Service can be improved.
Ambiance is fresh.
1 dish has enough portion for 2 people.
Overall nice experience.
Bharat Darshan under one roof : India is very rich in culture and it’s uniqueness lies in the cultural diversity among the 29 states. It’s impossible to visit each state to discover the food, culture, traditions and the people. With 29, You can experience all the 29 states of the country under one roof. With a myriad collection of flavours, authentic recipes and traditional preparations cooked with love and served with care, 29 offers vegetarian specialities giving the taste of the region from across the 29 states of our country. 29 uses the finest of ingredients and original masalas to present dishes traversing from the varied cuisines of our great country.
29 has a Pan India presence and is a purely vegetarian restaurant. In Mumbai, 29’s outlets are in Kemps Corner, Malad and Thane. It is also present in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. I visited 29’s newly opened outlet in Thane and was amazed by the ambience. Each nook and corner was neat and clean, beautiful and very photogenic. The service is quick and prompt. The staff is friendly and co-operative. The seating arrangements are comfortable and spacious. The decor of the restaurant is amazing and very colourful. The place is big and has a variety of tables to choose from. There is a wall with nameplates of all 29 states on it. The restaurant is air-conditioned and has ample of parking space. Here’s what all I ordered from the menu :
Firstly, We had the soup of the day – Tomato Coriander Soup. The soup was tasty and the consistency of the soup was amazing.
For starters, We had Dilli Tokri Chaat – one of my favourites on the menu, It was crunchy and had samosas, pakodas, palak namak pares and crunchy papdi, Kashmiri Harisssa Roll – it had chunks of paneer, spicy serrano Indian chilly paste and coriander leaves wrapped in a crunchy rumali roti, Pyaaz Kachori, served with dry garlic chutney – this dish hails from the streets of Jodhpur and Shaami Kebab – this Awadhi delight has pan fried mixed vegetables and belngs to Chattisgarh. The starters are served with 3 different types of Chutney – Coriander Chutney (Green Chutney), Tomato & Garlic Chutney (Orange Chutney) and Raw Mango & Roasted Tomato Chutney (Brown Chutney – Sweet).
Proceeding towards Beverages, We tried the Lemon & Mint Cooler, Rim Jhim (Masala Cola Soda) and Shikanji (Lemon & Jaggery).
The Main Course Menu is very attractive and We were totally spoil for choice for which dish to order. We had Bihar ka Litti Chokha, a Traditional Bihari dish, served with Baingan ka Bharta. The Litti Chokha is made on a traditional Chulha. The Litti is made of sattu (grams, dals and pulses) and the Chokha is made of potatoes. The chutney has sarsoon (mustard) and dahi (curd). Secondly, We had Dhanbadi Dosalan which has rotis and two marinations which are to be mixed. This dish was born in Jharkhand. The marinations are served with coriander and grated cheese.
For Staples, We had Kanpuri Tikka Pulav in which a ‘potli’ of masalas is put in the rice and Yakni. The rice is cooked in the Yakni style and does not have salt or oil. It tastes out of the world. It was also one of my favourites. We also had the Goan Caldinn which had rice and a coconut gravy with mixed vegetables. For desserts, We had Mini Gulab Jamun which was served with loads of dry fruits and rabdi and Lauki ka Halwa which had jaggery water and milk. It does not have sugar and mawa. The desserts were amazing. Mini Gulab Jamuns were also one of my favourites. The speciality of 29 is that they change the menu of 70 dishes every 6 months (every 24th April and 24th November). And You get the previous set of recipes in form of a takeaway as printed recipe books outside the restaurant outlet. I had a wonderful afternoon at the restaurant and I look forward to visiting the restaurant again and again. You must definitely visit the restaurant for an exceptional experience. It is situated right on the Eastern Express Highway.
