There was a time when Sushi and Ramen were foreign to Trivandum, untill The Gourmet House established itself. Though the Ramen needs a little more work, they have a few variants doing well. I am a Sushi hogger and I enjoy the Sushi from TGH with no regrets. They have the maki, uramaki and Nigiri ones, all fresh and delicious. Their Thai curries, udon noodles, and Khow Suey are good too. If you are in the mood for some asian food, this is it :)
I didn’t know I could get sushi in Trivandrum until I saw the flex outside The Gourmet House. As you can guess, I ran in. The sushi is decent but I didn’t like the white sauce dollop that they added to it. I prefer my sushi authentic but hey, I’m just glad I got myself some sushi after a long time:) I have heard good things about the Gourmet House. Keep up the good work guys:) Taz James
First time we are visiting TGH. We ordered Tom Kha soup, ramen noodles, nasigoreng, cappuccino, and pink panther juice. The food was superb tasty. Polite host and well-trained staff. Excellent ambience with live music. Overall experience was good.
Went on a Saturday evening along with family for dinner to Gourmet House as expected the food was divine and the service equally top notch..the Place had a great vibe overall..
Given our love for red meat..we were suggested the Chateaubriand (this was not on the menu and was recommended by the restaurant) and the tenderloin was perfect..we also ordered the chicken lollipops, steak, noodles and a few drinks..must say everything was just the way we wanted it..
Look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Kerala..keep up the good work..
Good food and ambiance. Location is nice and easily accessible. Staffs are nice and warm. Neat and clean
After hearing about this place for quite some time, I finally had the opportunity to visit the gourmet house. Well, the ambience was topnotch and the food was excellent. Didn't believe I was in trivandrum having this type of continental cusine. We had sushi, beef rolls and beef tenderloin with bernaise sauce.. Everything was lip smacking and I definitely recommend this place for anyone having a conti craving while in the capital city. Kudos to the whole team!
Visited The Gourmet House restaurant the other day and was impressed with the quality of food along with the variety of dishes.
Had chicken momo for starters and Korean winglets which was in the chef special menu. Both were really tasty!!For main course had the light fried rice with chicken black bean sauce and a beef steak which was tender and juicy. For the desserts would recommend to try their handchurned icecreams!!!
Overall a very satisfying experience.
Delicious food, smiling faces to greet you and the best beverages! Highly recommended for a relaxed evening.
the frappe is mind blowing here ;)
A very good place to spend your time with family and have a delicious meal ,lovely ambience and very polite and friendly staff team .The food was amazing, fresh food with a wide range of menu and so many options to choose from , the beef roulade was sooo good my mom loved it, now it has become her favorite beef dish in trivandrum , the meat was tender with lots of flavor, the hot chocolate was good too ,though I didn't taste it my dad said it was good it had the perfect amount of sweetness and chocolateyness. The rose icecream was one of it's kind, there was so much petals and it was a unique rosy taste. Totally loved our experience , and since it's within town it's very easy to navigate in google without any difficulty. Will definitely revisit and recommend others to try it too.
Best restaurant in Trivandrum with excellent variety of foods. Loved their Bulgogi beef and Veg pad thai noodles. Very good service and friendly staff

Beautiful place, had dinner in yesterday night, we had Zatar chicken squares, Chicken fussili pesto, Mushroom pot rice and Crispy potato and sausage salad. Food was so tasty and most important thing is that staffs are really nice and so kind.
The food variety and the ambience is super. I had Grilled apple salad, Paella and Spicy beef summer rolls. All the staffs was really great .
Delicious food !!! Smoked chicken salad , Beef hokaido yakitori , Hot and sour Prawns soup , Jalapeno poppers are my favorites.
Gourmet house is my all time favourite
Ordered Korean style Chilli chicken , Lifu veg fried rice and Tenderloin sizzlers . Great place and service...... A perfect place to visit if you want to try variety foods
Good food, We had Grilled prawns with herb rice and saffron sauce and Honey laced darsaan with ice cream(desserts), this was awesome . Staffs were friendly
I visit trivandrum atleast once in 6 months as it my home town and that is where my heart is. Have been hearing good reviews about "The Gourmet House" since my last visit and this time i made sure i visit them. I was planning to meet some my school mates and so decided we catch up there.
The ambiance is really fresh and the colours of the furniture is very soothing. It is compact setup to seat around 40pax. We had made reservation and boy I was glad i did that, as after half an hour of our arrival, the place was packed. They have space for parking outside the cafe and the place is easy to locate.
The staff was very courteous and also suggested dishes that is their must try.
I should say that i was pleasantly surprised by the variety that they had in the menu and was quite tempting to try most of them.
We ordered:
Hot chocolate : perfectly sweetened and topped with wipped cream
Ice tea: very refreshing
Bulgogi beef: now this is a dish which has a dual personality. You eat the beef by itself, it taste amazing and when you roll the beef with lettuce and eat it, it is heavenly. Absolutely loved it.
Frenched chicken Winglets: crisp from the outside and juicy inside. Just the way i like it.
Nasi goreng: hard to find such dishes in TVM, even if you do, need to spend a bomb. Was not at all disappointed.
Beef steak with bearnaise sause: one of the best steak i have had in the recent times. I am settled in Bangalore, and it wouldn't be wrong if i say, that it is difficult to find such good steak in Bangalore and the mash served with it was ahhhmazinggg.
Lifu rice: loved it.
Hakka noodles: good flavour
Paan and rose ice cream: must must must try. You will fall in love with it.
Sizzling brownie: perfect ending to a perfect meal.

im a steak lover..gourmet house is the best place for steak lovers...loved it.. good ambience.. good place to go for dinner with family.. excellent service
A very nice and small place. The behaviour of staff is extremely nice. The service was fast and ambiance is very well setup. The food was just amazing i loved their tenderloin beef. It was soo soft just like they told and even the sauce was delicious. Even loved the momos there.
** great food, good ambience and polite staff. You definitely need to try it out **
Recommendations:
*Jalapeño poppers - delicious.
*Jerk chicken with paprika sauce - a must try. Dish of the day for us! It came with a side of yummy mash potato👌(only wish there was more of that paprika sauce to soak the chicken in)
*We also tried the Herb crusted Cottage cheese and the Mushroom steak. They were both good but a bit on the dry side. Although later on they did inform us that we could ask for more servings of the sauce.
Suggestion:
Add more quantity of sauce to the dishes. It makes a big difference. Also, the rice that comes with the sizzler is just plain, it would be nice to have some added flavour.
Been here twice, n will definitely go bk fr more
Starters :
Honey glazed cottage cheese: heavenly, must try.
Chicken wings : OK
Chicken momos : OK
Main course :
Chicken lasagna : really good
Chicken strogonoff : tastes good but that's not how strogonoff is usually made
Lentil rice : good taste wise but please use better quality rice
Chilly garlic Coriander gravy : must try. Very light n beautifully complements rice.
Dessert:
Darsan : amazing
Fried ice cream : good.

One of the best steaks in trivandrum and tasty home made type icecreams its a worth visit . Conveniently located and with decent parking this place is good if you want to have delicacies from around the world . Their service is good . Price is on the expensive side but their food is very good . My friend tried south east asian food and he also liked it . Its a popular place in trivandrum but if you are looking for a budget place this is not the place .
Felt extremely happy a night before at this restaurant. Staff were polite and friendly and took time to detail about the photographs on the restaurant wall. Had chicken momo and iced tea, both of which were excellent... The ambience is very good especially the wall and seat colours, the way in which a world map is presented etc.
a fine dining restaurant with great ambience and super service. the food is honest to its cuisine without any variations in its original flavour. quantity is a bit low for the price they charge. it’s an open clean and well maintained kitchen by the way.
Excellent quality. Please make more fish dishes. I would love to place order from you especially fish like pomphret. I would also like to test mutton and biryani.
Best Multi-cuisine restaurant to dine in Thiruvanthapuram.
Menu is selected for various types of appetites, one can see noodles, pastas, soups, kingfish (local speciality), starters, desserts.. We ordered Nasi goreng, Kingfish, Yakitori chicken and mocktails. Staff is friendly and service is prompt. Dishes are prepared according to modern Indians tastebuds (Neither too authentic nor too fusion). Must visit when in Trivandrum.
Awesome experience ....tried honey tossed cottage cheese for starter ...it was too good...cafe frappe ...grilled apple salad and cottage cheese sizzler ...good service and courteous staff...must go try handmade ice cream ...overall excellent food, ambience and staff ...
Quaint cozy place ... one of my favorite places to eat out at now because the area is small enough that you can keep an eye on your toddler (if he decides to run around )without leaving your table 😬. As a plus point the staff is very courteous and child friendly . Have never gone wrong with the food yet be it their steaks ( not the best but one of the better ones in Trivandrum ) or Italian food like lasagne.the hand churned ice creams are also a must try . I did however feel that the quantity delivered through Uber eats was a bit less ( had ordered spaghetti bolognese) compared to what is served when you dine in .
We decided on this quaint eatery at Pattom when old friends and besties got together. The pan Asian cuisine here is a good bet for connoisseurs of food. The vegetarian options are equally amazing and has the right hint of flavor.
Loved the ambience, the staff were courteous and helped us in choosing and selecting the right combinations.
Liked the idea of drinking water flavored with mint leaves in attractive glass bottles.
Recommend
Lifu Rice - mildly flavored with herbs spices and garlic.
Tom Kha Soup - pureed pumpkin and laced with thick coconut milk is very very Thai and amazing.
I did not have the non-veg, but friends said the Korean Styled Chicken in black bean sauce was excellent.
Momo - both the veg and chicken version were good too.
Whatsaround.city team mates had a jolly time at gourmet house who hosted the team lunch. It was a cosy place and what caught our attention was the ambient lighting that fills a lovely aura all over the place.
We loved the nasi goreng and the dimsums to start with and also the pad thai was yummilicious
We'd highly recommend their hand churned ice creams as well.
#ChickenMomos #ChickenRoulade #BeefStroganoff #PassionFruitMojito
Location: Just after the Pattom signal. NOT VERY NOTICEABLE. You will easily miss it 😬 You can park about 2-3cars i think.
Ambience & Service: Just fine 👍
Food: Perfectly cooked Momos; The stroganoff was very creamy. ❤ Even the Roulade was good.
One major let down would be the limited drinks & desserts menu.
Too much waiting time. 😑
This is a the place to go to for Pan Asian cuisine. We love the Vietnamese roll and the hand churned ice creams the most here. We had steak and nasi goreng for mains which was average
A wonderful place for an excellent break in Trivandrum and being a hotelier myself I can say the staff were all wonderful and they went above and beyond what you usually expect. They were so helpful with my daughter’s food and even surprised her with the special ice creams. Overall, a place that Trivandrum was waiting for - a big thank you for everything you did for us. Hope to see you again sometime soon.
Great ambience and their food is absolutely a treat. We ordered their Frito Misto which came along with a delicious sweet chilli sauce . For main course , we ordered the Spaghetti bolognaise and garlic bread which was again perfectly made.
Their portion sizes are enough to just rightly fill two people. We summed it up with their hand churned ice creams . We went for dark chocolate and mint chocolate ice creams . Overall , I’d recommend this place to anyone who would like to try a refreshing experience in Trivandrum.
TGH is located near the Pattom signal. First concern was traffic and would I get parking. First concern resolved- there was a valet parking attendant. Interiors are simply and classy. Tried many of the dishes, we like most the beef bulgogi, the nasi goreng, the Vietnam summer rolls with prawns and the mushroom chai soup ( this was served) from a tea pot.
Also dug into to some of the food my friends ordered. The spaghetti Bolognese and the beef sizzles were also delicious. Great meat.
We also enjoyed some yummy fruit flavoured hand churned Icecreams.
A special mention about the coffee. I am a coffee lover and enjoy a nice brew. My black coffee was really good. I was told that their blend came from a small plantation in Chikkamangallur in Karnataka. Tasted better than the CCD or Starbucks blends.
Service was also attentive and timely. It’s a great place to go with friends or family.
The FOOD here is amazing, their menu might be a little offbeat. I can go on n on about how good their service is , the staff here is extremely friendly n take the time to explain the dish . They would even suggest the right combination to order is you have no clue what to order . Don’t miss their Korean chicken chilli, summer rolls ,sizzling brownie .
This place is fresh air for Trivandrum folks. Started the food journey with pleasing ambience and warm customer service. Starters we ordered were cooked to almost perfection . The prawns summer rolls were subtle and oozing lightness, Hosin beef was juicy and flavorsom, Chicken winglets were more of drumstick pieces than wings but taste was top notch. Mains of course we went there hoping that there would be steak, the owner made sure that we got it even if it wasn't in the menu. Medium to rare cooked it to the best way I love. Finished off with a mint cucumber lemoande and on the house guava ice cream. All in all it was a happy ending for the day and really good experience. Not too heavy on the pocket too, must try folks. Fine gourmet experience. Wish they served some vino as well. 😁
Visited here for dinner yesterday.
Food:Good.
Ordered tifu veg fried rice, chicken Hakka noodles,Mexican chilli chicken and french fries along with peach iced tea and oreo shake.
Everything was yummy .But the oreo shake could have better.
Ambience/Interiors:Good
Service:Excellent(Waiter will give suggestions which food is recommended)
Bonus points for having a clean high chair available.
Price:Expensive
Cons:Parking available outside restaurant is less. However, valet parking is available and hence not much of a concern.
Tried out gourmet house today along with my family. It was a pleasant and nice experience. The owner and staff were very cordial and welcoming. We tried out Tom Kha chicken soup, it had a very unique taste, not tried out else where in Trivandrum and was very good.
Frenched chicken winglets and Hoisin chicken sizzles were good choice for starters.Kids loved it.
We ordered Lifu chicken rice, Korean style chilli chicken, Florentine coco chicken and Beef Stroganoff for main course.Fried rice and chilli chicken were exceptionally good.It had a different flavour and went well together. Coco chicken tasted very good. Beef Stroganoff was fine, the beef pieces were well done, the gravy could have been bit more thick. All portions were of adequate quantity.
We concluded our meal with fried ice-cream and sizzling brownie which were equally good.
Overall it was an excellent experience for a family dineout- the ambience, hospitality and food complementing each other. Definetly a place to visit again.
It was Friday night & we were in a mood for chinese-thai kind of food. We chose gourmet house based on a positive review from EAT group. We skipped soups as we didn't need to work up an appetite. We ordered Lifu rice and Korean style chilly chicken. Lifu rice was quite flavorful and the quantity was quite enough for two. But considering my wife eats considerably lesser quantity , it may not cater to 2 wolf tummies. Korean style chicken was good but nothing unique. We ordered hand churned ice cream pan flavored and guava for dessert. Pan was a big hit for my wife and it took me a while to get accustomed to its taste. But it's a must try item if you have an open mind to new taste. Guava was a bit too sweet for me. The service was good and prompt.
One of the very few restaurants in Trivandrum which offers authentic Pan Asian delicacies.Situated at the heart of the city near Pattom, this place offers a good variety of dishes and is a great place for dining out with family and friends. The ambience is good and the place offers seating for around 40 guests at a time.
Have tried some of their dishes and my favorites among them are the Hoisin Sizzling Beef,Lifu rice,Frenched Chicken Winglets,Kimchi Salad and their special Watermelon & Red Amarnath Salad. The Hoisin Beef is one of the best beef dishes I have had in a while and the Lifu Fried Rice is also a good option to try as it is tastes different from the normal ones you get elsewhere. They also have a good variety of shakes and hand churned ice-creams.The Caramel shake is a good option for the sweet-tooth.Overall this place is definitely worth a try for a dine out.
Date of visit - may 18,2018
Loved my first experience with Gourmet House. Below is a detailed review covering what I feel are the relevant points -
Location - parking is available for a max of three cars. They said they have valet services but we didn’t need to use it that day. So I guess even though the space looks pretty limited, parking is not a big hassle.
Ambience - very clean, very cosy and perfect for a family dinner. Service was wonderful - friendly waiters who knew the menu well.
Menu - is pretty compact and covers various cuisines. There aren’t a lot of items on the list , unlike our typical restaurants, which I thought was a good thing. The owner said that they were going to expand it further with burgers and sizzlers.
What we ordered - steamed chicken momos, a Thai soup, fish and chips, nasi goreng, Korean beef, lifu fried rice, a chicken dish (forgot the name) handmade ice cream (jackfruit), brownie sizzler and fried ice cream.
The momos, Thai soup, nasi goreng, chicken, lifu fried rice, Korean beef, jackfruit ice cream and fried ice cream were brilliant - absolutely lip smacking.
The brownie was below average, and the fish and chips can be improved vastly. The only negative we felt was the portion size, which didn’t justify the price charged.
All in all, though the price was a bit on the higher side, we would definitely visit again for the wonderful food, ambience and total experience.
It's on the expensive side. We ordered ramen, I didn't like it at first but the taste grew on me as i kept on eating it. The mango cheesecake was delicious! My favourite would be the Spicy pepper lemongrass chicken. Overall, it's worth it if you have the money.
The best food!! I love the variety dishes there - Korean, Japanese, all kinds of food! I am a Ramen fan and I just loved the Ramen here. The ambience over here is very nice, a must try restaurant for families and friends. Affordable price, given the food is delicious.
The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with excellent service and a variety of delectable dishes. The location is convenient, though parking is limited. While the thigh dish lacked the desired spice, the overall food quality is commendable. A must-visit for those seeking a fine dining experience with a minor consideration for the spice aficionados.
The Spicy beef dimsum is out of this world. (It is only slightly spicy)
The Chicken ramen and Prawns salmon sushi were also good.
I wanted to try the Chocolate ganache cake, but they didnt have it.
Raspberry cheese cake wasn't that great to me, but maybe I don't like cheesecakes.
Items are bit on the expensive side, for Trivandrum.
Went there to try sushi and other korean food .. Good service and calm atmosphere . Menu on Expensive side.... So take care before ordering. .. tried soto ayam soup sushi garlic noodles hibachi friedrice pink panther drink.... Garlic noodles was good.. soto ayam soup tasted like cocunt milk onion curry.
Didnt like hibachi fried rice. But my friend liked it. I felt unpleasant tomato flavour.... ..
Anyway if you know what dish to try its good to try this place . But dont know whether taste is authentic since we are not korean .. .
Would recommend to try this place if you have enough money

A very underrated Asian restaurant in the heart of Trivandrum! I ordered Fried Chicken Sushi, Spaghetti Aglio Olio (both were low-key amazing🤌) and a bowl of Mushroom Pot Rice for my mom (which she loved). Would definitely recommend!
Very calm and quite atmosphere in a busy city centre.
Good food, nice staff. There wasn’t any rush the time I visited, which was around 5:30pm.
Good palace to try Thai and other cuisines . Tried their Ramen noodles . It’s a different experience . Must try .
It was a really great experience. The dishes we tried were really tasty and authentic. The frenched korean winglets are a must try in korean sauce especially. NasiGoreng was good as well. A really good place to have some dishes apart from our regular cuisines. A bit pricey not very much because I felt it worth
A great restaurant in town, our first visit to this place and sure that we will make more..
Amazing place, multi cuisine (Thai, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese and more), good ambience and great food. All the dishes ordered were tasty and had its own different flavors (not really authentic but a fusion of flavors I would say).
Nice place to be with family & friends.
Visited here again. Quality is well maintained. Had an enjoyable evening
I came today with my mom for dinner and it was so peaceful I enjoyed the food the environment and the service! Thanks for making our night great Gourmet team🎈and the pink panther was sooo soo good too
Food and atmosphere is good. Tried out Tom Kha Chicken Soup, Osaka Soul Roll and Jamaican Beef Steak. Steak was exquisite, nicely cooked beef and with sauce gave my taste buds a wonderful time. Tom Kha chicken soup was a different taste.
Such a wonderful restaurant in the town. Probably the best in town to enjoy multi-cuisine all under one roof. They serve Thai, Malay, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Italian and much more. Good variety of drinks options too!!
The quality and the quantity of food was amazing. finger-licking good food with the right ambience to set your food. definitely a place to go for with your loved ones or family or friends. The staff were amazing too.
I totally recommend this place to the locals and travellers to have a dinner meal here. Highly satisfying place.
Good food and ambience.. good restaurant to visit with kids
The restaurant ambience is very nice and the food quality is also good. They serve the food on a hot sizzler plate (hot iron plate) so that it stays hot. The area is little small but for well maintained. The only problem we faced is that, they have increased the food prices but didn't update the menu card. We ordered food looking at the backdated manu card and their price were 20-30 Rs higher in the bill. So I would suggest that you ask the prices also while ordering so that it remains fair from both ends. Overall it was a good experience there. You can definitely visit that place for dinner/lunch.
Food was excellent.. we ordered chicken breast sizzler, jerk chicken, american chaupsy and some fried rice. Jerk chicken was the highlight. It was soo delicious. Chicken breast sizzler was little but burnt.
The sitaphal icecream was also delicious. They have got a kids menu which is also a plus point. The kids really enjoyed the mac and cheese
I never repeat restaurants while I travel, but I have already visited The Gourmet House twice and planning to eat only here throughout my stay. Food is too good. I just wish the service team could have been friendlier, although they do their job well..
