It was beautiful and clean. I went in the morning hours and enjoyed the sunrise too. Try to go in the early morning hours else it will be hot. I stayed in Sagara Beach Resort which was not good at all. But this beach and its view was the lifesaver.

This is a vast beach with great, sometimes rough waves. There are lots of areas that are Rocky so not suitable for swimming. As the name suggests, there is a light house on one side of the beach. There is a long road of shops and restaurants here. You can also get massage at any one of the ayurvedic
Beach is fantastic. Clean water. It is safe to swim.
Plenty of food options.
But life guards are rubbish, they only find the chairs for themselves to rest and keep blowing the whistle all the time even to the people just dipping in water near the shore, ruining experience for many.

One of the beautiful beaches of Kovalam. Spread around the Kovalam light house. Weekends are crowded here. Small shopping shops of crafts, dresses and paintings etc make the beach live.
It was a fantastic view from the top of the lighthouse, Even though it was tiring to reach the top by stairs the view from there made us forget the pain. Must visit if you are at Kovalam beach
