We had about an hour between our train to Udaipur and flight out of udaipur and we chose this beautiful place to have breakfast with a view. The view breathtaking, no doubt about that. We tried their honey lemon pancakes, vegetable omlette and cappuccino. The pancakes were great, topped with pistachios, they were yum! The omlette was a typical indian masala omlette, I wish it'd be served with some bread but it was fine. The coffee was good. Got some stuff packed as well. Our server was great! Overall, must visit.

The place is super chill. The food is just above average but the ambience makes up for anything wrong. You just overlook every imperfection here. We tried the hot chocolate which was let's say 7/10 . I am being considerate here because most of the places I really don't like the hot chocolate they just make it taste like bournvita but it wasn't like that here. We also tried the banana shake which was good . The cheese sandwich was just average with potato chips sorrouding it ( birthday wale chips ). Overall the aura here was not less than heavenly except for the fact that the waiters are damn slow and would pay less attention to you if you are indian . I would say just come here to have a great time and not particularly to eat ( that's what most of us do ) . You got to try this place once in life .

This is pure peace. The food was fresh the ambiance is without a doubt beautiful. The lake is mesmerising and everything falls in to place when you sip that ginger tea in winter breeze on rooftop.

This place is located in the tip of the lake pichola with a fabulous view to the lake , be it the mornings or the evenings it is the best place to chill and every bit of the money you pay for the food is so worthy !
[FOOD] : The food menu is varied over indian as well as continental cuisine , both of it are worth of trying . We tried the non veg rainbow platter which is an assorted platter of the fish / chicken kebabs . This is so filling for 2 people. Offers good collection of alcohol as well .The pastas also are well cooked and flavoured , must try if you are looking for anything Italian.
[SERVICE] : Good set of staffs and the food served is pretty fast as well. Though allmost all the staffs are good but there are few who would entertain the foreign guests only( you may ignore them) .

Rainbow Restaurant is a great place for a sundowner. Grab a Pizza and a brew while enjoying the beautiful sunset over the banks of Lake Pichola overlooking the Aravalli mountains. The restaurant’s quirky decor, cute cushion mattress tables, candlelight set up and amazing playlist liven up the place. We loved the Margherita Pizza, Chicken Lasagne and Café Mocha here.

One of my favorite breakfast places in the city.
Me and friend visited this restaurant. The view at night is spectacular, you can see City Palace of Udaipur along with the lake pichola.
And now onto food, the food took some time to be prepared but their Veg Lasagna was one of the best lasagna I ever had anywhere.
The service staff is really amazing, when we told them we were getting late and had to catch a bus, they arranged a vehicle to go back to our hotel immediately and were very helpful and courteous.

Rainbow has always been a pleasant experience. The service is good- they have all day breakfast which is great because I can always have pancakes irrespective of what time of the day it is. There’s bacon. Although, the day we ordered bacon, we thought that it wasn’t cooked so well however the potatoes on the side really did good! Chocolate shakes here were a delight especially coupled with the breathtaking view of Ambrai. That is the show stealer, any day!

Ordered three of the very popular non vegetarian dishes from there, Laal Maas, chicken Stu and chicken kadai. Ordered online but I must admit that their service is really quick and the food I had was the best in texture, best in portion and so so so delicious. I still got those flavours. Absolutely amazing.

A place that offers the lovely sight of Lake Pichola from its rooftop tables. Food is good and this place is reasonably priced. The only thing I would warn one against is ordering cheesecake. Please do not. You won't be able to cut it using a fork!

Rainbow is a little rooftop restaurant on the banks of Pichola Lake. I was immediately attracted by the ambience and the clean and crafty furniture. For my dinner I ordered a Veg Biryani, which was more of a pulav, but I enjoyed the candle light by the pichola.
The staff is courteous, service is quick and the view is great.
Highly recommended for a dinner.

Hidden gem with an amazing view and awesome food! We happened to bump into this place during our visit to udaipur after sunset boat ride at lake pichola and this turned out to be a lovely evening with amazing view at Rainbow! If upre has the best view from other end this place has the best from Lal ghar end ! And yes ! The food and hospitality was just so awesome!The staff was extremely courteous and prompt! Chicken hariyali tikka was tender , juicy and perfectly cooked with subtle mint flavors ! The traditional gatte and sangri ki sabji were quite good and had authentic Rajasthani flavors! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Udaipur!
A really nice roof top restaurant with the view of Lake on one side and old city on the other. The food quality is good and the staff is super friendly. Just remember to book your seats in advance as it gets really busy in the evening and has very few seats.

One of my fav places in the city. Make sure to have a booking if you're visiting for the dinner. Loved the chicken chilli and farmhouse pizza. Tandoor wasn't available. Staff is friendly, could do better with adding more staff and menu cards.
Rainbow restaurant: one of the best place for food in udaipur with a magnificent view of pichola lake and lake palace. Very calming and soothing environment. Gem of a place!
Rainbow has been one of our best discoveries in the city of lakes. It has a breathtaking view of Lake Pichola and an array of food to pick from. The quality of food is just as good as the scenic beauty. If you are in Udaipur and there's no rush, I'd recommend you to drop by and spend some time here. It's amazing!

I ordered a light breakfast ie. Poha with a pot of Masala Chai. It came fresh, beautifully seasoned and I loved it also got free lessons on Poha from the manager.
As long as I am in Udaipur ,I try having a cup of tea by the lake with the rising sun, this is one experience Iam certainly gonna miss the most😑.

It was a cute place , love the ambiance , its next to lake picholi , u can enjoy the view of the lake while having ur food and the food does justice to the view and ambiance , we ordered farm fresh pizza , Alfredo pasta , chilly planner dry , manchurian , panner tikka and chilli noodles and I had no complaints from any of the food , it's was a awesome experience and if I have time while my visit , I will definitely visit again
I visited this place last night (Dec 22, 2017), which I think is the best time to be here. I ordered a Desi Palak Murg and Lachha Paratha. While it tasted good, I wish I had ordered some other chicken dish for the night. The staff was friendly and ambience was no doubt the best thing about the place. They put candles on every table, which can give an insanely romantic feel to couples, given that this place overlooks Lake Pichola. You can order good wine/beer/whisky and your night is sorted.
Great location, good seating arrangement and superbly furnished Café, Rainbow restaurant is both an awesome way to begin or end a day at the Venice of India. This review may sound a bit cheesy cause of the large portion of cheese in Alfredo Pasta we ordered. The food is Sumptuous and one serving size is sufficient for a couple of people. The view that this Cafe offers at night is unparalleled and is frequented by Indians and foreigners alike.
Best thing about this was its location and view from their tables. Best to visit early morning or late evenings. We ordered a stuffed paratha and poha. Poha was very nice but paratha could have been better.

Its a roof top restaurant. It has a beautiful view of the ambrai ghat and lake pichola.
The sitting is very comfortable and it's a very cozy place.

1)snicker bar shake which tasted really nice and was very filling. It wasn't too sweet so really enjoyed it (9/10)
2)farm house pizza- it was a good pizza loaded with vegetables and cheese. The pizza was baked nicely. It was not authentic taste but it was done well for the place (8/10)
3) panner chillie- it was ok ok as they made it too spicy and dint taste so good (5/10)
4) we ordered few cocktails
Pinacolada which was made nicely. Definitely recommended (10/10)
Bloody Mary which was not much spicy as it should be but they changed it when we told them. (7/10)
The sunset here is breathtaking and one could sit here for hours and never get bored. It's a very busy leave throughout the week and definitely a must try place in old city🙂
Other lake view roof top restaurants are so over hyped, this was the one just opposite my hotel, I thought of giving it a try.
And it was worth it, extremely comfortable seatings, you will enjoy every bit of it. Waiters were very sweet and food was also amazing (specially the non veg platter)

Beautiful lake view terrace restaurant. Park your cars on the City Palace road only and then a 5 mins walk to the restaurant. Ambience is soothing and the staff is courteous unlike some other lake view restaurants which only cater properly to foreigners.
Food is mediocre and do not expect too much but the view covers up for it.

Though the place was packed when we arrived, Ram Singh gave us a small table to sit at while another table was made ready as soon as some other guests left. The service was prompt and courteous. Ram Singh's smile was always wider than his moustache :)

The one of the best thing about this restaurant is its location. The location is situated nearby Lal ghat. The restaurant is a picturesque place because it has lake pichola view. The food is also good and have plenty of options. There are two seating arrangements, one is closed at ground floor and other is rooftop kind of open space. This is one of the best place to have food while watching sun-set.
