It's a must try place in Udaipur, this restaurant is actually a haveli and maintained very well. Cleaned and gives you the feel of royal era. i visited this place with family and having few dietry requests, which they have listened and fulfilled the same. Staff is very cooperative and attentive. The food is amazing. We order for rajasthani food and everyone has enjoyed it. We wanted to give complement to Chef but they said, Chef to come out is not allowed. Weird reason but the service staff was also great. Taru, rajesh, jeevan, Rajendra and other. I will definitely recommend to everyone.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Delicious food and efficient service...the restrau has some unique dishes and beautiful ambience

Excellent service and food quality HIGHLY RECOMMEND....several private dining and a beautiful courtyard
Lot of celebrities and food critics come to this restrau.....Lovely vintage restraurant with a beautiful courtyard- they have separate private dinings- try there cigar lounge area and a courtyard with santorini feel...the food is exceptionally good and balanced in terms of spices and flavours...
Culinary delights and a warm reception..... that how i would describe this place.
The taste of every dish was unique and the tikkas were melt in mouth....
Had a lovely time and all of us enjoyed.
Loved the whole experience, food and service were amazingly good. Food was an unforgettable affair.......
They provide lovely ambience and privacy with lovely food and service which me and my friends were looking for...👍👍
Just perfect in all terms. Love the vibe of this place and the food is out of the world. Love the ambience and the service. It’s a different experience in itself.
Best food in the city-i have visited this restaurant multiple times and the food service and ambience has been superb...the colonial structure and private dining areas gives regal feel....pls try mutton mittu pic handing laal mass and banjara aloo...each dish is fantastic
If u are a first timer and looking for Royal Repast with/out Google Maps then you will surely miss it . Situated in one of busy streets of Udaipur this place gives you a feeling of a colonial empire . The ambience and calmness is reminds you of the early English Regime .
We went to this place on a weekday afternoon for lunch and the place was empty with no guests at all . But surprisingly the food was very fresh and tasty. We had paner lababdar and kurkuri bhindi with tandoori roti. Nice rich gravy full of aroma made the meal very special .
Its not an expensive place and is frequented by foreigners in the winters and usually required prior reservations as confirmed by one the staff members .
Place: Royal Repast,Udaipur.
Ambiance: A really beautiful palace converted into a restaurant which gives you homely feeling.
Our ratings: *5/5*
Food:
☆Tandoori Rice thali - This was indeed tasty and a must try.
☆Momos - The chicken momos was average, could have been more tasty.
☆Butter Chicken- This dish was quite great in taste.

Chose this place based on some really positive reviews. It is definitely a must visit place in Udaipur given how different and captivating the ambience inside is, and how courteous and warm the service is. One of the best places to have authentic non veg food from. Given how immersive the dining experience of this place is, it's not much of a pocket-pinch either.
Excellent food. But the cook should be careful with the salt. In the Chicken Korma there was no salt whereas the meat dish could have had an addition of a wee bit more of salt. Otherwise the preparations were excellent. Would love to try other dishes from here.
Set in a bungalow a little off the main road, Royal Repast looks dubious at first glance. Once you enter the gate though, it’s a lovely, tastefully decorated Haveli. The rooms have been converted into the restaurant so you mostly have only two or fewer other tables in your immediate vicinity.
Service is lovely but leisurely. That’s not a bad thing, it feels less frantic than a regular restaurant but it might annoy you if you’re in a tearing hurry.
Then comes the best part: the food. It. Is. DELICIOUS. Every single dish we ordered was fantastic. I’m personally a HUGE fan of the hara bhara kabab. The prices are medium-expensive, but the food is most definitely worth it.
All in all our experience at Royal Repast was truly wonderful. If you’re looking for a good meal served well, I highly recommend this place.
Visited this place yesterday for a fine dine dinner experience.
Food 4.5/5 :
The traditional food is great here. We ordered Govind gutta curry ( traditional rajasthani cuisine) and cauliflower curry in “bedla sauce” and both were really amazing.
Laccha paratha is good.
Ambience 5/5 :
They have converted a traditional house into this amazing restaurant. One of the best ambience I have been to in udaipur.
They even have a big 1919 year map hanging on one wall. Really mesmerising.
Also very fine rajasthani music hits fantastically on a different level.
Service and staff 4/5 :
The service and staff are very polite.
Would recommend this place and is a must visit if you want a traditional fine dine experience.

The place keeps up the hype and royalty of Udaipur.
Right from the entrance to taking the seats, from ordering to enjoy the delicacies, this place feels worth every penny you pay. Staff goes an extra step to ensure you have the best experience. Food serving size is decent and taste is good. You can hope for a great memorable experience coupled with amazing hospitality.
The restaurant is very cosy and gives you welcoming feeling. The taste of the food is very authentic. We had tandoori rice and doodhiya kheech. The price of the food is also very reasonable compared to the quality of food. Do visit this place.
Royal ambiance , vintage villa transformed into a fine dine-in place , food served with perfect taste I would like to recommend for non veg foodies , I visited Udaipur for travel and I just got a perfect place to dine-in . I wish to visit here again .
Amazing ambience coupled with delicious food and great hospitality! A place one must visit in Udaipur! The feel of the restaurant is quite good as it is set in the grandeur of an old palace!
This is the best restaurants excluding all other five stars in the city. Amazing food service and ambience.
I did go there five times and each and every time this place exceeded my expectations.
If you want local non veg fare, there is only one place to go to - Royal Repast.
Amazing khanna , with exotic stuff, like Raan on the menu.
The food here is delectable and I would recommend going hungry so you can gorge on the uniquely Udaipur food here
Favourites are the kebabs, tangdi murg, Karan shahi paneer, banjara chicken and channa masala. These are but a few of the fab dishes here
Royal Repast from the House of Bedlas!
The Bedla family has had the distinction of serving their cuisine to Queen Elizabeth, Jacqueline Kennedy and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru the first prime minister of independent India & various royalties of Rajasthan.
A restaurant you cannot miss on your next visit to Udaipur, Rajasthan if you relish Khargosh Ke Kabab, Mutton, slow cooked in Earthen Pot with a secret in-house Sauce that has 32 ingredients, Laal Maas and many more.
Read more to know more about the delicious brunch I had there last Sunday
Royal Repast definitely takes you back in time with the ethnic Rajasthani cuisine.
The setting of the restaurant is just incredible and the food is to die for. Way to go !!!!!..
superb place..well maintained.. sover interiors..
'Royal Repast' the name aptly defines this place! I visited this place few days back with a bunch of friends, we had a great experience. Their service is excellent and the menu is not at all usual, I would suggest all the food lovers out there to try this restaurant for a completely different experience. Khargosh ke kebab and raan were fabulous even the daal was was superb.

The best place to eat in Udaipur is this place by the House of Bedla- Royal Repast. Its decor is beautiful and the food is par excellence! Their Karan shahi dal is especially recommended.
This was our best meal experiences in Udaipur! It is situated at a walking distance from the Haathi pol market, a famous market in Udaipur. The restaurant interiors are very Santorini inspired with a Rajasthani twist to it. The management and staff are very friendly and Karan, who runs the place will help you out with suggestions from the menu. We tried the Keema bruschetta, mutton pulav and corn halwa (they are named differently on the menu) and all the dishes were mind-blowing! I never imagined corn halwa can be so tasty!
The ambience and music were perfect and they try to create a harmony between western and local rajasthani style! Looking forward to visiting this place again and trying the Bedla sauce. It indeed is a hidden gem in Udaipur!

Excellent place !! Excellent service and great food !! It's a hidden treasure in Udaipur !! One must try this place for sure !!also service by staff especially ranjith is excellent !!
Great food. Awesome service, the waiter had some great suggestions. Try the specialty "Bedal sauce". Cosy setting. Been to dinner 2 nights ago. Had a wonderful time. Worth a visit.
Great food & service and best prices. We were a group of friends and ordered various dishes. And everything was fantastic , my personal favourite was the sikandari raan and murg mussalam . I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Truly awesome food and great service, we went there last month while we were in udaipur and on a friend's suggestion decided to have a meal at this lovely restaurant. The thing I found interesting on the first impression was the variety on the menu which itself was quite unique, we decided to have quails and rabbit which I dont think is offered by any other restaurant in udaipur. Both dishes turned out awesome. When in udaipur one must go to this place.
Excellent place, with a definite royal feel while also having a home-like vibe because of restaurant being spread over separate rooms; tastefully done decor and great service. Easily the best food we had in Udaipur at a reasonable price.
Amazing place the food is over the top.. fabulous service.. Excellent service decor.... Reminds you of santorini Greece when sitting in the courtyard....
Re defines the word royalty
We were a large group of 8 people travelling from across the world (UK, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, USA) to take in the treasures of beautiful Udaipur. We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel in Udaipur (Jaiwana Haveli), as a truly authentic Mewari dinning experience from one of the erstwhile noble families of the region - The house of Bedla. Entertaining guests has been in the Bedla tradition for the better part of their history. Jacqueline Kennedy & Prince Charles have been some of their famous guests in the past.
The restaurant itself is enclosed within a picturesque courtyard in a recently restored colonial bungalow. The menu offers some of the most popular entries in the Mewari cuisine like Lal Maas. The curries were fiery and flavourful, while the breads were crisp on the outside and soft within. Their service itself could have been more prompt to create a sense of heritage and occasion, but overall we were thoroughly thrilled with our lunch affair.
Since this restaurant is not around the lake it wasn't as crowded as some of the others. Another reason why we liked it as much was for its relaxing and calm ambience.
Poppy, a culinary gem, seamlessly fuses artisanal pizzas with rare, authentic Indian cuisine, offering a unique and delightful dining experience. As a regular, I'm captivated by the exceptional quality of their pizzas, featuring imported cheeses and finely textured bread.
What distinguishes Poppy is its diverse menu, catering to both pizza enthusiasts and lovers of Indian flavors. The restaurant's commitment to culinary education shines through workshops, where wine and cheese tastings and pizza making sessions elevate the overall experience.
Poppy's warm ambiance and attentive staff create an inviting atmosphere for casual or special occasions. In essence, Poppy stands out for its harmonious blend of flavors, making it a must-visit for those seeking a memorable gastronomic adventure.
Recently I happen to visit this place as i wanted to try something new in Udaipur & it was really amazing. The food was top notch. Although it is famous for its Neapolitan pizza but i decided to try something else & it turned out to be delicious as well. The food & drinks are on the expensive side. The ambiance is simple but royal & classy. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. You can try non veg. dishes too & you will love it. Kebabs were the best i have ever had, so tender & flavourful. Can’t wait to try their famous pizza, the next time. 👍🏻

Poppy by Royal Repast is truly the best restaurant in Udaipur, and here's why. Housed in a charming old heritage bungalow, the ambiance sets the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. What makes Poppy stand out is its ability to surprise with every dish served – a rarity among restaurants.
The restaurant excels in serving the best Laal Maas in Udaipur capturing the essence of Rajasthan's rich culinary heritage. On the other hand, their Neapolitan pizzas are the best pizza experience in Udaipur, making Poppy a go-to spot for pizza enthusiasts. Poppy by Royal Repast has truly raised the bar for restaurants in Udaipur, making it a must-visit for those seeking a culinary adventure that transcends expectations. Must visit restaurant in Udaipur
The restaurant is situated in an old heritage bungalow and provides probably the finest dining experience in Udaipur. The restaurant is run by Badla family which rightly claims to be a house of culinary heritage of Rajasthan. The same family is said to have originated Lala mass and they literally serve the best Lala Maas in Udaipur. We also tried their Italian and it was too good. Neapolitan pizzas were the best I have ever had. Cocktails were on point too. Vishnu’s recommendations were superb. All in all poppy is a must visit place when you’re in Udaipur.
Food was great, in fact one of the best places in Udaipur to have Italian food. Service was amazing. Very courteous staff and good Ambience.
The Best Italian, Mughlai and Indian food, I have ever had. This place deserves every 5 stars there is on the review menu. The ambience, the staff, the food everything was like Virat Kohli playing his cover drive too beautiful to put on words. I am visiting this place again every time I visit Udaipur.
I went on a date and we both loved the food.
We had Khargosh kebab, mushroom ravioli and pizza. I loved everything. The PIZZA was one of the best that I have ever had.
SERVICE is very prompt. The waiters are very attentive and friendly.
Whatever dish you order it’s going to be delicious.
Felt the pizza was a bit overpriced. Had the Rodolfo Pizza
Murg Malai Tikka - Top
Kadhai Paneer - Top
Jeera Rice - Top
Brownie - Top
Overall one of the classy places in Udaipur with quality taste food.
Awesome service!! My family and I dined in the courtyard and the aura was exquisite. Both non-veg and veg dinner options were great. Even the vibe of the place was vintage, mainly of the 90's, kind of like Home Alone and retro sitcoms of the 2000's. Definitely would recommend for the whole family.
What a place! The atmosphere, food and service was amazing…Best India and Italian food i have ever had!!
