It's famous for rajasthani as well as gujrati food. It's been long I visited there, food was quite good and taste was not upto the hope. It would be better with time and has a great crowd on week days.
After saheliyon ki badi visit, we were so hungry, and we visited this place. The thali is super amazing. We loved it.
Rajasthani thali
Dec 25 lunch: Post our visit to Sahelion ki bari, we landed up at this place for our first lunch on our trip to Rajasthan. We were lucky to get a table as soon as we walked in. It is spread across ground and first floor. The interiors and ambience is quite nice even though there is quite a bit of noise around.
We had the thali as well as daal bati churma. It was a nice experience to eat traditional items made out of vegetables and ingredients from the state. The food is made from ghee and is heavy for the stomach. But we enjoyed our thali. For the kids, we had paneer butter masala - which was also good.
The service is bit on the slow side. Overall, a good experience eating the local food.
We loved the food especially man how soup, hara bhara kabab, paneer tikka masala, daal fry etc... almost everything was good. On our request they accommodated us on their first floor dining area which was closed due to lesser crowd. Because they had sofa chair on the first floor, and would be comfortable for the babies we requested to open for us and they obliged.
It was Friday a day after Holi. Huge crowd. And our guide brought us here to have lunch. Amazing tasty food. We had thali one of the best. Rajasthani thali, mouth watering delicious. If a tourist become happy with the food what more a restraurant need as a review. Keep it up guys.
Amazing Rajasthani cuisine food at reasonable rate. Friendly and cooperative staff. One of the best daal baati eating experiences I have had in a long time.
Nice place with good food. Ate sev tamatar which is a maharashtrian speciality. Cheap priced and nice ambience. Good for family gatherings. Chhach was also good
Had a good experience here. Waiting managed well and order served fast. Tawa rotis served hot make the meal special. The vegetables are tasty.
My cab driver suggested this place. I don't know if he gets a commission or what but the food was very delicious and the ambience was pretty okay too. Staff could've been improved a little as I heard few of them pass lewd comments about the foreigners that came to the restaurant.
The pricing of this restuarant combined with the superb taste is what makes me give it 5 stars.
Food is great, order rajasthani thali only when you visit, you will get otions of roti (missi and tandoori mix), rise and bati. This place is very crowded at peak hours, I would suggest to visit odd timings. Also you can share a thali here.
excellent service. fantastic food - finger-lickimg north Indian delight. surely will come again and again whenever i am in udaipur. highly recommend
Great food!!
You get to taste authentic Rajasthani food. Even the quantity is worth the cost. We ordered 4 thaalis for 6+2 (adults and kids). And we were mighty full by the end of the meal.
Sengri sabji and missi roti were my favorites.
The hotel staff was courteous. We even got a refill for certain sabjis.
The food service was fast.
Ambience is alright for family dinners.
The best way to enjoy this meal is to go empry stomach 😉

My colleague and I stepped in here for lunch. It looked pretty dead in the afternoon. We were the only people eating there. Nevertheless, we ordered two thalis. The thalis looked great and tasted pretty good too. Nothing extraordinary. The service was great. They were quick and didn't make us wait. Really appreciated that. The inside was clean and neat. Would go here again.
good interiors...awesome food...with a lot of variety..punjbai food ,thali and chat items are great....must visit place if you visit udaipur
Truly, a one stop shop for all your taste buds...right from snacks to desserts ..you get majority of cuisines there....must try if somebody ever visits udaipur.....we went there with a large group and ordered different items....each item was sumptuous and especially thali and sweets are excellent..
Went thr with 10 ppl. Excellent place with awesum food. Very decent n humble staff providing timely service. V had Rajasthani thali n daal baati, experienced real rajasthani fud. We had dinner with family and friends during our Udaipur stay it is a nice restaurant within the city located on GF and first floor
There were plenty of options for vegetarian food right from Punjabi food, Gujarati food, Local Rajasthani food
Table services are available The waiter was very sober and nice speaking and faster service were provided
Food quantity and quality was comfortable in comparison to cost
As the name suggests 56 bhog restaurants it is purely vegetarian
This restaurant is situated close to Fatehsagar Lake and Saheliyon ki Baari. I had heard of mixed reviews of the place and still decided to go here. The service and seating management could be better here so that people don’t have to wait that much. I had Rajasthani Thali here which was more than sufficient for one person. It had daal, baati, churma, tandoori roti, kadhi pakora, aloo pyaaz, gatta subzi, pulao, chutneys and papad. The overall taste was good and I had a good time relishing my meal. It was a solo visit.
This is a good place for food if you’re in Udaipur. However they take time to prepare your order and it may test your patience if you’re in hurry. Food is tasty and Ambience is good. Their tawa roti is quite good and Masala Papad is must to have. Chilly Paneer Dry is must to have and I think all their Paneer Dishes are good.
Amazing place. Great for Unlimited Rajasthani Thali. Being a Bong, we were not sure on what each item was and how to pair it, Kamlesh took very good care of us explaining everything. Great Experience
No doubt the food was delicious and the ambience was also great. It is always crowded and you may need to wait to get a table. After getting the table, you also need to wait for the food because of the heavy rush. We got our food within a few minutes as we made connections with the waiters 😂. Everything was great about the restaurant except the waiting time because I saw many people leaving the restaurant without having their food. It will be good if they can expand it a bit and hire some more people.
If we talk about the cost/person, I will say it was budget friendly and the cost was around 300-400/person.
Must try:- Daal bati choorma and stuffed naan ❤️
Lovely food at Chappan Bhog. Their Dal Fry was something to die for. Pizzas are very generous and tasty.. liked their biryani
The biggest negative is there is a long waiting, Infact even after occupying seats it would take another 10 minutes to place order. So if you are ready to wait for 30 minutes.. its worth the try…
I ordered a fixed thali and pudina lacha Paratha in the a la carte section, The taste is good but not exceptional as everyone hype it to be. Roti is tandoori not tava roti. Panchmel dal and aloo pyaz were good but other dishes and chutney were average.
Thalis we’re amazing.Stomach full.Actually more than enough but you get a gist of the food what Rajasthanis have.Amazing.
We took thali worth 380/- for lunch and chach.
We visited this place as suggested by our driver from the Pink city tours and travels. The food was awesome but the waiting time outside was about 20 minutes and we had to wait for another 15 minutes to get the menu thanks to the mad rush.
The ambience was good but the service was very slow. The food though was mouth watering and delicious. We ordered their fixed Rajasthani thali and Dal baati thali, the quantity of which was more than enough.
This place is nearer to Sahelio ki baari tourist spot. Great ambiance, good food and nice service. I ordered daal-bati churma thali, Shahi paneer and naan, everything tasted good.
Excellent food!! Had ordered the Royal unlimited Rajasthani thali!! The best part about the restaurant is that you eat the Rajasthani thali in the Rajasthani style 😍 Kamlesh had served us. He is an excellent person. He looked after us the whole time we were eating. Very very good service
If u r going there , must try their Royal Thali. Excellent food, very nice staff, specially Kamlesh.. he makes u feel like your mom serves you . Daal baati was one of the best thing I have had.
The restaurant has ala carte menu and thali (both options) available.
We had Thali and the food was just amazing and Unlimited ;)
The chaas was fresh (unlike few places where it was but sour). The vegetables were tasty and fresh.
The service was quick.
The owner is very friendly and we were able to enjoy Rajasthani dishes. The food tastes very good. Maintaining hygiene.
Awesome place for a high quality rajasthani cuisine.
We had a thali, which was outstanding.
Pros:
1. Good and authentic rajasthani food
2. Calm ambience
3. A family restaurant
4. This is a restaurant where locals eat (and not tourists). Hence, you will get the original deal here.
Cons:
1. A bit away from most tourist places. You can take an auto from Haathipol to reach here.
2. It closes at 10 PM. Hence, need to be mindful of time when planning to visit.
Visiting here was a nice memory from our Udaipur visit.
Outstanding food and very warm welcoming service. Must visit in Udaipur . Special thanks to Kamlesh ♥️♥️♥️
