Variety of sweets available with the delicacies of lassi. One should try pyaaz kachori and piping hot jalebis.Definitely a famous food joining of udaipurians.
We bought dal kachodi and samosa...which were very high on taste and bought sweets too...our tuktuk wala took us there saying this sweet shop is very high on quality as i wanted to get some sweets for my friends to hyderabad.on asking the shop people, they made us taste kaju pateesa, and few other sweets. We bought kaju pateesa as it was very yumm, khoya ghevar, chhena murki, chota rasgulla....basically a lot of sweets and would recommend the shop👍🏼
Heard of JMB Kadi Kachori on Internet ,so on my Udaipur Visit give a try.JMB is small outlet which serves very delicious कड़ी कचोरी ..
Kachori crushed and after this mixed with kadi, dahi, groundnut, imli chutney and sev..
Must try this when you visit Udaipur
Nice little, and famous sweet shop near Chetak circle. We went to this place just to have the onion Kachori. The Kachori was excellent, and we actually ate it outside itself. They also have sweet shop, where they sell loads of sweets. This is Udaipur’s equivalent of Bikaner in Gurgaon.
Great place for kachoris and other snacks. Nothing too fancy regarding the ambience. The premises were quite clean and hygienic. The staff was extremely polite.
This restaurant is situated in the bustling city of Udaipur. When visiting this city a must try place for pyaz kachori and daal kachori. Also the mirchi ka pakora was yum.
Found this gem of a place on Zomato and decided to drop in for a taste of Udaipur's famous Kachoris! It's a shop which is split in two parts - one for the sweets and one for the Kachoris and freshly made things that you can eat there.
We tried the Pyaaz kachori and the daal kachori and both of them were absolutely perfect. They were incredibly delicious, full of flavor and all the good stuff. The outside was flaky and the inside was yummy. They were piping hot and we enjoyed them with their yummy chutneys.
The platform for eating could have been a little cleaner, but overall the food made up for it. The staff was friendly too. Definitely a must visit.
This place is located in city centre ,udaipur
I tried pyaaj kachori ,dal kachori
Fafdaa and dhokla
Pyaaj kachori and dal kachori were good in taste and it comes with a delicious chutney
Dhokla was too much sweetened i didnt like too much
But overall it was a nice place to have light breakfast
Jagdish misthan bhandar at Suraj pole is one of the legendary outlets in Udaipur. During my recent trip, one of our localite friend took us to this place. It is a total no frills place - yummy food at a reasonable price.
We couldn't resist the temptation of having "taazi garma garam kachori". I tried the famous pyaz ki kachori. It is quite a huge kachori and is amazingly flavourful. It was served with two chutneys. I also tried their dal ki kachori which were also very tasty, but I liked the pyaz one more. The place also has a great variety of sweets - tiranga barfi being one of the famous sweets here.
An oldest and a must visit place when you are in Udaipur. You can the best onion kachori, daal kachori, mirchi bada and imarti in the city!
We visited twice during our 3 day tour. The shopkeeper uncle is humble and tells you everything you ask. Superb food and a must visit place.
A hot favourite amongst locals, this place is undoubtedly a great choice for breakfast or may be a quick bite anytime during the day.
Located at City Centre, this place has a full-fledged outlet with variety of namkeens and sweets. Beside this, there is another small outlet for real and authentic Rajasthani snacks. We tried Pyaz Kachori, Khaman Dhokla and Imrati. Loved the taste. The Kachori was huge and had good amount of stuffing. You get 3 varieties of chutney along with it. The Dhokla was quite soft, and almost melted in mouth. Imrati was made to the perfection with the right amount of sweetness.
Don’t forget to try them out when in Udaipur.
A small road side shop full of authentic Rajasthani cuisine.
Pyaaz kachori & green chilli Pakora tasted best. Dal kachori was also nice. Bread Pakora was average. May be because it was cold and had a thick layer of batter.
In sweets do try their mewa kachori. And if u come during winters do not miss gajar ka halwa and moong dal ka halwa. It's must try. Kshitij Paul
JMB is one of the favourite place for breakfast in udaipur... The shop is crowded with locals and tourists for trying their mouth watering Indian breakfast items like poha, khaman, dhokla, dal ki kachori and pyaaz ki kachori with their chutenys and kadi ...
Tried all of their products and was so impressed with the taste and quality that ended up going their 3 days in a row ...
The sweet section of the shop sells some exotic sweets with kaju patisa and horlicks barfi with some great farsan items ... Ended up packing multiple boxes for home ... Complete value for money and great indian taste ...
Best place for breakfast in udaipur.
Everything i had was fresh, yummy and pocket friendly.
Things to try:
The pyaaz ki kachori, dhoklas and jalebi fafda.
Also, the sweets are a must have.
Do not leave without trying the Malai Ghevar and Kaju Sonpapdi.
Must try the Pyaz ki Kachori since JMB is famous for it. The malai ghevar is made once you order it and tastes amazing. If you prefer something lighter, the plain ghevar is a good option.
Onion kachoris are the best here. It's yummy and fresh at very affordable price of Rs 10 per piece . So before i was leaving from this beautiful city i was suggested by my hotel people to try sweets and kachori from this very famous outlet.i was getting late so just parcelled 12 kachoris and half kg ghewar without tasting and when i got stabled I tasted 1 of the kachori which had a very unique taste and I regret of taking less. It has a very different masala and can stay 1 day without staling. My office people got crazy when I offered them. Now this has become one of my favourite
When Twotablespoons visited JMB:
Kush: I really want to eat kachoris & samosas. I tasted them for the first time in Jodhpur & since then I have been craving for it.
Anj: I know Kush. Stop repeating it. You've been saying this since we landed here. Let's ask someone around.
Kush: I asked this medical shop guy, he suggested JMB.
Anj: Alright, let's walk over a km for your kachoris. Btw, we can eat Ghewar too. You'll love it.
Kush: I have a sweet tooth anyway.
Anj: And we arrive. 2 onion kachori. Sorry Kush, samosas over. We need to be here before 4 pm to eat all of that. It is 7 pm & we're late as per Udaipur Standard Time.
Kush: Gosh, Mumbai is better. Okay, let's eat the kachoris.
Anj: How did you like it?
Kush: Yummy. I generally throw the chutneys which we generally get. But JMB prepares the best chutney. It is sweet, spicy & sour at the same time. HOOOOW?
Anj: Control your excitement. Time for some sweets.
Kush: I too full. And it is late too. We'll come here again.
Anj: Okay.
We enjoyed the food so much that we visited this place twice & tasted all the snacks alongwith Ghewar & Ras Malai .
Twotablespoons say: Ambience: 3/5, Food: 4/5, Service: 4/5
Famous for ghewar
We bought ghewar
It was good
Will for sure have again
The place is crowded
Also bought a packet of banana chips!!
The taste of the ghewar was original! The base was rightly done! Right amount of sweetness
Really nice place to have great street food in a good location. Kachori were really awesome along with sweets were really mouth watering. Better to go on daytime or before late evening to have all the tastes before they get complete.
JMB is a sweet shop near the train station. I wouldn't advise walking there once you move into the lake region (due to distance and general traffic) so plan it for day with a driver. The sweets are available fresh and also boxed to take away. My preference isn't for sweets so I can't really advise on them other than the ones with pistachio were honeyed over and too sweet for me. I think I prefer my pistachio dessert in gelato or Turkish baclava.
Went to JMB after all the good reviews. The place is good for breakfast items like kachoris, Samosas, Mirchi Vada etc. I liked the fafda and Dal kachoris the most. Pyaaz kachoris are good but were a bit tangy for my palate. We also brought several sweets for home. Can be visited when in Udaipur.
Mithai shop with a lot of varieties ....Surprised that they don't make ghewar and just sell the packaged ones!!!
Tried Kaju Katri ,Kaju Patisha and Pineapple Barfi ..Mithais are fresh and staff is more eager to make to make you taste then you are..
Amazing Sweets specially the Malai Ghevar, totally mouth watering and yummy, would definitely recommend people to try it on their visit to Udaipur.
Well known for the Pyaaz ki Kachori, the place also serves hot Jalebis which is popular among the locals. Located right in the commercial part of Udaipur, it enjoys a lot of footfalls mainly for the pyaaz ki kachori. Other sweet products are also good.
PYAAZ KI KACHORI/ MAWA KACHORI
Pyaaz kachori, shimla mirch kachori, Dal kachori and the Dhokla.
Fuckin too good for breakfast/snack.
But they usually get finished by lunch, so be there earlyy!
A steep hectic travel crom city palacw and then the kachori here was like heaven for me. We had the most amazing pyaz kachori and mawa kachori which activated our taste buds. The best part when those slim fafda came along with spicy chillies and kept us in those garden of taste. The climax was with those imratis. Had to bring home a kilo for my parents eagerly hoping to visit back soon
Kachori is quite spicy and they said it's their "speciality" but its nice and better than any place in entire udaipur.
On the other hand, don't try their so called "misthan" Cuz that sucks!
The place is best known for the kachoris and the mirchi badas. The jalebis are impeccable. A perfect place for a super Udaipuri breakfast. Morning walks at Gulab Bagh and then breakfast at JMB, it's ritual for Udaipurites!
City centres sweet shop, regular snacks items available, one can eat good quality khaman here, all sweet varieties are tasteful, as well as snacks/namkeens
Very nice place to have authentic breakfast of kachori and vadas, they have different varieties of kachori and mirchi Vada, they also serve fafda and Desi ghee jalebi, the rate is also very reasonable, the place is mostly crowded in morning time , people come here from very far for there taste
JMB Jagdish Misthan Bhandar in Udaipur is a true culinary treasure, offering a delightful and authentic taste of Rajasthan's and Gujarat's traditional sweets and snacks. Situated in the heart of City Centre, this iconic sweet shop has been serving locals and tourists alike for generations, and it continues to impress with its rich heritage and delectable offerings.
The highlight of JMB is undoubtedly its mouthwatering array of sweets and namkeens (savory snacks). From the ever-popular classics like Ghewar, Petha, and Mawa Kachori to the delectable varieties of Ladoos and Barfis, each bite is a burst of flavors that take you on a delectable adventure through the region's culinary heritage.
In addition to the sweets, JMB also offers an impressive range of savory delights, such as Dal Kachori, Mirchi Vada, and Moong Dal Barfis, that complement the sweetness perfectly. These savory treats make for an excellent accompaniment to a cup of masala chai and are equally beloved by locals and visitors alike.
It has two sections one for snacks/breakfast items and second for sweets. It is a very famous joint for different varieties of sweets. We bought Mixed burfi, Ghewar, Kaju patisa and Pyaaz kachori. All were tasty and delicious.
Many famous celebrities also visited this place. The only thing that can be better is sitting options. We went there in the morning and there was a rush as there was no sitting arrangement.
If you are in Udaipur and traveling back home then get some sweets for your loved ones.
Good Place to purchase sweets and udaipuri items.
Owner behaviour is good and too many option to payment.
I have tried Kaju kalash and aam Papad from the store.
Having parking issue in peak hours.
Udaipur Famous JMB know for there sweets which is Rajasthani gevar and peda, But most importantly they are famous for their pyaz ke kachori as well.
If you visit JMB anytime you will find the hot pyaz ke kachori. They start from early morning and serves till late evening.
If you are a tourist and visiting udaipur for the first time then you should try their pyaz ke kachori and mirchi bada.
I am eating here from last 15 years and the taste is same as always no change at all.
When I was a child I come with my father on sunday morning to take kachori and mirchi bada.
Even there kesar jalebi is also yummy.
I recommended this place to everyone visiting udaipur for the first time.
10/10 for pyaz ke kachori
I visited there for breakfast. Took onion chori, daal chori, khulad wali chai, and jalabi.
Took some sweets from there.
Sweets was awesome. I suggest you to take more than you think you can consume 😜.
PS: Follow me for such more reviews. Have a nice day 😀
Jagdish misthan bhandar is top dessert shop in Udaipur city. The taste is great and fabulous having variety of sweets, home made Namkeen.
This shop has most visitors in city.
I suggest this place.
Nice experience here.
My View: One of the best places in Udaipur to visit to enjoy local Rajasthani authentic food like Kachori, jalebi etc.
No parking in front of hotel, it is crowded. We tasted kachoris, sweets, dokla, kalebo and every item tasted good.
Local food stall type with stand and eat facility, neatness is just okay.
We visited JMB for breakfast in the morning (arround 8am)
We ordered aloo pyaaz kachori, Khandvi, Patra and out of all of these - khandvi was excellent. Aloo pyaaz kachori and patra were also good but my personal favourite was Khanvi.
They offer 3 types of chutney (green chutney, red chutney and kadhi). Kadhi was authentic and was my favourite. Kadhi had sweet, tangy and slightly spicy taste and I am personally a fan of such combination. Some may have a different opinion as kadhi was a little sweet.
Tea - Tea made by JMB was not good. It was extreemly sweet and no ginger, no chai masala etc. We had asked them to make tea with less sugar and more of ginger but they refused to make customised tea.
Because of this we walked a few steps and found customised and good tea with ginger and masala and less sugar at Kushal tea stall and the seller was kind enough to accomodate all our requests.
You cannot miss this place is your in Udaipur. A must try for its Pyaaz Kachori, Dhokla, Samosa, Jalebi fried in Desi ghee and Patra Vadi... Although there are other snack items too, but the ones mentioned above are a must try. Once you take them, I'm sure you'll come back again, just like me!!!! I've come here everyday of my stay in Udaipur!
If you are a dessert (authentic) lover especially of Kaju (cashew) sweets. Please visit this place in Udaipur. They have a variety of desserts with amazing taste.
Their staff and owner are so nice that you couldn't resist buying more. I loved them and got so many sweets for my family and relatives.
Ate delicious and hot, tasty kachori, big sized samosa and garma garam jalebi. Green chutney was tasty as well.
Only negative is that you have to stand and eat. But service is quick.
Authentic sweet and snacks shop..we tried kachori, jalebi, mirchi vada and sweets.. all r very tasty..no 4 wheeler parking in front of shop..rates r reasonable
Jagdeesh mishthan Bandar popularly known as JMB is the most famous place to have breakfast in the morning and evening. It is well know for its taste. There is too much crowed every time in their shop. Their behavior is not friendly(may be it is all because of the crowed) there is not a proper place to sit and enjoy your meal, even sometimes it is very tough to stand there.
If we talk about taste of their breakfast items that is amazing. Everything I tried there like kachori, mirchi bada, daal pakodi, tea, jalebi are very tasty and mouth watering. Indeed They have a good sense of taste but zero sense of hospitality.
One of the oldest and best place to have Kachoris and jalebis. I also tried their poha and malpuva it was delicious. If you are in Udaipur you should definitely try food at this place.
This establishment is well known for its sweets and there are some very mouthwatering ones on display here. We got Balushahi and Malai Ghevar for ourselves. The Bhalushahi was soft and light, just the right amount of sweet. Malai Ghewar too was delectable and was so good that we took 3 of it..🤤
Best sweet & farsan shop in udaipur. Their specialty is their rabdi gheewar and pyaaz ki kachori, their rabdi is so good also the gheewar. I also tried their other sweets. I had Gulkand kaju katli and it's just delicious, not too sweet gulkand stuffee between a kaju katli was a perfect combination. We always have sonpapdi but they have kaju papldi it was supper delicious, the kaju papdi just melts in the mouth.
