The best part is this place has many options to enjoy with friends or family. Open air with lake view, roof top area with lake view, another restaurant with couches and big screen etc. Try tandoori items in starters with you favorite drink and main course is good as well.
Easily the best restuarant in the city when it comes to food and hospitality. I loved the location of the place as well bang opposite to Fateh Sagar lake :) We had fish tikka and the taste was mesmerizing :) Price is one thing that is the best about this place although the feel is of a 5 star restaurant :) Must go place to eat in Udaipur :)

shahibagh an ordinary sounding name had an extra ordinary experience to serve. The moment you enter the place it is all vintage feeling but with the rising steps time lapses to a modern and cozy terrace. This multi cuisine rooftop restaurant is must to visit for its ambiance overlooking a lake. Food was good, too.
Food review
1. Lemon Coriander soup was ok. Taste was good but the consistency was lil thick
2. Sweet corn chicken soup had a very very strong flavour of an egg. Might be cause of an egg quality but it killed the appetizer.
3. Mutton seekh kebab was good in taste but the preparation was really very good
4. Baked Macaroni was yummm
5. Cottage cheese shashlik sizzler was a very good preparation without any ingredient waste.
6. Veg. Grilled sandwich was amazingly balanced one with a stuffing of veg patty, some slices of pineapple and of course few vegetables.
7. Paneer Butter Masala was also a finger licking recipe.
8. Egg Biryani was nicely made.
Service part in Rajasthan, one should not even comment there as the river of hospitality irrupts from here 😂

This place is decent, View is good morever food was okay and not much expensive.
We ordered spring rolls, dal makhni, some paneer gravy and cheese naan. Main course was good but I felt in spring rolls the stuffing was too much and sauces were lacking inside. They could have made two rolls instead.

Been here on a recent trip to Udaipur, this one is amongst the top 5 restaurants there, gives a spectacular view of the Fateh Sagar Lake, with superb service and finger licking food on reasonably priced menu. Our order was

Everything was good but Chicken saagwala was the star of the day, perfectly spiced up with all the flavors intact, really not to be missed. Much recommended.
Made to feel very welcome on arrival...I had booked a table and they reserved a table at front overlooking lake at night...I had no long trousers and wife felt cold
..next we were wrapped in lovely warm clean blankets and nearby were large has heaters...fantastic we were sooo cosy...the food was sublime...Lovely flours very attentive staff...only strange thing for me was no drinks menu just told what was available...this just felt wrong... but drinks were reasonable and no complaints. We had the best paneer starter and lovely chicken main saffron rice and crisp rotis. 100 rupee auto from Hotel Lakend where we were staying..highly recommended.
Perched closer to the lake fateh Sagar n more hyped n reviewed "Panna Vilas" n jhumar restaurant ( both of d later are on the other side of the road , with glassed rooftops ) , we found this out of blue moon . See my pics n u Wil get the difference . Open balcony just a few metres behind d airy , dust -free n fresh airs of fateh Sagar lake , this looks like a place to just chill out while a few speed boats zoom over the blue waters of the lake !!!
A small dining area bore a deserted look during lunch hours. We too had just soups n veg platter .. platter was a revelation with assorted paneers n hara bhara crispy kebabs . Though a bit pricey but with d calm n serene looks , it will definitely pass any day..

All I can say . Amazing place and great views from the restaurant . You can sit near the lake on the traditional couch n cushions or the chair . They have a great spread just about all cuisines are there in
the menu. I ordered for dahi ke kabab, peanut masala for starters . The best fish of the afternoon was lal Maas, it’s the best Lal maas I had till date. The flavours were truly Rajasthani , it had the right amount of spices n colour was bright red... it had good amount of red chillies .
The place is few yards away from the main road , vehicles n come easily, taxis were coming inside.

Nice Fateh sagar lake view with balcony seating restaurant located on 2nd floor. Service is little slow but food is awesome. They also serve liquor though not present in menu, just ask waiters. Peanut Masala and curries were very tasty.

shahibagh restro, I understand, means ‘please come in and make yourself comfortable’ in the local language. The service as well as the taste of the food was excellent and so was the ambiance, with a great view of a lake.
had to walk through some narrow streets, while, as we discovered later, there is indeed a navigable road on one side of the restaurant.
The rates were reasonable as well.
I would go there again if I visit Udaipur in the future.
First and foremost the view of the Fateh Sagar from the rooftop is one to cherish. That along with the soothing breeze blowing makes a very peaceful ambience to have a meal.
The crispy corn was a really delicious to start with which really set the tone. Paneer Tikka lababdar was quite different from what is usually served in restaurants with a mustard gravy which in my opinion could have been much better. The Dal Tadka was terrific. Laal Maas also had a decent thick gravy. The breads were decent too.
The dessert consisting of gulab jamun with ice cream stole the show.
Food is about 3/5 and service is quite prompt too.
I was in Udaipur for my two days vacation, just saw this place on zomato and was
impressed by the view it has in front of lake. I went there and they have rooftop and restaurant but as it was Saturday rooftop was full so we decided to sit in restaurant, they provide corner table in Restaurant so your privacy is not hindered.
Coming to food we ordered there murg malai tikka ( it was so good and tempting) I don’t remember the name but some multiple bread we ordered.
Pasta , paneer kathi roll ( it was so good I never had it before anywhere perfect blend of spices and vegetables)
Hakka noddles
Veg biryani which was good
But overall experience was great.

During my recent trip to Udaipur, I had been to this place (on a recommendation of our frends), it has excellent ambience and has eye catchy views of lake fathay sagar , , you can enjoy the reflection of sajangard Palace while . It was an amazing experience. Reaching there is also challenging through a four wheeler, but worth it!
Apart from view, food was good, seems fairly priced, well cooked/spiced, offers decent varieties too.
, they were pretty good serving water (first impression), of course, food was served relatively quickly.
We left the place with all smiles, overall a good or I would say a must try experience.
Went to this place last week during my leisure trip to udaipur I was deeply touched by the hospitality of the staff. Right from waiter or even watchman.

I visited this restaurant as i wanted to have lunch/dinner at a restaurant with lake view but which is easily accessible. There were some good restaurants but were not easily accessible with car, so i choose this. Went there at evening around 5 and on the waiter's recommendation ordered "methi chicken" and trust me its one of the best chicken dish i ever had. I was expecting a decent preparation but this was way above my expectations. I love spicy food and it was spicy, but pretty well balanced. The restaurant itself isn't too fancy but the view is. Try to arrange a table near the entrance or the wall. The time for waiting the food will fly. Till the time u enjoy the view food will be on your table. Also the prices of this restaurant is reasonable not too high like other lake view restaurant.
. I think this restaurant is more practical, u don't have to walk to go to restaurant nor its too expensive and the food is tasty too, what else u want? Cost for 3 people would be around 900 for non veg and around 700 for veg food. The quantity of dishes were very good.

Tip: After leaving the restaurant i came to know about a eating joint just next to it serving fast food. So encase u r not so hungry on low on budget and is ok with temporary kind of sitting arrangements u can certainly go there as it offers the same view. Haven't tried it so can't say how's the taste etc. But i felt like sharing the information as a traveller. I have attached a photo of that food joint also.

A friend of mine had recommended I try this place for their meals and since I was staying with them during my recent trip to the city I was like okay let's do this .. !
So for lunch the day I arrived it quite late around 1 or 2 and wasn't looking to eat quite a bit so I just ordered 2 appetizers and a main course that consisted of some Dal Fry & Jeera Rice .. !
The first appetizer I ordered was their Tandoori Stuffed aloo ( I was explicitly told to try this here without fail ) and 'm glad I tried this .. ! First of all, portion sizes are great for the pricing but more importantly the taste of it all ... The earthiness of the aloo with the heat of the chilli and the spice and that smoke from the char on the outside .. if you're a vegetarian or not this is a beautiful appetizer .. !
The second appetizer was a Chicken malai. I comes dressed with grated cheese so I just assumed oh it'll just be some regular Chicken Tikka with some grated cheese on. But I was wrong .. it's nothing like your regular Chicken Tikka
... ! The cheese lends in a creaminess and helps balance out the spices, while the chicken cooked and seasoned perfectly is a delight to eat.
Dal Fry & Jeera Rice ... ! I love my Dal & Rice, for me Dal & Rice satisfies my soul it's kinda my comfort food, and I always am happy if there's a good Dal & Rice at the end of a meal .. ! This one here, is as good a Dal Fry & Jeera Rice as you can get.
Since I was staying here, my breakfasts were done here too .. ! Very good Scrambled Eggs, Omlettes and Parathas.
Overall a wonderful place for any meal, the view out the window is lovely and so is the staff, extremely polite and respectful 😁

on our trip to Udaipur, we got a chance to dine at shahhibagh this place is the ambience & the panoramic view of Fateh Sagar Lake that will leave you spell-bound.. Their menu comprises of lipsmacking options from north-indian, italian and chinese cuisines.. The staff is warm & welcoming and the service is prompt..
Coming to what we had,
- Manchow Soup : Hot and spicy!! The best thing about manchow soup is that it is topped with fried noodles. I love that crunchy noodles with hot, spicy, sour soup..
- Chicken Bhujma: Tender soft juicy chicken marinated in authentic indian spices served with an amazing chutney.. This aromatic dish makes you droool!!
- Paneer Achari Tikka : Soft chunks of paneer marinated in flavourful achari tikka masala.. Totally loved it!!

Food- aaha!!! Too yummy, tried lal maans, chicken had masala. Just tell ‘’ about the spice level n he’ll get dishes customised. all ar works there- nice guy and best hospitality. Food is very very delicious, chicken too soft- sorry cudnt stop appreciating it. Been there 3 times - because of the taste n service.
Ambience- Located near Fateh Sagar. The Fateh Sagar lake can be seen and the place is very crowded.
Service- Quite good and courteous.
Food- The menu is quite good.

The closest descent restaurant to . We visited for dinner which turned out to be the best decision. It was not just a good restaurant, but by the looks of it, definitely a good hotel. It had those balcony which we had earlier seen in sajjangard palace. And the whole ambience was royal .
We ordered the usual. Some chicken malai tikka for starters which turned out to be out of the world. The chicken melted like the cheese and it was just exquisite. A bit pricey but delicious. No complaints there.
Laal mas and naan for dinner which turned out so good that we forgot the price of the meal. The laal mas is a must. Everyone must visit shahibagh for laal mas if nothing else.
The wooden Terrance on top for the Terrance gave an unhindered view of the lake and the calm atmosphere softly touched by the live instrumental music. It was just the best thing ever.
The last I visited was on Sunday. Can't write down here the mesmerizing beauty of the landscape from the roof top - on one side sajjangarh fort amidst beautiful setting sun and on the other side, almost entire view of fatehsagar
If someone wants a lake view in Udaipur along with an excellent food this is the best place

Amazing place at the start of Rani Road from ambamata side. Such a beautiful reception to enter the place and also the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful. Such a romantic place to have candle light dinner with your partner. The view offered here is of the complete Fatehsagar lake.You can also sit in the AC hall other than open rooftop area. The environment of the place is very soothing with soft music playing all time. So many scrumptious dishes are offered to the customers and each one is a delicacy.

It's a nice rooftop restaurant with a great view of Fateh Sagar Lake and the hills surrounding it. The food is nice, especially the fish tikka in starters, and the service is excellent. The ambiance is bright, breezy, and refreshing. They also serve beer 🍺 and other alcoholic beverages. It's a must go place if you want to dine 🍽 in a relaxing and soothing setting.
