Last week we visited the newly opened restaurant Vantage situated on the Trident road that has been launched by one of the famous restauranteurs in the city who owns another popular eatery Panna Vilas Restaurant & Lounge near Fatehsagar.
Located in one of the popular hotel & restaurant area, Vantage offers two modern and upbeat dining areas; we chose to seat at the Upper Deck area that offers a panoramic view of the beautiful city, from Lake Pichola & the City Palace on one side to Sajjangarh on the other.
The moment you settle in the comfortable bucket seats, the first thing you're going to notice is the beautifully lit setting. Usually, the rooftop places are too dark, but here, they have lit up the entire space in such an aesthetic way that you will immediately feel cosy and romantic yet able to see your partner's face.
Coming to the food, the menu is pretty diverse and offers a wide choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from difference cuisines.
We thought to try their Mughlai dishes. The first thing that we ordered was Yakhni Shorba. A traditional Kashmiri soup that is cooked with goat's meat, bone broth and spiced very lightly. The rich flavour of the broth and the faint smell of the spices is a combination that helps to register its subtle yet unique taste.
The next was Chicken Afghani Tangdi kabab.
They provide it in two types of marination, one the with regular cream & curd base and the other one without cream.
We made a special request (will disclose the reason being 'special' a little later) and they serve both the varieties on a single platter.
The one with cream and curd base was something I liked the most. The little-charred effect on the sides made the chicken a bit crispy on top but juicy and tender inside. The marination was perfect and penetrated the inner layer of the chicken nicely. The other variant that looks like the regular red coloured chicken tangdi was good too.
Next dish that we tried was Fish Tikka!
Undoubtedly one of the best that I had in Udaipur so far. The juicy and flaky pieces of locally caught Singhara (a type of fish easy to debone) was perfectly marinated and then cooked in tandoor. Loved the creamy top layer and I must mention the portion size, which is way too better than that we find in any of the similar restaurants.
After that, we ordered Galawati Kebab.
Now I don't think there is much to say about the fascinating history of one of the most popular and favourite kebabs of our country. The melt-in-the-mouth delicacy was prepared nicely by the chefs at Vantage, and they serve the kababs on top of similarly small size rotis. And the dish was served with a specialty homemade curd sauce that we liked a lot.
It was a great evening with good food and especially because of excellent hospitality by the restaurant owner Mr Siddhanth Parihar. A young, passionate restauranteur who has spent a significant amount of his time inside and outside kitchen in the F&B industry and have worked with many reputed brands across India.
Being a trained Chef, Mr Parihar developed some really fascinating recipes and tweaked some popular ones with his signature style, and that makes most of the Vantage's dishes a unique one to taste. We had a good chat learning Mr Parihar and his family's contribution to their brands and the restaurants, Panna Vilas and the Vantage both.
Overall a must visit place if you are craving for good food in a nice setting. Personally, I can visit this restaurant umpteenth number just to try those Afghani Tangdis!
Its not always easy to locate a place for a perfect meal and a perfect view. But when you do find such a place, you need to definitely put a word out to the world for the same.
Vantage by Panna Vilas is every bit of flare & fancy with beautiful & alluring ambience and offcourse mouth-watering & luscious dishes.
Tucked away on the lake side, this rooftop restaurant has a very Beautiful Ambience and it offers variety of dishes along with some Delicious Pastries and Cupcakes. So, if you want to have a proper dine in experience with the candle light, splendid view of lake and City Palace, rooftop experience and delicious food, this is the place you *MUST* wanna check in to.
We were in Udaipur and wanted to try some new place for dinner, browsed internet for best restaurants with view and this was on the list. This restaurant has a view of Lake Pichola, I loved the sitting area of the upper deck. That day, we were somehow unlucky, as their lift was not operational and this restaurant is on the top floor, we did wait for 1 hour, but ultimately had to climb stairs, even the elders of my family as it was already 10 PM and we had no choice left. Till that time our excitement level went really low andΒ were expecting some really good food to lift our mood. We ordered Pasta, rissoto and some appetizers and they were good on taste, but not very great though. I loved the view and the staff members, they tried to make us comfortable and were friendly. I would suggest this place for people, who want a good view while dining
Went here for dinner. Itβs a beautiful space with crazy lake view plus the music was so melodious and calming.
The food was great.. options in drinks were limited and pretty costly.
I will rate this place 5 on 5 for great services and view.
It is one of the good hotel serving tasty food in udaipur It's have nice view of lake pichola & city palace of udaipur with good ambiance, The food was very tasty it's cook,as per my preference.

So... In the city of lakes... Vantage is one of the good place if you are craving for sumptuous food. With the view of pichola lake and city palace, this place offers a great ambiance.
Worth for shakes and starters.
Staff is friendly and supportive.

This is a saviour if you are staying at Trident and doesn't want to spend a bomb on every meal. Walking distance from the Oberoi.

They take time to prepare however is decent enough since it saves time.
I would not recommend this place a special visit though.

The food was amazing. The staff was polite and courteous. The chicken tiffka masala was a tad spicy but the chicken was very succulent. All in all, a must go to place in udaipur.

The food is really delicious... From soup to desert. Everything tasted good. The view to lake pichhola and palace is great. Our attendee Mr. Indra Kumar was very attentive and took our orders very nicely. I would recommend this place to everyone. It's a must try.

Best place for dining with your friend and family. There are many options for alcohol like beer and wine and whisky. You can enjoy Lake view and good food but service is not as much as good but if you request for discount they give on meals. You can plan your bday and match party π.

A soothing place to go and have some quality time with your company. Food is okay but the vibe and ambience makes it good enough for you to enjoy every bit of the moment. Though live music was a bit loud, making it difficult to converse with ease.
If you are going here for the first time then the food here is very good, if you eat it once you will feel like eating again and again.

It is an average restaurant. Not worth the hype. Ambience will not give you a fine dining feel, overpriced and very very overhyped. I would not recommend it. Food taste was okayish....
