Ambience of the place is great, its spacious as well.
Visited here for lunch and ordered below dishes:
1. Masala Papad- was great- 5/5
2. Manchow soup- was amazing, it was hot, thick and tasty too- 5/5
3. Lassuni Paneer Tikka- it was good- 4/5
4. Veg stuffed parantha- was good- 4/5
5. Veg Sichuan Fried rice- was great, with medium spiciness- 4/5
6. Pink lady, Blue lagoon- were refreshing, good as well.
Staffs are good and service was great too!!
Can be visited with family and friends.

The foods we tried here were really very good.
Specially the tikka was just amazing.
The staff's were excellent with thier service.

Great Service, what a hospitality, great, just loved the people over there. Sooo patient and smiley service even if it's past closing time. I must specially mention Chethan and Mahesh for all this.

Saffron is one of the very good restaurants in Udupi serving only Veg food.
The place is apt for family and group of friends to spend quality time with quality food.
The staff here is very friendly and humble, when we visited with family they had an issue with their AC not functioning properly the staff was humble enough to apologise right when we entered and suggested a better table to manage the temperature issue due to AC non-functioning.
It was very kind gesture since we spend around 2hrs in the restuarant and the temperature was manageable.
The food is very tasty and hygiene and of great quality, it does comes with a little higher price compared to Udupi cost but I feel the price justifies the food quantity and quality.
Dont miss Corn Niblets here as it is very fresh and crisp, you can't stop eating it..one of the best Crispy corns I have had in recent times.
Deserts are pretty normal choices but again, of great quality.
I emphasize more on the quality of this place in this review because that is what makes Saffron stand out!!
Great ambience and tasty food. There are plenty of options to order and almost all of what I ordered tasted great. The staff too are very friendly. Decent pricing considering the excellent quality of food.

Loved this place for their choices of food. Only vegetarian but a wide variety of cuisines available. Food is delicious but service could be improved. They are very slow and easily take 25-30 mins to deliver your order.
Very aesthetically pleasing and a grand lux dining experience with professional young waiters who had quite some skills with their hands while serving. Tables are neat and spacious. Perfect for North style dining, not many options from South.
Good vegetarian restaurant. Had been there during our visit to Udupi. Lot of choices for dinner. Liked food. Not much crowded on a weekday. Nice ambiance.
I have travelled to most places in South of India, but if I think of Vegetarian the two places that top my list are Trichy & Udupi!
Adding another restaurant to the must visit list when in Udupi is @saffronvegeterian located on kinimulki road.
The fine dine has a beautiful decor with Kutchi hangings. The staff is warm & approachable.
The pavbhaji fondue is to die for. Loaded with butter & cheese this dish is served hot along with warm peices of pav. The chats are good too. They give you variety of Paani and fillings. The chats are very good on the sweeter side though. Then we had the star fish of the day, the Indian answer to the Italian pizza: our very own desi paratha. Over 20 varieties of paratha.
The desserts are good too. The Rabdi is flavourful. They have an interesting drink called sharabi chaas, served in a beer bottle.
Do try out the place. Currently, the paratha festival 2.0 is on.
The best vegetation dining experience that Udupi has to offer. Every dish is monitored for quality. You can order any dish with your eyes closed and be sure they won't disappoint you
Been here twice for dinner with family. Food is very nice. Chinese and north indian have been tested and found good. The sizzling brownie dessert is fab. The water served is with mint and ginger and tastes nice.
Service is good. However waiters seem to be in a hurry to serve and clear plates.

We, family of four, were desperately searching for North Indian and continental food after eating only South Indian foods for 3-4 days continuously during our Karnataka tour. After googling we found Saffron Restaurant, Udupi(in the same building MTR restaurant is also located)with good reviews. We ordered Paneer Tikka, Sweet Corn soup, Mexican Enchiladas, Pasta Primavera, Paneer Rajwada Kadai, Subzi Diwani Handi and rotis. All the items were really very tasty. Quantity also justified the price charged. Even I can say price was reasonable when compared to the quality. After a very long time we had a good and satisfactory dinner. Thank you chef. I request Saffron Restaurant management to inform the places where they have veg restaurants. Must try at least once. Parking can be done safely on side of the main road.
