Oh my! Thier biriyanis! Just close your eyes and order some biriyani. I loved the veg biriyani there. And my friends loved the chicken biriyani. It was worth the price. To be frank, they charge less compared to the taste they give. Even thier tikkas are good. But we did not like thier shawarma as it was different than usual. Must place in Udupi for some hot and spicy biriyani.
This restaurant is in the prime location, around 300 meters from Karavali junction. They have modified seating arrangements recently. Kitchen has been expanded and customer has to go to first floor for dining and it is cubicle kind of seating structure. They have plenty of food options. Shawarma and grilled chicken are famous dishes here. People working here are friendly. Parking space for 5 cars is available in front yard. If it’s occupied, you will have to park in the road.

In veg soup is good and biryani is also good. Service was a bit slow because of the heavy crowd. Parking becomes a problem as there is not much space in front of the building.
One of Udupi's favourite restaurants. It serves both veg and non-veg delicacies with reasonable prices. They serve simple food with a touch of coastal flavours which makes the food amazing. Their Chinese cuisine and biryani is the most loved. I tried the capsicum chicken which was the best and I would surely recommend everyone to try it. Their chicken biryani (half) was also tasty with a good quantity containing 3 pieces of chicken. The chicken noodles weren't that great.
Talking about the service, the service is reasonable i.e it's neither fast nor slow. Even the staffs are friendly. They also recommend to taste you the bestsellers which are definitely tasty. Since I visited the place during a renovation, I wasn't that satisfied with the ambience. But the place is surely going to be great once it's properly renovated.
This place is usually crowded so you can contact them beforehand to reserve a table for you.
Swadist, a hidden gem in Udupi, has been my go-to spot for the past three years. It's a fantastic family restaurant, notable for its cleanliness and budget-friendly prices.
The staff here are exceptional – the friendliest I've encountered in any Udupi hotel. Their service is top-notch, making every visit memorable. The food is absolutely delightful, with the Chinese combo being a must-try. Swadist is a fantastic place that I highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience

The food was surprisingly okay, service not so much. They have a good number of vegetarian options on the menu which is a relief if you're a vegetarian travelling to the coast. The flavours are not lacking and the ambience is nice for the family.

Swadisht is one of the good and nice value for money and service kinda restaurant in Udupi. The restaurant prepares a variety of cuisine at affordable prices. The restaurant looked clean and staffs are friendly. Good taste and quantity.
Landed here during a recent trip for lunch. The ambience was great. I sat myself in the AC section which felt like heaven after the long walk in the humid climate. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The ambiance was relaxing with dim lights and wood. Being noon wasn't too crowded and the service was really quick. I had a grilled chicken with a couple of mint mojitos. Food quality was simply awesome. Quick and served hot. Flavour was to the mark and so were the beverages. I recommend the biriyani. Chicken tikka. Kebabs. Worth your money for sure. Parking was available in plenty. Evening time would be the best time to visit. Recommended highly. Great for family or just friends.

Love the lunch experience. Tried the chicken aukka thali and it was very filling (can be shared by 2 people). Chichen ghee roast was excellent! The Reshami chicken kabab was unique where it was covered with fluffy egg. Service was quick and good.
