Reviewing after my fourth visit yesterday. A super experience from the beginning to the ned. Service was spot on, food was creative, well thought, balanced and delicious. I do not think there is really a better place around here for South Indian cuisine. This place never disappoints!!!
A great authentic South Indian food place, really classy vibe, and great food. I went for my birthday and the service was brilliant. I have been a dosa lover since I was a little kid. Although the entire menu is delicious, I would suggest opting for their Ghee roast dosas. Would recommend coming here for occasions or general catch ups but make sure you call them in advance to book a table because it is busy always.

22nd Parallel is my go to place for fine dining(South Indian cuisine). Although i have been here several times, i am still surprised with the wide range of dishes and excellent service. I am not exaggerating when i say this, but i feel like a VIP everytime i go there. The staff is very courteous, well read, meticulous and quick on their feet. You cannot compare this to your normal Udupi place, this place caters REALLY well. Coming to the food, i suggest everyone to try each of their meal combos if you like dining alone, the portion is exactly for one and it is sufficient in my opinion. This time i had the Special Saapad (i.e. Special Thaali) and they really maxed out on the amount of food you could fit in a thali, it was a delight to have a taste of traditional South Indian food, non-tampered. Overall the food is 4/5, ambience is 4/5(a bit crowded for the size of the venue), service is 5/5 and the prices are confortable on the wallet😉. I recommend 22nd Parallel for Lunch and Dinner. Next up i am coming in to try breakfast, with the benchmark of expectation set high😉!
Good food, very good service, and nice ambience. Accidental discovery, as we were headed to vijay sales. Weren't really hungry initially, but once we went in, we couldn't resist trying out some of the items on their menu. Tried South Indian cuisine, masala dosa was amazing, so was rava masala, which we ordered twice. Best part was the food was really fresh, the vada sambhar we ordered were nice and crispy. Loved the hospitality as well.

Can we give more then 5 starts! This place is just Amazing! People doesn't mind waiting to dine here, such is the popularity of this place. Shockingly, at the beginning of our experience with them, i was about to just give 4 stars. But such wonderful was the experience that i am talking about 5+ star's.
The owner & his wife are very courteous and friendly. Always with a smile. Based on their recommendations we started with Paniyaram, but for us it was pretty okayish. Nothing to boast and a bit bland for us. At this point they were at 4 starts, but then one by one all scrumptious dishes came. Each & every spoon hitting the taste buds. Highly recommend ghee masala roast, Chettinad idli, pineapple Kesari (which is nothing but pineapple sheera) and ofcourse a PERFECT filter coffee! Yummy dishes......Chef you nailed it!
So if food gets 5 starts what's extra special that makes them 5+ star? Their hospitality, just class apart. Probably, the best i have had so far anywhere. Special mention of Mr. Laltu Ghosh from Kolkata (hope i have spelled the name correctly). This man was so busy but so ever smiling and always wanted to make sure you are properly attended. Owner's, i dont often say this, but this man is precious for you guys. Was really touched by the way he handled guests. Unfortunately, i am not from Vadodara, but when next here, this place is a sure visit :)

Guntur idli is fried idle with masala. Its tasty and finger licking good. Soft and small but the price is quite high on the quantity basis but its good quality. Rava idle was a more healthier option. It is served with sambhar and coconut chutney. It was a good choice. Sambhar is as usual the best and and tasty. 22nd parellel is a must try restaurant and a good place for stomach too.
I've got a fetish for good dosas and this place gets me hot! Everything was just so yummy. This was one of the best mouth-watering dosas I've had grace my taste buds in a long time. This is definitely a spot I'll be frequenting.
Service is very appreciable & the food was in proper taste of south & the spinich cheese dosa was too easy to eat that we don't have to bite it 😅

The bestest place for South India food. Original south Indian taste. Staff is also very good. If you are looking for a place for original south Indian food, you need not to go anywhere else than 22nd parallel.
Heard a lot about this place, for authentic South Indian food, and so glad that it didn't disappoint. Love love love the dosas here, so simple yet filling. The chutneys are yumm too, and the best part is they serve unlimited chutney and sambar. Have tried just 4-5 dishes here, and I can easily say the ghee roast dosa and the filter coffee are my favourites!
P.S. The staff is really informative and the people are really sweet and chatty :)
Always have loved the food here. I don't come here for the regular South Indian stuff like Dosa and Idli. They are good though. But I go for authentic items which seem as if they are directly from South Indian households.
You should go for
1. Appam with Kaikeri Ishtew (Right out of a breakfast table in Kerala)
2. Neer Dosa with Avial
3. Filter Coffee (as authentic as you get in Kannada coffee shops)
Next on my list are Puttu and Idiappam
However I was very disappointed with Parota and Kurma. Having spent a considerable portion of my work life in Kerala, must say Parota was nowhere close to how it should be. Kurma was ok, decently made.
Overall must say, very good place to go for authentic South Indian home food.

Starting with the food- they have best layers of dosas with additive of chutneys and sambhar, I loved the ghee roast dosa and it was yummy. The ambience was good, the service which they provided was best, I didn't have to ask for extra sambhar or chutney, it was all served automatically. Each flavour of spices was been felt on the taste bud. The addition of cheese to Mysore masala dosa was scrumptious. The only thing I didn't liked was the cooling system of the AC, as I was sweating while eating . The worker who were serving the dish are friendly as well as helpful in suggesting the dishes, as it was my first experience with 22nd parallel and it was amazing. I was full after completing these dishes. Amazing experience, do visit the with your family for authentic south Indian food in town.

This review is all about the service first and than the food. Hospitality here is so good that you cannot leave this place without a smile. You don't need to call them for refilling daal/rasam/coconut chatni/garlic chatni. They will know and will refill it without you even need to call them for the same. Staff is so much polite. But the specific & unique reason I'm reviewing this place is the fantastic service offered by their manager. I had ordered a lassi with my meal. The curd however had turned sour. So I didn't drink it but didn't ask for replacement either.
When the manager realized this, he took it back and promptly removed its charge from the bill. This was a very thoughtful gesture, & all the more appreciated given the fact that food at this restaurant is already priced reasonably, far cheaper than at other places.

But d food is very tasty. We asked for Idali plate & Plain Dosa. Both d things r accompanied with sambar & two types of chatnis. Idali was very soft & Dosa was crispy. Both d chatnis have their own taste, one was green chatni of coconut & other was of garlic & red chilly.

Very tasty south Indian food at reasonable prices. The ambience is also very good and service is quite fast. Location of the restaurant is nice. At the entrance it does not look like a good place as entrance is not well maintained. But once you are in you will like the ambience. Overall in moderate price range this is a very good option for south Indian food.
If you love South Indian food, do visit here for several other items. Flavour is amazing here. Service is good. Staff is good. Clean and hygienic environment. Not that spicy is best.
