We had eaten at Sankalp in Mumbai earlier and had loved our experience. So decided to try it at Baroda as well. Needless to say, we were not at all disappointed. The food was really delicious. The idlis were soft and fresh. The Rawa onion dosa was one of the best we’ve ever eaten... loaded with lots on onions, coriander and jeera. Rasam and filter coffee were also good. The curd rice, however, was a bit too cold and slightly sour. But they replaced it with another dish as soon as we brought it to their attention. So service also gets a thumbs up. The paan that they serve at the end of the meal is always an added incentive.
There is no better place than this for authentic and mouth watering South Indian food ! Usually I order idli- vada, one Mysore masala dosa and one cold coffee but I’ve tried the other things too and they all are as tasty but Mysore masala is a win-win for me! Very awesome, clean and calm place.
What I ordered-
Rasam idli - even though i was craving plain idli ao that i could dip it in sambhar and chutney,
i also was craving something spicy hence ended up ordering these and who licked till the last? Me!!! Everything from idli and the rasam, everything was so darn good!
Triple dosa- since one dosa is never enough, ordered these and filled our tummies with all the goodies for 3 times! :p
Here the restuarant is very good place but very costly but you pay you get quality and best food and Authentic south Indian Here the place is very good

Sankalp is a udipi restaurant chain and they spread their business across India and even other countries too. So my guest from USA want to eat something light . They choose to go Sankalp cos they are very familiar with this restaurant and they trust this place and their food.
As we tried so many different varieties of dosa’s and we are satisfied with their service, food quality and quantity too.

I was travelling to Vadodara with parents and looking for a safe vegetarian eating place at the end of the day. Sankalp, I believe is an Udipi reataurant chain and thus selected thia place as a safe option for south indian food.
The food was fantastic as expected but still rating it at 4 star. We ordered Idli, Dosas, Uttapas and Medu vada which was all fine except Medu Vada. I am sure that would also have been a fantastic serving on a regular day but it was obviously not made of Medu Bada batter for our order.
Appreciate the restaurant staff for not saying no to our order at the end of the day even after probably have run out of the batter. But not rating a full 5 star as what they served did not match up to the quality and taste.
After a long time I visited sankalp again, but the taste was awesome and same....authentic southindian food in gujju style...and thats wht a gujju likes...its malgapudi chatni is good.they dont serve it if u hvnt ask for it, so do ask for that yummy malgapuri chatni
The food we ordered was kerrai dosa, chettinad dosa and kurmura masala dosa with lemon lime soda in the beverage and brownie and vanila.the place is must for south indian food.
I went there with my parents , it was quite crowded but they still managed to make us seated comfortably without waiting. The food came pretty quick as well and was good n hot. Only concern was their chutneys taste has changed
Good taste, well cooked, Idlis were nice and white coconut chutney was good, sambhar was tasty, halwa was great, salad and boondi were also tasty, Dal Khichdi was a bit disappointment but overall good experience, could be better, look out for photos posted by me

Spacious, little over-priced,delicious, good ambience. Tried here 1st time today Onion Tomato Uttapam and found chutney and sambhar delicious uttapam too and found these qualities in this restaurant. If you like South Indian food you too should visit this place sometime...

I frequently visit whenever I get the chance and their service always please me.
Staff is so humble and helpful, however this time they misunderstood my order, I ordered Cheese Maysoor Masala Dhosa but they forgot to add Cheese so I have brought this into their attention, they apologized and immediately replaced my dhosa as well.
Highly recommended for all south lovers.

One of the best places to have south Indian cuisine there is no doubt in it ... The sambhar here is unmatched ... The uniqueness is that the taste of sanklap is constant all over India which I really appreciate and salute the chef's to reproduce it in the same manner .. bravo. .

Our parents love this hotel as they are one of the oldest chain of restaurants known for South Indian delicacies. If you talk about me then I like the bhaji dhosa the most as it is spicy. This is THE taste of South India. Finally the flag of authenticity can be planted here. Good hospitality. Patient serving. Decent interiors, but to top it all, mouth watering taste. The chutneys reminded me of the variety of chutneys that I used to have in prestigious chain "Chutneys" in Hyderabad.
Shall surely pay a visit again.

I'm South Indian. This is not good South Indian food. But I guess I was expecting too much in Vadodara. I didn't like the dosas much but they make fine idly.
Conveniently located in GEB circle near tomatoes.
I hope they can concentrate on intricate details that make the difference. They home deliver also I guess so just be lazy and eat South Indian.

Came her to eat with the family and it seemed like a nice place for a family outing if you're looking for South Indian food. The staff seemed quite courteous too.
I personally loved the Cheese Corn Dosa, and everyone else liked the Dosas they ordered.

Service : long line on a Sunday. Was given a token number but people broke the line anyways, which is not cool.
Food:
Onion Vada : was good and soft
Onion rava Masala dosa : decent
Panchratna uttapama : amazing and with good variety
Veg biryani : amazing
The sambhar was okayish and so were other chutney. The only thing worth drooling green chutney.
Money : the bill was around 800 which is decent enough.

Went for dinner for two. Ordered 1 butter idli, 1 vaghar idli and 1 kara mura dosa. All the items were pretty good. But when you're reviewing a south Indian restaurant, 22nd parallel has pretty much become the benchmark for me overall, in Vadodara. So, compared to that I'd rate the taste just a tad below 22nd. For ambience I'd have to say sankalp offers a much better dining experience, be it the quiet environment or the neat cutlery or the seating in the restaurant. The pricing is a bit on the higher side relatively, but not on absolute measures. The menu offers a wider range of items and I'm sure all of them will be equally good. At the end they offer a paan which was quite different and unexpectedly pretty good. For me I'd have to revisit a couple more times with an open mind to make up my mind. But for now i place this just below its prime competitor and strongly suggest a visit if you're looking for a change.
When it comes to South Indian cuisine that too in vadodara the only thing comes to my mind is Sankalp 😘😘 it has the exceptional value of taste 😍😍 truly recommend for the south Indian lovers!! Spring dosa,

Have eaten here twice only and wouldnt rate more than 3 as Ive eaten South Indian in places like Ramashray, Cafe Madras, Amba Bhavan, etc. in Mumbai.
However, this place is well managed and the food is definitely good and one can have a good time with friends and family. Would surely visit again when I get a chance and try some other challenging dishes like the Mysore rava sada utappa, rasam vada, etc
This is one of my all time favourite place for South Indian food. Crispy onion vada is my favourite in starters and the got plenty of verities in main course and trust me I can assure you I've tried everything and for desert brownie is my all time favourite most important they give you complimentary paan which is yummy. The staff is also well trained. It is worth going there.

As my wife wanted to eat medu Wada
we went to Sankalp restaurant across the world....
We ordered medu Wada and panchavarna uttapa( capsicum,beetroot,masala,onion,tomato)....
The way of presenting food and accompaniment were superbbbb...
Especially Sambhar in Aladin's Diya was quite amazing.
And last but not the least mitha paan was just soft and mouth watering....

Only they have made the sambar a bit sweet, maybe bcoz it's Gujarat? And gujjus like sweeter taste?
Excellent South Indian Cuisine restaurant. They offer so many varieties of dosa, uttappam, upma and much more. Service was fast even during the peak hours and the food served was always hot and fresh. The best dish they offer in desserts is the sizzling Hot Chocolate Walnut Brownie.

Hii... This outlet of Sankalp is very good and clean. We visited here in June end and there is very good according to hygiene and other parameters set by government of India. Everything is good except parking of vehicle and there is construction is going on in front of this point so there may be major parking issues. Here every southindian dishes are avaliable and some north indian dishes are also available. Prices are high but quality of food is very good. Thank you very much...😊😊😊
Sankalp is very good restaurant for South Indian food. Different types of variety available in idli, dosa, rava, uttapam.
Beverages are also available. Sambhar is awesome. Coconut chatani, Lasun(garlic) Chatni both are awesome. All the items are at reasonable price. Place is nice. Staff behaviour is very good and service is also very good. At the end they give you paan...which is awesome in taste.
Good open space, quite the variety in the menu and very subtle taste with everything balanced in the right way. The service is also good and overall experience was worthwhile, but not better than Southak I'd say. I despised how these people don't have NFC payment and have only cash and debit card acceptances. The authentic South Indian food taste and best served with Rasam the tradition of South Indians. I ordered Special Indian Bhaji Dosa with addition of cheese and it was okay (too much mild taste). Other was Military dosa (made in Ghee) and Mysore masala dosa (typical south indian taste) but I love the taste of Sandwich Uttapan (similar to pizza and sandwich club taste). Love the Chutney and Sambhar. For extra they added additional menu of ice cream and sweets has in dessert.
It’s been years and you get the same taste there. South Indian food is at its best.
My favorite dishes are mix veg uttappa, corn & cheese dosa, waghar idli, Upma. After the meal sizzling brownie is must here one should try.
