This is by far the best place for authentic gujarati food in this city. I've been here for a dinner with my friends, only to my surprise they offer a fixed menu of gujarati cuisines. Right from the starters to the main course and appetizers, everything tastes like ghar nu jamvanu. The ambience too scores high. The food satisfies your palette in a most cosy manner. A bit overpriced but the money's worth the experience.

Then this one is such place that serves with really good Gujarati food. In no place I felt that I was eating outside food . The fulki ghee wali roti and some fresh hot puris. The shreekhand with dry fruits , the chass( buttermilk) which typically made the way you will find in a Gujarat's house. In sweetdish I loved dhudhi no halwo , it tasted almost like my mom makes. Everything was good and was enough to fill your tummy . The welcome drink in the beginning was refreshing and the chat in starter was yummy and kulfi was served in the end. The menu of this place changes everyday infact it is different for lunch and dinner on the same day. The ambiance gives you some peaceful village feels . Independence Day celebration was done over here! They have such an amazing ambience to enjoy and cherish the moments that we used to live in villages! We were welcomed with a dhol and lot of beats to dance upon! Dancing before the meal increases your hunger more. After dancing, they served us their welcome drink, which was a sharbat and was soo chilled that we felt it on our nerves, it tasted the best after dancing a lot. They charge โน475 for non AC huts and โน550 for AC. Then we were guided to some popcorn, chana chorr and dal mixed with spices, onions, tomatoes and lemon over it. Food over there had a huge menu, we were almost half full reading all that. They offer 3 varieties of sweet, 3 of farshan, 4 types of sabji, rotli, rotlo, puri, dal rice, kadhi khichdi, chaas, dahi, papad, salad, and at the end kulfi with masala dates. All these is UNLIMITED. Eat as much as you can! (Menu changes everyday) They serve superfast and your team is always accompanied by one person of their staff. Food over their is to die for. This Rotlo is located a little away from the city core and this fact adds peace you get at this place.
Full marks for ambience, obviously..!! They have got facility of ac as well as non-ac dining areas. (Non-ac huts were kept close because of the monsoon insects)
Now coming to the food, they serve fixed unlimited thali which mainly have dishes from gujarati cuisine and a few from Rajasthani cuisine as well as North Indian cuisine too. All the dishes were perfectly cooked and taste was quite balanced. I loved their cholle, gatte ki sabzi, dal batti churma, gujarati kadhi the most..!! Value for money is upto you, how much you can eat. I was full in just tasting all the dishes served.

Every sunday they have some program scheduled, we had a great time watching puppet show. So it is recommended to reach there by 7:30 at least so that you can take your time enjoying the shows along with the chats and snacks served.

This place was on my "Next Visit" list for a long time.
Finally, I decided to visit this place with my family.
To my surprise, I was told that no reservations are made on Weekends. This is due to heavy rush.
But, the operator assured me a table if I can arrive the venue by 7.30 PM.
To avoid waiting, I was at the venue sharp at 7.25 PM.
They have large parking space, hence no issues for the car parking at all.ย
We were welcomed with a "Pineapple Juice" drink, and with 2 persons playing Rajasthani folk music at the entrance.
The charges are 475/ per person, which includes GST for 5%.ย
We were asked to pay at the entrance itself, and then we can have whatever we want.
As soon as you enter, you will see the stage for Puppet Show. I am not sure about the weekdays, but on weekends happens from 7 - 10 PM, (this was told by the manager)
They have 2 types of sitting arrangements:
- One in open where hut like arrangement is done
- One in the closed hallย
I preferred to sit in open.ย
For starters, they have live counters for (These need self-service)
- Popcorns
- Chana Chor Garam
- Singhada
- Bhelpuri
- Juiceย
- A hot lemon kada (Not sure what it was, I didn't try it).
Once we were done, we took our hut (the sitting area).ย
Within few minutes, the main course was served one-by-one.

The place gives you a feeling of closer to the nature like starting from the welcome drink, then starter till dessert. It feels like you are in a village. Service and staff is great. They have the fixed menu, but believe me it's more than enough. I loved the place. I happen to visit with my office staff and we had a great time. The food was delicious especially the tomato cutlet, basundi and all the sabjis. The staff was very polite and well coordinated. The ambience is so beautiful with village huts, wall paintings. What I admired was use of biodegradable cutlery. Highly recommended.
Lets start with reaching there. Although being on the outskirts, it was worth visiting this restaurant. The waiting period was 45 minutes being the festive season. In the mean while we were being served with the desi mocktail. Popcorns, imli, guava, and what not. Yes, you heard it right....imli. They have small 'thela' where they are serving all this. Another side, there is a puppet show going on. They have options to dine in AC or NON AC. The seating is desi style lower height sofas. The food was sumptuous. Impressed with the serving of the waiters. The way they bend everytime while serving. The MENU: Chappati, Rotlo, puran poli, thepla, 4 sabzi, kadhi, daal, chawal, kachori, basundi, dhokla, salad, chaat, chaas, khichdi, chawal, kulfi.... aaaahhhhh it was simply superb. The menu keeps changing daily.

I would like to give one more star for the architecture and ambience. Name itself says it ia a very nice place with great ambience n a touch of village. Smell of village in everything. They have AC & non AC two types of "Bethak". All sitting is wooden & dishes were made from some wood bark. Glasses are also made from earthen clay ( maati na). First of all starting with welcome drink. They serve beetroot & lemon juice which was ok in taste. Then we go to the AC hall for dinner. They serve dahi chaaat samosa dhokla in starter. Different types of chatnees are also there. Papad salad pickle chaas is all basic items in kathiyawadi food. Main course is bhindi, baigan ka bhartha, suki bhaji. & hajma paratha, rotli & bajra no rotlo is also there. In sweet dish they have pineapple halwo & basoodi. Along with that khichdi kadhi dal rice completes the menu. Serving is so fast that u cant eat at that speed. In he end kulfi & masala kharek is served. Overall food & ambience is nice but considering all the factors price should be less. If u are a photogenic person then it is good place for u. Otherwise being a foody i would prefer for better food.
The food was delicious. The environment was just different. It fills like we are quite far from our usual noisy and polluted environment but somewhere in the village. Service was very good . It just gives a royal feeling.

This authentic Gujarati cuisine restaurant is located along the Vasna road - quite a way though and hence you wouldn't know about this place except for word of mouth. The decor is elegantly rustic reflecting an experience of a meal in a typical village ambience but with the professional service of an all you can eat fixed thali Gujarati restaurant. The food was good although I expected more or maybe it was an off day for the restaurant ๐. They also care for the environment is evident from the silverware which is of the disposable type. Definitely a place you've got to try in Vadodara for authentic Gujarati cuisine - which of course means 100% vegetarian food you eat with your hands. No alcohol served here - as is the case with all restaurants in Gujarat. The most elegant Gujarati thali restaurant I have been to so far in terms of ambience.
The best ambience ive seen in a gujarati restsurant. They have done a grest job creating a village like feel. They have unlimited menu at a reasonable price and big amount of varieties in food. The menu is fixed and different everyday.
They have their program of earning points on every rupees spent and you can redeem the same at a few number of milestones.
Peaceful, rich and gamthi ambeince and uncommon hospitality. If we talk about food sweets are really very tasty but i've had better main course in many gujarati restaurants than this.
Good ambience. Small tables for the variety of food. Food not bad. But can get similar or better food off much less in other Gujarati thali restaurants. Be ready to pay 200 per person just to enjoy the ambience.

The entire set up is superbly designed which makes you feel the freshness of village atmosphere.

Eating in wodden thali is so cool experience. They sarv you as like as home. Price of thali is reasonable it lilbit high but quality always matter. Parking is available. Great place for group and family.
