Very good home style food which is not with lots of oil or masalas but just right enough to enjoy as everyday home cooked food. If you visit restaurant you will be very happy to see hot fresh food like rotis, papad, chaas and other variety of gujarati food served to you. And that to unlimited. Geeta lodge is famous for thali like limited thali as well as unlimited thai.
Price of thalis are normal and one thali is enough for 1 people..

Awesome hot hot rotis we had.. The place is quite peaceful and ambience is perfect to have a good food at right place.. Tried thali here... Special gujju ka thali..🤓 costs around 150/- and they provide kids thali too.. Its amazing right.. They also advices people not to waste food. Thats a great idea ..I am damn sure you will have lipsmacking dishes at moderate price..😁

A franchise of Junagadh with great Gujarati food! Neat and Clean tables and overall a clean place. A thali place with varied menu every day with some of the items can be optionally purchased; like Mango Ras, SHrikhand, some chat etc.
Good thing about the place is that they will charge extra (over and above the price of the thali) if you waste any food or leave any food in thali. Too good concept. They will pour the food in to your plate only after asking how much you needed.
Food tatse was good. Had twice at this place when i was in Vadodara. A must try once place for all thali lovers.

Situated in one of the corporate areas of the city, this place is quite right for a tasty lunch - to get away from the daily food you have at the office.
They have a fixed meal system with menu changing daily. They serve unlimited buttermilk, which is a plus point for people looking like me, who love buttermilk in lunch.

Very simple and sober food without any extra taste. Taste was perfect as required. Every Gujarati will love such food. I like every thing especially Gujarati dal. The only thing I suggest is that staff should be quick and should respond on-time. Every Gujarati food lover should visit this place atleast once.

Had heard some decent reviews of this place from a few friends so thought of giving this a try. I was in no mood to eat anything else other than basic Gujarati food.
This place is inconspicuously hidden in the back side of the Atlantis building near Genda Circle. The easier way is to locate Subway and lead yourself in the same lane ahead. It is right next to the newly opened "The Shimla Cafe".
As the name suggests, so is the ambiance and everything about this place. It is a typical lodge with basic tables, chairs, subtle ambiance and bare minimum interiors. To me, it was doing perfect justice to the word - Lodge!
Being super hungry, I ordered for the Gujarati Thali in Pure Jain only. As the routine follows, immediately my table was covered with a large steel thali including a few steel bowls, spoon, two steel glasses (one for water and the other for buttermilk), a jug full of buttermilk, another jug full of water, a four-bowl container with salads and pickles. Before I could figure out what was going on, the Papad arrived! Had it been fine dining, I would have complained. However I had nothing to complain about - I was hungry, they were ready (way too fast!) I'd call it a great experience.
Food - Phulka roti, Bajre ka rotla and Biscuit Bhakhri. 3 vegetables - Sev Tamatar, Gobi Mutter and Rajma. There was tuvar dal, plain steamed rice, khichdi, kadhi and papad. The food tasted good, hot, homely and fresh. The winner was Biscuit Bhakhri, Phulka Roti and Gobi Mutter sabzi. Not to forget - Unlimited supply of buttermilk for the thirsty you! Random rounds of Papad as well.
Service - It was good but not great. The staff wasn't aware about certain things. Hope the management takes up staff training more seriously. No complaints though!
Cost - Rs.120/- for the Thali
Verdict - Not bad, not excellent. VFM. Plus point - there was no oil trails left by the subzis.
Go visit once! Sometimes, basic food can do wonders to your mood.
P.S. - was too hungry to take pictures.

Highly recommend this joint to all gujjus visiting vadodara.
Have been going here for lunch for 2 straight days! Had Gujrati thali on both occassions, the food feels like it's homemade. The Gujrati thali costs some 120 Rs which entitles you to unlimited servings. Food was good. They served hot rotis with ghee applied over them along with 3-4 dishes and one daal. Service was prompt and servers were fast enough to refresh your plate. Ambience is decent for a casual dining, nothing fancy. Would recommend it if you don't want to wait for some good food to be present on your plate.
Finally, Vadodara has an authentic Kathiawadi place. Have been a fan of the original branch in Junagadh and I must admit that the standards here are maintained. Highly recommended for food lovers who appreciate really good food, no frills and quality food.
Firstly what i would say is...they serve what they claim... Its truely gharnu jamvanu... You feel you are having home food only... The rotis as as good as madre at home, satisfied that they are not maida rotis. Every sunday the restaurant serves yummy undhiyu which is a must try and i am specialy in love with fruit salad of geeta lodge. The staff is also well trained. The place brings me back again and again... And must say a great value for money

Geeta Lodge is one of my favourite Gujarati Thali restaurants. Originally from Junagadh they are very old in the restaurant space. Food is tasty and not spicy which I love for a Gujarati thali. Their khatti mithi dal is my favourite of all. Please don't expect it to be a fancy restaurant but a dining hall.
