Foodstory - As their name suggest AJ’s hide out.. it is small but cute place very close to vagator beach having 2 cute indoor and outdoor sit outs with very cool and relaxing ambience. It also has a book shelf which caught my eyes. They do not have any fancy menu but whatever they have is to offer u is really good and very very pocket friendly. They served us 8 pieces of kebabs for just ₹300/-
To aur kya chahiye..??? Deepika..?? 🤪

Your body and mind feels good when you eat awesome food in a quaint ambience
And AJ's Kitchen provides more than that
A courteous staff, prime location, scrumptious food, and availability at 3am 😊. Its so good that people dance at the pubs and clubs and come here for foooood
Their tandoor items are legendary.. when the chef is named Tarzan, it has to be.😄
Try anything and you won't be disappointed. Then there is the bar which provides your regular beer to exotic cocktails (they are improving on the last one)
And a bonus to families when you get a fully furnished apartment to stay.
Yes there are many restaurants in Vagator but this place sure does hold its own
Ordered a mutton rogan josh. They delivered but with extra charges. Once we started to have the curry it was so delicious.. worth every penny. Also their south indian food is damn good. The chutney is good and the idlis are soft. overall we are repeat customers of this place.
Really amazing to find bheja fry in a restaurant in North Goa. Bheja was good so was the mutton Rogan Josh. Nice chilled out place. The juice was also fresh and unadulterated.
A small chilled out place in vagator where you can enjoy all kind of food. For us, this mostly became our breakfast place. Decent food and economical.

This place is amazing with great food served by some of the most caring people I’ve ever come across. I still dream about the Tandoori Pomfret that we were served! It was absolutely delicious.
I would also recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Prawns Manchurian.
If you’re looking for a light snack, you must try their amazing Chicken Cheese Sandwich, along with Coffee. Also, they have amazing parathas and a variety of naans and rotis, which are equally delicious.
Overall, it is Paradise for a true foodie and most importantly, very reasonably priced. Give it a go soon!
Goa is always a delight to visit and being the Indian i am, food is priority.
A friend had suggested this place and since i was located at vagator itself i thought wht not try it!.
Aj's frankly surprised me. Never did i think that i would keep coming back to this place for four days in a row (lunch and dinner included). The place isnt like a very nancy 'wine and dine' kinda Decor but more over 'let's chill and make some memories' kinda vibe.
My friends and I hace relished the food. It's pocket friendly and serves food at the wee hours too!
We had-
Tea
Coffe
Chaasss ( to die for)
Aloo Paratha
Egg Paratha
Butter chicken (highly recommended)
Chicken cheese sandwich
Chicken biryani
Hara bhara Kabab (recommended)
Masala maggi
Chicken tikka masala (recommended)
Tandoori pomphret (highly recommended)
Fish fry (the fish was some goan catch that the owner suggested)
Prawns Manchurian
Tadka dal
Jeera rice
Butter naan, garlic cheese naan and butter rotis.
(These items were ordered by us over a span of four days)
If you guys are looking gor budget friendly and clean and hygienic food and if you are in and around vagator. You should try this place.
Greetings! Trips to Goa are hectic, absorbing and exhausting. While the clubs and the beaches are the main attractions; food becomes the sideline. In such situations, a bad food experience spoils the mood but the good ones make your day. Luckily, on my recent trip with friends, we found AJ's Kitchen literally downstairs of our hotel and we were sorted.
Location: AJ's Kitchen is on the calm Vagator Beach Road. The shore is a mere 5 minute walk from this place. Maps will locate the place accurately, so rest assured. The only downside is that coming here will work only if you are staying in or visiting Vagator. From places like Baga or Calangute, the 20-30 minute bike ride is not worth.
Ambiance: AJ's Kitchen is kind of a 'chill' place. Open air tables, rustic furniture, dim yellow lights in the evenings and some warm music in the background will welcome you. During the day however, it gets a little boring post breakfast hours. Hygiene is average and so is the cutlery. In short, weekend evenings are the best times for AJ's.
Food: Being an egetarian, it's hard to rate food in Goa as options get finite real quick. But this isn't the cliche Goan Joint, so standard rules apply. Starting with the breakfast, good quality with a decent spread. Eggs in any form will do you good. My pick - Egg Bhurji. For pure veggies, Poha and Puri Bhaji are decent options. Shakes and Juices are worth if you need to freshen up. South Indian options were not available. Tea is below par. Coming to lunch/dinner, both North Indian and Chinese options are available and we tried both. Starters like Veg. Crispy and Paneer Tikka were about average, slightly on the oilier side. For mains, Egg Fried Rice was awesome. Schezwan Rice and Noodles were good once and avoidable the next day. Don't know why, but our guess was that the main chef must have taken a day off. In the North Indian department, we tried Kadhai Paneer with Butter Rotis. The Paneer was soft and fresh but the gravy was a bit too overpowering for my liking. Rotis were perfect with a healthy dash of butter. The Egg Biryani was flavourful but a little hard on your stomach due to the heavy spices. In short, good food will be served when you stick to the basics provided the chef isn't enjoying the nearby beach.
Service: Goa is all about the service and AJ's tries to live up to it. Usually, the more a place is 'chill' the less service you get. This is kind of true here as well, but the staff is always ready to hear you out. Orders take the extra 5-10 minutes but the place is chill so you don't complain. Serving is minimal so we need to help ourselves there. The manager has an eye on the proceedings and a raised hand will sort your issue if any. In short, happy with the service but improvements are always appreciated.
Cost: Now this place is budget friendly. We were 5 of us and breakfast cost us 700-800 while meals cost us 1000-1200 bucks. Excluding any drinks, obviously. Decent food with affordable rates, what more do you need?
Recommendations: Egg Bhurji, Banana Shake, Egg Fried Rice, Veg. Manchurian and Indian breads like Roti and Naan.
Overall: A decent place in Vagator. Eat well without burning a hole in your pocket. Worth a try when nearby.

Delicious food with a vibrant ambience, they serve food at 3 am!! That too without getting annoyed. Indian, Chinese, tandoori, cakes etc etc is served, you name it and they have it. Superb service and extremely pocket friendly. A must visit place in Vagator.
Good food, nice ambience, quick service and reasonable prices. Had breakfast as well as dinner at this place and was delighted both times. Will visit this place whenever I visit Vagator.

Located near Vagator beach, it's definitely the best place to eat around Vaagtor.
Tried the chicken 65 & prawns biryani as I was recommended and I wasn't disappointed a bit
Superb biryani and starters!
6/5 recommended for everyone!! Must visit!!
Wonderful warm service (from older uncle) and amazing food, nice and quiet off the main streets. Chicken Tikka Masala, pomme frit and chicken sikh kebab, next level good.
Pocket friendly restaurant. Comfortable seating. Both Chinese and North Indian dishes taste good. It's very close to vagator junction. Only drawback I'd say that it's quite open air so take care of flies and dust. Also plates used to serve can be a bit more cleaner
Good food and ambiance. Great service
Amazing place...food is just awesome
Food was so good finger licking and friendly staff. Special starters are so delicious 😍😍
