Amazing place. Not the most stylish looking cafe but the food is out of this world. We ate there every day for three days and it was some of the very best food we ate on our whole journey. Wholesome food prepared with care - couldn’t recommend it enough.

We luckily discovered Jyoti cafe early in our Varanasi stay and ended up having breakfast and dinner there every day. Santos was a great host and explained lots of things about the town for us as well as making the best drinks and curries we had in our whole trip to India. I can recommend the Aubergine / eggplant curry, and if you can, just let him make a surprise for you, it will be the best meal ever!

Best place in town (& an easy walk from The Marigold Guesthouse) -- breakfast, lunch, dinner! And Santosh is as amazing a cook as he is a human being.

Great tasting home cooked food , the place is a bit hard to find and is located in the tourist district of the city.
Would recommend visiting the place once.

Amazing food. Highly customisable to one's taste. The owner himself cooks, serves and interacts with the guests. Ask him for something that's not on the menu and he prepares it for you with a smile. All in all, it is an awesome place to kill time and enjoy homely food.

Jyoti Cafe is run by one of the most hardworking and sweet men of Varanasi, the variety of food Santos cooks is super delicious and mouth watering, have been here everyday since I arrived for a meal and chat!

Really good Indian food, had the paneer butter masala, malai kofta and eggplant+potato curry and they had very good taste, also freshly made. The plain rice and nan were ok. The portions were a bit small but the price was really cheap, so really worth place to eat Indian food.

Beautiful little cafe in the winding streets of Varanasi! We found this gem on our second day in the city and came at least once a day after that. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the cafe looks out onto a vibrant section of backstreet that is brilliant for people watching.

My partner and I were in Varanasi for 4 days and we ate at Jyoti Cafe Everyday! We loved the food and the host always took care of us. We felt very safe and comfortable in this restaurant and we love the little fluffy dog there too! Definitely recommend to any traveler who wants a good meal and a comfortable place to chill out. A lot of good food options on the menu as well. We will return for a feed as soon as we are back in Varanasi ☺️🙏🏽

The single best eatery in Varanasi. Look no further. Santos is an incredible cook and so welcoming. You can sit and people watch as passers by go about their business whilst enjoying a tea and cooked business. It is divine. You will miss out not visiting here whilst in Varanasi.

Lovely cafe run by a very kind hard working man. I ate breakfast here twice on my visit in varanasi. I was looking for an American style breakfast to remind me of home and the food and atmosphere made me feel very welcomed. Jyoti also has a diverse mix of food so whether local or from abroad, you are likely to feel comfortable here.

Next-level delicious food in this small, easily accessible cafe run by a husband and wife for the past 20 years. They made the food fresh, practically in front of me, and it came out piping hot, with lots of butter (for toast and butter naan). The prices are about half of what I paid at other restaurants in the area. I ended up eating a number of meals here in a row because it was so delicious and the owners were so friendly. I especially liked the curries and lassis. Two thumbs enthusiastically up.

I came to Varanasi and was looking for a good and clean place to live. And found it! Jyoti Cafe is the best place in Varanasi. They have a little guest house, where you can feel at home. The owner is a very friendly and kind man, who always helped me. The food is very fresh and tasty.

Probably the best coffee in India, served with cardamom (by request 😋) Jyoti serves wide range of local and international cuisine, including for Chinese and Israeli menu. All of the above and very reasonable price where great taste and good smell comes in extra 😀. all freshly prepared using local supply. Spent 2 days in Varanasi and came twice. enough said 💪💎
