If you go here do try their chocolate brownie dessert, it is absolutely amazing. Also, I so love visiting them because of lovely staff and food. A perfect place for celebrations, indeed. ❤️
Although it's a bit expensive place for students to visit but it's worth visiting with your family . I know the rates are high and quantity is not as per the rates but their certain dishes are worth enjoying . So due to that I've rated this place 5 stars .
This is wonderful restaurant... u will get delicious North Indian , Chinese, South Indian, continental food here . taste wise typically North Indian taste...best for non vegetarian as well as vegetarian...after food u will have authentic digestive churan....which make it more different...I love this ...

I loved everything. It was my lady love's birthday n it helped me make her day. Simply amazing. I would suggest this place to every single person who loves exploring flavors.
If you want to have a great dine in with family or friends , just land in here...Soothing ambience with nice wall paintings and the one of the best Indian food you can experience in city as the recipe of food here are curated by one and only chef Sanjeev kapoor...Do try their signature Shaam Savera , it's amazing..Their trio broccoli was also very good.
If you ask me about the taste of food it's simply delicious here....The prices are on higher end when compared to quantity they serve...The ambience is subtle ye beautiful...Loved the painting of different areas of varanasi like B.H.U. , ghats etc on walls..Seating area is spacious and good for group lunch or dinner...I tried their Trio-broccoli that had 6 pieces of broccoli marinated with sarson, kesar and malai respectively and tasted really nice...Also tried their signature Shaam savera which was equally good , had cottage cheese stuffed spinach kofta balls in a creamy tomato gravy that tasted excellent with tandoori breads..

The Yellow Chilli is Signature Restaurant often claimed to be owned by Masferchef Sanjeev Kapoor. Though I beg to differ here. It is just now operating as Franchise Model.
So in Mahmoorganj, Varanasi also they are operating as Franchise itself. Food is Quite Good, Valet Parking is also Available.
This is quite good considering how crowded the Mahmoorganj Trisection becomes during Peak Hours of Traffic.
My Rating and Review will end on a Fabulous and decent 5.0/5. Until next restaurant and Eating Place it is Bye Bye from a true and Hardcore Foodie..
Absolutely delectable food is served at this place, which is owned by Sanjeev Kapoor himself. The quality of food is commensurate with its brand value. My family and I had Chapati, Do Pyaaz ki Bhindi, Dhaba Dal, Tango Orange, Pista Rose Phirni, Roasted and Fried Masala Papad. There's a variety of dishes available to choose from. I'm positively ordering again.
The Yellow chilli is one of the finest and luxury dinning in Varanasi. They serves the delicious dishes which are worth a try.
I started with Peru Payal, Icy spicy and Mango ginger fizz which was an amazing fusions.
Coming to appetizers I had Khubani ke Dahi ke kebabs, Parmesan pesto paneer skewers, Egg Farcha (totally new and delightful), Achari mushroom and Chicken corn kebabs all of them were totally scrumptious. 😋
For main course I had Paneer Lababdar, Tadka Dal, Kadhai Prawn (my favorite 🦐), biryani (a must try).
Lastly, for dessert gulab jamun (very soft and mouth watering 🤤), jalebi with Rabri, Phirni and Mishti doi
Now for the Ambience I must say it's a good place to dine with family and friends. The interior is hand painted with all the famous figures of Varanasi with dim lighted sitting arrangements which creates a cozy atmosphere.
The service no doubt was polite, fast and warm.
Overall, The Yellow Chilli serves some of the most amazing chef signature-Sanjeev Kapoor dishes which are worth a try. Recommended! 💯
I think that without the discussion of this restaurant . The review of restaurants in varanasi can't be over. New flavour are available in this restaurant in the form of dishes. and quality of food is good
Type- good
price- not to much pocket frienfly
This was the best restaurant in Varanasi on all accounts: food, ambience and price. Although the price was on the higher side, I thought the ambience, the spread on offer and the neat array of thought out dishes were worth it. I loved the Shaam Savera preparation and their breads. They could have done a better job with the Rice dishes, which we thought were slightly bland. But hey, for sheer innovation on some of the really old North Indian dishes and nailing it completely, a 5 star rating from me
The Yellow Chilli by Sanjeev Kapoor is a fine dining experience that I definitely recommend for locals. It elevates popular North Indian dishes with exquisite quality and service. The cheese chicken tikka and Moongavala chicken are must have dishes. Sanjeev Kapoor's classic "Sham Savera" was also delicious. I would also suggest their "Peru Pyala" mocktail.
Food taste was amazing i have ordered samosa chat for some small time cravings quantity was huge sufficient for two ppl. But quite spicy and too much matar was there. Dahi was missing. Overall surely wanna a try some other items of this place.
This restaurent is a food paradise for vegetarians and non-vegetarians too, food is as good as their brand value.
I actually went their for Punjabi food festival- Rangla Punjab, theme is basically for the season of harvest (baisakhi) and enjoyed each and every items from their special menu for this food festival.
We started this Tasting session with welcome drink-
Malai lassi- this malai and rabdi maar ke lassi was not overpowered with sweetness, hint of saffron in this drink just made it perfect.
Salad-
Aaloo dhaniyawala- This came as a surprise, sweetness of mayonnaise and tangy coriander salsa combination was magnificent, chalo aloo me kuch naya to mila 😅
Starters-
•Fish amritsari- Batter fried fish fillet flavoured with ajwain in a amritsari style was delightful.
•kathal ki shami- kathal is known as 'veg waalo ka mutton' and i just loved how well it was presented in a kebab style(patty) and tasted very good.
Main course-
•Keema kaleji- It tasted good but kaleji was bit hard.
•Sarso ka saag aur makke ki roti- Yeh punjabi food festival iske bina adhura tha. Flavorful saag and garma garam makke ki roti was perfect.
•Bhindi naintara- Do try this if you're vegetarian, sesame seed flavoured bhindi was just like its name.
Desserts-
Malai kulfi falooda- Kulfi was just mind blowing but what made it a must have dessert was falooda (thin vermicelli).

My first ever experienced at the Yellow chilli has been outstanding. The ambiance was also good. I just loved the place. the food was also so good i just love their service and everything and also the yellow chilli organised a punjabi food festival where, you can taste the real ounjabi food if you are a punjabi food lover.
Hi Friends April month started and Punjabis Harvest Festival vaishakhi is also going to be started.Keeping this festival in mind, our only restaurant, The Yellow Chilli, has started the Rangla Punjab Food Festival..
they are serving the best Punjabi food here. let's check it out..
On the 5th of April "The Varanasi Food Association" had been invited to Yellow Chilli, located in Mehmoorganj.
Yellow Chilli is an outlet opened up by Sanjeev Kapoor. The spices used in the making of the food are specialised by Sanjeev Kapoor himself and even the ingredients used in making each of the platters are recommended by him only.
The interior decor is very posh and colourful. As they are the only restaurant to organise a Punjabi Food Fest the decor is customised as if you're entering Punjab with Scarecrows and everything which will make you feel like you've stepped into Punjab.
A must try amoung all the dishes are Tamatar Dhaniya Shorba, Aloo Dhaniyawala, Tandoori Kukkad, Kathal Ki Shami, Keema Kaleji, Kadhi Pakodi, Lachcha and Missi roti.
Out of which my favourites are Aloo Dhaniyawala and Tandoori Kukkad. These are tasty plus healthy dishes, which you'll never regret having they are the worthy of their price.
This place is purely delightful every single item that I had here was a treat to my senses. The fish and the kadhai pakodi (kadhi) i eat was the best in town, Either you're vegetarian or non-vegetarian this place is not going to disappoint you. The ambience is pretty good and peaceful. I particularly loved the service of though.
So there is a food festival going on in the yellow chilli which serves the best punjabi food in Varanasi. All the punjabi food lovers this is something especially for you guys. The food is just amazing and the presentation of the food is just a treat to eyes loved each and everything. If you're there don't forget to try kadhi and bhindhi they were my favourite. So do visit this festival called raglla Punjab.
The place is the branch of chain restaurants which serve the delicacies fusioned & twisted by renowned Chef Mr.Sanjeev Kapoor. The interiors give a glimpse of the Punjab along with wall decors embibing Varanasi. The staffs were well dressed with great behavior.
The fooding is beyond words. The tag name of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor carries with the food. It's taste and presentation is commendable. It was great to visit the place and looking forward to visit this place again.
Being one of the chains of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor's Restaurants, the food was excellent with excellent Punjabi feels and music, the hospitality and staff behaviour is very comforting. Had a really great experience. The Makke di Roti with Sarso da Saag and Falooda are a must try! Typical North Indian food feels it gives 😍👍
TL; DR Version - Good food, good ambience and decent service. Some of the staff could do with a little more knowledge about the dishes and that will probably come with experience. The location while close to Assi Ghat is still slightly inconvenient. The Chanajor Garam tikki is recommended.

Starters:
🍴 Chanajor Garam Tikki – Aloo cheese tikki with a slightly different take, they are coated with a layer of black gram (chanajor garam/chapta chana). This was a really good starter and is a recommended option.
🍴Tangra Chilli Paneer – Chili Paneer inspired from the lanes of Tangra, the birthplace of Indo-Chinese cuisine in Kolkata. While the Paneer was succulent and soft, somehow the overall dish didn’t WOW me. There were no issues in the dish though so feel free to order if someone is a Chilli Paneer fan.
Main Course:
🍴Adraki Dhaniya Paneer – I’d discovered this dish recently and now it’s become my current favorite and must order whenever I’m ordering out. Made from fresh Cottage Cheese, this typically has a yellow creamy gravy with a good but not overpowering flavour of ginger. While the dish here had everything perfect from a regular gravy Paneer dish, the only thing was that I couldn’t taste the ginger flavour infused in the gravy. It would only come when I had a bite of the finely chopped/shredded pieces of ginger. But apart from that it’s a great alternate to the over-ordered Kadhai Paneer/Paneer Tikka.
🍴 Dal Makhani – Tasty and with a creamy texture. Just like how good Dal Makhani should be. Definitely order!
🍴The roti’s were also great and fresh (both the roomali and the regular tandoori).
> 👨💼Service – 3.5 |
Given that we were the only folks in the restaurant, it ensured that we got the full focus of the staff. Some of the staff members were fairly new or seemed scared. The only reason why I gave this place a 3 is because one of them served the Chanajor Tikki’s to my non-veg friends and this was despite me asking him if it was the veg starter. It clearly didn’t look like the Galouti kebabs that they had ordered but he told me it was non-veg. Given the lack of taste-buds in my friends’ palate, they didn’t even realise what they were having was Aloo and Cheese versus minced lamb and finished all the pieces. However, when I ask the senior staff member about this mistake, he promptly ordered another round of the same Tikkis and served them personally to us. Apart from that there were no issues, in fact till our starters came, they promptly replenished our Papads and mini noodle-like Papaya salad.
> 💡🎶 Ambience – 4|
Given we were catching up on forgotten stories and planning for our next get-together, I didn’t really focus on the ambience a lot. The seating was comfortable, the lights were gentle and dim. And I faintly remember seeing the wall painted with some of the famous icons of Varanasi.
I tried sham savera from them it was super tasty.. A different dish with spinach ball with panner... Tangy tomato gravy.. It was super yum... With the finest quality of food and taste
Chicken tikka salad is awesome and healthy. I order it daily as my lunch. And its the only restaurant where I can find this item. I loved it a lot
We had veg biriyani..the quantity was good n taste was awesome..but they only have Indian cuisine..no Chinese or continental..n it was bit costly..but no doubt taste was awesome
Few Days Ago,We were here to meet Sanjeev Kapoor. It was a stunning experience to meet and talk with the Foodstar himself!
The Yellow Chilli is a chain of the Restaurants owned by Mr.Sanjeev Kapoor and Finally, they have started in Varanasi too.
Food~
We were treated with the meal curated by Mr Sanjeev Kapoor at that day.
Specifically We had:
Mutton Sagwala,
Goan Fish Curry,
Kadai Prawns,
Corn Chatkara Palak,
Tadka Dal,
Subz Adraki and
Methi Malai kofta in that super appetizing Buffet.
Peru ka Pyala was my Favourite in the Drinks and Their Starters were just delectable.
Misti Doi was the most Yumm in the Desserts!
Ambience~
They have a very chilled out Ambience and Interiors.Everything about them is just on the point.
You all should Go and must Check out the dishes of our Favourite Chef!

The best dum-gosht biryani has finally arrived in Varanasi. Apart from the food being amazing, Yellow Chilli offers an experience which many leading restaurants in the town still lack.
I'm strictly a non-vegetarian, but the green mushroom and the garlic naan turned out to be pleasing show stoppers.
The interiors could have been better. The murals on the wall are a sore to the eyes. But then it does not affect the taste buds in any way. Although I would suggest the restaurant to reconsider their design. It surely affects the buying behaviour.
The desserts are a bit expensive. But, if you like to taste luxury despite the price tag on it, do try the ras malai.
The real food heaven.
Food: No doubt! the food is amazing, you will love each and every dish from the menu. We started with some drinks Peru Payal, Icy spicy and Mango ginger fizz which was amazing with some new fusions. For appetizers we had Khubani k Dahi k kebabs was delightful and mild, Parmesan pesto paneer skewers were such a perfect blend, Egg Farcha was something on the table and highly impressive, Achari mushroom was spicy and which such flavoursome taste and Chicken corn kebabs were amazing. For main course Paneer Lababdar is a must try and you will love it, Tadka dal was the desi and real way to have it. My favourite was Kadhai Prawn, it was so perfectly flavoured and delicious. And they serve the best biryani in town, a must try. For dessert gulab jamun is always a win win and jalebi with rabri was fabulous.
Ambience: It's a great place to dine with family and relatives. The interior is hand painted with all the famous figures of Varanasi.
Service: The service is full of warmth and grace.
The yellow chilli is a very nice place to have some awesome mouth watering delicious food. I tried some yummy dishes like Achari Mushroom, Egg Farcha, Paneer Lababdar, Dahi Vada shots etc and some desserts. My personal favourites include the Peru Pyala, Jalebi Rabdi, and Achari Mushrooms.

The Yellow Chilly, the name is as Unique as the taste.
It gives us the opportunity to taste some amazing recipe my the Master chef Mr. SANJEEV KAPOOR.

Tons of gratitude to Chef Sanjeev Kapoor as of now we have another great place to dine in. I am just so elated to have one of the finest biryanis... aka Murgh Awadhi Biryani and Dum Gosht Biryani has an unmatched level of excellence in terms of taste, quantity and quality. A must have mocktail is PERU PYALA. The staff is courteous and will serve you to the extent of gastronomical delight. One can also have those quintessential smoky flavoured TANDOORI MURGA. Love it and will love to visit it again and again. Keep up the good work.
Really very great and Awesome experience With #The_Yellow_Chilli Restaurant.
All the Dishes are so #Tasty and Looking so Delicious also.
& The service also too good.
Overall my experience with "The Yellow Chilli" is really impressive.
I'll come soon......👍👍
Exceptional service! Yellow chilli is great for outings with family and friends.
Food: the food menu is not too elaborate, thus keeping things simple. Ordered a sweet corn soup, a starters platter, papaya and peanut salad, kumbh hara pyaaz, Urlai roast masala and breads.
I would definitely recommend the starters platter and the papaya salad for anyone looking for a quick bite. Delicious food overall!
P.S. Those looking for Chinese maybe disappointed.
They are new in Varanasi but this name can't be unfamiliar for someone who is a admirer of exotic food and has a soft corner for fine dining restaurants.
Below are the positive remarks of Yellow Chilli Varanasi :-
1. The staff is very polite and they may make you feel very contented with their hospitality.
2. The lighting suits the background, walls are painted with the prime tourist spots of Varanasi, the instrumental music will definitely make your mood light.
3. We went there for dinner and ordered butter chicken, shaam savera, lalla daal, tandoori rotis. Butter chicken tasted exactly the way I expected, Shaam savera had stuffings inside palak balls and it was something very different, delicate and tingled my taste buds. Lalla daal tasted a lot like daal makhni but they didn't put rajmas in the daal and had their own way preparing it.
4. They served pappad and paan as complimentary which was again a very sweet gesture on their behalf.
5. The way they presented everything was outstanding.
There are no major negative aspects as such except the delay in service and the chappati was bit overpriced and it was very crisp and crunch rather than being soft and tender.
All in all a must visit place for someone who is looking for a fine dining experience at a reasonable price with good interior aesthetics and top class hospitality. 😊👌

Next time when I back Banaras I really meet you in your restaurant.
The guy who served food is very good.
but we're still eating and we ordered garlic Naan at 11:05pm
Then the server told me the last order is 10:45pm.
This called Sanjeev kapoor restaurant..
Yellow chilli that was bad experience for me
Decent place to hang out for a full fledged dinner with friends and family. A franchise of the original Sanjiv Kapoor’s restaurant chain. Certainly doesn’t needs to be reviewed but carrying along the name tag is always not enough. Ambience was good although the place is a bit congested.. food was fine with specialities like Shaam savera, urlai roast masala, chanajor garam tikki (bestest part), etc. Just a suggestion that the restaurant needs to work more on the non veg dishes..
Varanasi yellow chilli wow.nice ambience. Lovely people, delicious recipes by master chef sanjeev kapoor.my overall experience wow maja aa gaya
.
A wonderful quaint restaurant. Keeps up Chef Kapoor's standards. Lalla Musa Dal and Murg Angar begdi along with lachcha paratha were very good. Gulab e gulkand was yummy. Will visit again when I am in Varanasi.
The yellow chilli varanasi is best indian resaurant in the city. this is my second visit.warm greet friendly staff delicious food superb service.overall wow experience .thank you team sanjeev kapoor.

Dishes Must try at The Yellow Chilli Restaurant -
1- Welcome Jaljeera Shot -Summers are here and @theyellowchillirestaurant serve Jaljeera Shot with Masala Papad. It is very refreshing and it rejuvenates you with instant bout of Energy
2-Chilli Angare - When waiter brings order and you ask in Sholay style kya laye ho dholiya and he says Chicken Angaare laya hoon sahab
It is super awesome in taste, texture, perfect taste of chicken perfectly marinated in spices and served
3- Peru Pyala - it's a Mocktail a refreshing guava drink straight out of @sanjeevkapoor Menu. It has an amazing taste perfect combination of Ginge Ale, Guava Juice, Tabasco , perfect balance of Chilli slices
4- Ulte Tawe ke galouti - Ulta tawa' literally means inverted griddle, so the paratha is made on the inverted griddle to give it a slight curve. This is a paratha that is savored with Galouti Kebab which is a tender and spicy veg as well as non-veg kebabs. .
5- Shaam Savera - Sham savera is signature reciepe of Chef @sanjeevkapoor it is Spinach and cottage Cheese Koftas which is rich in tomato gravy.
Cottage cheese which is wraped with spinach Roundels give amazing taste and it also gives pleasant to your eyes.
6-Murg Biryani /Chicken Biryani – The epitome of an one-pot meal made with aromatic basmati rice, tender chicken, spices and herbs that is cooked over low heat for the most delectable flavors of Marinated Chicken Tender ,Caramelized Onions
7-Palak corn is now becoming increasingly popular in restaurant menus and provides a welcome break from Palak Paneer, the most popular Restaurant dish centered on Spinach.
Palak Corn or Spinach Corn goes very well with all Indian Breads like Phulka, Chapati or Naan. It can also be served along with Rice or Pulao.
8-Phirni / Rice Pudding , you can call it as "Kheer" It is more of a “north Indian” dessert, flavored with lots of saffron, cardamom and rose and adorned with a lot of nuts and often some dry fruits too.
Traditionally in India, Phirni is served chilled in clay cups.
After two times saying no to my friend for this place, 3rd time we went as he forced us. I did not know how it would be so I was least interested in visiting this place.
As usual, we ordered both the cuisines, veg and non veg. Staffs were friendly. The waiter who was serving us suggested Mutton chap in non veg starter. It was tasty and we'll cooked.
Rest we ordered veg in main course. Everything was good.
The restaurant serves amazing food. They had various food including Dalla mussa dal, and literally every bite has the taste of butter in it. It is a must try dish from the restaurant.
Place seems delicate and environment is peaceful.
Service is good. A good place to visit.
Good taste and fantastic service
Had recently been to the yellow chilli for my friends b'day.. Believe me the place will never disappoint you... The ambience, the food, people all a perfect 10!
Server suggested one of the best dishes like "Lalla musa dal" "tariwaala chicken" and many more (they serve Indian cuisine) . At first, i was amazed with the names of the dishes and later the taste impressed us.
The veg dishes were also just perfect.
I had "Gulab e Gulkand” and I would recommend it to be tried by everyone. Best desert I have ever tried. Mind blowing.
Icing on the cake were the people.. Hospitality at its best. Our server Manoj had us feel extremely comfortable and warm.
Would definitely be visiting again
Staff is good.. Ambience is decent.. Food is ok.. bit on sweeter side.. The Peru milkshake is very good.. Starters are bit expensive... We tried palak cheese.. taste ws okk... Can try once.. Sanjeev Kapoor wali feeling nahii ayi...

This place offers food that has been shortlisted from every corner of India .. the flavours are really nice and subtle ..the most important thing is that one will not feel the oil after finishing the meal . Everything is perfectly balanced . The price is bit on the higher side but the taste will not disappoint you . If you are someone who believes in quality rather than quantity then this place is a must visit . Sanjeev Kapoor name is enough to attract the foodies here .. he has given a different fusion touch to our authentic foods of India . The waiters are very nice and their hospitality is really commendable . I will definitely refer this place to everyone

Great to find a place of this decor in Varanasi. But you end up paying a premium just for the ambience. Food is tasty but not something that you will find only in this restaurant in Varanasi. There are other places serving tasty food. But the ambience, hospitality and extravagant choice in menu is unmatchable.
Overall a good experience.

I just loved the place. the food was also so good i just love their service and everything and also the yellow chilli organised a punjabi food festival where, you can taste the real ounjabi food if you are a punjabi food lover.

Every single item that I had here was a treat to my senses. The biryani is the best in town. Either it's veg or non-vegetarian this place never disappoints.
The ambience is good and peaceful.
I particularly loved the service of the staff. They took great care of us, but were never too nosy.
Ideal for lunch/dinner with friends or family. Is a tad bit expensive, but you can have a full meal, and avoid the dessert to avoid burning a hole in your pocket.
