One of the best south indian cafe in varanasi ...staff members are very cooperative ...quality and quantity of food is upto the mark ..planning to go again soon
Best South Indian restaurant. It the restaurant which is responsible to bring south Indian delicacies in Varanasi. Highly recommend having Masala Dosa and Potato chop here that's my favourite 😉
One of the oldest cafe’s in Varanasi. When Cafe was not a famous word, the Ayyar’s came into picture. Originally founded and started by South Indian. It’s origin is older than 1953(date mentioned) .
Best known for South Indian foods and filter coffee. Friendly staff and owners. The quality of food needs an upgrade & it lacks a little freshness. Cost is still not as high as other South Indian joints but be sure to spend around 200 for 2 person.
Sharing some pictures, I have liked the place as it still gives you an old feel. In the midst of such crowded place you find this calm place.
If you are roaming around Dashashwamedh Ghat and feeling hungry then you must visit this place. While traveling everyone have this concern that the food we eat should be hygienic and tasty and this place ensures this thing. Price is also reasonable. But the best part about this restaurant is their hospitality. Uncle (the owner) is a very genuine person. After traveling more than 1 thousand km from my home to Varanasi, I felt like home here.
Food is awesome Specially if you are a north Indian food. It's pocket friendly too.
Service and people are too good and friendly.
Must try!!
96 years old shop, very tasty and delicious south indian food. Must place cafe if you are in banaras varanasi, raman katra. Mr ayyar who is running shop is 3rd generation.
I really adore this restaurant! If you are a foodie person, just go straight inside the restaurant. The menu is totally veg and very delicious. They even have some dishes other than the South indian one's. I tried pav bhaji and it was really very delicious. I m a big fan of the restaurant!
Authentic south Indian dishes are served here. The dosae and uttapam here are worth a try. The filter coffee is really good too. I really wish they update the menu and start service parothas and chicken as well.

Yumm food . Best filter coffee and especially mysore dosa
Never tasted home food so accurately tasting like home food. Very reasonably priced , place is a minimal, so you will appreciate the place for food alone.
Rustic Experience. In the mid of the chaos of Godowlia, this place is a hidden gem🌞✨💯💯
All the dishes here are so yummy 😋
I recommended this place, good for south indian food. Good serve and friendly talking
Simply best South Indian food in the city
A small cafe with decent service at just a striking distance from Godowlia Chourah. Soth indian and chinese dishes are available. It's a 10m in to a building on the right from Godowlia chowk
