Zeon knows how to cook and serve good food. Prompt service with a smile. Worth repeat visits.
We are frequent visitors to Goa and we have been in the catering and hospitality industry in UK for over 10 years. Zeon's is a very pleasant family run restaurant set between Varca town and the beach. Afron and Jovita are consummate professionals in every aspect of the way they run and manage Zeon's. There is a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced and the food is always prepared and served to a high standard by the well presented and courteous staff. The food is always delicious, we have never had a bad meal at Zeon's. At Christmas there are always beautiful decorations put up in Zeon's by Jovita and her family. Afron and Jovita's two children are very much a part of Zeon's and regularly join us, after dinner, at our request for a game of cards etc. They are polite and well mannered and an absolute credit to their parents. Whatever your reason for visiting Zeon's we can highly recommend this wonderful little resraurant.
They made our day! Awesome food, great taste and good friendly environment. All non veg starters and main course was awesome. Prawn fried rice was out of the world.
Veg dishes had a little sweetish taste and they need to be told while ordering.
We went back again today and just ordered food for delivery.
Prices are also very reasonable.
This is family owned business and both Husband and wife are great couple. Some people are commenting on their behavior but remember it's a different culture here and we cannot expect 5 star service. Treat them like a friend and they will reciprocate likewise.
wow...we had last night...then come cagain ...gr8 place...1 of staff mr.sidram(sid)..excellent guy..he knows very well how to handle..the best SERVER in goa..keep up...will surely come again to u...
The food here is really awesome, at anytime of the year. To me it's the best place in Varca.
The goan food and all the varieties of squid dishes, are a must try.
The owner is courteous and the food is excellent especially butter chicken, chicken tikka, tandoori chicken and the rotis are really soft.Plus all the dishes are reasonably priced.
During my stay in South Goa I ordered lunch and dinners many times from Zeon’s and not even once I was disappointed with taste and quality except for roti...naans are better then tandoori roti.
I had Chicken tikka, butter chicken, chilly chicken, Manchurian veg and chicken.
Fried rice veg and chicken( except the chicken was too dry)...don’t order if you cannot stand dry chicken.
They will make food to your taste , if you request for it.
Best place to order food..if you are staying around Varca.

Nice cozy family run restaurant tucked into the by lanes of South Goa before the zuri white sands resort.
Outdoor seating capacity of around 30 people.
No music playing but in forms of entertainment you get a TV to watch any type of live matches.
Serving Staff of around 3 people including owners.
1) Mushroom chilly fry : Outstanding mushroom dish is all I can say. The batter used in this was perfect and quantity used was precise. Tasty dish worth trying.
2) Kingfish Curry : Lovely cooked kingfish. You get 2 pieces of fish in this dish. Aromatic curry with a strong tomato base and a hit of chillies and spices to it. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. As they say when in Goa do what the goans do.
3) Veg Vindaloo curry : Similar curry as to that of the fish. The curry seemed to have been ready. Only the veggies or fish needed to be added to it. If you are a veggie lover and want to dry something different do try this out.
Along with the curry you need to have plain rice. Do keep in mind the rice quantities are huge so be careful of how many you order.
Some people might find the curry spicy for which they also serve all types of ice cream here including magnum which is a life saver.
Service is slow and be ready for a 45 minute wait. To while your time have a beer and enjoy the company of your friends and family .
When you order the fish or prawns keep in mind to ask them the prices for the same as they vary from day to day. The kingfish prawns costed me RS 450 while I was going to order some prawns in butter garlic sauce and after asking him the price he told me RS 850.
Overall I enjoyed the food and had a good experience for my first meal in goa. Better than your resorts and more pocket friendly as well.
We stumbled upon Zeon’s, a family run restaurant and bar, while strolling around in the village of Varca. Initially hesitant to walk in as we would be the only ones doing so, we decided to try our luck. Already let down by an expensive meal at one of the most critically acclaimed eateries called Fisherman’s Wharf in Cavelossim, we knew that this wouldn’t hurt much. Moreover, I was yearning to have a mean vindaloo just like the Goans would eat it.
After the initial Chicken Chilly fry, prawn wafers (a staple my husband can’t do without when he’s here), we ordered a Pork Vindaloo with Steamed rice. They had cut the pork into tiny cubes and dunked them in a watery gravy. While I couldn’t care much about the pork, I got hooked on to the gravy the moment I put some into my mouth. The fiery spices were countered by a delicate sweetness that I’m sure was attained with kokum. I’m not too fond of spicy curries but this I loved. It was very tasty. I knew I couldn’t stop at one visit.
So, we were back the next day. The staff greeted us with a warm smile and even as we sat down the prawn wafers were ordered. For appetisers, this time we chose a pork Ambsol. Chunks of pork were tossed with onions and a generous dose of kokum that lent the tartness to the dish. While it tasted decent and a bit like the Bengali ‘Ombol’ I wanted the mains to arrive. First, we went for steamed rice and chicken xacuti. The xacuti was fantastic. The heat was just right and the coconut did not overpower the other condiments.
The child wanted his grilled chicken so we asked for a steak, that arrived with steamed veggies, barbeque sauce and a fried egg. Here I must mention that the Goans do not know how to grill their chicken breasts just right. We found cutting into one at Fisherman’s Wharf tough. Even here, the meat was stiff, stringy and obviously overcooked.
We did not want the meal to end on a bad note so the last order was placed for a Chicken Cafreal and rotis. The Cafreal curry is made by blending coriander leaves, green chilies and kokum. Though the one we ate at Zeon’s was very, very spicy, I will not complain. Because it was lipsmacking.
While walking back to our resort, I kept thinking about the food critic Anton Ego from the 2007 animation flick Ratatouille. He requested Remy, the rat-hero, to surprise him with food. Maybe that’s what Zeon’s did. The little eatery in this quiet part of Goa actually surprised us…
Zeons Restaurant was a pleasant surprise! We ordered Goan fish curry with Bombay duck rawa fried and it didn’t disappoint us. The beef steak was excellent and so was the butter chicken with rotis. Hats off to the chef. We’ll certainly come back!

Zeons has the best Goan food and that too at an affordable rate. Good quality, quantity and taste. You have to try their fish cutlets. Their cocktails are also good. If you are looking for affordable option to eat and drink then this is your place.
A very nice place, good food and beverages, reasonable price. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend! Butter chicken is really delicious and special. Once we've got prawns sizzler -it was perfect too! And highly recommend to leave some space for a dessert and try caramel pudding - you won't regret!
Very cosy, family owned place. The server was really friendly & food was tasty.

One of the best restaurants in Varca, South Goa. It’s not very crowded. The food is delicious here. Staff is also very polite. You must try chicken tikka here.
Friendly folks. Good food. Great service. Cheaper than nearby restaurants. Ample parking space.
A good place for lunch or dinner.
If you are in Varca, this little family-run restaurant is a good bet for delicious food. They have a fairly large menu and are also very clean and hygienic.
We stopped by for lunch on 18th Sept, 2021. Enjoyed a humongous and excellent fish steak with veggies and mashed potato; and a Goan beef chilly with rice.
Came back on 20th for another tasty lunch of rice and Goan fish curry.
Wonderful restaurant 😋. Dishes are so delicious. Especially white sauce pasta and caramel pudding ultimate taste don't miss that
Zeons Restaurant is best place to eat Lunch and Dinner in Varaca, especially for Club Mahindra members. Owner and staff are so polite, cooperative. They suggest you what to eat.
Food was authentic, delicious and testy. All type of food is available vegetarian non-vegetarian, sea food all kind of drinks are available. Place is very neat and clean. Rates are so reasonable everyone can afford. Environment is also good. I will 100% recommend to visit this restaurant when ever in Varaca.
Zeon Restaurant & Bar' is hardly 500 mts from Club Mahindra Varca, We were finding some Veg Restaurant within 3-4 km radius of Club M, most of which gets closed after 10 pm, So on our way back we thought to take a chance for Veg food at 'Zeon'
We were bit skeptical to enter since it was speciality restaurant for fish lovers...BUT ..
We found it to be extra amazing for Veg food..Bingo..🎯
We ordered Sabji and Roti with some paneer starters which really was more deliciously prepared then we could have got in some veg restaurants. Taste was authentic and amazing, Good Ambiance, Great service, Food served with smile, and was pocket friendly. I would definitely go again to this place & recommend to all Veg and Fish / Non veg foodies to dine and enjoy..😊🍻💯
Food is good and reasonable price
Staff is friendly
