The okonomiyaki and miso soup are simply marvelous. The ever-courteous owner is simply charming and has had experience with Japanese food and culture. Moreover, since all of the proprietary ingredients are imported from Japan, what you eat here is the real thing. Sugoi!
Sakura café is a real must-go for people who like asian food, but something else then the indian ones. They have a card with alot of japanese options to choose out of.
We both ate the 'okonomiyaki . Less my taste, because they presented the pancake with tooo much sauce -but thats personal-.
(->people who are not so into soysauce etc can better choose another place :') Also the vegetables in the dishes could be more.

Very good restaurant. The owner uses only fresh products which makes the dishes taste better and more healthy. The owner has worked in the Japanese cuisine and has experience cooking Japanese. During our stay in Kerala we went here twice. It definitely stands out from the rest of the multi-cuisine restaurants. They also have vegan options.
It's a really nice and peaceful place. The owner and his Japanese wife are very welcoming. They are trying to give the best service and they certainly succeeded with us. The food, especially the sushi was good and very good value. My husband and I liked this place so much. Thank you! We will be back.
The only decent place I found on Varkala Beach. Ask for the Japanese menu.
