I recently dined at the Babu farm seaside restaurant and had an outstanding experience! The ambiance was delightful, with stunning views of the ocean creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. Best location to chill, it's opposite to Beach face and their service is absolutely fantastic.
But coming to food is average not bad and not good too.
While comparing to other restaurant in varkala this one surely better and good.
Must stay place at once in life time...
We had lunch here and left some luggage before heading back for a flight. Babu was so, so very friendly, going waaaay out of his way to help us catch a taxi to the airport and even subbing us the last 50 rupees when we didn't have enough change.
He used to own a chain of bookstores along the coast until Amazon :-( and is fascinating to chat to.
Babu's is a medium walk along the coast to the Cliff part of Varkala, or a brief auto journey looping inland.
Very good location facing the ocean, we went there for dinner and it was very good experience. And food was good over all. Fish in bannana leaf, chicken and other items we ordered all were good. It's a good place to try local style food in Varkala.
Best food in Varkala. The ambience may not be very high end, but if you want to eat good food that tastes like home cooked meal. This is the place for you. The beach view and warm people in the place makes you want to visit it again. I had 2 lunches here, and both are really good. Especially the fish is great.

The restaurant is placed perfectly facing the Odayam beach, apart from the sand filled atmosphere, the ventilation and lighting is pleasant. Though the menu is limited and it takes atleast 30 minutes for them to begin serving after preparation, the taste is just *chef's kiss*, awesomely cooked dishes with the right amount of seasoning, if you are around Odayam beach and if you are having hunger cravings, try this place for sure, the people at this restaurant are sweet and understanding too, we also tried the Shrimp fry the previous day for dinner, it was awesome, so give that a try too😇

The restaurants is well located just off the beach side, they have room available as well. The food is very nice, service was good and seafood was nicely recommended and prepared. Worth choosing this for a meal and not too far for walk from Cliff. There are variety of choice for dinner and neatly arranged.
Nice place to visit..... The comparative food rate is much more... nice atmosphere ..... The beach is 24*7 active.... private beach ....
We came here twice and would really recommend. The fish in banana leaf was especially delicious! Nikita was our waitress and she was really friendly and helpful. Food takes a while so don't come if you're in a rush. Otherwise it's an ideal choice. It's right on the beach looking out to sea and very peaceful.
Best place to visit as it is private beach and has it own beauty as it knows for it's unique black sand beach. Sunsets are really amazing from here
We ate a simple lunch of calamari and tiger prawns, which were some of that days fish haul, some vegetable fried rice, some chapaties and some fresh fruit juices on their shady veranda. The prawns and calamari were very good, as was the friendly service. The position directly on the beach looking out through the palm trees at the ocean is perfect. A perfect quiet spot to have lunch. (Walking past in the evening, the candle-lit tables set out on the sand were very attractive)
It was an unforgettable evening with my family. Yummy food, good service and absolutely worth the money. Sitting on the beach is most amazing part in the evening. I will comeback with my friends ❤
